Perspective still matters. Look at the size of that second footprint relative to the first one. It was enormous for a dog, almost the size of my hand. If I didn't know there are no wolves or bears here, I'd have considered those possibilities. My imagination also went to a vivid image of these two dogs' ghosts facing each other. It would have been an interesting encounter with their apparent size difference. In reality, they never met. The smaller footprint looks much fresher. So there must have been hours, if not days, between them. That leads me to contemplate the fascinating concepts of time and space themselves. Imagine a universe where our physical laws didn't apply. Where any object, molecule or living being could be at more than one place at the same time. Not like time travelers, but eternal inhabitants. Humans in this alternate universe would have a completely different language, too. Since everything can be anywhere all the time, the constraints of our "where" and "when" wouldn't even make sense. Maybe they wouldn't need language at all. Because they'd communicate in a more advanced way. Like directly projecting thoughts. But then again, this is just mixing our understanding of how the world works with a concept hard to grasp. This alternate universe probably wouldn't be comparable to ours at all. No gravity or planets, no stars, no elements, no life. Everything is everywhere all the time, like a massive intermingled goo of nothing. Obviously, these are a layman's ideas without much deeper thinking on the matter. Maybe this would make for a good science-fiction book. There probably already are plenty on that very topic. 🌌️✨ I went a bit off the rails here. 🤔😅 Have a great weekend, my friends! 🖖😊

1) What does your muse smell like?: He always smells like a campfire, though if he's going out he'll use a very specific type of cherry blossom scented body spray that isn't too rough on his nose.

2) How often does your muse bathe/shower?:Every day, with specific hair wash days three times a week. This obviously changes when he's on a mission that takes him far from civilization.

3) Does your muse have any tattoos or piercings?: She’s been experimenting with piercings recently: earrings, a nosering, snake bites and tongue as well as a bar in her stomach, nipples and privates.

She doesn’t get tattoos because although she has de-stigmatized it when looking at other people, she still feels like it’d make her look like she’s in the yakuza (not to mention she doesn’t have any real ideas for tattoos).

4) Any body movement quirks? (EX: tapping heel, shaking knee): Wagging tail, tapping feet if standing still, and playing with her dogprint necklace.

5) What do they sleep in?: an old navy yukata - sometimes tied down at the waist

6) What’s their favorite piece of clothing?: Her Fundoshi! its an old fashioned weave of cotten that covers her without feeling like anything: its her go-to underwear.

7) What do they do when they wake up?: If they sleep it’s usually with someone else, and she can’t sleep past dawn - so she does a morning ritual of making breakfast for the both of them, pray to amaterasu, take a bath and clean her clothes (she can flash-dry them).

8) How do they sleep? Position?: Usually cuddling someone - either on her side or on her back with them ontop of her.

9) What do their hands feel like?: Tough hide, except for soft pads for her fingers and palms, almost like paws. Warm and scarred.

Astarion hurled the slimey orb as hard as he could. Both animals took off running after the ball as it sailed harmlessly into the bushes. Breathing hard, rage curdling in his chest, the vampire attempted to assuage his vanity by dusting himself off. He patted his hair, snarled at a snag in his doublet, and glared at the others, who were making valiant efforts to restrain their laughter in the face of his obvious ire. Felicity managed to flail to her feet. Her forest-colored skin was flushed dark with embarassment and mirth in equal parts, covered in dirt, dog drool, and a few stray feathers. She had a large owlbear-cub-sized footprint squarely covering the left side of her chest, and several muddy dogprints across her stomach. "Are you alright?" she asked through uncontrollable giggles, reaching a hand up to fix a white curl on Astarion's forehead that was refusing to get back in place. "Am I alright?" he snapped, slapping her hand away. "Am I alright?! I've just been molested by your stupid animals and YOU were trampled by a two hundred pound owlbear cub!" Felicity pulled a face. "He's just a baby." "I don't care if he's a baby--" the vampire sputtered, then threw his hands in the air and turned away to storm ineffectually into his tent. "I give up. You're absurd. Ridiculous. I won't have anything more to do with this. Get out of my tent." "I'm not in--" "OUT." "But--" "NO." "You have feathers stuck to your butt," Felicity informed him in the tiniest, most apologetic squeak. Astarion stopped, stomping a foot in the dirt. A sound somewhere between a sigh and a hiss escaped him. In the dead silence behind them, he heard Shadowheart make the ugliest snort he'd heard from man or beast. Lips pursed into a thin white line, he spun to glare at the cleric, whose hands were clapped over her mouth so tightly her knuckles were white. Nearby Karlach was keeled over, hitting the packed earth with a fist, laughing so hard she couldn't even make a sound anymore. Each of his other companions stared with mingling expressions of amusement and anticipatory dread. They all looked entirely ridiculous. Astarion snorted. He slapped a hand over his mouth in horror, but couldn't stop the laughter that tumbled out against every better instinct. "Oh, gods, he's finally snapped..." Wyll worried. "Good," snapped Lae'zel. "We'll have some real entertainment now, rather than an animal circus." "You all look--so--stupid," Astarion gasped between bouts of helpless laughter. "We're not the ones with feathers on our ass," Gale reminded him. Karlach shrieked and the others dissolved into laughter. Even Lae'zel began to snicker. Felicity trembled with giggles as she brushed the offending feathers away. ANOTHER CHARACTER LIMIT.

