New Nail Day with MSBY
MSBY! Black Jackals (including Barnes and Joffe) x GN! Manager
Warnings: fluff
AN: just expressing my love of new nail day 🤩
Everyone needs selfcare Yn
Especially you 🥰
Because let’s face it, you have one of the toughest jobs on the entire planet
While you love your job and adore the guys, man do you need a break 😅
And one of the activities you do often is pampering yourself with new nails 💅
Whether you DIY them or go to a tech, your nails always look perfect!
Sometimes you go for simple, like an ombré or a French tip
And sometimes, when the guys are EXTRA annoying, you splurge and do a design or some bling 💎
No matter what you get, the nails do their job
And let’s just say, you look FABULOUS 🤩
And there’s one thing you can always count on
The guys noticing your new manicure!
It’s almost kind of weird how much these guys notice
Like your pretty sure they look at your hands everyday just waiting for a new set
The moment you walk into the gym and the glimmer of a new set sparkles, it’s game time
“YN LET ME SEE THEMMMM!” Bokuto shouts, running full force towards you as you brace for impact
“NEW NAIL DAY NEW NAIL DAY!” Hinata shouts, bouncing towards you
“Don’t break them right away!” Atsumu shouts, following behind the first two dummies
“You shouldn’t go near them either Miya, they are expensive!” Sakusa scolds him
Meian, Inunaki, Barnes, Thomas and Joffe all just stand aside, waiting for the hype to die down
Bokuto and Hinata each grab a hand and began to dissect everything
The shape, the design, the bling 😩
“Oh wow YN, look at all the sparkles!!” Bokuto chimes, so excited
“I don’t understand how the shape is so perfect on every one of them! There is like no imperfections!” Hinata comments, observing your perfectly manicured cuticles
Sakusa whistles, looking over Hinata, “man YN, did you have to take a loan out to get those done?”
Meanwhile you just stand there, waiting for their gasping and oohing to finally calm down
“Alright idiots, back off of Yn!” Meian finally says, interrupting their party
“But captain, YN’s nails are always so pretty!” Hinata gushes
“They are very pretty-” Meian adds
“And YN is super pretty too!” Inunaki interjects
You 👉🏻🥹
“Yes Yn is very pretty-” Meian continues
“Wow YN how do you even get to see those gems to stay on?” Barnes asks
“It’s a cured gel that makes them super strong!” You say, banging your nails against the wall to demonstrate their durability
The team 👉🏻😱😱😱
“I can’t believe how well you work with nails like that YN, truly remarkable!” Thomas compliments
“Well YN is the best manager in the entire V.League,” Joffe boosts
“Ok YN’s nails are great but we need to get practicing,” Meian sighs as the guys continue to ignore him
“You can’t expect us to practice with such perfection in our presence!” Atsumu exclaims, grabbing your hand and pushing it into Meian’s face
Meian 👉🏻😐🙄
You can tell Meian is about to lose it, so you decide the guys have done enough simping for today
“Ok guys, let’s get to practicing!” You say, walking towards your office
“But Yn what if you break a nail!” Bokuto scream 🙀
“That would be a tragedy!” Hinata yells back
“Well it’s a good thing YN doesn’t actually play Volleyball then,” Sakusa adds
“Yeah but what if one of Atsumu’s rogue serves gifs YN in the hand!” Inunaki interjects
“Hey-” Atsumu asks confused 😐
“Or what if one of Atsumu’s really bad sets hits Yn and they have to block their face?” Joffe questions
“HEY MY SETS ARE PERFECT!” Atsumu shouts back
“Atsumu shut up and get on the court!” Meian yells
Atsumu 👉🏻👁️👄👁️
“Oh and by the way Yn, your nails look amazing,” Meian winks before walking onto the court
Seriously Yn, you are so freaking lucky 😭

do u have any emily or/and jecka hcs? <3
hai mootie! i have a few for jecka and a TON for emily, so brace yourself :0
-this is kinda canon anyway, but despite how much jecka wants to appear stable, she’s incredibly argumentative. she raises her voice at people the moment she gets slightly upset and has serious trouble with keeping her calm.
-i hc emily as trans and she started HRT really young and REALLY shadily. type of person who DIYed estrogen but the thing is it somehow worked. the only reason why this happened though is because she got into drugs in general really young
-adding onto that, i feel like the reason she has an obsession with selling fake drugs to middle schoolers (it happened like four times throughout the series, the fuck) is because it happened to her a lot. to a point where she’d go over to people from her school trying to buy shit and tell them “this is fake, kick that guy’s ass.”
-i’m both really into jeckole and emicole, so yay! i feel like regardless of wether nicole starts dating one or the other, they would BOTH get incredibly jealous, showing it in different ways.
-Emily in specific i think would be incredibly on jecka’s ass for a few weeks after she and nicole would start dating, like sending her death threats, actually trying to follow through on death threats, not supplying jecka with drugs anymore (by far the worst part). then two weeks would pass and she’d get over it. and completely forget she was ever into nicole. she goes up to jecka and says “hey wanna buy addies” and the poor girl would jump back expecting emily to be holding a knife.
