Finished reading vicious by V.E Schwab saturday, it was VERY good
Big fan of the premise. EO’s are super interesting and i liked everything to do with the process of the boys becoming ExtraOrdinary. Loved the found family aspect, loved all the powers, LOVED the complexity behind every character. I want more lockland era interactions between vic and eli and i think there are in the sequel? I hope so, anyway. Oh, and the ending was great.
Written beautifully.

Why Eli is a Psychopath but Victor Definitely is NOT
Psychopathic traits: "A lack of remorse for actions, An absence of empathy for others, A disregard for the feelings and safety of others, and Often criminal tendencies."
Eli scored 100% on all of those, and that was before he died. Victor, meanwhile, wonders if he should tell Angie how he feels and wonders what her reaction would be. He wonders if he's better or worse than other people. He justifies wanting to be a doctor by saying he's good at chemistry (or something like that). He can't lower his guard to Eli -- or anybody -- by admitting he wants to be a doctor to help people. So Victor is constantly evaluating and reevaluating himself. He pretends a lack of empathy when really it's so strong within him it survives his resurrection. Not just with Sydney, either. He touches Dol to relieve his pain when they find the dog. Eli, in turn, because he has no empathy, reads the signs of a psychopath in Victor because that's what he wants to see.

“Victor,” you coo. “C’mon, we have stuff to do. Wake up, sleepy head.”
“No.”
Victor reaches out and takes your hand as he answers, though he doesn’t move from your shared bed. His answer is precisely what you expect, and the peaceful look on his face seems… completely out of character and slightly concerning.
You wake quickly and sit up with a gasp. The darkness is your only constant, and the empty space beside you serves only as a reminder of what you have lost. Textbooks and diplomas line the bookshelf across the room yet your college memories only remind you of what could have been different.
Less than twenty miles away, Lockland stands sentinel, where gothic architecture meets country club. The idea saddens you because once, you sat in Lockland trying your hardest to get close to Victor Vale. And then he pushed you away.
You want to forget Victor. The promise that you made to stay close is one that you could easily break, that you should break. It would only take a moment to pack up what truly matters and leave it all behind. But the 22-year-old Victor in your mind makes you stay; the Victor that leaned in close in the library and wanted your attention is the one you try to remember. The questions you had the night he let you go – although he let you go the moment he met Angie – continue to plague your mind. Looking back, Victor gave you every sign you needed to see that he wasn’t interested, he would never pick you, and that the dream life you wanted was just that: a dream.
You must get out of bed and escape your memories, so you get dressed and leave. As your mind races, you don’t notice which direction you are walking.
✯✯✯✯✯
Ten years have changed a lot of things. Victor Vale is nothing like the kid he left behind a decade ago. Now that he is free from the chains of Eli Ever, and from prison, and in a position to get everything he has ever wanted, Victor finds himself stuck. Every night in prison, Victor thought of the things he would get when he got out: a shiny, materialistic reward waiting in his future. Even as his mind wavered between which would be more rewarding, a comfortable bed or a room of his own, there was one constant. Victor craved someone more than any of the things he thought of.
“Hey, didn’t you go to school at Lockland?” Sydney asks from the backseat.
Victor clears his mind of his daydream, of a past that led him to a different future, and hums.
“It’s, like, ten miles from here,” she adds.
“Too dangerous,” Victor answers quickly.
“Oh, yeah,” Sydney agrees sarcastically. “I’m sure the exact same security guards from the night you died are just waiting for you to show your face again.”
“Why the sudden interest in Lockland?”
“The kid has been in hotel rooms since we picked her up,” Mitch points out. “Surely a driveby in the middle of the night won’t hurt.”
Victor rolls his eyes; he is used to Sydney and Mitch teaming up against him (even Dol, when he’s around). He sighs but nods, and Mitch slows to turn toward Victor’s past.
✯✯✯✯✯
The only thing that has changed is the addition of one streetlight. In the minimal light, the stretch of sidewalk where you last saw Victor looks just as dismal as in your memories. A girl laughs on the other side of the tree, and you turn to walk away. Someone is blocking the path, and you freeze, unsure if you’re dreaming, time traveling, or incredibly unlucky.
Victor says your name and takes a step toward you. You match his step as you move back, keeping distance between you. The distance was his decision, he forced you back, yet he seems surprised by your movement.
“Vic, we…” Sydney begins, but she trails off when she sees Victor.
“You stayed close,” Victor says softly. “I thought that was just-“
“A trick to convince you to pick me instead of someone else?” you suggest as you remind him of what he said the last time you spoke. “But it doesn’t matter, right? If I don’t matter, which we both know I don’t, then where I live doesn’t matter either.”
