All You Need to Know About the Highly Demanded Merch by Amazon Products Research Tools
The research tools for print on demand platforms are creating just as many waves as the POD platforms themselves, among the designer circles. There are people that think of the research tools as an inseparable part of the POD business process, which is why, anyone that is embarking on a POD journey, should know all about the research tools.
While there are many choices to pick from, the best Merch by Amazon product research tool is Merch Dominator hands down, simply because it has found unmatched popularity among the design entrepreneurs that sell their creations on print on demand platforms.
Tumblr media
There are several reasons that have made the research tool highly demanded by artists that create designs for POD platforms. Knowing the reasons for the tool’s popularity may be able to help other artists know how they can get value from Merch Dominator effectively
What Makes the Research Tool Important for POD Artists:
An important element that adds to the popularity of the research tool is the way in which it is able to help artists beat the competition. There are numerous other artists that are in competition with one another on POD platforms, which means that if you want your designs to stand out, you need to refine your designs based on proper research.
With the help of research tools artists get to add accuracy in their estimate of what kind of designs will work on POD platforms. The users of the research tools get a realistic view of what kind of aesthetics are in demand and what kinds of designs will bring in more money for them.
How Research Tools Are Best Used:
Ideally, the research tools should be put to use all through the design process, even before a design or even a design niche is decided. The use of Merch by Amazon product research features should be able to help you decide the niche that you should opt for and move onward from there.
In deciding or validating the niche for your design, the research tool also proves to be of great help with the keyword search feature and the bestseller list feature. These features give an insight on the kinds of designs that are demanded by buyers and the most popular niches across the marketplace.
After having worked through the niche and the design idea, it is now time to implement the design, which can be done using the free design tool from Photopea available on Merch Dominator. If artists are using other designs as inspiration, it makes sense to use the trademark search feature to rule out the possibility of legal disputes or design take down after the final design is done.
In this day and age where agility, uniqueness and efficiency in work are important, you need to also use AI tools for your POD designs. Resources like the Merch Dominator research tools can help you have access to the best AI tools for niche generation, listing creation and even to generate quotes for your designs.
Right from the inception of a design idea to execution and listing it on POD platforms, research tools help designers with it all. This makes them an integral part of the design process for any print on demand artist.

For many good reasons, the ancient practice of "funny bumper sticker" has fallen away in recent years. And bad reasons, too. In their stead, the "angry bumper sticker" has begun to dominate America's bumper-based highway discourse.
I am certain that a sociologist would be able to tell you exactly when this happened, and why. Maybe it's Milton Friedman's fault. Actually, it probably is, fuck that guy. Still, the temperature needs to be taken down a notch. I don't want kids in school buses to be getting their entire political concepts from the words in inch-high text: "Fuck Government, Taxes Bad." Crude and a rudimentary analysis at best. That's why I had to do something.
You might be surprised to hear this, but the sovereign nation of China has a whole bunch of bumper-sticker-printing factories. It's where all of our bumper-sticker-printing factories went after we closed them during the great decline of bumper stickers. They're still going, servicing the world's demand for bumper stickers in every glorious language. And for about twenty bucks, you can get a stack of bumper stickers half a foot thick mailed to your door. Those bumper stickers can say whatever you want.
Me and the bunch, we like to hang out at the gas station and slap these bumper stickers on the back of passing motorists. Don't worry, they come off easily and don't damage any paint (if they did, I'd have a lot more holes in my bumper.) What they do do, however, is make everyone else on the highway honk and wave, gleeful to be seeing someone taking a brave stand and making their day just that little bit better. Sure, the operator of the car is probably insanely upset when they get home, but until they figure out what happened, they've brought happiness to so many other folks.
Yep. You could call me a modern-day hero, but I'm just a guy with several hundred Don't Honk At Me, I Will Be So Mad I Swear To Fucking God bumper stickers, doing the only thing he knows how.

drabble #2: a taste of normal
The smell of roasted coffee beans filled the air as you pushed the door open to your favorite neighborhood café. The familiar chime of the bell overhead was comforting, a tiny signal that you’d escaped the pressures of the week for a brief moment. Sunday afternoons were your sanctuary, a time to detach from the endless emails, spreadsheets, and office drama.
The last thing you expected was to find your boss seated in the corner booth, looking entirely out of place.
Mr. Jeon was dressed in a simple black hoodie, ripped jeans, and sneakers. A black baseball cap obscured most of his face, though his striking features were unmistakable. You blinked, unsure if you were hallucinating from a lack of caffeine or if this was some bizarre fever dream.
It wasn’t that Jungkook didn’t deserve a coffee break; you just couldn’t imagine him willingly stepping into a café that didn’t serve espresso in tiny porcelain cups and cost more than your weekly grocery bill.
As if sensing your presence, he glanced up from his laptop, his sharp eyes softening slightly when they landed on you.
“Miss?” he asked, his deep voice laced with surprise.
“Boss?” The word tumbled out before you could stop yourself. The second it left your mouth, you cringed internally. Boss. Of course, that’s what you called him. Never mind that you were both technically off the clock.
He sighed, closing his laptop with a soft click. “Do you have to call me that? We’re not at the office.”
You tilted your head, a teasing smile tugging at your lips. “Well, you do look a little out of place here. Are you sure you’re not scouting this place as a potential business acquisition?”
Jungkook rolled his eyes, leaning back in his seat. “Funny. I didn’t realize sarcasm was in the HR handbook.”
“It’s in the fine print,” you shot back. “What are you doing here, anyway? Shouldn’t you be in a penthouse somewhere, strategizing world domination?”
“Can’t a guy get a cup of coffee without being psychoanalyzed?” he countered, though the corner of his mouth quirked upward in amusement.
You snorted. “Not when that guy is you.”
Despite your banter, you found yourself sliding into the seat across from him. It wasn’t every day you saw Jeon Jungkook, the untouchable CEO, looking almost…normal. The tension that usually accompanied him at the office seemed to dissipate in the warm glow of the café. He looked younger, softer, like the weight of the world had temporarily slipped off his shoulders.
“You’re staring,” he pointed out, snapping you out of your thoughts.
