Pet hostels in high demand as holiday-season kicks in
A couple of years ago, when Dhananjay Sheth, a 29-year-old dentist from Pune wanted to head home for Diwali, he planned to leave his pet at a pet hostel. However, owing to the holiday season, almost all pet hostels were fully booked. “From then on, if I have to leave my dog at a pet […]

Today on the back side of the hostel it was fun feeding Dogs from my window I could not view it but when I took a pic and was shocked to see....in a reputed institution, when you are paying for all the facilities, you don't even care to throw it into the dustbin? It shows the level of laziness and uneducated we are becoming as a generation...if one of us does something Wrong each and every individual has to pay the prise... don't you get it. . . . . #environment #animals #protectivestyles #health #conservation #earth #dog #dogs #doglover #dogsofinstagram #day #bad #lazy #education #fun #funny #hostel #india #incredibleindia #pune #instagood #instagram #instalike #groom #growth #grow #growup #humanity #animal #animallovers https://www.instagram.com/p/CT6rxDvtHs4/?utm_medium=tumblr

It's been 10 days since my 10 day retreat. (Edit: actually, 20 now but I didn't get to paint this draft until now!) I haven't yet been able to draft up my thoughts for this blog, but I will. And life, in the meanwhile, carries on.
Tumblr media
I spent my first days out with with Mohit, a local Puneite who, almost as soon as the Noble Silence ended, invited me to stay with him and his family in a suburb of the city. He wanted to tour me around the important sites, but admitted that he hasn't yet been himself. We would have to hire a tour guide. Not a problem, I said lead the way!
We started by going his place, for a home cooked meal, to have a tour and look at his family mementos and childhood drawings. I got very excited about the cutlery holder which I imagine is fairly standard in Indian homes, but which represented to me the richness of the treat I was getting to experience. They don't have these in restaurants or hostels, where I chat mainly with foreigners, or on occasion traveling Indians. Home life - the settled-in and staying-put life in another country - It's not normally accessible! I was stoked to look around the kitchen and fridge.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mohit brought me to the local shrines and temples, snapping selfies and sharing his life stories. We drank sweet lime juice from the street vendor he visited in his school years, a vigorous man caught in time, plying the same crowd on the same spot; his mechanical press, cracked cart, and faded umbrella other relics from those days long past.
Tumblr media
We visited his old school, well-regarded for fostering leadership qualities in its well-rounded, only male students. It reminded me of my own high school, though dustier, on larger grounds, and with 50 students crowded into each classroom. Unfortunately, we arrived too far ahead of the final bell, and left before I could investigate an empty classroom and interview an Indian teacher.
Still driving around in search of 'unmissable' experiences, we went to the German Cafe near the Osho compound, which was the site of a terrorist attack a few years back. In fact, we later discovered, this day was precisely the 10-year anniversary of the event. A small vigil was up on the sidewalk, but it was business-as-usual inside.
I'd been craving a massage after the long painful sits in Vipassana (yes, craving - I know enough to name it, but I indulged myself anyways). They were offering them next door at quite a low rate, and the quality was consistent. But good enough! We returned home for a simple meal, mediated, then went to watch a movie at the cinema, deciding that Ford vs Ferrari was the most appropriate option available.
Tumblr media