-i’m the case of nicole dating emily, i don’t think jecka would confront emily or even look her in the face ever. she would keep being friends with nicole, but only for a short while cause it starts to hurt too much. she’d rather die than ever confess that she’s jealous. or that she had feelings for nicole. and unlike emily it doesn’t go away. it just doesn’t.
- …on a happier note! i said this on another posts but jecka has a very soft spot for pets, however she never gets to have them whole living with her dad cause… you know. emily however, who lives and breathes to spite her parents, is someone who i’d imagine to have tons of weird pets (who she somehow takes proper care of). i’m talking weird ass birds, ferrets, a whole ass raccoon. and one time for some reason jecka and nicole go over to emily’s house when her parents aren’t there and jecka falls in love with all the pets. and that’s one of the things they can finally bond over!
-jecka also jokes by saying that nicole is basically her pet, cause she’s very high maintenance and basically has to take care of her anyway. nicole weirdly doesn’t disagree.
-i have this split headcanon for emily’s parents where they’re either super conservative and purist or they’re absurdly worse than her in terms of being high as balls 24/7. i imagine them to not be divorced either, but this is more of a ‘haha wouldn’t it be funny’ gag than an actually serious one. it’s just ironic.
i’m a lil tired and that’s all i can think of rn… hope you enjoyed tho! thanks for the ask <3

Mope Grooves — Box of Dark Roses (12XU)
Box of Dark Roses presents the final 27 songs written, arranged and recorded by trans activist and musician stevie (Pohlman), a massive two-LP set that showcases her DIY art, passionate engagement and close links to other trans advocates, poets and revolutionaries.
Mope Grooves emerged in Portland, Oregon in the late teens, with a brash but vulnerable guitar rock sound and a message, from the beginning, about gender identity, inclusion and mental health. Their early albums, Joy and Vanished from 2017 and 2018 respectively, bristled with punk energy, with shouted anthems and loose-slung, infectious melodies. Dusted’s Jason Gioncontere called Desire, the band’s fourth album, “their most cohesive set yet,” late in 2019. And Portland’s Ben Parrish who caught them early and fell hard, wrote of an early show, “And Mope Grooves—Pohlman’s band—broke my brain. Imagine if somebody ran records by The Raincoats, The Clean, Beat Happening, Tyvek, and Marine Girls through a wood chipper and glued the pieces into a new super-record.”
Musically, Box of Dark Roses is more keyboard- and synthesizer-based than Mope Grooves’ earlier album, an uneasy sweetness percolating in its gentle melodies. The soft pretty songs are, in some ways, the most disturbing. “Forever Is a Long Time” pits tootling organ riffs against a sing-song melody, but sharpens the edge with rattling, off-kilter drumming. “Aileen” floats hauntingly graceful vocals over space-video-game pinging and rushing drums. “They’ll tell you you’re a criminal for paying them back in kind, but in the dark, in the wild, in the heart of the night, it is right to fight,” sings band member Lee. It’s a bracing sentiment in a song dedicated to Aileen Wuornos, a sex worker from Florida who killed seven of her clients, purportedly in self-defense. And “I’m Tired All the Time,” with its music box chimes, spiraling fiddle and slapping, just-behind-the-beat percussion, is a lullaby or a suicide note, depending on how you hear it.
Politics turn more explicit in the tracks with extensive spoken word incorporated. Marilyn Buck, the poet and May 19 Communist organization revolutionary best known for freeing Assata Shakur from the Clinton Correctional Facility for Women in New Jersey, speaks on a handful of cuts, including the opener “Controlled Burn” and “Here Comes the Moon.” The song “Continuity and Intensity,” tells the story of the Black Liberation Army’s Kuwasi Balagoon, who, when put on trial, declared, “We have a right to resist, to expropriate money and arms, to kill the enemy of our people, to bomb, and do whatever else aids us in winning, and we will win. The foundation of the revolution must rest on the bones of the oppressors.” The song “Dora” recites a detailed account of gender oppression in Weimar, Germany and the suppression of Magnus Hirschfeld’s Institute for Sexual Research. The ratio of polemic to hook is pretty high on these tracks, but these were issues that mattered to stevie, and, as such, they belong here.
Box of Dark Roses was made near the end of stevie’s life (she killed herself in 2024), after a long struggle against gender dysphoria, physical and mental health issues, poverty and sporadic homelessness. In a lengthy, revealing essay included as liner notes, she writes, “I funded the recording process and the deposit on my surgeries by submitting my body to hyper-exploitation. I worked vanilla jobs 40-70 hours a week most of the time before relying increasingly on the informal economy. I was frequently in severe pain and losing work from chronic disabling illnesses that are aggravated by intense labor.”
And yet, though her suffering was real, she never lost sight of how much worse off others could be, particularly black and brown trans people. Before her death she stipulated that all profits from Box of Dark Roses should go to “gender marginalized survivors incarcerated as punishment for defending themselves, either directly to their fundraisers/commissary funds or thru the Survived and Punished NY mutual aid fund.” This is a difficult, important record, a whole different experience from Mope Grooves’ earlier lo-fi garage albums, but well worth making time for.