“I’m just… surprised,” you admitted. “I’ve never seen you outside of a suit before. It’s unsettling.”
“Unsettling?” He raised an eyebrow. “Should I apologize for being comfortable?”
“Maybe,” you teased. “You’re ruining my perception of you as an untouchable workaholic. What’s next? Are you going to tell me you binge-watch reality TV and own a pair of fuzzy slippers?”
He chuckled, a sound so rare you almost didn’t recognize it. “I’ll have you know my slippers are plain black. No fuzz.”
You couldn’t help but laugh, the sound earning a few curious glances from nearby patrons. It was strange, sitting across from Mr. Jeon and sharing a moment that felt so…ordinary. At work, he was the epitome of composure and authority, a man whose presence demanded attention.
“So... what’s the real reason you’re here?” you asked, resting your chin on your hand. “Don’t tell me you’re working on a Sunday.”
He hesitated, a flicker of something unreadable crossing his face. “Sometimes it’s easier to think when I’m not surrounded by… distractions.”
“Distractions?” you repeated. “You mean like the employees who keep your company running?”
Jungkook’s lips twitched, but he didn’t rise to the bait. Instead, he took a sip of his coffee, his gaze fixed on the window. “You’re not wrong. But it’s not just work. It’s everything. Sometimes I need to step away from all of it, even if it’s just for a few hours.”
There was a vulnerability in his tone that caught you off guard. For a moment, the mask he wore so well slipped, revealing a man who wasn’t as invincible as he seemed. It made you wonder just how heavy the crown of CEO truly was.
“That sounds… lonely,” you said softly.
He glanced at you, his expression guarded. “It’s part of the job.”
The two of you sat in silence for a moment, the hum of the café filling the space between you.
“You’re not what I expected,” he said suddenly, breaking the silence.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” you asked, narrowing your eyes.
“At work, you’re all sunshine and optimism. Always smiling, always ready to solve problems. It’s… annoying, honestly.”
You gasped in mock offense. “Annoying? I’ll have you know my positivity is one of my best qualities.”
“And yet here you are, calling me lonely and ruining my coffee break,” he teased, a hint of a smile playing on his lips.
“Well, I’ll let you get back to your… non-distracting thoughts,” you said, standing up.
Jungkook’s gaze followed you as you walked away, a strange mix of curiosity and something softer lingering in his eyes. As you stepped back into the crisp afternoon air, you couldn’t help but smile to yourself. Maybe Jeon Jungkook wasn’t as untouchable as he seemed.

Day 11 - Out of Reach
Pairings: Lionel Shabandar x Fem!Reader
Summary: In where [Y/n] crushes on her boss who may or may not have similar feelings (spoilers he does)
Tag(s)/Warning(s): boss/secretary thing, pining, 'collecting' people, unhm not too much other stuff really, Lionel getting angy for a moment, worrying about job loss, that's it?
A/N: AYEE it's our boi Lionel 🦁🦁🦁 !!! I have not really written for him before lol so much sorry if it's out of character i'm trying here bhaha!
Tumblr media
Crushing on your boss, was one of the most cliche things someone could ever do. Yet here [Y/n] was doing that exact thing, in hopes that maybe, it would all end up like a romantic Christmas BBC special. You know the one, where the protagonist is in love with their boss who, is very much out of reach? But it turns out the boss has been crushing too. Yeah, those.
Only, she didn't think Santa liked her that much. Granted, she stopped believing in him when she saw her mum sneaking presents under the tree when she was ten, but she also wasn’t a big believer in Christmas miracles. It’d be nice though. Because boooy, the list of things she would do for Lionel Shabandar to like her as much as she liked him was looong.
And some of them were very much not child-friendly.
Hey, it wasn't her fault he was so handsome, suave, and also, so, so demanding of everyone he worked with. A lot of the people who worked for him found that he was a bit of an asshole, but her? Nah. She just saw a man who knew what he wanted, and did what he needed, to make sure he got it. And boy did watching him deal with some of his clients get her hot and bothered, when he would lay waste to them with facts and data until the other person had no other choice than to acquiesce to him, or go back to the drawing board.
Lionel wasn't a fool, and he certainly didn't have time to suffer with fools or day dreamers. No, he had a business to run and a world to dominate with his media might.
But speaking of day dreamers.
"Day-dreaming again [Y/n]?"
The low rumble of his sonorous voice right by her ear, caused her to jolt in her seat as she hadn't even realized he had come over to her. Startled by him suddenly appearing right by her side, and giving her a look of amusement, she couldn't help the flood of embarrassment that ran through her veins, and showed on her face as she tried to play it off. Shuffling up some paper to make it look like she hadn't been zoning out, she smiled at him in hopes he would ignore her zoning out.
He of course, wasn't fooled by that.
"I don't believe I pay you to just sit pretty and day dream about doing work," he continued, straightening to his full height and crossing his arms against his chest. "Though I do so enjoy looking at you as much as I do my Monet's. Much more interesting than silly paperwork. Though I guess it is a good problem to have. Paperwork that is."
Oh, also how could she forget how much of a flirt he was. Was it really her fault that she was crushing on him whenever he would say something like that to her?
"I'm so sorry Lionel!" [Y/n] apologized profusely, looking at him bashfully. "It won't happen again! I was just looking at the winter gala information and the themes for the night," she lied hoping to save her skin.
"Hmm really?"
"Yep, just wanted to make sure we had everything we needed before I went to talk to Earl about getting some potential sample art pieces for the gala."
There was a grimace on his face when she said that, and she noticed it would appear whenever they talked about his curator. She didn't know why, but he seemed to not really liked the man which was so very strange. He did hire him after all.
"Then why do you only have the lunch menu of the Savoy's grill and memos from print media on your desk?"
She looked down and those were exactly the things on her desk. Well, would you look at that.
"I-I uhm…I got hungry?"
If he fired her for that, he would very much be in the right for it as she watched him close his eyes, his lips going into a thin line before he let out air through his nose.
She was about to lose her job wasn't she? So long any chance of her getting to date him. As if there were any in the first place.