“I-“
Victor can’t form a sentence and feels inadequate for once in his life. He looks at you and remembers what you used to be like. You were bright and open, and whatever light you used to have that you were kind enough to show Victor has been thoroughly put out. By him.
“I went to prison,” Victor says.
“I know,” you answer. You cross your arms as an added layer of defense, but your fight-or-flight responses are kicking in. You hate that you remember Victor knows all about those adrenal triggers.
“You said you’d stay close for me. If you meant that, my friends over there could use a safe place to stay, to lay low while everything blows over.”
Sydney and Mitch wave when you look over, and you fight the urge to ask Victor why he let other people trail along with him but was so against letting you in when he needed someone most.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea,” you respond. “You don’t like me, Vic, so let’s just do what we do best and walk away from each other.”
As you and Victor continue staring at one another, you’re both feeling the same thing: reluctance. You want to be there for Victor, but he left once, and you know he will do it again; you invited him to get close once and have regretted it ever since. Victor, however, is only reluctant to stay with you for your safety. He has feelings for you, and they hit him with full force as he looks at the sadness in your eyes. The sadness and loneliness that he caused.
“Bye, Vic.”
You turn to leave, and Victor refuses to let you walk away once more. He has to do something before you are too far to reach. Again.
“I love you!” Victor calls.
The statement catches you, Victor, Sydney, and Mitch by surprise. You stop with your back to him and wonder if you really are dreaming. Victor doesn’t know where it came from, but he knows that it’s true. He may not even know what love truly is, but if he is going to find out with someone it is going to be you.
“I tried not to,” he adds. “I had to deal with Eli, and you were so close that it scared me. But don’t make me watch you walk away again, not without giving me a chance.”
“Stop,” you demand as you turn toward him. “You don’t get to walk back into my life after ten years and tell me that you love me. You broke me, Vic! I let you get close, I was desperate to keep you close, and you shattered everything I thought we had. I can’t do this again. I won’t do this again. You may think you love me, but I know you well enough to know that you don’t. Using me to get to the point that you need is not worth it, Vic. If you need help, say that, but don’t lie to me.”
“I lied to you once. And it wasn’t tonight.”
“Stop,” you repeat.
“I need you. You are the only thing I have ever needed.”
“Prison will make you think you need a lot of things.”
“Can you just, for a second, consider giving me a chance to show you that I am not the same as I was ten years ago.”
You chuckle, but there is nothing funny about losing Victor a second time. “I have no doubt about that… You have a week, and then, like it or not, one of us is walking away.”
Victor takes the chance, and as he follows you home, he decides to be selfish for once. He wants you, and he is going to get you. Of all the mistakes Victor has made in his life, two of them haunt him: not telling Angie how he felt, and letting you go. Now that he can admit that he loves you like he’s never loved anyone before, he wants you to be with him. A week isn’t much time, but Victor is going to use every moment to convince you and get what he wants.
✯✯✯✯✯
When you wake the following morning, you assume that running into Victor at Lockland was a dream. However, the noise that can only be described as chaotic coming from your kitchen makes you think differently. Mitch and Sydney are in your kitchen, and Mitch’s efforts to stay quiet are canceled out by Sydney’s excitement to be out of a hotel room (if only for a week).
“Sorry,” Victor mumbles as he walks behind you. “She doesn’t get out much.”
“Thanks to you,” Sydney adds quickly.
“It’s no problem,” you say softly. “I, uh- Do I want to know why you need to lay low?”
“Probably not,” Victor answers. “But if you ask, I’ll tell you.”
You move to the left to increase space between you and Victor as you shake your head. The reluctance from last night has strengthened, and you briefly consider locking yourself in your room until they leave.
Victor places a mug before you. “You still like it the same way?”
You nod and pull your favorite drink closer to you. Victor's actions and words align, but the stark contrast between the current Victor and the Victor that forced you to walk away years ago makes you hesitate.
“Most people say, ‘thank you.’ Since you’re cute, I’ll assume you thought it,” Victor says.
Hearing the exact words you said to him in Lockland makes you look up quickly. Victor has that look, the one that looks like he might smile, and you smile at him before looking back to your mug.
“I’ll assume it’s still a hard pass on the hugs, too,” you whisper.
“Maybe you’d be surprised.”
You decide not to ask, and as you focus on ignoring him (as much as you can sharing a living space, at least), Victor realizes that your roles have completely reversed. You and Victor have traded words, actions, and responsibilities down to the smallest detail of your relationship. It’s like a dance, and Victor is already confident in his new position, but he has to convince you to trust him to lead.
After Sydney and Mitch leave to get Dol from the hotel, you and Victor are left alone.
“Why’d you disappear?” Victor asks.
He breaks the silence, and your brows furrow at his question.
“I asked you in the library, before everything happened, and you never really answered.”