hi!! if you're still doing the hazbindergarten au, I assume since you've done moxxie you also take helluva boss requests? if so, can we get hcs for fizzarolli and/or stolas?? ty!! this au is very fun jaja
Hi! Yes, I am still taking requests for the hazbindergarten au! (I just kind of forgot about it, but I still love it lol)
(btw you also get a bonus addition of Blitz and Millie because I had written up hcs for them and forgot to post them)
Blitz: Severe dyslexia & ADHD, he struggles badly with reading and writing, which is later found to be profoundly exacerbated by untreated strabismus that has made him blind in his right eye. His father is hinted throughout the series to be involved in several illegal business dealings and that the environment at home is far from safe. His favorite times of class are P.E, free play, and art (his art always relates to horses and/or pirates in some way, regardless of the assignment). Blitz has a remarkable ability to cause chaos, even without particularly trying to (though he honestly very often is). He has vitiligo, and is a little bit older than his other classmates, turning 6 early on in the school year.
Stolas: Born to an extremely rich and secretive family, he was initially enrolled in prestigious private schools, but repeatedly had to be discreetly disenrolled from them when he suffered “disgraceful” ongoing incidents of panic attacks and sensory meltdowns. Once he received diagnoses of autism, anxiety, his father decided it may be “best to put him somewhere he’ll be out of the way” and enrolled him at the first special education classroom he found (which happened to be Charlie’s). Despite all of this, it does end up being a beneficial decision, with Stolas befriending Blitz almost immediately, and, feeling safe when he’s around him, becoming very relaxed and sociable. He mostly communicates through infodumping and scripting from all of the ridiculously advanced science and astronomy books he totes around with him at all times. His favorite time of the day is storytime and whenever the class takes a field trip to the school library he happy-stims the whole way there. Although he gets embarrassed that he doesn’t know as much “book stuff” as Stolas, Blitz enjoys being classroom buddies with him, with Stolas reading to him, and complimenting all of his artwork.
Millie: ADHD with severe hyperactivity & is profoundly hard of hearing. She has numerous rowdy siblings both older and younger than her, which can make managing some of her behavior in class rather difficult since being fast and loud is often advantageous at home. As the semester progresses she befriends Moxxie and helps draw him out of his shell, and she calms down somewhat around him. Her favorite parts of the day are P.E. and free play.
Fizzarolli: Afflicted with a profound connective tissue disorder that sometimes causes him severe pain. He wears complex orthopedic braces and sometimes requires the use of a wheelchair* when his pain is severe. His family works for, lives on the property of, and is implied to be indebted to Blitz’s father, with the majority of his benefit money his family receives for his medical care going towards their dues to him. He is very cheerful and sweet-natured, but if not engaged he will become restless and attempt to perform contortionist tricks for his classmates, not understanding that it will worsen his joint pain. His favorite parts of class are storytime and P.E. (where he gets to do P.T. exercise games with Pentious**)
*Pentious hates his P.T. exercise games, so Fizzarolli always does his best to make him feel better and have a good (or at least a better) time
**It’s very much a cobbled together DIY wheelchair, made from a plastic deck chair, some bicycle & big wheel tires, and a dismantled shopping cart. Everyone pretends it doesn’t violate 5 different school safety guidelines so Fizzarolli can enter the building when he's using it.
#thank you for the ask!#I'm glad you like the au! It seems like it could be a very cute one imo!#lmk if you want to see more characters I'd love to revitalize this au!#blitzø#blitz helluva boss#helluva fizzarolli#helluva millie#helluva stolas#hazbindergarten au#helluva boss#hazbin hotel

Btw ALL CRAFTS BENIFIT FROM INCREASING YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF MECHANICAL FORCES AND THE SHAPES OF ENGINEERING.
I grew up with my maternal grandparents visiting every summer with their trailer attatched ( heavy duty, biiig truck needed, deseil, associate the smell with their visits to this day, and the characteristic sound of the idiling engine ) and working with my Engineer ( Computer Science + UI Design, Electrical, HVAC, Boiler operation and troubleshooting, specialization in retrofitting old buildings with large multifloor airflow systems with minimal disturbance to the original structure, later trained to supervise new construction + oversee and assist in the labor of installation on site ) Dad to plan, construct, and install home and barnyard improvements / modifications / upgrades.
Not only were the blocks I played with from age 6 months to 14 years old made from scrap wood with the edges sanded off to make em kiddo safe, I was often Around as Dad and Grandpa were drawing on grid paper, discussing weight distribution, load bearing beams, when a box support is needed, how the square design of a box support is modified and how measurements on paper became the pieces that made a whole heckin chicken coop in one summer. As I got older I was trusted to read off those measurements so no one had to come down off a ladder to check things, and read the tape measure from the bottom and call out appropriate adjustments before a trim line is drawn. Dad goes down, Grandpa goes up, he checks the measurement again and makes his own mark. If they match, they cut. If they don't, they discuss how they made the measurement to troubleshoot why they got different results, and then we did it again to ensure understanding had been reached.
