Kind of am curious. I've asked my friends and mutuals this before, but I still love hearing from others about it whether you are a furry, not a furry, or in denial. What are your furry art pet-peeves? Like what are things about how most people draw furries that kind of annoy you or you find overused?

VoicePlay - Oogie Boogie's Song vs Be Prepared
When you've got two covers of Disney (or at least Disneyish) villain songs, and both come with a "full-production" video with makeup, costuming, and set design, and both of them feature Geoff on lead vocals, well, you should probably expect a few notable points of comparison. I noticed a decent handful of random interesting similarities between these two videos, and I wanted to share them!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Geoff first appears on-screen by walking out from behind part of the background setpieces
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Layne portrays a character not originally in the scene (or he simply isn't a confirmed character at all) and stays completely separate to the other three vocalists
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These other three vocalists act as the trio of 'lackeys' associated with Geoff's villain character
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Geoff actually interacts with Layne (not common in any video where everyone is standing up and/or positioned in a straight line, because typically Geoff and Layne are placed at opposite ends in such cases)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Use of green lighting and red lighting!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not actually a visual thing, but both songs mention "stew", and given that the latter case comes from the original rap bit that Layne wrote for the Be Prepared cover, I figured I might as well mention/include it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is more of a contrast than a comparison, but I wanted a specific one for Eli too, and this is good enough!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This
(Also I'm not showing it in screenshots because it'd be better with gifs, but Geoff does a spin in both videos too!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both videos end with the villain characters silhouetted in red and laughing/cackling evilly!
(My full visual analysis of Be Prepared will be coming tomorrow!)

What do you think of penacony so far? Who is you fav character rn?
SIOBHAN BELOVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
haven't found anything particularly for myself among characters yet (besides siobhan 👍). there's acheron and robin sure...but imbibitor lunae set the Character Hype bar so high and I have yet to feel it again (besides siobhan 👍). I can see the metaphor to USA, pretty funny especially for the Disneyish cartoon style. soooo many references too
I love the origami birds tho. I love when birds. another planet another birds, we need a planet with bird people

Am I the only one that finds Grants singing voice a bit weird/disneyish? No diss but it just doesn’t match him so well to me. Either way, I’m looking forward to seeing the musical. The whole cast looks great.
Grant’s singing is musical theater through and through 😂

Last night during my dog walk I heard a distinctly Disneyish song coming from a house... I paused to listen, could identify it as Belle from Beauty and the Beast heh. I found that amusing. That's one fun thing about Dutch neighbourhoods being cramped and tiny...

i was reading unsounded, and my grandfather looks over my shoulder. then points to sette and asks me is that the new naruto character...<he is from the the old country> so im shocked that he knew what naruto was LOL. my question is did you ever watch any anime before and it ever influencer ur stuff and how does sette feel being comparted to naurto LOL.
I never saw Naruto! But I have a cultural awareness of it. I'm an old school anime fan and could name off stuff I loved that you probably don't know. Never got into shounen beyond like, Gundam Wing though. I always preferred series with more adult characters.
The anime influence in my work seems pretty stark :3 I started off a Disney and indie comic nerd, and then got super into anime in college. Now I wouldn't mind sliding more out of anime and into a Euro-flavoured comic style. It's a slow shift. And I don't mind picking and choosing from whatever feels good. If I need an anime sweatdrop on someone, I'ma put it there. If I wanna draw a Disneyish dog, it's going in.

🔥 der Tod or Elisabeth das musical in general if you would prefer
I’ll just do Elisabeth in general — I don’t think i have many unpopular tod opinions!
I’ve seen the wie du reprise/Spiegel sequence of Essen stated as an improvement over the original, and I disagree. Both WDR stagings show Sisi’s mental health struggles, but the Essen staging/styling doesnt fit her character arc — she comes across as mad in a glitzy bohemian way, too much like what she actually wanted from wie du. The original staging is unglamorous and perfectly shows how different her life is from what she wanted. For spiegel, the original staging (Rudolf in front of the mirror and the faint image of Sisi behind) is flawless. I get why people like Essen having Rudolf hug Sisi, but I think it removes Sisi’s physical detachment from Rudolf and their mirrored isolation.
Alice Macura is very underrated and the only actress in a long time who has captured the darkness/ugliness of the character.
The Essen prod is absolutely stunning, each scene* is composed so beautifully it looks like a living painting. The original prod is not beautiful in this way — it’s staging is sometimes strange and harsh and abstract, which works for that version of the show, but sometimes I like to see a beautiful prod too. (* except act 2 schatten, i think that staging is really bad ahsdhs)
I disagree with the common critique that recent Sisi actresses struggle with older Sisi but are good at playing young Sisi, because I have just as much of an issue with their portrayals of young Sisi. The original Sisis either had an ethereal quality indicating a natural proximity to death, or were special in some way to show why Tod was drawn to them. Recent Sisis are just cute and disneyish. (I dont blame the actors, I think this is a direction issue)