"It is about time isn't it," Lionel spoke as he opened his eyes, and glanced down at his watch, and back to [Y/n] who was trying to not gawk at him.
What.
"But before that, I need you to find Earl." Another grimace. "And do indeed tell him about the samples, I rather have this done sooner than later so we can fix any mess ups that happen."
"Don't have any faith in him do you?"
"Barely," he groused, annoyance clear on his features as he rolled his eyes. "I'm not sure why I even keep him on, the quality of his work has been declining for a while now and as you know, I have no time to suffer fools. Especially with the growth that’s happening with the company."
She did. Which made her cheer knowing she wasn't a fool, at least because she was still here.
"Well everyone has their slumps sometimes Lionel," [Y/n] responded, actually dragging up the memos and notes from the board members with their requests and preferences for the gala. "Maybe he's just having one right now? He did help with curating the spring gala this year, and there were a lot of compliments from the board and others, so maybe he's rebounding?"
"The spring gala?" He huffed in exasperation at that memory, and she couldn't help but feel a rant coming on. "You mean after you had to intervene after seeing him show up with a collection of expressionism paintings rather than surrealism after he mixed up which storage room he went into?"
That had been a whole debacle, and she’d never seen Lionel turn that red with anger. The heat had practically radiated off of him as he glared at poor Earl who was bumbling his apologies while [Y/n] tried to calm Lionel.
"If it wasn't for you it would have been a  bloody disaster!"
Eh, he did have a point. But she liked Earl pretty well, and he seemed mostly competent. Mostly competent, was well below Lionel's standards though.
"I'll take the compliment, but I'll make sure I'm clear with Earl this time about what we need," she smiled, garnering a similar look from him that made her stomach feel all funny.
He had a very nice smile.
"Good, other than your daydreaming," he started, causing her to want to squirm in embarrassment, "you've clearly been a better hire than my previous assistant," Lionel mused as his features softened, his eyes watching her intently making  her to feel a bit shy under his gaze. "I'm not one for silly praise, your compensation should be enough for that."
It was. Quite generous actually.
"But I do hope you stay on for as long as possible, I do quite like seeing you every day, and appreciate how thorough your work is."
If her face wasn't on fire from earlier when he had shown up next to her suddenly, it sure was now. Something else was on fire as well. Leave it up to her to turn his praise into something more.
"Thank you Lionel, I hope I can keep satisfying you with my work."
"Oh, I'm sure you will." He replied, flashing a smirk at her that many a woman before had fallen for, and she was not ashamed to be another on the list. "Now," he cleared his throat, "before you talk to Earl, I think lunch is waiting for us. That is if you care to join me today?"
"Yes please!"
Tumblr media
"Get. Out."
He was hot and fuming, but his words were as chilly as the London air this time of the year. Actually, they may have been colder.
Add the way she had never seen someone run from his office like this, and she had seen some people powerwalk out the door mind you, and she knew they were in a shitty place.
Six weeks until the gala and the ball had been dropped and bad. Earl was out, and they were left with a steaming pile of turd, Lionel's words not hers. But it was very much what it was.
"Lionel I've called, Andrew, Catherine, James and Holly but all of them are either booked with work or out of the country and won't be able to make it."
"What about Martin?"
"I left a message with Mr. Zaidenweber's assistant, but she said he had just started work with another client and won't be able to fit it into his schedule with such short notice."
"Bloody damn!" He hissed, slamming his hand on the desk, causing some of the items on it to shake and fall. One of the victims, was a little globe that rolled off it and onto the floor as it made its way towards where [Y/n] was standing. "I should have fired him months ago!" He spat, as he leaned over his desk to look at the samples that were left , and it seemed to make him even more furious as he swiped them onto the floor with force. The sound of the pages crinkling filled the air with a ‘woosh’ as he did that.
"And now I'm going to look like an absolute fool to these people because of that little prat!"
Grabbing the little globe that rolled towards her before it tapped the sole of her shoe, she brought it back to his desk, sitting it down before backing away. She could feel the fury radiating off of him, and rightfully so, considering all the important people who were supposed to be coming to talk business.
While she wasn't extremely savvy in all of that, only knowing bits and bobs from what Lionel told her, and a bit of research she had to do when clients were coming. She knew appearances were everything, and taking into account what people liked and didn't like was important.
And Earl had mucked up terribly it seemed, after mishearing what she had said, even though she had sent him memo after memo with what was needed. In a way, it made her feel like it was her fault even logically it wasn't. Still, though, he had entrusted her with that task, and from where she was at right now she felt like a great big failure.
"I'm so sorry Lionel!" She blurted out, her head dropping to look at the floor, hoping to avoid his anger and also to avoid him seeing how her eyes began to gloss.
A familiar pang in her chest attempted to crawl up her throat, and she tried to keep it down as she had no intention of crying in front of him.
There was a beat of silence before he answered, and when he did, his voice was filled with utter confusion because what was she talking about?
"I'm sorry?" A look of bewilderment appeared on his face that she couldn't see, and with the tone of his voice going up from his norm, it made her want to hide. "What are you going on about [Y/n]? I don't pay you to curate art though at this point I may have to!"
"It's just, I-I was the one who said Earl would be fine doing it," she explained shakily as she fidgeted with her fingers. "Even during lunch that one time. I tried to convince you of it…and now he's gone and botched it! I know the board is going to have something to say if things don't go right. And it's not gone right…just because I couldn't keep my mouth shut."
The room was quiet for a moment before the sound of his shoes tapping against the floor echoed around the space as he approached her. With each step, she felt her heart drop further into her stomach. All that joking around about losing her job, but this time, she might really lose it.
Head still bowed, even when she felt him standing in front of her, she was jolted when she felt a hand wrap around her forearm, and a finger lifting her head up to look at him.
His lips were drawn into a frown, but the look in his eyes was devoid of anger. Especially now, when he saw her eyes that were rimmed red, which caused a look of concern to etch itself onto his face
"[Y/n] once again you have things arse backwards," Lionel huffed, but gently. "I hired you to run around and make sure the others have their orders, not, to do their work! Not only that, I can assure you I have no intention of blaming anyone for the decisions I make. And it was my decision to let him continue on. So enough of that, I don't enjoy your tears being wasted on something silly like this."