Astarion seethed. He couldn't get that disgusting drow woman with the smelly blood out of his head. The way she felt so entitled to him brought back memories he'd rather not dwell on, yet it was all he could think about. He squeezed his hands into fists until the knuckles popped and ground his molars together. The one saving grace, the only reason he hadn't ripped that bitch's spine out and fashioned it into a cunning necklace, was Felicity. She hadn't so much as hesitated to inform the drow precisely where she could take her weird vampire fetish and shove it, nor had she hesitated to tell her to fuck right off when she'd had the audacity to push. To insist that Felicity ORDER him to bite her. As though Astarion would have. As though he took orders from ANYONE anymore. Breathing in deep through his nose, his eyes searched the camp for her, peeking over the spine of his book. She was currently on her ass in the dirt, trying in vain to divest the dog of his ball. Scratch wasn't putting up much of a fight, but Felicity's heels dug into the ground and her neck strained as she leaned all of her inconsiderable weight backward. Scratch wagged his tail. Their fearless, heroic leader; bested by a mutt with a ball. Their companions all stood or sat in front of their tents, most of them sipping wine or tea, watching the pathetic display and showing not the slightest intent to alleviate Felicity's humiliation at the hands of the dog. The owlbear cub sat back with it's feet out to the sides, looking between the two of them with bright, curious eyes and its tongue poking stupidly out of its beak. He knew if she'd ordered him to, he would have. It was too ingrained in him, and frankly, no matter how he detested to admit it, he would do anything Felicity asked of him. He knew just as strongly that she would never ask such a thing of him, much less have the audacity to order him. She could be as fiery as her vibrant red braids stereotypically suggested, but she was kind. Disgustingly so. It had made bile rise in his throat at first, but he was coming to appreciate the benefit of her particular, rather violent kind of do-gooding. His thoughts were interrupted by the sudden camp-wide explosion of chaos.

"Drop the BALL, Scratch!" Felicity had gritted out. He dropped it. Felicity tipped violently backwards, the ball flying out of her hands and directly toward the vampire's tent. Scratch pounded right over her, followed closely by the owlbear, the elven woman trampled beneath them groaning something that sounded like "ow fuck my tit." Every humanoid eye in the circle of tents followed the high arc of the ball as it blasted into Astarion's little collection of potted plants, bounced high, and landed smack in between the pages of his book with a wet SPLORT. Scratch pawed excitedly at Astarion, tail a blur, barking as the owlbear danced an eager jig around them. "NO, DOG," Astarion bellowed, peeling the ball off the page and fighting to keep his balance. "DOWN, GET--DOWN!" "His name is Scratch," Felicity wheezed helpfully, holding her stomach and rolling like an upturned turtle while the others continued not to help her. "I am NOT calling him that ridiculous--I SAID DOWN, YOU HAIRY BEAST!" Wyll and Shadowheart were trying very hard not to laugh, and failing miserably. Gale and Karlach were openly guffawing, mirthful tears steaming on Karlach's cheeks. Haslin merely shook his head and hid a smile. Lae'zel watched the insanity unblinking, her face carefully arranged in a rigid glare, but her lips were twitching. "Felicity," Astarion gritted out, using his foot to try and push the dog away. "Get your pet before I EXSANGUINATE him." "Throw the ball," she gasped. She'd managed to get her feet under her, but her arms were still wrapped around her bruised stomach, forehead pressed into the ground, long braids trailing limp in the dirt.