i'm really really mad at the series but more than that, i'm disappointed. i knew that with all that built up high expectation, sooner or later we'd be reaching this point but i never expected that it would be because of characters being ruined by the feedback. learning that that top scene got cut already hit me hard, because it was not only super important to top as a character, but it seemed like something big for force and his acting. and simple as that - we lost it. i was having such a hard time swallowing that, and the fact that it was because top have been getting too much hate (like oh don't even get me started on this), and then today boom - another hit. another scene that would add so much to the characters and once again gone just like that and for what? my problem never was and never will be just having scenes cut, because that is normal and comprehensible, but the reason behind it and the way these are not useless stuff - these are scenes that would contribute a lot to the narrative and to their characterization. meanwhile, there are a lot of other scenes that could've not been there and it wouldn't change anything for anyone, not even the characters living it. and that's so frustrating and infuriating. having characters ruined by the writing and narrative is bad in any circumstance, but in a character-driven show it just makes it so much worse. it's like knowing them and their reasons is pretty much all we have and they're taking that away from us. 10 eps gone and we don't really know top, who by the way had 2 eps focused on him but somehow everyone else was there more than him; that atom thing was so out of pocket and extremely unnecessary, and was it to redempt boston? awful choice. i can't believe boston is in love with nick, simply because they didn't work enough on that part of his character - them suddenly getting together now just feels wrong (i'm sorry you can't convince me boston is really in love with him). sandray's also felt so lazy and disneyish - i hate the path they took with both of them. boeing should've been here earlier, or not at all, it also felt like they just added to make it messier and it didn't make any sense. and then we have only two eps left and things that we could've been working on with all these characters were not done well and they're being ruined for the show to stay on the "messy" track... and what for? haven't we got enough mess at the first half to be now dealing with? the switch with mew in ep 6 (or 5? i'm a little unsure rn) should be what marks the start of the second part and we could be developing everyone from ep 7-12, it was enough time to give everyone a proper development and ending. but then we got this, and that, and that just for the sake of creating chaos and we got nowhere and i am so disappointed. honestly, lost a lot of respect after hearing the thing about the editing and i just can't wait for this to be over. a whole year waiting for this show just for it to be ruined by its fandom - quite literally 😕