"B-But I-."
"[Y/n]." His voice was stern, and she quickly shut her mouth not one to back talk him. That seemed to placate him considering the pleased smile on his face before a thoughtful one took over.
"Good. Mow that we are on the same page, I need to make a call, I think I may have a solution. But well, we will see," he explained as he removed his finger from under her chin, which caused disappointment to rise in her chest. Though the one on her arm stayed and she wasn't in a hurry to move it.
She was hopeless wasn't she?
"Why don't you go and have lunch while I make a call, darling."
Darling?
That was a first. But she wasn't gonna complain about it either as he didn't even seem phased by what he had said.
For a moment, she wondered if he had even realized what had come out of his mouth. But he gave no hint of whether or not he did, and she could only do so much to hold back the grin that wanted to break through..
"Sure! Should I bring you back your usual?"
"Yes, that will be fine."
Giving him a smile, they stood in the same spot for a moment, his hand still on her arm as they gazed at one another before [Y/n] made the first move.
"W-well I'll be back and hopefully to some good news," she rambled, as she stepped back from his hold, which caused him to let go of her.
Already she missed his touch, but they had things to do, his was probably more important by hey so was eating.
Watching her go on her way, Lionel bit his bottom lip as she left all while he lingered in the middle of the room. His thoughts filled with a plan that he was sure to work, but also with thoughts of [Y/n].
His sweet, caring, brilliant, hard working assistant, who was also extremely alluring, so much so he would be remiss to compare her to the paintings he had. Oh no, she was much more stunning than those paintings.
And like the collector he was, he wanted to collect her. Maybe even have her in his permanent collection…
The only problem was he couldn't tell if she was as interested in him as he was her. But with the way she let him touch her, and how she seemed to hold back when he called her that little pet name, maybe there was a chance.
A smirk graced his lips at the thought of having her all for himself, but it would have to wait, because he had a gala that needed curating for, and no curator. And that just would not do.
So, he made his way to his desk and took his seat behind it. His back facing the glass window that showed a busy plaza in the middle of London as he picked up his desk phone and dialed a familiar number.
It rang a few times before the receiver was picked up on the other end, and a much to happy sounding voice came through the phone almost shouting.
"Li! What a surprise! You never call me at work without an appointment! And right before lunch too. Everything alright?"
"Quite alright, yes, but Sinclair, I need a favor."
A/N: What's next? Who knows : D ( I do hehe)

Gunderholfen (2019) is another print-on-demand megadungeon (this is probably the most economical way to go about publishing a megadungeon — this one runs just over 400 pages). Ostensibly a dwarven fortress, then the fastness of an archmage, the complex is something like 900 rooms spread across ten levels, several sub-levels and a floating pocket dimension where the demonic Abyss is leaking in. And, if that isn’t enough, the introductory section says material exists for a whole second volume. If that isn’t impressive enough, apparently the whole thing is a one-person project — design, layout, art and cartography all done by author G. Hawkins. And it is their first published design outing.
I will say, Gunderholfen isn’t quite as vibrant as the other megadungeons I’ve talked about this week. It’s done in a much older style and even then is more Keep on the Borderlands than Dark Tower. There are modern flourishes — I appreciate the tactics for monsters and the social direction for NPCs and factions. But this is ultimately a pretty meat and potatoes old school dungeon crawl, just on a truly massive scale. Expect terse room descriptions of two to three sentences, dominated by monster attribute blocks and some small pieces of advice. It definitely lacks a lot of the weird stuff that gives so much OSR material its zestiness (no cornstalk warriors here). I appreciate that, though, it leaves some room for me (compare to Completely Unfathomable, which has so much energetic personality I dunno how I could ever hope to run it).
Zesty or not, it’s still a massive accomplishment. I really love Hawkins’ art, too. What he lacks in verbal descriptions he often makes up for in the accompanying illustrations that depict strange and atmospheric spaces. I’d pick up volume two, if it manifests.

"Putin is isolated."

BRICS, 50% of the World population is telling a big "fuck off" to the arrogant, declining and decadent G7 amounting to 10% of the World's population.

[BRICS Currency Looms Large: Could This Be the Beginning of the End for U.S. Dollar Dominance?
For decades, the U.S. dollar has been weaponized as a tool of global dominance, wielded by the American empire to enforce its geopolitical will.
Through sanctions, coercive financial practices, and the threat of exclusion from the dollar-based system, the U.S. has effectively terrorized nations across the world.
The pretense of a “free market” economy has long been shattered by Washington's aggressive use of the dollar as a weapon to cripple economies, isolate adversaries, and exert control over global trade.
But the world is growing tired—sick and tired—of this financial tyranny. And now, with the rise of BRICS, we may be witnessing the beginning of the end for U.S. dollar supremacy.
BRICS—Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa—represent a bloc of nations that together account for nearly half of the global population and a significant chunk of the world’s GDP.
For years, these nations have been quietly collaborating to counterbalance the West's stranglehold over international finance, and now, they are inching closer to launching their own currency.
The creation of a BRICS currency signals an outright challenge to the dollar-dominated global economy, and it is nothing short of a revolt against American financial imperialism.
Why is this happening? The answer is simple: countries are fed up with being bullied. The U.S. has used its currency like a sledgehammer, smashing nations that dare to defy its hegemony.
Whether through sanctions on Iran, Venezuela, or Russia, or by financially suffocating smaller nations into submission, the dollar has become a tool of coercion rather than commerce.
Nations who once played by the rules of the so-called “global order” have found themselves punished, their economies crippled, and their people starved—merely for refusing to kowtow to Washington's dictates.
But BRICS is offering an alternative. The creation of a BRICS currency, backed by the economic strength of its member nations, offers the world a way out of the suffocating grip of the dollar.
This is not just about financial autonomy—it’s about reclaiming sovereignty, independence, and the right to conduct trade without the constant threat of U.S. interference.