Measure until its consistant, accept human error, accept it happens All The Time, and check things until You Are Certain. THEN trim material.
A similar addage is learned in sewing; measure twice, cut once.
Mathamatics teaches guess and check, a handy principal in fibercrafts of all kinds.
Those scrap blocks I mentioned? Taught me about mechanical forces like gravity, friction, weight distribution across multiple shapes and which shapes built up best without falling over or bracing; all principals I applied later not only in crafting DIY stuff around the house but also within my artistic practice when imagining and arting locations, clothing, and people.
A lot of practical knowledge gets locked behind the barrier of Theoretical Physics ( i.e when its just numbers on paper Theorizing On How A Thing May Work In Real Space ) before an institution will let ya get your brain onto some real instruction. But there's a lotta things you can do to learn these things in your own home, and most are forms of play or creative hobbies.
Near everything you do with your body and brain together benifits both, in skill and theorizing on future intentions as they go from an idea to something others can SEE and sometimes even HOLD IN THEIR HANDS.
I still firmly beleive the ability to idiate upon something until one figures out How To Show It To Someone Else is truely the closest humans get to Actual Magic, and exists somewhere within everything people make or actuate with their physical person. And I think that undefinable Magic is what we call Art. The Arts. Crafting, creative, visual, audio, narrative, culinary, woodworks, masonry, smithing, fiberworks, fabrics, tailoring, and more than I even know to name because the catagory of Things People Imagine And Then Make Real is PRETTY FREAKIN WIDE.
These things are not sperate from the "hard" bodies of study and practice, math used to be considered magical and esoteric, and only became respectable when Accurate Measurement caused less people to die at the Apothocary, birthing the More Respectable Alchemist, and later into just Chemist-- all based on Math; an imagined system applied to the real world, bounded on proven precepts that are applied over and over and over to LITERALLY ANYTHING we can try it on to see If It Still Tracks Or We Missed Something-- thus why Gravity Is A Theory, and why Theory is one of the strongest words in scientific study, physics, and so on; it means It has Survived Years Of Genuine And Strenious Testing, Found Every Way It Was Wrong, And Continue Tweaking And Testing And CALIBRATING Our Imagined Incraments To Measure The World And Think More Accurately About Future Intentions.
Like the practice of all crafts and arts.
I guess this is Art Theory now? 🤷🏼

DIY Cabinet Makeovers
Project by Max Tielman:
Keeping up with the latest trends in design can often be overwhelming, especially when you’re pinching pennies, your budget too tight for the occasional furniture splurge. Working on a budget, however, doesn’t mean you have to forgo style — especially if you’re feeling crafty. To prove our point, we teamed up with our pals over at Target and completely revamped one of their most simple, flat-packed cabinet designs (retail price: $34.99) in three different popular styles. The best part? Each of these projects are easy enough to be accomplished in less than a day and without breaking the bank. Check out all three styles, plus directions for crafting each look after the jump! —Max
INDUSTRIAL CHIC
Materials
1 Room Essentials 2-Drawer Organizer (White finish)
About 13 feet of copper piping, 3/4 inch diameter (more or less based on desired height)
8 copper 90-degree elbows (3/4 inch diameter)
4 copper T-joints (3/4 inch diameter)
2 2-hole conduit straps (3/4 inch)
8 #10 3/4 inch wood screws (for attaching conduit straps)
Roughly two feet of rope
Power drill with bit to match rope thickness
Painter’s tape
Miter saw with blade made for cutting metal
Phillips screwdriver
1) Assemble cabinet according to manufacturer’s directions. Do not attach drawer pulls.
2) Cut copper piping using miter saw into the following lengths (you may want to adjust these based on the height you need):
8 inches (4 pieces)
21 inches (8 pieces)
19.5 inches (2 pieces)
3) Insert 2 21-inch pipe pieces into the top and bottom of each copper “T” joint.
4) Attach a copper elbow at the end of each 21-inch piece. Connect other side of elbows together with 8-inch pipe pieces. This should leave you with two separate long loop-shaped pieces of piping. These are your table legs.
5) Attach each 19.5 inch piece to the leftover center hold on each “T” joint in order to create a central brace that holds the table legs together (see photograph for reference).
6) Put cabinet on its side (face up) and attach legs to cabinet bottom with metal conduit straps.
7) Cover the screw holes on the drawer fronts with painter’s tape. Drill through each hole using a bit that corresponds with the thickness of your rope. Remove painter’s tape.
8) Cut rope into two evenly-sized pieces. Feed each rope piece into the drilled holes. Adjust size as desired. Affix rope pulls by tying a tight knot on each end on the drawer interior.
9) SAFETY NOTE: Because the cabinets are fairly light weight, you will need to use the wall-mounting attachment that is provided with the cabinet hardware. This prevents the cabinet from tipping over if rattled or opened too quickly. If you’d rather not see this bit of hardware, simply affix it to your cabinet on its underside. Done!