“It doesn’t matter, Vic.”
“You do matter,” Victor promises. He leans forward to look into your eyes; his are serious as he holds your attention and repeats, “You matter.”
“At some point, though, you have to admit that your life was probably better. That you were, I don’t know, better off without me,” you reply.
Eye contact with Victor has never been easy, and you used to have to work relentlessly for it. Now, he holds your eyes with conviction and something else you can’t place.
“You disappeared because you thought I didn’t need you? How did that-“
“Vic.” You stand and tear your eyes from his as you add, “We’ve got a few days until we go our separate ways. Don’t make this harder than it needs to be.”
“Why can’t you see-“
“No!” you interrupt. “I saw ten years ago, and you blindsided me. I’m smarter now, Vic, and I am not losing you again. I gave you space once, and maybe I never should have stopped.”
Dol barks at your front door, and you return to your room. It was a mistake letting Victor this close, and you don’t know if you can trust anything he says.
✯✯✯✯✯
Something happens during Victor’s fourth day with you. When you exit your bedroom for breakfast, he catches your eyes over the table and gestures toward your back door. Despite your doubts, you follow him. In the privacy of your backyard, you wrap your arms around yourself and wait for Victor to speak.
“Do you want to talk about it?” he asks.
You shake your head, and Victor looks away.
“I didn’t want to disappear,” you admit. “I came to see you in the cafeteria one day, but Angie was there. You looked so happy that I couldn’t- didn’t want to interrupt. All I ever wanted was for you to be happy, Vic, and I gave you the room to do that.”
“I-“
“You loved Angie. I could see it. So, when I heard she died, I thought you might need a friend. I was wrong.”
“Look at me,” Victor requests. “I am not giving up on you again, but if you want us to leave, we will.”
“I don’t know what I want.”
You wipe your hands across your cheeks as Victor watches. He wants to reach out and offer the soft touches you used to give him, but your reluctance to let him in is something he can easily see.
“I have been hurting for ten years,” you whisper. “But I want it. I still want you, so badly, and I think I can trust you. I’ve been wrong before.”
Victor steps toward you, and when you don’t move back, he takes another step. When there are only inches between you, he holds your eyes with his again.
“I want you to be mine,” he murmurs as he raises his hand toward your shoulder. “Selfishly, thoughtlessly, mine.”
Sydney clears her throat in the doorway, and you and Victor look over simultaneously.
“Are you okay?” she asks Victor.
“I was better before you interrupted,” he replies. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
“Are you dying again? Do you have a fever or something? Because-“
“Syd, what is wrong with you?”
“You’re being… gross.”
“She sounds like you,” you murmur.
Victor takes a deep breath before asking Sydney to give him a minute.
“You have two days, Vale,” you say when he turns to you. “If you are willing to work as hard as I did, we’ll see where things go from there.”
“Tell me you can see it,” Victor asks.
“You’re not giving up on me again and unless I ask, you’re not walking away,” you reply. “I know. But I spent years fighting to get close to you. Besides, Sydney clearly thinks you have a parasite or something, so how am I supposed to know this is really you?”
Victor rolls his eyes and opens the back door. He follows you in, and when he sees your smile is back, he is glad he wasn’t dreaming when he saw you at Lockland a few nights ago.
✯✯✯✯✯
“I’m going to miss that mattress,” Mitch says as he packs his bag.
“Dol likes the yard,” Sydney agrees. “Back to hotels, I assume?”
Victor is still in the guest room, and you knock on the door before entering. He zips his bag and sits on the edge of the bed as you approach him.
“Did you mean what you said at Lockland?” you ask.
“Which time?”
“This one.”
“That I love you? Yeah. You’re one of the only things I needed- craved in prison.”
“Really?” you ask with a smile. “Because Mitch said you talked about getting a bed and a better toothbrush all the time.”
“In college, when you would talk to me, there was this light in your eyes,” Victor says. “I haven’t seen it in a long time.”
You reach out and smooth your hand over the shoulder of his trench coat. When he doesn’t move or comment on the touch, you step closer.
“Prison give you all the time and space you need?” you murmur.
“Something like that.”
 “Have you reconsidered my offer?”
Victor looks up, and his almost smile returns. He clearly understands what you are referring to and moves his arms out.
“Test away.”
You step forward and hug him, and when Victor’s arms wrap around you, you believe him. Not what he said when Angie died, but everything he has said this week.
“Now that I’ve had one, we can’t stop,” you say against him. “So, I guess that means your hugs are addictive. We’ll have to test this further.”
Victor mumbles something, and you squeeze him. The initial reluctance you felt, the fear of being pushed away again, brought you closer to Victor than ever.
“You really love me?” you ask.