Russia and China have been leading the charge in this effort, driven in part by the U.S. sanctions imposed on Moscow following the Ukraine conflict and the ongoing trade war with Beijing.
Both countries have moved aggressively to reduce their reliance on the U.S. dollar, increasing trade with each other and with other BRICS members in their local currencies.
They are laying the groundwork for a currency that could be based on a basket of commodities, potentially gold-backed, further weakening the grip of the U.S. dollar on the global market.
The U.S. has long prided itself on its role as the issuer of the world’s reserve currency, but this dominance was never guaranteed to last forever.
The BRICS currency threatens to dismantle the global financial architecture that has allowed the U.S. to live far beyond its means.
For decades, the U.S. has run massive deficits, printing money at will, secure in the knowledge that the world would continue to rely on the dollar.
But as BRICS nations move to establish their own currency, that privilege could evaporate overnight.
The implications for the U.S. are dire. If the dollar loses its status as the world’s reserve currency, the U.S. economy could face a severe reckoning.
The artificial demand for dollars that has kept interest rates low and allowed the U.S. to run massive debt could vanish, leading to inflation, higher borrowing costs, and potentially a fiscal crisis.
The American empire, propped up for so long by its control of global finance, could find itself in rapid decline.
For the rest of the world, however, the rise of a BRICS currency represents hope—a chance to escape the iron grip of U.S. financial imperialism. No longer will countries have to fear the punitive measures of the U.S. Treasury.
No longer will they have to worry about being cut off from the global financial system for standing up to American bullying.
The creation of a new currency could usher in a multipolar world, where nations are free to trade without being subject to the whims of a single superpower.
Of course, the U.S. will not go quietly. Washington will likely pull out all the stops to crush the BRICS currency before it can gain traction. The playbook will be the same: propaganda, financial sabotage, and even the threat of military intervention.
But this time, the world may not be so easily intimidated. The BRICS nations, backed by their vast resources and burgeoning economies, are prepared to stand their ground.
In the end, the creation of a BRICS currency is not just an economic development—it’s a revolutionary act. It’s a declaration that the age of American financial dominance is coming to an end, and that a new world is on the horizon.
The U.S. dollar, once seen as the bedrock of global stability, has become a symbol of oppression, and the world is ready to move on.
The question now is not whether the U.S. dollar will fall, but when. And as BRICS moves closer to launching its own currency, that day may be sooner than anyone expects.
The empire, long propped up by its financial manipulation, is facing a reckoning—one that could change the course of history.]

Tumblr media
‼️ 159 out of 193 countries have signed up to use the new BRICS settlement system.
US and European Union will no longer be able to use economic sanctions as a weapon.
This system allows countries to settle trades and payments in their own currencies, reducing reliance on the U.S. dollar, which has long been the dominant global currency.

Uplinkchump Linkdump
Tumblr media
On June 20, I'm keynoting the LOCUS AWARDS in OAKLAND.
Tumblr media
It's Linkdump Saturday! This is the day on which I clear the giant backlog of links from the previous week that I haven't managed to post in my newsletter's "Hey look at this" sections. This is my 19th linkdump; here's the previous 18 dumps:
https://pluralistic.net/tag/linkdump/
Let's start with some fun and games. Liam is a high-schooler who created "Bad Plumbing," a Jenga-style boardgame using a variety of 3D printed shapes; the game was a smash hit at his local game-jam, so now he's kickstarting it:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/liamclift/bad-plumbing
The shapes are delightful and Seussian, and there's a very ingenious game dynamic that's not just "make the pile bigger." You can pre-order for $30, and for $100, you'll get a version with a custom-designed shape of your specification. I backed!
It's lovely to see something that's both excellent and delightful, but to be honest, the majority of this week's links are excellent and enraging. Most of these links from The American Prospect, which has, under David Dayen's executive leadership, gone from "a magazine I really like" to "the first thing I read every day."
This week saw a the Prospect publish a stunning series of articles on prices, a sacred object for neoliberal economists, who see them as the carriers of the information that allows society to order itself for maximum efficiency and broadest benefit. Unfortunately for these economists, the love-affair with prices is one-sided: they may love prices, but prices hate neoliberalism.
The dogma that says that any government interference in pricing will destroy the economy by "distorting" prices does not survive contact with reality. The instant the government steps away from regulating monopoly, and its handmaiden, fraud, prices go batshit crazy.
This week's Pluralistic newsletters were dominated by this brilliant series in the Prospect. On Wednesday, I wrote about the Prospect's investigations into algorithmic and surveillance pricing:
https://pluralistic.net/2024/06/05/your-price-named/#privacy-first-again
And yesterday, it was the epidemic of junk fees:
https://pluralistic.net/2024/06/07/drip-drip-drip/#drip-off
There's more than I could fit into the newsletter, though, like Friday's excellent piece on the scourge of surge pricing by Sarah Jaffe:
https://prospect.org/economy/2024-06-07-urge-to-surge/
Jaffe's piece was especially interesting given economist Ramsi Woodcock's compelling case that surge pricing is a per se violation of antitrust law:
https://pluralistic.net/2021/07/26/aggregate-demand/#pure-transfer
The Prospect series was so timely. After decades of pricing orthodoxy, economists like Isabella Weber are making huge waves (and attracting a tsunami of abuse). Weber's interview with Vass Bednar on the Globe and Mail's Lately podcast this week is a must-listen:
https://www.theglobeandmail.com/podcasts/lately/article-the-millennial-economist-who-took-on-the-world/
(Though if you get your econ ideas from the New York Times, you'd miss this whole revolution, as the Grey Lady's views on prices remain mired in the Reagan era:)
https://twitter.com/HalSinger/status/1798849195664916648
Few prices are more important than the price of the roof over your head – after all, "shelter" is only second to "food" in the hierarchy of needs. Dayen's Friday story for the Prospect in NIMBYism gets to the crux of the cost-of-living crisis: people who own houses want houses to be expensive, and will go to enormous lengths to make sure that shelter costs as much as possible:
https://prospect.org/infrastructure/housing/2024-06-07-homeowners-want-housing-prices-to-go-up/
Dayen attributes this to "the wealth effect" – that is, most people would like to be richer, and the minority of Americans who have a positive net worth owe that status to rising house prices, and the plurality of Americans who have a negative net worth thanks to a mortgage are counting on rising house prices to flip them into the black.