I should fast-forward a little. The next day, after extended farewells, I ran some errands in Pune (experiencing and overcoming the standard litany of logistical challenges), walked past the Osho compound itself with its red-robed foreign acolytes and forbidding perimeter walls, and took my overnight bus straight to Palolem beach, heading directly to Kashish Yoga on arrival to reunite with my wife after two weeks apart!
Tumblr media
Lindsay and I spent a weekend together at Patnem beach, walking-distance south of its more popular neighbor. Great eating, swimming, shopping and catching up. I joined her for two days at her Yoga teacher training all-inclusive (reading her copy of Little Fires poolside while she was busy in classes), then one night beachfront (where we returned a few days later - the second weekend), then left for two nights at the Tribe eco-resort a few km north of town.
Tumblr media
Here we'll slow down again, because Tribe really captured my interest during my too-short stay. It's a fledgling project, just beginning to become a sustainable business. But they've been in the business of sustainability for a few years now, organizing beach cleans and dog spaying/neutering, creating a wildlife sanctuary and reintroducing biodiversity into an ex-cashew plantation. The main dorm is an open-air raised wooden platform beneath a thatched roof, with impressively effective bug nets cocooning the single mattresses. Private living spaces are simply shacks of varying sizes spread throughout the property, with reclaimed fabric curtains and short ladders.
There's a feeling of immersion, being well removed from the beaten path by distance and dirt roads, as well as a different mentality - not to *take* enjoyment from the natural wonders of the Goan landscape, but to *give* it the richness back after decades of exploitation.
There's also community, with volunteers coming to stay for months at a time to build, restore, and support. One couple from Quebec offered yoga and a Cacao ceremony during my short stay. Everyone shares what they have. It felt good to offer my Ambigrams and I Ching readings to the folks, and then, the morning I left, a formal Acro lesson - my first ever!
This Acro class deserves an explanation. Lindsay had volunteered me to teach her classmates some moves, and it was important to me to do it right. These are full-fledged 500-hour teachers, almost, after all! I planned a flow that would be accessible to beginners, but included some challenges for any who could master the basics. I strategized how to introduce concepts in a sequence that was logical and safe... And then I fretted some more! Wouldn't it make sense to practice teaching the class? I went round after breakfast on Saturday morning to advertise my offering... The time came, and so did the people! They listened, they tried the things. They gave each other insightful feedback and good spotting. Nobody got hurt and folks seemed to be having fun. I'd say it went pretty well!
Later that afternoon, the embodiment professionals were a touch more prudent, conscious of their comfort boundaries, learning lots and having fun, but feeling more secure with me basing or spotting and guiding through the trickier moves. Also a good class, just a bit more 'me' centered. This does wonders for my ego.
Tumblr media
One more low-key weekend at the beach, with plenty of sun and sand and sea, tasty treats and resort-like treatment at our small hostel, then a strange jilted week ahead. I thought I might catch Carnivale in one of the four major cities it's in by overnighting in Margao on Monday. Unfortunately, it quickly became clear that the parade had passed through prior to my arrival, and had already moved north. So instead today I am on the train to Hampi, the not-so ancient capital of the Vijayanagar Empire, now an extensive city of ruins. They say one can spend months there fully taking in the majesty. I'll be racing through in a day and a half. Luckily the travel, though long, is relaxed. Soon we'll say long to the South of India and the heavy heat. We've begun to book our stays in the mountains... So stay tuned for the next adventures!
Graham
P.S. The man below me on the train to Hampi brought an electric kettle for the journey!