“I do. But-“
“You’re not perfect. I know; I’m not either. I don’t expect this to be easy, Vic. Surely you remember how hard I worked in college.”
“Seems like you’d get tired.”
“As if I could get tired of you,” you tease.
Victor pulls you into another hug and doesn’t move when the door opens. You push him away gently and see Sydney staring at Victor.
“Does this mean we’re staying?” she asks.
“It means I’m staying,” he answers with a shrug.
“You’re welcome to stay as long as you want, Syd,” you offer.
Sydney thanks you before watching Victor with her head cocked. “You’re weird,” she decides before she leaves.
“I didn’t want you to leave,” Victor admits. “The night that Angie died, I had unfinished business with Eli. After dealing with that, though… I’m ready to get what I want.”
“That’s me?” you ask. Your faux surprise makes Victor groan until you add, “Does that mean you’re selfishly, thoughtlessly mine, too?”
Victor looks into your eyes and smiles. “Forever.”

You don't know idols irl
But Jungwon has been nothing but a fucking sweetheart to engenes, he's constantly updating us, constantly posting content for our enjoyment, constantly doing his job as an idol
But some ungrateful 'fans' are now hating on him, for a rumor based of off there i say bullshit proof, like photos that are so blurry that it could be anyone(lemme tell you if you took those 'proof' to court, a good judge will laugh in your face and kick you out, that's how shitty they are), and proof from crazy individuals detailing how they stalked him.
Like instead of coming together worried about his privacy being so disgustingly violated, there r ppl, screaming and shouting at Jungwon??
Same on winter's side, i have seen the clips from that aespa fan meeting, where these 'fans' were screaming and cursing at her. over a rumor that if you had common sense you could see are false.
I don't think these people are really fans, these individuals are just people jumping on an opportunity to hate, and be vicious. I saw the email template they were planning to send to hybe, and it's just filled with stupid delusions.
Jungwon has admitted that he isn't in a relationship (even if he was, he is 20, who gives a shit) and these people have deluded them selves that he is, because of proof thaf can soo easily be disproven.
Kpop idol's mental health is so important, from torturous trainee life, to torturous idol life, Multiple idols have passed, because of crazy insane stupid rumors, that ruined their mental health. Yet, to this day so many people don't feel shame when they toy with an idols mental health like this.
And if something awful does happen, which i fucking pray not, these people will be the loudest about mental health. Please remember that idols are HUMANS not things or property. Jungwon has been so mentally strong, but i don't know how he's actually doing bts, as a my and engene, this situation is hurting my eyes.
If u r one of the insane individuals still angry at this, plss plss leave, i promise Jungwon and enha wouldn't care about losing 'fans' like you. Jungwon has said, on camera, by himself, that he's not dating, and you still delude yourself to thinking he is because???
It just seems like you have nothing fun or special going on in your life, please go hang out with family and friends, if you don't have friends make some, get a job, get a more productive hobby, go to the gym and do some boxing, since you are so desperate to let out rage. You say you love enhypen, yet you are so quick to treating them like this, because you lack respect not only for yourself, but for him.
we are going into 2025, a stranger, which is what jungwon is to all of us at the end of the day, dating, should not, and I repeat should not get you THIS riled up, you're mad at a human for falling in love?
And if you believe idols shouldn't date still, i better not see you dating either, cause by your logic, you also belong to said idol, and you dating is also a betrayal, you should also lose your job and everything you've worked hard for. You see how dumb you sound?? if not i really pity you, cause there is something insanely wrong with you.
Therapy is expensive, but human connection is mostly free, if you had friends, a job and a life to look forward to, you wouldn't care so much about this.
Parasocial relationships at the end of the day are not real, jungwon isn't really your friend, your boyfriend or your husband, he's a guy doing his job, being a singer, dancing and making music. your role as a fan, is to support him, so no he doesnt owe you any more than what he's given you(making good songs, dancing, concerts, albums/ the lives, photos and content r extras for your entertainment, he doesn't have to do that either if he doesn't want to, but he does(a lot),so shut up and know your place). he is a person, a human, and like yunjin said, an idol doesn't mean a dol(l) to fuck with.

Forgiveness | Thranduil x Reader
Using the prompt ‘you expect forgiveness, but you refuse to ask for it’ from this list
I felt like I wanted to try some random prompts so this is what happened haha. Thranduil is a bit of an asshole in this one. One part could be triggering for certain people, I’m not sure - he does hurt/bruise the reader but it’s technically unintentional.
Thranduil had long since had you under his spell. He had been courting you for so long that everybody looked upon you as his Queen despite the fact that there had been nothing truly official to say you were yet. Before falling for your King, you had been a skilled healer and you helped on the training grounds, being fairly skilled with the sword. Ever since he claimed you as his, you had been allowed to continue on with these things. He knew it was important to you and you were an asset to his kingdom with your skills so it seemed like a no brainer. However, recently, things had started to change. He had become much more strict, a little more controlling in your opinion, forbidding you to go places and take part in things as you normally would have.
