I went up several sizes the past few years and none of my skirts fit me anymore, I’ve thrifted a few but I finally broke down and ordered like 10 different ones on thred up. Hopefully at least a few look decent I am very much into the little sweater + mini skirt + tights + loafers or boots combo

I know that u.s. culture is actually far from the worst about this, but I hate that buying used goods, even if they’re still in excellent condition, is considered so gauche/embarrassing. I genuinely and unironically love cleaning and restoring leather goods someone else threw out and getting another few decades use out of them, love not being beholden to whatever the current trend is when my old [item] gives out and I need a new one, love getting to pick over history and grab something I vibe with. secondhand goods are good, actually
