Cas is Dean's best friend. Cas is Dean's lover, his boyfriend. Cas is friends with Sam. Cas is the dorky little angel that does everything wrong for the right reasons. Castiel is an Angel of the Lord. He's a soldier; a warrior; he led armies in Heaven, fought battles for centuries, millenia, eons before humans even cared to exist. So, way back when, when Cas kissed Meg, Dean had to do a double take. Because the way he kissed her? That wasn't Cas. That was Castiel. And when Cas told Raphael, "Today? You're my little bitch.", that was Castiel. And when Cas carved a banishing sigil into his own chest and banished all the angels from the room, including himself? That was Castiel.

When they'd started to kiss, it'd been Cas. Sweet, soft Cas, carefully asking for entrance at his mouth, softly trailing his nails over Dean's still fully-clothed sides. But now, it was starting to be Castiel. Dean could tell by the way he plunged his tongue into his mouth and claimed it, rather than asking permission and dancing with Dean's tongue.