Sauron’s forces had been descending on Mirkwood the last couple of weeks, attacking with a force beyond even the Dol Goldur spiders and the stray orc packs that the realm had grown far too used to. The King and his soldiers had been going out and fighting on the front lines but you had been practically locked in your tower like a lost princess, forbidden from helping either with a weapon or offering healing on the field, and it was starting to irk you. Today, however, had been your breaking point. Instead of simply assigning someone to watch the door to the room he had ordered you to stay in, Thranduil had forcefully taken hold of your wrist, dragged you back into the room as you had insisted on leaving and locked the door, confining you like a prisoner. You had stayed there, fuming, until he finally returned from the fight, weary and unhappy, but you were not in the mood to give him space or peace.
"You expect forgiveness, but you refuse to ask for it!" You all but shouted at him. It was true, he would expect you to just forgive and forget everything that he said and did without question. This had gone on too long and you were tired of it. Tired of his attitude and his anger and his downright disregard and disrespect for you. This was not the Thranduil you had fallen in love with. This was not the Thranduil you thought you liked, let alone loved.
“I will not beg for your forgiveness.” Thranduil’s reply was cold when it finally came. You watched as he moved to pour himself a large goblet of wine and bring it to his lips. His back was to you and he didn’t bother to turn and afford you one single look, which only frustrated you further. This man had locked you in a room, taken away your freedom, forbidden you from aiding your friends and family, some of whom had died out there these last weeks!
“You don’t even regret it.” You snapped, turning on your heel and making your way to the door, intending to escape him, but he was upon you in a moment, spinning you around and walking you back towards the wall, bringing his arms up and pinning you there. As you looked up at him you felt real fear of him spike through you for the very first time. You had been apprehensive of him in the past but never like this. Your thoughts flashed back to the way he’d taken hold of your wrist to lock you in the room, his long fingers actually leaving a light trail of bruises on your skin.
“Of course I regret it!” He glared down at you as if he could not understand what you were saying. Thranduil had seen the defiance in you that morning, when the news had come of just how vicious today’s attack was, and he’d known you weren’t going to stay where he told you to stay. He knew you would sneak out or break away and he had to make absolutely certain that you wouldn’t. He couldn’t go into a fight with all of his worry about you breaking the concentration he so desperately needed. “Do you think it brings me pleasure?!” He snapped, gaze locked on your own. “To cage you like a bird?”
“Yes!” The word had slipped from your lips before you had the chance to stop it and you instantly regretted it as you watched a look of dismay cross his face. His shoulders sagged just slightly and he turned, letting the cage of his arms fall away from you as he walked back over to the wine, refilling his goblet.
“Thranduil...” His name left your lips like a prayer in the silence that followed as you watched him. If you didn’t know him well enough, you would not have noticed the way his shoulders slumped and the sad air around him as he poured his wine. Despite your anger, you forced your feet to move, slowly padding across the room towards him.
“You do not understand.” He murmured, gaze locked on the dark liquid in the cup he was holding. He threw back the contents and swallowed hard, replacing the empty cup on the table slightly harder than was necessary. He still hadn’t looked at you.
“Then help me to.” You said, frowning as you watched him purposely avoid your gaze. Arguing with him was difficult, feeling so much distance between the two of you hurt, and you just wanted more than anything to understand what had happened. Understand what you had done to make him so angry.
The room was silent for a long while. Just when you thought he wasn’t going to speak to you again, he did. “If I let you go out there.” His voice was low and rough, full of raw emotion that he was attempting to keep wrapped up. “I...” He paused, swallowing thickly. “I could lose you.”
It hit you then, in a sudden rushing realisation.
Thranduil was scared.
He wasn’t angry with you. You hadn’t done anything to displease him.
A serious danger had descended upon the Woodland Realm and he was trying to keep you safe. He was going the wrong way about it because you thought to yourself that he could have just come to you and explained this instead of treating you like he had but if there was one thing you knew about the Elvenking it was that he didn’t always deal with his emotions well. For the wellbeing of his people, sure, but when it came to his heart? Not always. Fear and loss could cripple him. He had lost his beloved wife, and those wounds still ran deeper than you thought you might ever comprehend, and his son was not here, off on a dangerous quest. He did not know if Legolas was alive or dead. You were here, in front of him, and he was trying to keep you safe.
Alive.