RETRO REVIVAL
Materials
1 Room Essentials 2-Drawer Organizer (White finish)
1 Room Essentials Chesapeake Sketch Window Panel in Yellow
Threshold Jessina Knobs in Aqua
Devine Color Paint in Horizon
4 Waddell Straight Top Plates
4 Waddell 5 1/2 inch Round Tapered Legs
Mod Podge (or similar craft glue, in glossy finish)
Shellac-based primer
Sand Paper
Wood Stain
2 Foam paintbrushes
1 regular paintbrush
X-Acto Knife (or similar craft knife)
Phillips screwdriver
1) Wash and dry curtain panel according to provided washing directions. Iron out any wrinkles with a warm iron.
2) Sand the outward facing surfaces of the cabinet frame (4 sides total).
3) Apply shellac-based primer to outward facing surfaces of cabinet frame and allow to dry. Follow with 2 coats of Devine Color Horizon Paint. Allow to dry.
4) Apply 2 coats of wood stain to tapered legs according to stain manufacturer’s directions. Allow to dry.
5) Sand the front-facing side of the drawer fronts.
6) Lay drawer fronts face-up, parallel to each other.
7) Apply a generous layer of Mod Podge to both drawer fronts.
8) Lay curtain panel fabric face-up on top of drawer fronts. Wipe firmly across drawer surfaces to remove any air bubbles and to secure fabric to drawer fronts.
9) Gently apply layers of Mod Podge on top of the portions of fabric that are covering the drawer fronts. Allow to dry thoroughly.
10) Cut excess fabric away from drawer fronts, leaving about an inch around the edges of the drawer fronts.
11) Flip drawer fronts upside down and gently cut away all remaining excess fabric with your X-Acto blade. In order to protect your floors or work surface, use the disassembled box that the cabinet came in as a cutting surface.
12) Attach Threshold knobs to the center of the cabinet, using the two pre-drilled knob holes as a guide. If you have a power drill handy, it’s helpful to drill a pilot hole before you screw the knobs in. Because the cabinet panels are thinner than most wood, use the knob screws provided with the cabinet rather than those provided with the Threshold knobs.
13) Assemble cabinet according to manufacturer’s directions.
14) Place cabinet on its side and drill four top plates into the corners of cabinet underside. Screw in tapered legs. Presto! All done!
VINTAGE GLAM
Materials
1 Room Essentials 2-Drawer Organizer (Espresso finish)
Pack of paper lunch bags
Kiwi Shoe Polish in Brown
4 4-inch Bun-Foot Table Legs
Threshold Vista Square Drawer Pulls in Oil-Rubbed Bronze
Dritz Nailhead Trim in Antique Gold
Mod Podge (or similar craft glue)
Sand paper
Wood Stain
Foam paintbrush
Phillips screwdriver
1) Stain table legs according to stain manufacturer’s directions. Allow to dry.
2) Assemble cabinet frame according to manufacturer’s directions. Leave drawers unassembled at this time.
3) Sand all portions of cabinet that will be visible, including drawer fronts.
3) Decoupage your “faux leather” finish onto all outwardly visible parts of cabinet frame and drawer fronts. To create a distressed leather look, tear brown paper bags into non-uniform pieces, making sure there are no creases or straight lines. Crumple paper in your hands, uncrumple paper, apply a generous amount of Mod Podge to cabinet surface and place paper piece onto primed surface. Secure with a thin layer of Mod Podge. Repeat until entire cabinet frame and drawer fronts are covered.
4) Apply two layers of brown shoe polish to decoupaged surface. Create a uniform look by applying in small, circular strokes. Allow to dry.
5) Apply nailhead trim to the border of each drawer front, following the trim manufacturer’s directions.
6) Attach drawer pulls to drawer fronts using the pre-drilled holes. Because the cabinet material is thinner than most wood panels, use the knob screws that are provided with the cabinet, not the screws provided with the drawer pulls.
7) Assemble cabinet drawers and attach to cabinet frame following manufacturer’s directions.
8) Place cabinet on its side (front up) and screw in top plates at corners. Attach table legs. Done!

How to Reduce Gap Between Teeth Naturally at Home?
Gaps between teeth, medically known as diastema, are a common dental issue that can affect the appearance of your smile and sometimes your oral health. While professional dental treatments like braces or veneers are highly effective, many people look for natural, at-home remedies to reduce gaps between teeth. In this article, we’ll explore how to reduce the gap between teeth naturally at home, offering practical tips and advice.

How To Properly Fit And Use Moldable False Teeth?
Teeth Numbers And Tooth Chart: All You Need To Know
What Causes Gaps Between Teeth?
Before diving into natural remedies, it's important to understand the root causes of gaps between teeth. Some common reasons include:
Genetics: Diastema can run in families.
Tongue Thrusting: Pushing the tongue against teeth while swallowing can create gaps over time.
Gum Disease: Periodontal issues can cause bone loss, leading to gaps.
Habits: Thumb sucking or prolonged pacifier use during childhood may result in gaps.
Can Gaps Be Reduced Naturally?
While natural remedies can help in some cases, it’s important to note that they are generally more effective for minor gaps and might not work for severe cases. Consistency and patience are key when trying these methods.