#9 (25.10.2017)
Maresa

My Innings as Commander 27 Mtn Arty Brigade (Part 1)
I departed from Wellington after the customary farewell in the first week of Aug 2000. My thoughts during the journey upto Pune, fluctuated between fond memories of my professionally enriching tenure of two years at the Staff College & the expectations of my next challenging tenure as the Brigade Commander. I availed my “Joining Time” at Pune and discussed our future options with the family members for their move as a family to, only after our Brigade would move back to it's permanent location at Bagrakote. After a well deserved break of 10 days, I left Pune for Jammu via Delhi. I planned my arrival at Jammu to coincide with the Independence Day.
Thereafter, I was escorted in a special convoy upto 27 Mountain Artillery Brigade, located on the outskirts of Pathankot. The welcome ceremony in the Brigade HQ was indeed special, since I was returning to the Gunners family after a gap of six years. I was introduced to the Staff Officers of the Brigade HQ & all my Commanding Officers. Next three days were busy in the handing/taking over procedures. Finally, on 19 Aug 2000, my predecessor accompanied me to the Division HQ for my formal welcome by the GOC 27 Mountain Division. I was promoted by the GOC who complimented my selection to the coveted rank of Brigadier, attained by just 10% of the officers in any Batch!! He wished me the best of luck in shouldering my higher responsibilities and expressed confidence that the Artillery Brigade would continue to excel in the "Striking Lion Division".
My first priority was to visit my Brigade HQ & all my Regiments and the supporting sub-units. The program for these visits had been prepared already which was just awaiting my approval. I considered it an opportunity to be briefed by each CO about our operational role and get a first look about the living conditions of all the Units  since the entire Brigade was in a tented camp layout. The Units were in the final phase of training prior to the Practice Camps scheduled to be conducted in Kalith Field Firing Ranges in Sep. I dedicated three days for completion of these visits as per the program and felt so happy interacting with each CO and his team of officers & JCOs. The standard of routine administration in each Unit  was very commendable, despite the constraints.  I reminded myself to resist any  temptation of ordering any drastic changes or initiate any new procedures within the first two months. I had decided to view every situation from a higher pedestal & take judicious decisions after consultation with my Staff Officers & the COs.
Next month, the whole Brigade, deployed in Kalith Ranges, located 45 kms from Jammu, for Field-firings & Practice Camps. The standard of deployment and firing of Guns was outstanding. At the end of all the Practice Camps, we conducted the Technical Day during which all the COs of all Units in the Division witnessed the display of Firepower of 90 guns of my Brigade. It gave all of us a tremendous feeling of confidence and assurance of our Combat potential. I conveyed my congratulations to all my Regiments, on the radio set, in the traditional Gunner style --- “Good Shooting from Bull!!” On conclusion of this major training event, we returned to Pathankot. Thereafter, each Regiment participated in the Collective Training Exercise with the affiliated Infantry Brigade.
In mid-Oct, Sanjivani along with Ashvini and Aditya came to Pathankot during Diwali vacation. It was destined that we would celebrate Diwali Festival with the Gunner Family within the Camp environment. Next day, we proceeded to Amritsar which was just 100 kms away. Our first visit  was obviously the Golden Temple. It was an overwhelming experience as we sought the blessing of Satnam Waheguru followed by the customary Langar. In the evening, we visited Jallianwala Bagh & witnessed an impressive Sound and Light show.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next day, was spent in local sightseeing & savoring Punjabi cuisine. In the evening, we attended the magnificent ‘Beating the Retreat’ ceremony at the Wagah-Attari Border. The pomp and pageantry of the ceremony showcasing the change of guard was truly an amazing spectacle. The most captivating moment was the simultaneous lowering of the National Flags at sunset,  closing the gates on both sides of the border followed by the illumination display amidst thunderous chorus of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. Next morning, we returned to Pathankot with a bundle of memories of our inspiring trip to Amritsar.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Soon, after celebrating Ashvini’s birthday, Sanjivani & the children returned to Pune for resumption of their academic sessions.  In mid-Nov, we were delighted to receive the much awaited orders from Army HQ pertaining to our move back to the permanent locations. I conveyed this good news to Sanjivani & the children who were really excited to prepare for their move as well. The move of 27 Mountain Division was to be carried out by military special trains for which we had to project the specific requirement of rolling stock.
In case of the Artillery Brigade, we prepared an elaborate plan for the move of all the Regiments to respective locations. It was a complex exercise to plan the move of one Regiment each to Barrackpore & Kanchrapara (near Kolkata), one Regiment each to Sevoke Road & Oodlabari (near Siliguri), a Regiment to Panagarh (about 150 km from Kolkata) & the Brigade HQ and the Signal Company & Field Workshop to Bagrakote. Separate plans were prepared by the Division HQ, all the Infantry Brigades & the supporting Units for moving back to their respective locations. The final move orders  were received from Army HQ. The execution of move was carried out systematically and completed by end of the year. It was indeed a massive logistic experience involving move by military special trains, from different entraining stations near Pathankot to multiple detraining stations in West Bengal.