“Thranduil...” You closed the rest of the distance between you both and reached out, placing a hand on his chest as he finally turned to face you. He looked down and sighed, his gaze raking over the bruises he had left on your wrist earlier. He tsk’d and gently raised your wrist to his lips, pressing soft kisses to the skin. You couldn’t help but smile as you watched him. This was an apology, one you accepted with a soft smile as you could see the regret in his eyes as he saw the damage he’d left in his wake. “You should have just told me.”
“Would you have listened?” He asked quietly, looking unhappy still but his mouth did quirk up into a slight smirk as his eyes met yours again. You could tell he knew the answer would be no and he couldn’t help the fond chuckle that rumbled in his chest as he watched you lower your gaze.
“I would have tried to...” You mumbled, pressing your face against his chest to hide the blush that had crept into your cheeks when he laughed.
Thranduil didn’t say anything, he just pressed a kiss to the top of your head and wrapped his arms around you. “I am sorry... so sorry.” The words were quiet when they came. You almost didn’t hear them but when you realised what he’d said, you smiled.
You wrapped your arms around him in return and gave him a gentle squeeze, closing your eyes as you held onto him, simply relishing in the feeling of the chasm between you both being closed again, finally. “I forgive you.”

Hello Vicious Tumblr!
this is me shamelessly promoting my fic: The Blue Wrath which is a zombie apocolypse AU! Kind of! It's mainly a vehicle for a Sydney Clarke character study.
Featuring:
A lot of time exploring Sydney, Serena and Victor's motives for their actions in canon
Sydney, Mitch and Victor's dyanmic in Vicious applied at their Vengeful ages (Sydney is 18, Mitch and Victor are somewhere in their 40's)
Eli and Serena having a dysfuncytional working relationship.
Dol acting like a stray dog! (He bites! causing said apocolypse.)
Canon typical Eli and Victor homosexual shenigans.
Toxic sisterhood.
If any of this intrests you, you should go and check it out! It'd mean a lot to me :D

Because Splinter was going through something horrific as his body was altered against his will (whether man to rat or rat to man depends on continuity) and he found four random turtles going through the same thing and went out of his way to car for them too. And then he lived in fear of humans because of what he thought they might do to his family and still accepted Casey and April despite that.
Okay so some of them are related yes but that doesnt stop the found family okay???? Draxum got a redemption arc and reaccepted into the family, April has been with the turtles and has been their big sister for like, 8 years or something meaning like half their lives cuz theyre teenagers, Cassandra changed sides to the people that showed her true love and care and loyalty, and Casey Jr. might not be blood related to the turtles but they think of him as family and they raised him. Leo is his apocolypse dad!
Team Victor:
Sorry, I got no propaganda for them yet :(
Mods note: This is the version of tmnt I grew up with. And nobody ever talks about it. Someone please tell me I'm not the only one who watched this. (I also have a game of Monopoly themed around this version)

🎃 Anon Asks: "UGH! And this is why I love you! I can’t even imagine the stress you and countless others involved with sex work have to go through daily because of how people are. Between this game and a couple of others (DoL is one that can be mentally f someone up but at the same time be hot) and how those people are, it can be scary how quickly people turn aggressive or vicious, but knowing that it’s basically the fringe of sex work makes it completely unimaginable at how distressing and taxing sex work can be. It’s giving “Show and Tell” by Melanie Martinez vibes. It really can be easy though to just step away from things if they don’t mesh and I don’t understand why people don’t do it if it’s not harmful to others or themselves. Maybe it’s because they created the soft fluffy boyfriend image in their head and don’t want to let it go which I can totally understand, but like how the one anon on here said, Jack is a manipulator and extremely dangerous. As someone who deals with REAL ghosts, I know how dangerous they can be since they are still people after all. If they were bad alive, then they’re still bad when dead (unless they actually put in the work to change, but lies are still a thing.) So with Jack not only having normal ghosty qualities but some other powers that are very questionable to him being a ghost and maybe something more, putting a halo on his head might not be the best move here. Sure, we can put on our rose glasses here for fun, but for those who take it more seriously and don’t truly see any issues with his grooming behaviors, I’d be more concerned for the individual based off my own personal experiences of when I acted that way as a teen. I put myself in dangerous situations because of mindsets like that and I’m afraid of others acting the same way with REAL people. Ironically, it’s because I repressed my sexuality and kinks for the longest that it came out in some damaging ways, just as you’ve mentioned. So that’s why I’m thankful that your blog exists because it delves into sex and kink positivity, sex education, and healthy views of a variety of kinks. (Like the fuck-or-die kink with Joesph. I didn’t know the want of urgency in sex had an official kink name, but did it open new doors for me? Hell yeah it did! Lol) Even the normal headcannons you do for characters portray healthy versions of even the most filthiest of kinks and what a person should look for when establishing a healthy relationship with their kinks. Compared to how many sites portray unrealistic views of sex (*coughmainstreampornCOUGH*), it’s nice to have someone who is more reliable source to discuss about sex and kinks. Now if Jack wasn’t such a manipulative, dangerous guy and had a more healthy relationship with himself and others, I’d totally go for IRL. Oh, and of course it’d be nice if he was alive too lol. But as of now, I’m just going to continue indulging in such a toxic relationship through the game and fics. In any case, I’m glad you liked my rambling on what I think certain aspects would be played out with Jack sexually! I always love reading your headcanons and the responses you give to other people’s takes so seeing how you saw mine was pretty awesome! Lol but I can DEFINITELY see Jack acting like that being a sadist. It’s like he wants his sunshine to feel just as desperate and needy for him as he does for you. Almost like it’s subconscious payback for how PAINFUL it was to wait for his sunshine to FINALLY give into him sexually, how frustrated and uncomfortable he was hearing his sunshine shower without him in there, seeing their lips wrap around the fork of the pancakes he worked so hard on for them instead of around his throbbing cock. His sunshine should be moaning in delight from how his cum tastes inside their mouth, not from the blueberries bursting on their tongue. It’s almost like there’s a part of him crying out for a reward like how he’s always cried out for love and affection not only from us internally, but from his time as Joesph too.
