I would not recommend this movie to my friends. I would not rewatch this movie.

How white these people are. Imagine learning that you were born to be evil.

This movie's Damien is more interesting because he's like an actual person with character.

Poor Bugenhagen. I really wanted Aunt Marion to last. How quickly we lost her. This poor doctor.

Joan's death takes me right back to The Birds. Why are these omen movies tryna make us scared of animals? First, dogs. Now, birds. Leave them alone. The murderer is Satan.

These fireworks seem dangerous. But, also, what kinda rich?

Where are these Satan's little helpers coming from? What would I do if I were Mark?

Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971) is one of those super cool Sci-Fi movies that starts off all silly and fun and then ends just devastatingly. I haven’t watched this movie since I was a kid so I knew the ending was coming but it’s still just so depressing. I will say, I didn’t think about it while I was doing my reading earlier in the summer, but the first act of this movie is literally just the novel in reverse. I suppose when you’ve run out of ideas you might as well go back to the source material.
