Welcome to my art/hobby/fandom/etc blog! My name is Kelsey, CrownedinMarigolds on Tumblr, and I've been on this website since 2012? Yep I'm an ancient being. My favorite subjects to draw are primarily OC based, and the sandbox I play in is usually Vampire the Masquerade/World of Darkness! But of course I love all manner of TTRPG. While I have things I like consistently, I will reblog and talk about all kinds of different things that may be out of left field! This is my mish-mash blog, just be warned! I'd also like to shout out my true love, my muse, my baby-daddy: @thesixthplaneteer. He's a very talented writer and a lot of my work and his work are intrinsically tied together! Information on my various Vampire the Masquerade stories/Chronicles:

The Poisoned Peach: ATL by Night - my actual VTM game I'm playing with my husband. It follows Khloe Osborne, a fresh Thinblood trying to navigate the vampire world without really knowing anything. She has a coterie and the Camarilla currently runs Atlanta, Georgia... but for how long?

Wilted Roses - The overarching full canon to the plot of our World of Darkness. This is a mixed bag of information and stories that aren't necessarily in a Chronicle but flavor the world! Nyth and Noa are probably the stars of this overall story.

Noa Hidalgo-Giovanni - my main OC, my Giovanni/Hecata necromancer! I will probably draw her across multiple AUs/fandoms so don't be surprised to see her.

Khloe Osborne - my current VTM/V5 PC in my husband's chronicle, The Poisoned Peach, ATL by Night! She is a Ventrue Thinblood, in a coterie with three other Thinbloods as they try to stop the Atlanta Camarilla from enslaving the local Thinblood populace! I also like to put her in Baldur's Gate 3 art too.

Parvati - another favorite character of mine. She was originally my first real Pathfinder PC that I played for a long time. I also started writing a book about her titled Crowned in Marigolds, sort of based on the Pathfinder world she had been placed in. She is now my Vampire the Masquerade Ravnos Elder who is in the Ministry/Followers of Set!

preferred communication: Honestly? Discord. I jump from one blog to another frequently depending on the muse I am feeling. So discord is the way to go. If you would like my discord and we are mutuals, please feel free to ask for it.

experience: Oh boy. So far as writing online, I've been rping since 2012. Started on Facebook, then slowly moved onto here and then to Twitter and then discord. Lately I've been mostly on here and discord though.

preferred roleplay type: I'm a hopeless romantic. I mean, I draft poems and romantic shit all the time. There is a writing partner of mine, whom I have a server with. We leave each other IC poetry for our characters and honestly it gives me life. I actually wrote a fic with them this past summer with our characters leaving love letters for one another. It was super sweet. (It was for Lucian x Shauntal. You can find it here if you're interested in reading it. I wrote for Shauntal.) But I am usually found writing some sort of angst or flirty/romantic scene. I'm..not the best at fight scenes, but with the UC verse, I've had to step out of that comfort zone a lot. It can get OP and Godmodding very quickly. I honestly hate it. There are some exceptions though. Like, if I am actively talking to my writing partner about the fight and what would seem fair, I'm down with the fight. Overall though? I just really don't see much appeal to being aggressive in writing.

pet peeves & dealbreakers:Lack of communication between replies for threads. If there isn't an ideal goal or direction that a thread is meant to steer towards or enough ooc conversation to keep all parties involved for the thread, things can get messy or even cause a bit of a writer's block for other parties involved. I know I offer to change my replies often if it doesn't work out well for my partner, but I'm well aware that there are writers out there who won't. Just keeping an open mind and open line of communication out of character goes a long way. It irks me when I have to deal with those who aren't. Thankfully I haven't had to deal with that in this RPC, but I have had to deal with it before.

best time to write: Late in the evening. Usually around 9-11pm EST. I'm usually mobile but if I have a thread that is important enough to be concerned about, I will relocate to my laptop if needs be.

are you like your muse?: I'd like to think I see a little bit of myself in each of my muses.