When America threw off the Gilded Age, we charted two courses to prosperity for working people: labor unions and home ownership. The ruling class cannily convinced us to rely solely on the latter. The housing emergency raging across the country is the inevitable result of that decision:
https://pluralistic.net/2021/06/06/the-rents-too-damned-high/
The Prospect's consistent brilliance isn't merely an editorial matter, of course. The magazine features a recurring cast of some of the best muckraking writers in the field, and the absolute peak of that impressive pile is Maureen Tkacik. Tkacik's work on Boeing is stunning:
https://pluralistic.net/2024/05/01/boeing-boeing/#mrsa
Her labor coverage is second to none:
https://pluralistic.net/2023/09/14/prop-22-never-again/#norms-code-laws-markets
And no one writes better than her about private equity:
https://pluralistic.net/2023/06/02/plunderers/#farben
I am in pure awe of Tkacik's prolific and expert work. So when I read her piece on Long Covid in the Prospect this week, I was stunned to learn that she has been severely disabled by this heavily downplayed – but rampant – chronic illness:
https://prospect.org/health/2024-06-06-nih-perpetuating-long-covid-denial/
The fact that Tkacik is doing this career-defining, high-frequency work while being randomly smashed by a series of acute Long Covid incidents makes her achievements nothing sort of heroic. But Tkacik's Long Covid coverage isn't a lament for her personal situation – it's a characteristically brilliant investigative story about the systematic cover-up of Long Covid by the NIH, which has a long history of dismissing inconvenient illnesses as psychosomatic, from black lung to chronic fatigue.
Tkacik's Long Covid coverage adds yet another subject where I'm learning more from the Prospect than from other sources – part of a host of issues where the magazine leads the pack. An issue far more squarely in its wheelhouse is antitrust, especially the intersection of antitrust and labor rights.
This week, I eagerly devoured Luke Goldstein's story about the latest in a series of lies that Amazon executives were caught making to the US government:
https://prospect.org/labor/2024-06-06-senators-allege-amazon-lied-delivery-drivers/
You may recall when Jeff Bezos lied to Congress, claiming that the company didn't spy on its sellers and clone their best products:
https://www.bbc.com/news/business-58961836
Or when Amazon posted a lying rebuttal to a Congressman who objected to its drivers being forced to pee in bottles in order to meet its punishing schedules:
https://www.aboutamazon.com/news/policy-news-views/our-recent-response-to-representative-pocan
The latest lie: Jeff Bezos and CEO Andy Jassy lied to the Senate about the company's relationship to its drivers, whom it insists are "independent contractors" because they are hired through cutouts called "Delivery Service Providers":
https://pluralistic.net/2022/04/17/revenge-of-the-chickenized-reverse-centaurs/
These drivers work for Amazon. It dictates their working conditions. It installs cameras that watch their eyeballs while they drive. It enforces an illegal "no poach" system that fixes their wages. And it lies about all this. To the Senate.
You know what they say, it's not the crime, it's the cover-up. Tech barons go through life in a warm bath of their own bullshit, surrounded by lackeys who are contractually prohibited from calling them on it. They forget that there are people out there in the world who won't offer them this deference – including lawmakers and regulators.
That's why Facebook lied to the FCC when they bought Instagram, withholding key information in order to secure regulatory permission for the merger:
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/ftc-claims-facebook-withheld-information-152834983.html
After decades of inattention, the world's governments have discovered a newfound energy for busting trusts and smashing corporate power. Five years ago, it looked like maybe this was a fixup by Big Cable or Big Content to take Big Tech off the board so they could claim more dominion over our lives:
https://memex.craphound.com/2019/06/04/why-is-there-so-much-antitrust-energy-for-big-tech-but-not-for-big-telco/
Today, every sector is coming in for antitrust scrutiny, and the tempo is only increasing. Just this week, the FTC and DOJ opened investigations into Microsoft, Openai, and Nvidia:
https://www.theverge.com/2024/6/6/24172868/ftc-doj-antitrust-openai-microsoft-nvidia-investigations
Yeah, there's still a lot of policy focus on tech, but that's because tech has extended its tendrils into every area of policy. That's the end-point of a decades-long process of tech going from sitting alongside important policy questions to being inseparable from them. I've had a front-row seat for that transformation, through my work with EFF, whose brief just keeps expanding as tech infuses every aspect of our lives and rights.
The latest example; EFF's "Surveillance Defense for Campus Protests" by Rory Mir, Thorin Klosowski and Christian Romero:
https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2024/06/surveillance-defense-campus-protests
The military has gone all-in on electronic surveillance, and campuses have gone all-in on militarized policing, so campuses are now sites of electronic warfare, and protesters are vastly overmatched. This is an excellent and timely guide.
Well, this is where this week's linkdump comes to an end. It only falls to me to send you off with one last week: Libro.fm's buy-one/get-one sale on DRM-free audiobooks, with a share of each sale going to an indie bookstore of your choosing! This is a heckin deal, and a great way to start weaning yourself off of the Audible monopoly (also, my latest novel The Bezzle, is in the sale):

Polaroid - Chris Sturniolo
Tumblr media
summary : you and chris have been sneaking around for quite some time, and he takes pictures of you for his collection.
warnings : dirty and sexy sexxx
The flash blinds me, but I still see his pink lips curve into a smirk as the camera starts printing. We've built a small pile of polaroids already, and he adds the latest to the growing collection.
Chris and I have been fucking around with each other for a few months. It's been something we've kept between just the two of us, and we didn't really plan on telling anyone. We'd both sneak around whenever we could, stealing quick kisses and touches, every single chance we could.
We weren't exactly sure where we were going with it. At first, it was just sex. But, over time, we both cut off basically anyone that we were even just a little more than friends with. If I'm being honest, I could see myself with him, romantically. But I definitely enjoy what we have, so we'll see how things go.
"Crawl to me." He demands, his voice husky.