How to Reduce Gap Between Teeth Naturally at Home
1. Orthodontic Bands
Orthodontic bands are small rubber bands designed to pull teeth closer together.
How to Use: Place the band around the teeth you want to move closer.
Tip: Consult a dentist before using orthodontic bands to ensure they are safe for your teeth.
2. Dental Exercises
Certain exercises can help align teeth and reduce gaps naturally.
Example: Close your teeth together and press gently while ensuring proper alignment.
Duration: Practice for 5–10 minutes daily.
3. Oil Pulling
Oil pulling with coconut or sesame oil is known to improve overall oral health, which might aid in reducing gaps caused by gum issues.
How to Do It: Swish a tablespoon of oil in your mouth for 15–20 minutes daily.
Benefits: Strengthens gums and prevents further spacing due to gum disease.
4. Chewing Gum Technique
Chewing sugar-free gum can help apply mild pressure on your teeth, which might help align them over time.
How to Use: Chew gum on the side with gaps to encourage movement.
5. Maintain Proper Oral Hygiene
Poor gum health can worsen gaps between teeth. Maintain a solid oral care routine, including:
Brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste.
Flossing to prevent plaque buildup.
Using a mouthwash to strengthen gums.
6. Dietary Changes
Eating a diet rich in calcium and vitamin D promotes strong teeth and healthy gums. Include foods like:
Dairy products, leafy greens, and nuts.
Avoid sticky or sugary snacks that can harm your teeth.
7. Homemade Toothpaste
A mixture of baking soda and water can naturally clean teeth and promote gum health.
How to Use: Mix a teaspoon of baking soda with water to create a paste. Use it to brush your teeth gently.
Precautions and Limitations
While these natural remedies can help reduce gaps, they may not provide quick or permanent results. It’s crucial to:
Be patient, as natural methods take time to show results.
Avoid attempting unsafe DIY treatments without professional advice.
Monitor your progress and consult a dentist if you notice discomfort or no improvement.
When to See a Dentist
For moderate to severe gaps or issues caused by gum disease, professional treatments are often the best solution. Some options include:
Braces or Aligners: Orthodontic devices to move teeth into proper alignment.
Dental Bonding or Veneers: Cosmetic solutions to fill gaps effectively.
Gum Disease Treatment: If gum health is causing gaps, periodontal therapy may be required.
Final Thoughts
Understanding how to reduce the gap between teeth naturally at home can help you take proactive steps toward improving your smile. While these methods may be effective for minor gaps, larger or more complex cases might require professional intervention.
Maintaining good oral hygiene, practicing natural remedies, and seeking regular dental check-ups are the keys to a confident and healthy smile. Always consult a dentist to determine the best course of action for your specific situation.

Rant about me being poor and annoyed
Normalise being poor. Getting your clothes at thrift stores. I haven't gotten a piece of clothing apart from shoes from any other store than my local thrift stores. And even the shoes I got in a local store for 220zl. I don't follow trends and I don't change my entire style every month. I don't have a big book collection because I go to libraries. And if I own books they're from book fairs or were gifted to me. I get my makeup used from people that don't want it anymore, local stores and sales. I dye my hair by myself or by a family friend. My phone costed me 600zl and I bought it myself last year. I never got my nails done professionally like others in my class. I used to get press-ons and now I just grow out my nails. The only cosmetic shit I've done was a lash lamination my friend got me for my birthday last year and a brow regulation my mom used to pay for that I now do myself. If I don't like something I have I either diy it or give it out. I've had the same jacket for 3 years. I get food packages from welfare. I only have braces because my mom got them refunded by the government, even tho they usually aren't. I've been on the waitlist to a psychiatrist for months and my visit is still 2 months away. And I care for my mental health by myself. I'm not sitting there complaining that I need help and I at least try to help myself. I don't go on class trips and I had to talk to my teacher because she thought I don't want to integrate with the class. Last year I had to pay 100zl for a grade in polish because my teacher decided that we need to go to the teather two times in a semester or we'll get a zero. And education is free in this country. Books also are expensive. I don't have streaming services. I have Spotify premium because I asked for it as a birthday gift. I don't get pocket money and I can't always go do what my friends want to do. I live in a 2 room apartment with 3 other people. I don't have any privacy and all my personal space is a desk. That desk I also got from a family friend. And the desk chair from my grandma's past employer. The last time I was abroad was like 4 years ago and even then it was a trip to a village in the czech republic 2 hours away from my house. Now I only go for vacation with my dad to visit grandma or trips to my mom's boyfriend on the weekends. My mom doesn't work, she doesn't have a car. My family has lived in the same flat for generations. And I don't plan to change much. I'm middle lower class and I accept it. I know I won't change much. I don't plan to get out of it and become a millionaire. I don't want to leave. I'm happy here. I don't want to move to a big city. I want to get a normal job, make enough money to survive by myself. I want a flat in the crossroad I live on right now. I hate being anywhere else. And that's all I truly want. I don't want a boyfriend, I don't need one and I don't think I ever will. I just want to live by myself in a flat in a place I've known all my life. I want to go to a regular job. I want to visit my dad sometimes. I want to go on walks around the neighborhood where everyone knows me. I want to take my favorite bus every week to buy food, go to my local library, meet my friends, go to local events, to the cemetery where my family rests, where I will rest one day. I like how my grandma lives. She wakes up, visits her mom twice a week, which she's so blessed to have a mom at the age she is. She goes on walk, she tends to our garden in the warmer months, she sits on her bench with her friends, she used to dye her hair by herself. She goes on walks everyday to our forests. She goes to the library every Friday. I don't always get along with her and she often annoys me, but I like how peaceful her life is, or would be without us. And by us I mean me, my mom and my sister.