Jack is loved by all, so why isn’t his sunshine giving into his loving efforts? Sure, he’s more than willing to make sure they’re healthy and happy expecting nothing in return, but doesn’t his sunshine just how CRAZY it drives him to know your beautiful body is right there for him to touch and hold, but can’t? How much it physically ACHES not only his body, but his heart as well? So all in all, seeing them physically uncomfortable with a desperate need for them is just a taste what he’s gone through, but he’s not cruel so he’ll only give a sliver of his burden. No, he’s a clean man now and giving them more would be something Joesph would do, but not him. But again, he wouldn’t actively think like this the entire time since he doesn’t focus on his needs and ambitions during sex, he only focuses on his sunshine first, he can come afterwards. (That can be a pun I think lol). I’m sorry with how long these are! I usually don’t type this much but I think my brain is thankful I’m finally setting them loose instead of holding back like I usually do. I promise that they’ll be a lot shorter in the future! Anyway, DRINK WATER!"
Tumblr media
Yeah, content creation in general is rough, but as soon as you get into sex territory it becomes even worse. So like my heart goes out to 18+ content creators having to deal with entitled fans. I've had my fair share of them, and they're really tough to handle mentally. It wears you down and makes you feel like your content isn't good enough, like your art isn't worth making. Don't get me wrong, I love doing sex work and I wouldn't give it up for anything, but it's not easy. And people will treat you terribly because they don't see you as a real person.
I'm glad that my blog can be a little safe haven for people to indulge their kinks and not worry about judgement! I just want people to be safe and happy and engage in their sexual desires in a healthy way!
Also yeah, like I know I tend to lean more into the sweet himbo Joseph idea because of how he came across in the interview, but like I'm 100% aware that probably won't be what he's like in canon. And I won't be upset if/when he's not how I imagine him. But people can't seem to do that with Jack, which is ridiculous since we know more about him in canon than Joseph anyway.
But yes!!! Exactly, that's how I imagine his sadism!!! He almost uses it as a test of his Sunshine's devotion. As a way to see how dedicated they are to him, how much pain they're willing to endure for him. Because he's endured so much pain for them and he wants to see it reciprocated! That's also why he's into edging most likely, he's been essentially getting edged for so long that he needs to edge his Sunshine until they're begging for it, until they're half mad with desire. Until they understand what he's been through for them.

Vengeful by VE Schwab Book Review
Tumblr media
I made a post about how I felt about Vengeful a few years ago, on a deleted Tumblr account of mine. Which meant that review is now gone, so I'll have to make a new one. The book isn't fresh in my mind anymore, considering I haven't read it in a couple years. But a lot of the stuff I hated about it is still in my head.
This won't be a positive review. I hated this book. So don't read the following if you feel differently about Vengeful than I do. Spoilers ahead.
VENGEFUL REVIEW
1 The main reason why I hated Vengeful is that VE Schwab turned Victor Vale into a villain. He was killing innocent people in this book, like what Eli was doing in Vicious. How can I root for a murderer of innocents? It didn't help that Victor was selfishly killing them, too. He wasn't killing people for a good cause, like certain anti-villains in other fiction. Victor was murdering his fellow EOs just because he wanted to stop dying(he kept dying but coming back to life). I couldn't root for him anymore. The appeal of Victor in Vicious was that he wasn't a good or bad guy. Completely gray. In that book, he did things selfishly and didn't try saving the people Eli was murdering, and Victor used other EOs for his own goals and didn't help them after he didn't need them anymore. Like the situation with Barry. He used him, but didn't bother to make Sydney resurrect him when he did what he wanted him to do. Yet Victor had Pet the Dog moments, such as when he took in Sydney(he didn't even know she was useful back then) and adopted the dog Dol. This made Victor someone you could root for. Vengeful ruined his character by turning him into a selfish serial killer.