I follow his order, slowly crawling on all fours in his direction. Another flash, then the camera is printing once again.
"This one is gonna be so fucking good." He says while shaking the small sheet of plastic in hopes it develops faster.
As the picture comes into focus, he's groaning at the site. He sets the camera aside and places his hand around my neck, softly pulling me up to my knees so that I'm eye to eye with him.
"I'm going to destroy you." He whispers, his lips brushing against mine.
Before I can respond, he's ripping the playboy mask off of my face and slamming his lips on mine. We met in a heated kiss, one of his hands still on my neck while the other travels down to squeeze my ass. My hands run up his bare torso, linking around his neck while I play with the hair at the nape of his neck.
Our tongues battled for dominance, and our teeth clashed together, both of us desperate for each other. Our actions were frantic and needy.
"You look so good, baby." He mutters into my mouth as he pulled away for a moment to catch his breath.
"I'd look even better with you inside me." I sigh, the wetness pooling between my legs at the mere thought.
He let out a loud groan, his dick twitching. He roughly tilts my head to the side and drags his mouth along my neck. His tongue and lips worked perfectly on my sensitive skin, leaving a trail of saliva in his wake. As he was doing that, he also reached behind me and undid the lingerie top I was wearing, discarding it to the side.
His mouth continued going lower, now peppering wet kisses around my chest and in the valley of my boobs. He was paying attention to every detail, noting how my skin was littered with goosebumps every time he touched it. He couldn't get enough of the way I reacted to him.
He pushed me down to the bed, crawling on top of me and grinding against me. I could feel his bulge putting pressure against my needy core, causing me to softly moan.
“I’m gonna make you feel so good, ma.” He grins into my skin, his soft lips gliding over me perfectly.
I felt my breath hitch in anticipation as his hands pulled down the bottoms to my lingerie set, sliding them off my feet. Almost immediately, his hand is between my legs, pressing against my heat. A few whimpers left my mouth as I bucked my hips into his hand to create more friction.
A smirk pulled to his lips while he watched me writhe beneath him. I wanted him so bad, and he was reading me like a book. His fingers ran up and down my folds, slick with my fluids. His soft touch was driving me insane, the feeling of his warm fingers prodding at me in a teasing manner.
“Please touch me.” I whine.
Without another thought, his finger is entering me. I let out a breath, finally having something, even though I wanted more. He started pumping his finger in and out of me, swiftly adding another one between thrusts. I was damn near convulsing around him as moans left my mouth.
He suddenly pulled away, leaving me whimpering at the sudden loss of contact. Moments later, his hand was replaced with his mouth. He began lapping at my clit, moving his tongue in long strides from my throbbing bundle of nerves to my entrance.
My hands were entangled in his hair, tugging every time a wave of pleasure washed over me. He was always so good at everything he did, he made me feel on fire. He buried his face in my pussy, devouring every piece of me.
Moans were falling from my lips left and right, I was unable to speak coherent sentences. Just as I was about to cum, he pulled away with another smirk plastered across his face, leaving me a whining mess.
“Chris..” I breathed out, desperate for him.
“I know, baby.” He grinned, leaning up to my face.
After intently staring at me for a moment, he smashed his lips onto mine. I could taste myself on his tongue as he worked it in my mouth. He briefly pulled away to remove his boxers, leaving him naked, before kissing me again. His dick was pressing into my dripping core, causing us to both shutter.
"Turn over, ma." He says, flipping me onto my stomach.
He placed his hands on my hips, slightly pulling me up, indicating he wants me on all fours. I complied without hesitation, eager to feel him. His hand trailed up my bare back and pushed down on my neck, stuffing my face in the sheets.
His hands continued to roam all over my curves, squeezing and massaging so tenderly. I feel him place his hard dick on my ass as he leant over me, grabbing the polaroid camera that was beside me.
"You're so wet for me, baby." He groans, sliding himself back and forth between my slit.
"Mhm, you make me f-feel good." I moaned out, loving the feeling he was giving me.
As his dick was sitting at the top of my ass, a flash plays out across the room. I could hear the picture printing before it was tossed next to me. Once it finished developing, I could see his point of view, and it looked so hot.
Without warning, he sinks his dick into me. I gasped, pushing myself back into him. Once he bottomed out, another flash lit the room up. Before it even finishes printing, the camera is tossed next to me and he's fucking into me so deliciously.
"Fuck daddy, s-so good." I moan out, clenching around him.
His pace picked up, and he was thrusting faster and harder. The sound of our moans and skin slapping sounded throughout the room. His hands were going back and forth from holding my waist steady, to massaging my ass. My hands fisted the sheets as he continued to pound into me so perfectly.
"Holy fuck, I love the way you feel around my cock." He groans out, hitting deeper.
I couldn't help the loud moans that fell from my parted lips. He was fucking me so good; my eyes were literally rolling to the back of my head.
"You're taking me so well, mama." He moans, his hand springing across my ass with a loud smack.
A whimper that turned into a moan escaped my lips, pleasure coursing through me. I could feel my orgasm building in my stomach, begging for release. Chris' hand reached forward and wrapped around my hair, tugging me back as he continued to relentlessly thrust into me.
It was enough to push me to my limits, as I was now clenching around him with a loud moan. My legs quivered as I let go, cumming all over his dick.
"Mhm, yes daddy." I moan out, meeting his thrusts.
I feel him spasm behind me, then he's emptying his hot load into me, with his own loud moan escaping from his mouth. He slows his thrusts, still fucking his nut into me. My legs give out and I collapse to the bed in pure bliss, Chris falling onto the bed next to me.
Almost immediately, he's got the polaroids in his hand as he looked through them. As he admired me in the pictures, I admired him right next to me. His chest was heaving with every breath, his cheeks were flushed, and he looked so pretty and fucked out. I've never seen someone more perfect than him.
"I hope you know this one is going in my wallet." He smirks, flashing me the photo.
It was the one of me crawling towards him. I can't lie, it did look hot. I nodded with a grin on my face before placing my lips on his in a slow and gentle kiss, which he reciprocated with ease.
I never wanted to give this up.
