Since June 2022 the Guarocuya Cultural Society and the Guarocuya Cultural Society Museum are working to make possible a museum for María Montez.
The beautiful thing to read is that Emilia Gracia Lazin and Consuelo Gracia Vidal were part of the team to make that possible.
Here you have the information which comes from "Maria Montez Site":
The Guarocuya Cultural Society and the Guarocuya Cultural Society Museum work intensely with a team of collaborators including Vivian Perez, Emilia Gracia Lazin, Consuelo Gracia and the renowned American photographer Tom Zimmerman; in a joint effort to revalue the memory of this legendary Dominican actress, and that in line with the publications already made by Margarita Vicens de Morales, contribute to the well-deserved knowledge, preservation and appreciation of her work, permanently exhibited in a museum, which will be our starting point for careful studies of her life and cinematographic work. Here you have the link to the Museo Sociedad Cultural Guarocuya and a very interesting PDF which has a little information about Maria Montez and I guess will be displayed in her museum once it opens!
SABOR DOMINICANO, EL RITMO NOS HACE VOLAR #AtoZ_MERENGUE
youtube
"Sabor Dominicano" is a vibrant and energetic merengue song celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the Dominican Republic. The song paints a vivid picture of the island's lively atmosphere, from the swaying palm trees to the joyful sounds of the drums. In the first verse, the lyrics invite listeners to experience the warmth and beauty of the tropical island where merengue is more than just music; it's a way of life. The pre-chorus emphasizes the tropical heat and the heart's rhythm, which blends seamlessly with the ocean's waves. The chorus is an anthem of Dominican pride, urging everyone to enjoy the dance and passion that merengue brings. In the second verse, the journey continues through famous Dominican locales, highlighting the unending festivities and the unique connection of the people to their music. The bridge calls for non-stop dancing, feeling the heartbeat of the land, and embracing the ever-present joy. The outro reinforces the everlasting influence of merengue, ensuring that its rhythm remains in the heart and soul, making life a continuous celebration. This song is a tribute to the Dominican spirit, inviting the world to dance and experience the vibrant "Sabor Dominicano."