2 Victor insulted Dominic after he got fatally wounded for him. Victor was never unnecessarily cruel. Dom saved his life, and what did Victor do in return? Insult him. And I liked Dom. He was one of the only morally good characters in this book.
3 Marcella. Where do I even begin with her? She was annoyingly awful. I hated her as a character. And the constant mentions of her high heels drove me insane. She was a two-dimensional, arrogant villain with no substance or redeeming qualities. And her chapters were just badly written in general. The sexual activity in her narrations read like a terrible smut fanfic story or something. Cringe is the best word for it. She was interesting at first, but went on to become horribly frustrating. Useless character, ultimately.
4 June. Useless character with an explaining background and an unexplained, weird attraction to Sydney. June is another useless character this book didn't need. There was no reason to care about her. She was too mysterious.
5 Too many characters. Too many time jumps. Vicious was easy to follow and had a small cast. Here, there are so many jarring time jumps and too many POV characters. Reading Vengeful was a clunky mess.
6 Sydney killed Eli, when it should have been Victor who killed him. Thematically, it would've worked better if Victor killed Eli instead. They were each other's monsters, and Eli killed Victor first. It would've been fitting if Victor had ultimately killed Eli. It would have been a satisfying full circle ending to Eli's character arc. Plus, they were each other's biggest enemy. Victor needed to kill Eli, plot-wise and reader satisfaction-wise. Clearly, Schwab wanted to subvert expectations. But sometimes the most predictable ending is also the one that works the best thematically. This is a big reason why Victor needed to kill Eli. Unfortunately, Sydney kills him, who had less of a personal reason to hate him than Victor did. Subverted expectations aren't always a good thing. In this case, it ruined what could have been a better way for Eli to die.
7 Too many convenient things happening. Like that mad scientist guy who conveniently took away Eli's self-healing power around the same time as his fight with Victor. Sigh.
8 I actually liked reading Eli's chapters more than I did anyone else's, which is a bad thing, because it clearly showed I had nobody to root for and had to love the villain's POV to stay interested. I could tolerate Eli here, since he wasn't going on a killing spree of innocent people in this book. I practically forgot how easy it was to hate him.
9 Victor and Eli's conflict wasn't the main focus. This really sucked. The first book was all about Vic and Eli's cat-and-mouse style chase, and it was intriguing. This sequel has too many unnecessary characters I didn't care about. IDGAF about Marcella, June, etc. This book should have been all about Victor and Eli and everyone who was involved in the first book, not June and Marcella. They were extremely weak additions to the cast. They bloated this book. I was so bored whenever the focus was on them, especially after Marcella got her revenge on her husband.
10 Sydney and Mitch were too unimportant in this. Sydney spent the whole book pondering on whether to bring her dead, evil sister back or not. And Mitch was just there. Sydney and Mitch had noticeably more importance in the first book than in this one. I didn't like that. Also, I hated Vic being a serial killer in this book, and Sydney and Mitch supporting him anyway made me hate them, too.
11 The book was a mess, simply put. There were too many unnecessary things and unnecessary characters. I would have preferred for a sequel where Eli was put in a special prison(like he was in this book) and having Victor still on the outside, trying to figure out a way to kill him, becoming a mad scientist type figure or something. I would've rather had that than the Vengeful we got.
12 Vicious benefited from having a small cast. Sure, it was a simple revenge story(kinda), but it worked. Vengeful is too big in scope, unnecessarily so. Too many unneeded characters, conveniences, etc. I'm not sure what Schwab was trying to do here, but I think she doesn't do large-scope stories well. She isn't George RR Martin. She seems to do great with more low-key stuff, with a small cast of characters and a more simple story. I would have loved to see a sequel to Vicious that was more like that, because what I got, Vengeful, didn't satisfy me at all.
13 I can't even say what I did like about the book. Really, I can't remember. All I know is how much I despised it. It was like someone made a bad sequel fanfic to Vicious into an official sequel. That's the best way to describe this book.
14 How it should have been written: Just the opposite of how it was actually written. A smaller scope story that keeps the original cast of characters and no extra main ones. The following is what the cast should have been: Victor, Eli, Sydney, Mitch, Stell, Dominic. No turning Victor evil. That was the main reason why I hated Vengeful. I couldn't root for Vic anymore, or Sydney, or Mitch. The other reasons were pretty major too, though.
15 The book was still somewhat entertaining, which is why I can't rate it one star. But all of the bad writing prevents me from liking it.
Rating: Two out of five stars