Just before leaving Pathankot, I got a chance to visit my parent Regiment (98 Field Regiment) which was located at Dehradun. The warmth and hospitality extended to me by the Jat Balwan family was indeed commendable. I felt so nostalgic as I renewed my association after a gap of six years. It was indeed a journey down memory lane!!
Thereafter, I travelled by air from Jammu to Delhi & onwards from Delhi to Bagdogra. Subsequent  travel upto Bagrakote was refreshing, specially after crossing the Tiger Bridge,  which connects West Bengal with the North Eastern states. Bagrakote was a small Army campus at the foothills of undulating ridgelines. I was particularly impressed when I entered my fully furnished residence, traditionally designated as the “Gun House”.  My first reaction was to take several photos of my beautiful residence and send them to Pune by speed post (since WhatsApp technology did not exist at the time). It facilitated a virtual tour of our new Home, which further triggered the desire of my family members to come to Bagrakote as soon as possible.
Tumblr media
After the initial settling down process, I went to the Division HQ at Kalimpong for an operational briefing, since I had never served in this Sector. Thereafter, I proceeded for my familiarisation recce in Nathu La Sector of  East Sikkim. The recce was completed in one week, in high altitude terrain during the snowfall season. Subsequently, I visited all my Regiments sequentially, as per the dispersed locations. It enabled me to  gain first hand knowledge about various problems being faced by each Unit. I focused my attention on the improvement of administration  and welfare of all troops & families. Thus, I could allot funds for urgent repairs and new projects for improvement of habitat in each location.
Tumblr media
In the last week of Mar, I went on casual leave to Pune and returned along with Sanjivani and Aditya. Our luggage took a long time to reach because of the move across the country. Ashvini and Nandini shifted to a Girl’s Hostel and were planning to join us later. On return to Bagrakote, I got involved in preparing for the forthcoming War Game and Operational discussion which was to be conducted at Kalimpong. It was a major event in which all Brigade Commanders and Commanding Officers had to participate. Hence, I proceeded to Kalimpong for another week, leaving Sanjivani with the responsibility of settling down in our new abode.
                                 Our Beautiful ‘Gun House’
We could not move to Pathankot along with Vivek in August, since the Artillery Brigade was doing the Annual Practice Camps & collective training. Entire 27 Mountain Division was awaiting orders for move back to the permanent location. Moreover, Ashvini and Nandini were already pursuing their college education and Aditya was in the Army Public School, Pune. We felt happy when the Brigade returned to Bagrakote in end of Dec. Consequent to this news, we decided to shift Ashvini & Nandini into Paying Guest accommodation, at a central location in Deccan Gymkhana. Thereafter, in the last week of March, only Vivek &  myself, Aditya and my mother-in-law (Badi Mummy) moved to Bagrakote.  Our long journey was very entertaining, particularly because our pet dog (Maxi) also travelled with us. Incidentally, the journey involved all modes of transport: by air from Mumbai to Kolkata, by overnight train upto New Jalpaiguri (NJP) and by road till our destination. The road journey was specially enchanting after we crossed the Tiger Bridge (also called Coronation Bridge) on the Teesta River. The view of the valley, forests and the tea gardens astride the road was so fascinating. Finally, after two hours, we reached the “Gun House” & were welcomed formally in the Brigade Officers Mess. It was a unique feeling to be called the “First Lady” once again!!
Tumblr media
Our Bungalow was unique in design & internal layout. It was constructed on stilts, had wooden flooring, wooden walls, wooden roof with a false wooden ceiling and wooden furniture! At the entrance, there was a huge lawn having a waterfall, a small pond & a Gazebo. In the backyard, there were several Litchi trees and a Bamboo grove. The Officers Mess & the Guest rooms were just adjacent to our residence. We were thrilled to observe the scenic view of the ridges & spurs, the riverfront and the tea gardens in close proximity. It was a privilege to have a guard of 12 soldiers at the “Gun House”, who were on duty 24x7. In addition, there was a cook & the Buddy from 98 Field Regiment (Hav Khajan Singh), who provided necessary assistance. I realised that I will have to get used to these facilities gradually, while settling down to our new lifestyle in the lap of nature.
On completion of the War Game, I returned from Kalimpong. I was impressed to see the transformation of the “Gun House” after completion of the settling down process. It appeared that the stage was set for Ashvini and Nandini’s arrival during their Summer Vacation. Meanwhile, I planned the itinerary for our family visits to Nathu La, Darjeeling and Kalimpong. Simultaneously, I prepared the schedule of my Adm Inspections of all the Units during May/June. Sanjivani visited the family quarters of the Brigade Camp and interacted with all the families when I was at Kalimpong. In addition, she visited Army School, Bagrakote and laid out a plan for further improvement of the School. We now awaited the arrival of Ashvini & Nandini and were at a stage of ‘Get, Set, Go’ for our tour to pristine Sikkim.
                                                                                    To be continued...