How Much Do Aligners Cost? Is It Affordable for Your Smile Transformation?
A straight, confident smile is something most of us desire, but traditional braces are not always the best solution. This is where teeth aligners come in—offering a discreet and comfortable alternative. If you're considering aligners to transform your smile, you may be asking yourself, How much do aligners cost? Understanding the factors that influence aligner pricing is key to determining whether this treatment is affordable for you. In this blog, we’ll break down the cost of teeth aligners, what affects their price, and whether they are a worthy investment for your smile transformation.
Why Choose Aligners?
Before we dive into the costs, let’s quickly look at why aligners are becoming a popular choice for smile transformations. Unlike traditional metal braces, aligners are clear, removable, and custom-fitted to your teeth. They are comfortable, easy to maintain, and, most importantly, discreet—making them a popular option for adults and teenagers who prefer a more subtle way to straighten their teeth.
How Much Do Aligners Cost in Australia?
The cost of aligners in Australia can vary significantly depending on several factors, but on average, you can expect to pay between $3,500 and $8,000 for full aligner treatment.
Simple cases: If your teeth only need minor adjustments, the cost may be on the lower end, around $3,500 to $5,000.
Complex cases: If your treatment requires more extensive work, such as correcting bite issues or significant misalignment, the cost can be higher, ranging from $6,000 to $8,000.
It’s important to note that these figures typically cover the cost of the aligners themselves, but you should also consider any additional fees for consultations, scans, or ongoing check-ups.
Factors That Affect the Cost of Aligners
There’s no one-size-fits-all price when it comes to aligners. Several factors can influence how much aligners cost, and understanding these elements can help you budget for your treatment:
Type of Aligners
There are different types of aligners available, and the choice you make will impact the overall cost:
In-Office Aligners (e.g., Invisalign): These aligners are tailored to your teeth using advanced 3D imaging technology, and you’ll receive regular check-ups with your dentist or orthodontist. While highly effective and custom-designed for your needs, in-office aligners tend to be more expensive.
At-Home Aligners (e.g., SmileDirectClub): These DIY aligners are delivered to your door after you take an impression of your teeth at home. While they are typically less expensive, they may not be suitable for more complex dental issues and may require less professional oversight.
Choosing the right option depends on your needs, treatment complexity, and budget.
Complexity of Your Case
The severity of your dental issues is one of the most significant factors influencing how much do aligners cost. Simple alignment issues—such as minor crowding or slight gaps—are quicker to treat, which generally results in a lower cost. More complex cases, such as severe misalignment or bite problems, require longer treatment times, more aligners, and more frequent monitoring by a dental professional, thus increasing the cost.
Treatment Duration
The longer you need to wear the aligners, the more expensive your treatment is likely to be. Treatment duration varies depending on your individual needs but typically ranges from 6 to 18 months. The more aligners you require and the longer you wear them, the higher the overall cost will be.
Brand and Provider
The brand you choose plays a role in the overall cost. Leading brands like Invisalign are often considered the gold standard, with a reputation for precise, high-quality treatment. However, the added brand recognition and technology come with a premium price.
There are also alternative brands, like ClearCorrect or SmileDirectClub, that can offer similar results at a more affordable price. Local providers may also offer competitive pricing, especially if they work with a range of aligner brands.
Additional Costs
When calculating the cost of aligners, don’t forget to factor in potential extra costs such as:
Initial consultation: Many dental practices charge a consultation fee to evaluate your suitability for aligner treatment.
X-rays and scans: Some practices include these in the overall price, while others charge separately for diagnostic tests.
Follow-up visits: Some aligner treatments require regular check-ups to monitor your progress, and these can incur additional costs.
Are Aligners Worth the Investment?
While the question of how much do aligners cost is important, it’s equally crucial to consider the value they bring to your life. Straighter teeth can lead to a more confident smile, better oral health, and improved self-esteem. Aligners are also far more discreet than traditional braces, making them an appealing option for adults who want to improve their smile without drawing attention to their treatment.
Furthermore, aligners can be a convenient solution. Since they are removable, you can easily take them out when eating or brushing your teeth, which means fewer dietary restrictions and easier oral hygiene.
Are There Ways to Make Aligners More Affordable?
If the cost of aligners seems daunting, there are a few ways to make the treatment more affordable:
Insurance Coverage: Some private health insurance plans cover part of the cost of orthodontic treatment, including aligners. Be sure to check with your insurer to see what’s included.
Payment Plans: Many dental providers offer flexible payment plans, allowing you to spread the cost of treatment over several months or even years.
