harry is 100% a skater boy with a group of punk muggle friends. he’s acab and anarchy all the way

his friends include a pan genderfluid, an asexual transboy, and a latina nb.

harry is rebellious because the dursley’s were so strict- he 100% dyes his hair abright color with walmart hair dye

draco has internalized homophobia but ends up with harry after his arc

hermione is a black trans lesbian and has the ultimate bromance with ron

hermione is single by the end of the book but it is implied that she and the lesbian in harry’s band get together

luna is an nb lesbian, 100% the type to wear the magical equivalent of lesbian earrings

ron starts off ignorant and lowkey homophobic but learns to be accepting and strives to educate others about accepting stuff (and also that he’s asexual ahem)

harry and ron go to the yule ball as bros

ginny is bi and starts off crushing on harry but ends up with luna

ginnys hair gets progressively shorter as the series goes on

the dursley’s are homophobic but dudly learns to be accepting despite that

werewolf’s are not actually bad and do not join wizard h*tler. fenrir greyback accidentally infected lupin and feels bad for it

dumbledor’s morally grey nature is acknowledged and explored

house elves are paid, because fuck slavery. they are underpaid though, and hermione advocates a livable wage. she is not treated like a maniac for this.

goblins aren’t portrayed as greedy assholes, because why the fuck not.

hagrid isn’t stupid, because he deserves better

voldemort is hot, because a) we shouldn’t villanise ugliness and b) charisma gets more people to join

sirius is a chaotic good, a better person than in the original books, and doesn’t die (wolf star reunion!)

less of harry jumping into conclusions and more of him just going with things because everything just gets weirder and weirder and there’s nothing he can do about it

ron is a hella good strategist and negotiator

dumbledores will is fixed. i don’t know how but it is.

dumbeldore isn’t gay, his sexuality is not discussed because he is an old man, that is in the past, and his morality is much more interesting.
