DmC: Devil May Cry is one of those games that I know is bad, but I am absolutely endeared by it.

I originally wanted to draw the original DMC cast as furries, but I couldn't decide on what species everyone would be (other than they won't be the same animals as their DMC reboot versions.)

The only one I'll reveal my reason for species choice for is Kat, becauses bats symbolize going between the dream realm and awake world, perfect for a character that can travel through dimensions. Also bat rhymes with Kat.

The other two are references but you figure them out idk.

One of my all time favorite ideas was a DMC college AU where many shenanigans happen

Ok so since this is tumblr I can ramble about their majors and all that:

Nero - student athlete, in every sport I guess. His actual major is probably something out of left field like Theater. Or he's in the same major as Nico but flunking every subject so she's tutoring him in exchange for being a test subject for her inventions

Kyrie - Teaching and Elementary Education, youth committee group organizer, charity and fundraising organizer, does choir, does just about anything on campus

Nico - Engineer, full honors

m!Dante - does not go here, he's just smoking on the quad

Kat - art student, does about any drug available

Dante and Vergil would be a coach/custodian and a professor of something, respectively. And m!Vergil is some economics or law degree

I'd accidently deleted my old Kat apartment when I accidently deleted my whole Sim game like several years ago and finally thought 'hey, lets make a new one'

DmC 2 designs for the main 3

i've made so many of these designs lol but i really love this game and i need a way to fill the empty space in my soul that the lack of a sequel has left 😭

Dante- I gave him a red jacket but made it cropped to better differentiate him from og dante and to give him a different silhouette. I wanted his outfit to look more diy and gritty, fitting in with the state of Limbo city at this point.

Kat- I wanted to keep the basic vibe of her original design so i kept a hood and put a vine motif going up the sleeves to mimic her henna in-game. I gave her longer, baggier pants with pockets to hold ingredients for spells.

Vergil- His outfit hasn't changed much because he's been in Hell for the time being. His jacket looks more tattered and worn and he himself looks sickly given the wound to his heart. I gave him more practical boots and referenced this unused DMC5 vergil concept.

No he has BILLIONS of mods for his Sims, living vicariously through them in his Gamer Pad

Kat new how important those Sims were to Vergil, she knew how cool they were because she helped with the lore on those Sims

They stayed up for HOURS, H O U R S making stories on these Sims, those Sims had families, lovers, BETA FISH