Discounts and Promotions: Some providers offer seasonal discounts, referral bonuses, or other promotions that can help reduce the overall cost.
When asking how much do aligners cost?, the answer varies depending on your individual needs. However, with an average cost between $3,500 and $8,000, aligners are generally considered a worthwhile investment for many people looking to transform their smiles.
While the price may seem high upfront, the benefits—such as improved oral health, comfort, and convenience—can make aligners an affordable and valuable option for many Australians. To ensure you’re getting the best deal, research different providers, explore payment options, and consult with your dentist or orthodontist to understand the full cost of your treatment.
Ultimately, achieving the smile of your dreams may be more affordable than you think—especially when you consider the long-term impact it can have on your confidence and quality of life.

How Long Do Tooth Gems Last?
Tooth gems are a popular way to add a personal touch to your smile with a hint of sparkle. These tiny gems, usually crafted from Swarovski crystals, gold, or diamonds, are applied to the surface of your teeth, offering a semi-permanent way to accessorize your look. But how long do tooth gems actually last? This guide will walk you through the longevity of tooth gems, factors that impact their durability, and tips for extending their wear.
Understanding the Longevity of Tooth Gems
Generally, tooth gems can last anywhere from 6 months to a few years, depending on the type of adhesive used, personal dental care habits, and the gem material. Most professional tooth gems are attached with a high-quality dental adhesive, similar to the one used for braces, which ensures durability and safety. Here’s what you can expect in terms of longevity:
Temporary Tooth Gems: These are usually attached with lighter adhesives and last around 6 months to a year.
Semi-Permanent Tooth Gems: Using high-strength adhesives, these gems can last up to 2 years or longer with proper care.
When placed by a professional, tooth gems have a higher chance of staying intact for a longer period. The placement, quality of adhesive, and gem size are all factors that influence how long they stay attached.
Factors That Affect Tooth Gem Durability
Several factors can impact how long your tooth gem will last:
1. Application Quality: Tooth gems applied by a licensed dental professional are likely to last longer than DIY options. Professionals use high-quality adhesive and tools to ensure the gem is securely placed.
2. Tooth Surface Condition: The smoother and cleaner the tooth surface, the better the gem will adhere. Any pre-existing dental work, like fillings or crowns, might affect how well the gem sticks.
3. Eating Habits: Biting into hard foods or ice, or grinding teeth, can put stress on the gem, potentially dislodging it. Limiting hard foods can extend the gem’s longevity.
4. Oral Hygiene Routine: Brushing, flossing, and regular check-ups are essential for keeping the area around the tooth gem clean. However, brushing too vigorously over the gem can weaken the adhesive, shortening its lifespan.
5. Gem Size and Weight: Larger, heavier gems may be more prone to falling off compared to smaller, lighter gems, as they exert more pressure on the adhesive.
How to Extend the Life of Your Tooth Gem
To get the most out of your tooth gem, follow these tips:
Visit a Professional: Get your tooth gem applied by a certified professional who specializes in cosmetic dentistry. They can ensure that the gem is securely attached, reducing the risk of it falling off.
Use Gentle Brushing Techniques: When brushing, be gentle around the tooth gem area. Soft-bristled toothbrushes are recommended to prevent damaging the adhesive.
Avoid Hard Foods: Crunchy or sticky foods can loosen the gem or cause it to fall off. Try to avoid biting directly into hard foods to keep the gem in place.
Avoid Chewing Gum: Gum can stick to the gem and weaken its hold. If you choose to chew gum, avoid chewing on the side with the gem.
Regular Dental Check-Ups: Inform your dentist about your tooth gem during regular check-ups so they can check its condition and ensure it doesn’t interfere with oral health.
Are Tooth Gems Safe?
Tooth gems are generally safe when applied by a professional, as they do not require any drilling or damage to the tooth’s surface. Professionals use dental-safe adhesives that are strong yet non-damaging to the enamel. However, proper care is important to prevent any potential buildup of plaque around the gem, which could lead to decay.
Additionally, if you’re planning to remove the tooth gem, it’s best to visit a professional to avoid any damage to the enamel. A dentist can safely remove the gem and any adhesive residue, leaving the tooth surface smooth and intact.
When to Replace a Tooth Gem
The adhesive bond of a tooth gem naturally weakens over time, so even with great care, it will eventually need replacing if you wish to maintain the look. Temporary gems generally last around 6 months, while semi-permanent options can last 1-2 years. Signs it may be time to replace your tooth gem include:
Looseness: If the gem feels wobbly, it’s best to remove it before it falls off.
Discoloration: Gems may become dull over time; replacing them can refresh your look.
Wear on Adhesive: If you notice any visible adhesive wear, a professional can assess whether a replacement is needed.
Tooth gems are a unique and stylish addition that can last anywhere from a few months to several years, depending on how well they are applied and cared for. Following good oral hygiene practices, avoiding hard foods, and visiting a professional for application and removal are key steps to ensuring your gem lasts as long as possible. With proper care, your tooth gem can remain a sparkling enhancement to your smile, adding a touch of personality and style to your everyday look.