Planning for Himalayas? or Have an idea? Here are some tips and our story.
Ever I wonder myself sometimes how I reached 12,500ft, Kedarkantha Himalayan peak in Uttarakhand, experiencing snowfall in my life for the first time, without any extra efforts needed to trek the big risky mountain with my friends. Travelling from south India without knowing Hindi, we went all along, reached, trekked, survived and successfully came back and used to tell these stories to everyone whoever ask about this wonderful trip.
Bit long journey
After 2015 Chennai flood, it was like a Winter break for us to recover from the monstrous flood. We (Aravind, Manoj, and Myself) went by train considering our budget and all these travel ticket bookings and membership and slot booking in YHAI (Youth Hostel Association of India) where everything was preplanned and perfect for our excursion. It almost took 48 hours for TamilNadu express to reach the National capital, meanwhile met two army persons in the train where one is the savior and another one is the driver, amused us by sharing their experiences who are returning back to works after their leave and we reached Delhi early morning. Freezing with 6-degree Celsius, took Delhi Metro, the cheapest travel to roam around and reach places quickly, reached Sector 10 Rohini. We had a quick breakfast in McDonald's and went inside Decathlon (largest sporting goods retailer) nearby to complete our checklist, Christmas celebrations were going on in the meantime.
Again taking Metro, we reached Delhi railway station and headed to Dehradun. We reached the same day night. It’s freezing more here even though we had the same temperature but it was a night. We met two more friends (Karthik & Akhlad), who already reached Dehradun directly from Pune and had our rooms ready earlier. Couldn’t recall the place we stayed but it was nearby the main bus stand. After our heavy dinner (Rotti with Grill chicken) beside the hotel, went for a night walk and had a cup of tea around 1am, made us comfortable with campfire built adjacent to that shop. While returning back to home, we were stopped by the local police and they used us to entertain them during their work hours, it was entertaining for us too.
To base camp
Next day morning, we came to contact with another set who were heading to the same place, Sankri (our base camp). Unfortunately, we couldn’t cope up with their timings and they left us. After some selfies we checked out, reaching local bus stand to enquire how to reach Sankri. It was a bit costly to take a Jeep so we went through Govt. bus.
(From left: Myself, Aravind, Karthik, Manoj & Akhlad)
With long 8hrs of travel including our lunch, singing loudly Tamil, Hindi & English songs sitting at last seat in Bus, clicking some pics wherever bus stops for a break and two more people joined us in the midway who were our batch for the same trek. It was quite a long bus journey and reached a place where the jeep is the only option to reach base camp.
Jeep ride is like the most adventurous I think every time because, those track inside the forest, the single 10feet way for both sides of vehicles to commute and those bends which put me to hold my breath till we reach. My crazy friends took a step further and toured at the top of the jeep and we reached base camp around 6pm, which was dark by that time, crossed 8000 feet already. Here is the place is shown below.
We failed to bring admit cards, alleging flood as the reason, we showed soft copies and completed our initial process and asked to finished our dinner with rotti’s and sabji before 7pm. Lost all our mobile networks at this point completely.
Why this Kolaveri?
It’s time to collect our things, get into tents and make ourself comfortable. We were called to the place after some time where every one of our batches gathered, for an introductory session. They asked people to perform something they would be good at, not to awe, some people started showing their talents and our chance came in between. We prepared for a little drama within minutes with help of other two guys and the context is, How well we managed to learn some basic Hindi words and we defined in fun manner, people liked it. Ending the drama with a song, Why this Kolaveri di? and our batchmates sang along with us well. Who doesn’t know that popular song by the way?
Warm Up
Next day, after a warmup call, we went to a place following our guide. Honestly, that moment made me down, lose consciousness for a short time and couldn’t even complete my warm-ups. I’m afraid of my health at that time, gave me a thought,
How am gonna make it to12500ft? This question will be answered below.
Back to normal after some rest, we had our breakfast after returning back to base camp. It's time for shopping now and we got some gloves and scarf,  the day went with some plays with my batch mates. We all asked to get a full big body cover of Rs.20, which blows your mind when you come to know it’s purpose.
Day 1 Trekking
Leaving all the unnecessary things in the base camp, we started to trek only with the things needed to make ourself comfortable. We headed into the forest and took some good photographs. We had a lunch which was provided at the base camp in the middle and finally, everyone from our group managed to reach the camp called, Juda Talav. The thing that we find interesting during this trek where two big personable dogs, one at the front and other at the back, taking us safely to each camp. When we asked for the reason, they are used to protect you from Wolves, the coach replied. And further said, you can see sometimes these dogs run and bark at random places where they spot endangered animals. To remember our protectors, we took selfies with them and they looked gorgeous.
The following pic shows how the camp looks.