I'm always prejudged without anyone getting a chance to know me like Lilith, I have a terrible love/hate relationship with sleep like Belphie and I can be snarky like Bethany. I do love to gossip like Rosie and I have a bestie I talk to every so often to share the tea with. ( Lookin' at you @alteregozowie) I can be a devout friend like Angela and at times, I tend to have a similar temper that Ash has. But most of the time I feel like Marie. A clueless person who has no idea what the hell is going on and feeling like an absolute airhead 85% of the time.

Hi hello! You've likely seen me around before in some capacity. I used to go by Arsène if you knew me by that name, but now I prefer most people call me Reese! Use he/they pronouns for me only please! Friends closer to me may use other pronouns that I don't publicly advertise as much. I'm 24 as of writing this post, dunno if I will remember to regularly update this.

I'm not sure what hub blogs are actually used for. Figure I can share some of the posts from my various blogs with artwork either from me or my friends so that I have a quick archive of them. Might also include some general discussion about my muses and the canon I situate them in—headcanons and such. Some of my longer form writing will go up on my AO3 with links to them also included here. Went ahead and tossed my animation channel in too, though who knows when I'll be using that sucker again.

Disclaimer: I'm an adult and my time is limited for various reasons including my health. PKMNIRL is a hobby of mine, but it is not by any means my entire life. I am selective with who I write with and where I invest my time and effort, it's nothing personal. That said, there are people in this community who have harassed me or people I care about and if I see you publicly interacting with those individuals I will likely just block or ignore you to maintain separation from those individuals. Not interested in making call out posts or stupid drama, but I won't tolerate their presence anywhere near me, thanks.

Do not assume my muses share my personally held beliefs in regards to any topic. Do not assume my muses are always being truthful, some of them lie and lie often.

I do research for portraying certain topics, but I don't always get things right. If I mess up something, particularly a sensitive topic, you are welcome to correct me. I only request you try to be civil and constructive in that criticism and I will do my best to approach it in the same way. That said, I do intentionally exaggerate real life science to fit game mechanics and intentionally avoid certain topics that I am personally sensitive to so sometimes these alterations are intentional. My goal is not always realism, but to maintain a reasonable amount of believability in what I write. Some suspension of disbelief required.

Low stakes but commentates on higher stakes posts sometimes. You can actually submit whatever posts you want to him and I'll probably reblog it. Please do actually, it helps me maintain his gimmick.

@militarygradebeast - ACTIVE. Grill OP at a 24 hour diner in Fula City, Johto who managed to somehow befriend a Zeraora without even knowing what it is. Posts his day to day life with Cat. Internet liar and shitposter. Low stakes. Girlfriend will have a blog later.

@carchacrok - ACTIVE. Canon divergent Augustine. Former Team Flare Scientist (Admin), father of Jaycé, romantically involved with Valentin. His involvement with Flare was never made public, to the outside perspective Augustine is the same as typical canon, with all divergent traits and backstory only being known by those close enough to poke holes in his version of events.

@bloomingsolarflare - HIATUS. Former Team Flare grunt in hiding. Art museum thief with a fondness for Impressionist paintings in particular. Rewrites in progress.

@basculegionswake - INDEFINITE. Casi's ancestor in Hisui, Celeste. Faller blog, Post-Canon PLA, married to Volo. Originally from Nacrene City, Unova. Amputated left arm after a particularly nasty run in with an Alpha Gabite.

@venoshocked - HIATUS. Unovan teenager who one day gained the ability to use poison type moves. Descendent and spitting image of Melli. Originally part of a sub-community dedicated to magical girls based on the plates of Arceus, current revival planned, but not written. She's based on the trope of spiteful rival secretly jealous of the protagonist for having friends that later joins the main group. I love her so much she's one of my favorite blogs.