Security Breach is the WORST game in the franchise.
Let me explain.
Now, hear me out. This might get hate because, as we all know, when SB was released the entire FNAF spotlight shifted to it. Everyone was talking about it and the fandom grew 10x bigger overnight. From a gameplay point of view it was amazing. The graphics were really cool and the free roaming was well designed, but that was about it. To me it played like the knock off FNAF games people developed in 2015, almost FNAF, but not enough. Let’s be honest here, the characters just didn’t feel like Five Nights at Freddy‘s characters. I know they’re meant to be modernized versions of the original crew, but it wasn’t well executed. Freddy and Chica remained in the game, but Foxy and Bonnie were completely written out. Not to mention the complete bastardization of Freddy and Chica. I loved Glamrock Freddy while playing the game solely because I do believe he was meant to be possessed by the ghost of Michael Afton, which is such a cool viewpoint to be lead by the character you’ve been playing as since 2014. It was fun in the moment but still didn’t translate to Five Nights at Freddy’s.
One of the best things about FNAF is that it has a very signature feeling to it. I think that feeling was lost at Sister Location. The characters we see in these games have the same basic design but we’re completely lost in translation. Freddy has been overdeveloped, between OG Freddy, glamrock Freddy, withered Freddy, shadow Freddy, toy Freddy, nightmare Freddy, twisted Freddy, golden Freddy, Lefty? Not to mention the others that I literally do not have it in me to name. There’s just TOO MANY!
Serious question. How did a single dad running a pizzeria afford the materials it would take to make over 100 animatronics? One animatronic costs anywhere from 10,000 to 1,000,000 depending on the quality. These ones are massive and have free movement, allowing them to roam on their own without coding to do so, these things would probably cost about 700,000 dollars each (probably more. definitely more but whatever.) You’re seriously telling me this man spent 70M dollars on animatronics just to shove some kids souls in there? No way.
And let’s address the elephant in the room, SB is a children’s game. Sure, there’s some measly jump scares, but it’s the children’s equivalent of the original games. The original games featured the eerie 8-bit murder scenes and bone chilling lore of the heartless child serial killer luring kids to the back room of his pizzeria and slaughtering them, only to shove their corpses into the suits of the characters he made. Never once in security breach did I ever feel a hint of fear or that signature eeriness that made the old games so amazing. If you play security breach to the end, you escape the pizzeria and woohoo yippee no scary suits or child murder or anything. Where’s the fun in that? In past games the endings have still left you feeling weird. Like burning down a building (and yourself) or being reminded that you have to come back the next week, or just flat out being brutally murdered anyway. My personal favourite has to be in Help Wanted (the VR game) when, despite completing the game, you’re led by glitch trap to the back where there’s a more than creepy birthday display for you, complete with your favourite lifeless animatronics sat against the wall and our signature rabbit leading you to the back room, cut to you standing on stage and realizing that you’re now trapped in the bear suit you so loved as a kid! AMAZING! Experiencing it in VR is absolutely chilling and I never got that feeling from SB. It’s just too Disneyish.
Anyways. It was also a huge part of the plot that the Freddy Fazbears Pizzerias’s were unable to stay open for long because of the reputation. Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 was literally set in a haunted house they made based on the restaurant. A company that can only continue making profit making a haunted attraction based on the horrific tragedies that took place in their establishments would not go on to continue making very successful multi-level MALL SIZED attractions in the future. Does nobody care that every single building this company has made, people have been horrifically murdered in? specifically children? To put it plainly, SB’s restaurant would’ve never existed in the first place. The modern setting alongside the crappy lore being added to the plot completely ruins the feeling of Security Breach. The characters we’ve all grown to love and the setting and timeline thats held the story together have been detached and destroyed. Nothing is holding SB to the FNAF franchise besides its tiny additions to the lore. Oh great, William is back from hell? For shits and gigs?
To sum it all up, I miss that straight out of 2014 feel that FNAF games 1-4 clung onto so well, but it’s been ruined and I don’t think it’s gonna get any better. Let’s all pray that the movie is set STRICTLY in the universe of the first few games, because I stg.
(I love fnaf. This definitely may have made me seem like I don’t but I 100% do and could sit down and give you the entire lore in about 20 minutes. This is just the harsh truth)

Nostalgia of Disney really got me so i decided wait how about story of how El and Asherah visited Lucifer. I've been wanting to see more Disney movie ish but hazbin hotel and Disney didn't do it for me so the only thing i can do is watching the old Disney movie. So i write inspired disneyish story
Just like the scene from princess and the frog where Tiana showing her mother the place she want her restaurant to be. Lucifer show El and Asherah the place where his own kingdom can be created just by him. Hell is empty wasteland in the nutshell, the typical Disney movie underdog story. Lucifer the dreamer being mocked and rejected by angels around him even God. So he left heaven got married to lilith and lived asherah & El. There he want to build an empire the place where he can be the circus ringleader. He want to build a circus. When he showing it to asherah and El, asherah remark
Asherah : I want some grandkids
Lucifer : That just gotta wait for a while
Lucifer get along very well with his gods sibling. He and El are even have more better relationship than with God. El despite being Lucifer stepfather consider him to be his true father. He and baal are getting really close, the only sibling he consider closed is samael. Asherah El Baal Samael Lilith are his support system. It wasn't easy to fight for his dream but Lucifer Made it he even manage to convince other angel to follow him joining his empire. Lilith who sisters didn't have any place to go convince her sisters to join too. Lilith also convince astarte and dagon to join too at first they are not really sure but after some persuasion they decided to join in. When God visit hell asherah and El didn't like that at all
El : I didn't care about about your rules or your plan i care about my son
Asherah : You always being too harsh on Lucifer
I love it.