Adding to our fun part, we team of 5-6 members challenged ourselves for a bare body challenge. And we made it happened before reaching the Juda Talav camp. I could still get that moment, shouting all around and dressing back expeditiously.
Snow Fall
The best thing we are gifted in Juda Talav camp is the snow fall. Not everyone could see the snowfall over there, which occurs periodically. Some of the moments are captured perfectly in slow motion videos in my iPhone 6 and one video is added below.

After a hot soup and a dinner around 6pm, the day ended with a single candle light inside our tent, playing bluffs in cards and parodying our friends. Another best thing were no mobile networks and current will disturb you, such a peaceful surrounding one should definitely experience in their life.
Day 2 Trekking
We headed to another camp, after our normal breakfast of Chapathi and Sabji but this time, its bit more adventurous than previous one. Places were filled with ice, snow and were very slippery. Joining hands and helping each other, we could easily manage to trek this camp.
Frozen lake
We could spot a frozen lake in our way which gives us time to spend and again this is the first time for us, playing in the lake for a very long time.
Cell phone signal
After few yards, at some point, our guide instructed us to use your phone to update the status of us to our family members. We were amazed, how we could make calls and there were even no signals earlier. Later he said, only BSNL network works here. Only two of our batch mates have BSNL networked phone, and all the 40 above members made use of it.
We reached the camp Luhasu after some time. This place is astonishing and the below pic speaks the remaining.

Who don’t work on making a snow man, when you are fully surrounded with full of snow. Aren’t we exception to it? We built a snowman and took some pics with him.
Our camp leader here is Chandra Sharma who is graduated, is working here at free of cost only because of his passion. He inspired us with his challenging stories and made us proud of him. Such a passionate person, made us think deeply and delivered us, the true definition of it. He also showed us the point we going to reach tomorrow, inflated our excitement to the core.
After sharing few of our experiences with our friends, we went for a sleep and we were asked to get ready around 4am, to trek final phase, Kedarkantha Peak.
Day 3 Trekking - Kedarkantha Peak
We woke up around 3am and getting things done in hurry. It was like, are we going to make this? We started at 4am with this thought with a small torch in hand. We were moving slowly since the place looks very dark and we don’t want any abnormal things to happen.
Tumblr media
That was the peak we are heading, said our coach. To our excitement, we conversed ourselves that it's near and we can reach soon, but soon we thought it’s not easier in that - 15-degree Celsius.

The peak is getting closer but still, we didn’t reach. It was hard to take selfies either. Neither couldn’t touch camera icon or press volume buttons to take photos with our gloves. Instead, we removed but couldn’t hold longer. Hands are freezing. The peak and the beautiful view is the only thing, made us move. Now, the path is a bit dangerous than previous one. If one is slipped, it affects everyone and we don’t know where it takes.
One more interesting thing to note here is, We had a couple in our batch and they both were loveable. They both were caring & helping each other, such an adorable peoples to meet. Only group of guys can enjoy a trip? No. Make yourself surrounded by positive peoples and one, you can sync with you. That would definitely be a memorable trip.
Finally, around 12 pm, after tough 8 hours of journey, we reached the peak. Wow, such an amazing view it was. There was a temple in the top. Clicked hundreds of pics in excitement. One of the pics goes below.

It was breathtaking.
Mountains were beautiful. The peak was beautiful. No words to explain the dazzling mountains. Beautiful, that's it. Once again we took the bare body challenge.

After some hours of refreshments, we started to trek down. Again, the special and adventurous moment for us. You remember about the body cover which I explained earlier, time to use it now.
Snow Skirting
Couldn’t get a better word to describe it. We covered ourself with the cover and our guide asked us to roll over in the snow. We started skirting and it was fun. We had challenges with our friends like, who goes first, who can do better by dashing through the snow. We didn’t stop even after the cover was torn.
Finally, we reached one of our camp, which was not the one we stayed back earlier. It was slippery, yet we managed to reach with our friend's support.
Day 4  Trekking - Returning to Base Camp
Next day, after a long walk again, we reached our base camp. We were in a hurry mood to wind up so that we could spend some time in Delhi or Rishikesh. Certificate of completion will be issued only on day 5 (last day) but we explained our situation and get our certificates done by that time and winded up.
Q: How am gonna make it to12500ft?
A: Yes, this is how I made it.
Some days in National Capital
We reached Dehradun after a long travel from base camp, almost 12 hours. We got a bus immediately after our dinner and headed to Delhi. We got a cheap room and dropped our luggage. The first place we visited was,
Jama Masjid, Delhi.
Tumblr media
The religious place to visit. After some religious sentiments, we had briyani and went shopping. We visited India Gate, walked along those roads and concluded our day.
Next day, TN Express again put us (Aravind & Myself) in homes after long 2 days journey where other 3 of our friends took flight and returned to their natives.