 I'm not great with ask memes, especially one-liners, without prior plotting, i tend to be pretty wordy to begin with in replies and i just feel like i do not have enough context to reply properly. in regards to companion characters i generally do not like to have our first thread taking place anywhere after act i ( this obviously does not apply if the character is not found until after that point ) mainly because traveling together for that long implies a certain level of intimacy or knowledge of the other and i can't rely on the build up in the game because it's not a dynamic that we have built up together as writers. that being said, if you want to send asks, a short drabble in the inbox is a great way to start an interaction.

experience in RP — oh geez, like 10+ years? surprisingly mostly on tumblr, but before this blog i was taking a break and exclusively on discord for ~2 years

best experiences — honestly? the best experience i've had so far has actually been the OP rp community. i've been in a lot of fandoms, but i've never felt so completely welcomed as a new writer in the fandom. the dash commentary shenanigans and the willingness to just drop into inboxes on a whim with unprompted stuff is honestly a lot of fun! i'm really happy this is the community experience i get to have on my return to tumblr

pet peeves / dealbreakers — i have 2 big ones: (1) guilt tripping me into replies or worse, ships. this is the easiest way to piss me off and will likely end up in the exact opposite of what the person wants happening. (2) genderbent characters; it's almost 2024 so i'm baffled i have to say this, but if you don't know why these depictions are harmful, this post does a nice job of putting it into words. anyway, genderbends will get a quick block from me.

muse preference ( fluff, angst, smut ) — well i tend to write a lot of cheery, silly stuff as is the nature for luffy, but also because that comes to me the easiest sometimes. but i really love angst and hurt/comfort type stuff. like yes, i want the angst, but please let me have a comforting resolution for them as well. angst and drama with a sprinkle of fluff. on that note, i also just enjoy writing luffy being silly and unhinged, because it makes people smile and laugh and you all deserve a little bit of that each day.

plot or memes — either really! i think memes are a great way to both start interactions, but also keep plotted things going. that being said, i love plotting with people and fleshing out the dynamics of our characters, and a lot of the time i have ideas to share. so i like both!

long or short replies — i am a sucker for longer replies. while not a lot of it is introspection for luffy, he is an active character with ever changing expressions and actions that he's doing. i also really love imagery and describing scenes, so that gets put into his writing sometimes as well. in the stuff where i do explore his emotions and vulnerability, i also can't do that in a short thread because there needs to be context, so i will write as much as needed to do that side of him justice. that being said, i also enjoy short things too! the silly short things are my go to when my brain isn't braining.

best time to write — usually weekends, because i can take my adderall and sit down and get a lot of stuff written

are you like your muse — despite being a lot more introverted, i do think i share some similarities with luffy. we both really like to keep things silly, but can get very serious and passionate when it comes to protecting our friends or just people in general. like him, i also have a lot of love to give to people and i really enjoy making new friends (when i have the energy). uh what else...we're both eager to fight, but in a love punch/wrestle kind of way. and i too have nearly drowned in an ocean on multiple occasions.

This a moderate to low activity blog and most things will run on a queue. I am an incredibly slow writer, so please have patience. I work a full time job and a part time job & writing takes a lot out of me. At the end of the day; this is just a hobby.

Your DNI is your responsibility not mine. I cannot keep up with who has beef with who on this website or the stipulations or exceptions around people's DNI lists. Shota’s characterization is a blend between the anime and the manga.

We shouldn’t have to talk about this but here we are, godmodding & metagaming isn’t permitted. With this in mind that doesn’t mean that Eraser is granted immunity from his actions. For example; If he chooses to provoke your muse and your muse reacts negatively, Shota will have to deal with those consequences, violent or otherwise.

Considering the nature of Shota’s power is kind of OP, in general I’m going to allow whoever I play with to use their digression as to whether his quirk is effective or not. I also won’t mind discussing this with partners preemptively, in fact I think in some instances I may prefer it. His abilities do have their limits and you can find more about the nature of his quirk here.

I am big on story-building and while I do enjoy winging threads, I also would like to know a general direction that we are going in.