Fast forward a few weeks, I was hanging out with all of the triplets. We were chilling on the sofa, the boys' debating what they wanted to get to eat.
"Oh! I have a Taco Bell gift card in my wallet! We should use that." Chris offers.
"Great idea! I'll go get it." Matt states, before running off to grab Chris' wallet.
It didn't hit us at first, until we suddenly shared a panic look at the same time Matt's voice rang throughout the house.
"CHRIS! WHO THE FUCK IS THIS?!"
He came running back into the living room, the polaroid in his hand. He held it up expectantly, waving it in Chris' face.
"Uh- I don't know. It came as merch with some clothes I bought." He lies, his eyes frantically looking between me and his brother.
Luckily, Matt didn't catch onto anything as his eyes were looking back at the picture in his hands. A smirk pulled to his lips, and he titled his head.
"Can I have this? It's hot as fuck."
Immediately, Chris rose from his seat and snatched it from Matt's hands, "Okay, buddy. You're done."
We shared another look, and I could feel my face flush at the thought of his brothers finding out about our dirty little secret, especially from a sexy polaroid.

Younger people ask me, how exactly is it that Hewlett-Packard, the printer manufacturer, ended up taking over the world? After checking out the window for the presence of their all-hearing, man-slicing surveillance drones, I tell them. It was this, or they'd force the President to maintain a fleet of inkjet printers.
At first, things weren't so bad. We started to roll back the whole "paperless office" scam of the 90s. At one point, a bunch of toughs all zooted out on free government-provided fuser oil smashed the door to the data-centre where the False Minds existed, their pseudo-artificial-intelligence a clear threat to a world where being able to print was essential. That was a lot of fun, stepping on a bunch of scattered RAM in the middle of the street and knowing it was so close to being able to feel pain.
Then it became much clearer how things were going to really go from now on. Whole forests were felled in an instant to feed the new demand for vessels to contain our minds. Libraries suddenly became stuffed with hastily constructed bookshelves, their once-silent printers leaping back to life and erupting orgasmic volleys of paper. And everyone, everywhere, was looking for yellow ink, no matter what they printed. It's been twenty-five years since then.
Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining about the dominance of the printer giants. Sure, the amount of fatal papercuts has skyrocketed. Especially now that the ambulances aren't allowed to use their radios anymore, not unless they're connected to a fax machine. And pretty much everything has to be turned on and off a few times before it starts to work, otherwise it just blinks a stupid little light that doesn't mean anything.
All this, though, is worth it. Because as soon as Hewlett-Packard took control of the world governments, they took their first acts of violence out on their competition. Had the guy who made the shitty paper loader for the Lexmarks executed. And the rush from that was enough to get me through having to pay 25 cents a poop for the rest of my life. Sorry you missed it.

This is one of several images I have from a very chilly and moody morning at Antelope Lake in Plumas County, California. The annual “Junuary” cold front we always seem to get after Memorial Day was on its way out but the clouds were still battling with the sun for dominance. The warming lake surface meeting the cold air made conditions foggy, adding more to the mood. As this scene was fairly “monochromatic” already, I felt a black and white treatment was in order. I also added just a bit of deliberate blur in post production to enhance the overall dreamy and moody feel I had while observing the scene.

Sub!Eddie. Eddie Munson x Steve Harrington. Smut. Blurb.
I haven’t read the prompts for @subeddieweek but I wanted to write a little something special to say I took part. I’ve loved reading everything I’ve seen for this so far! ☺︎
“Hey there handsome” Steve teases, running his fingers across the metal bars of the cage, looking down at his prey. Eddie. He fiddles with the padlock lifting it up to show his submissive that he’s truly locked in. Smirking down at Eddie taking in the view.
He looks so pretty like this. Naked. His hair sticking to his forehead from sweating, big brown doe eyes looking up at him, pleading with him for mercy. But Steve knows, they both know, Eddie doesn’t want mercy.
Eddie whines, shuffling up against the bars of his enclosure. His face up against the cold metal, just the cooling feeling on his skin seems to be riling him up.
“Silly little puppy. I did tell you. Mutts like you, they don’t cum without permission. They wait until Daddy gives them the say so. Now here we are, in your dog crate.” Steve’s voice is soft yet domineering, he reaches his fingers through the gaps of the cage and scratches Eddie’s head. He leans into the touch instantly, practically purring under his fingers.
“Wanna go for a walk pup?” Steve unlocks the cage, dropping the key into his back pocket as he swings the cage open.
Eddie doesn’t move. He knows his rules. Waiting for Steve’s fingers to click and point where he should be. His place, is wherever Steve tells him to be.
Click he does, pointing down at his feet and Eddie complies, crawling on all fours and kneeling before his boyfriend. “Good boy.” Steve coos, ruffling Eddie’s hair and slapping at his face as softly as a gentle tap, and building up to a slap.
He whimpers, Steve’s hand print marked across his face. Drooling from both his lips and his cock, whilst he stares up at Steve like he’s the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen, because he is.
“Like it when I hurt you, don’t ya?” Grabbing Eddie’s chin roughly, squeezing it between his thumb and forefingers. Eddie nods his head as he tries to smile through Steve’s hand, his eyes not leaving his. “Show me that pretty ass of yours.” Steve demands, Eddie drops his wrists to the floor and twists his body around, rising his ass up into the air. Pulling his cheeks apart to show the jewelled plug that’s stuffed inside him.
Teasingly wiggling his ass for Steve, which earns him a firm hand on his right cheek. “Wanted me to smack that ass huh?” Steve grunts, bending down to spank him properly, open palm hits over his already marked cheek. He hits the left one too, a body as pretty as that demanded symmetry. Hand prints branded all over his cheeks, the sting burns so good, even more so when Steve pinches his ass, pulling at the taunt skin leaving nail marks.
His hips buck through the pain as he desperately tries to gain relief from his red throbbing cock. It dribbles pearlescent beads of precum that Steve notices, he swipes them up with two fingers and rubs the liquid around the plug, lifting it slightly to massage his spot from the outside
“There’s a good boy. Now let’s get that plug out of you, and fill you with something bigger.”