I primarily view asks as 'prompt' work. I’m typically okay with having memes being turned into threads. However, if I don't see it going anywhere as far as an over-arching plot goes/not being able to work it into some sort of storyline, or think that the thread has run it's course; I may drop the thread/not respond. If you want to continue something that I have dropped; just talk to me about it.

I am very big on communication and I think it can really make or break a roleplay experience. I’m far from perfect and if something doesn’t make sense to you in our thread, let me know. If you want to drop a thread? Shoot me a message. If I've accidentally broken one of your rules, please remind me. Hell, if you want to send me a headcanon/random thought at 3am on discord? SHIPPING

I do play Shota as a homosexual, however I’m a little flexible with this if Shota and your character have some sort of chemistry. (More about this can be found here.)

On the topic of relationships, I generally don’t roleplay smut and prefer to imply what happened or fade to black, I don’t mind writing ‘the-morning-after’ threads.  I may respond to some dash games with USFW content or drabbles/metas. I might even do them in ask memes/send some asks, but don't expect it to go anywhere. This rule may change once I feel comfortable here again.

I will not be shipping Aizawa with any minors, especially his students. This also applies to students who are ‘aged up’. If you even try to approach me about this you will be blocked.

With that note, some of the ships I like to write are; EraserMight, EraserCloud, EraserMic, EraserKing, EraserOC but I am fairly open-minded about this.

Sorry, not sorry, OP of 681616362425253888, but someone not being a good fit for you isn't ableist or gross. You know what is? Putting all people with disabilities, cognitive differences, and differences in interests and preferences into a single category like that. No one has to interact without anyone else here, and if you feel that negatively about other people's differences that you can't comprehend why they might do things/need things in ways that aren't yours, you might be the asshole. You might be the ableist.

Actually sorry that being ESL has cut your potential partners down, OP, that does suck and I know some people are ignorant and inconsiderate about that. That doesn't mean anyone else's problems have to take a backseat to anyone else's. Have you considered that some of these people may have disabilities/differences that make reading your writing difficult for them? It isn't always that someone is just being a snobby elitist. It also isn't directed at the ESL community, I have rules like this for a reason and have had ESL partners while declining native English speakers for their writing.

People aren't always targeting you and doing something irrationally hateful just because you don't understand it, and they don't owe anyone a dissertation on their reasons. (That most people wouldn't read, while using as evidence of wrongdoing anyway.) That goes for wanting lasting plots/threads as well. Any reason is an acceptable reason, it is a hobby and we all have the right to do it our own way, okay? But if you need a "valid" reason, you've already given it. A lot of the RPC is working with physical challenges, are mentally ill or otherwise ND, and are working adults, students, parents, caregivers, and whatever.

As a physically disabled person with mental illnesses who is ND, I still have to work, I still have a life offline. It's hectic, I want to enjoy myself by having some dedicated threads with great partners and friends that last for a long time. Not pursuing new things heavily, or expending more effort than I do at work and in my homelife to keep up with thread/muse/blog bouncing, only to have it ignored and dropped. I enjoy rp because I am fixed on creating a story with someone, taking it seriously and loving the writing and characters is fun for me. It's stressful, not fun, for me to do rapid-fire replies, temporary things, pursuing people, putting out calls and starters, and that kind of thing. I love that other people are having fun doing it differently, but it isn't everyone's style of fun and that doesn't make anyone ableist or gross. It only means you enjoy things too differently to work out together. Like, just go in peace and cultivate your own happiness or something?

From the way you phrased your confession, it doesn't even sound like the person or people you are referencing were saying it in any hateful way. You should be honest in your rules, if you don't want to or can't interact with people based on whatever, it's the polite and fair thing to say it instead of acting like it is fine and ignoring people. You don't want these people to lie to you, then ignore you or block you out of nowhere, right? That's cruel, immature, and shitty, isn't it? Let people be honest, please. Especially if they're not being assholes about it!
