MALCONNOR HEADCANONS I FELL DOWN A RABBITHOLE WHEEE

As much as Connor loves it when Malcolm is serious and distinguished, he loves it more when he lets his walls down and acts like a teenager. When he laughs really hard at a joke Leo’s just told, without hiding his smile with a hand or his shirt collar. When his cheeks are all puffed out like a chipmunk because he’s just shoved half a peanut butter sandwich in his mouth. When Annabeth bestows upon him a pink feathery boa and he’s dancing around the Athena cabin with his siblings, singing along to the Disney Hercules soundtrack, spinning the littles around. Every time Connor sees a moment like that, he falls more in love

Speaking of singing!! They’re both actually decent lol but Malcolm is better— it’s not uncommon to wander past these idiots at any given point in the day and hear them singing some cheesy Disney duet shit like they’re already married

It’s been said before but the Hermes cabin is narrowly beating the Athena cabin for Best Zombie Apocalypse Survival Plan and Connor DOES NOT LET MALCOLM FORGET IT

Connor is more openly flirty, but it’s so easy to get him to blush Malcolm barely has to try

7.) What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Uhhhh I tend towards fluff but maybe Kitchen Friends has the biggest hurt-to-comfort arc?

8.) Do you get hate on fics? Not on my fics! I'll get hate comments on my agere art sometimes, and on my Hazbin Hotel content occasionally, but that's it. Never on AO3, I don't think.

9.) Do you write smut? Not on this blog!

10.) Craziest crossover? The first fic I ever published on my main AO3 account was a Supernatural/Sherlock/RPF crossover: I was forced to make an AO3 account to post it because ff.net didn't allow actor fics. It's still up on my account, but I can't say I recommend it lol

12.) Have you ever had a fic translated? Hmmmmm I think my Sanders Sides content was translated into Russian at one point, but none of my agere content.

13.) Have you co-written a fic before? Only once, and it was on ff.net, and it was with my grade nine girlfriend.

14.) All-time favorite ship? Destiel, Valduggery, and Lawlight are my top 3 OTPs, in that order.

15.) What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? My reader and Hannibal fic!!!!! I want to finish it SO BAD but it never works when I try and work on it!!

16.) What are your writing strengths? Character development, combining dialogue and action to make a full picture of a scene, keeping dialogue mostly in-character.

17.) What are your writing weaknesses? Consistency, sentence variety, typically boring introductions and ending to my stories.

18.) Thoughts on dialogue in another language? Not really sure what this one is asking: I feel nervous writing in other languages because I'm only semi-bilingual in French, so anything else would be a google translate mess: I typically just italicize the dialogue and "translate" it into English.

19.) First fandom you wrote in? Skulduggery Pleasant: my first fic was a death/whump fic based on My Immortal by Evanescence and I wrote it on my ipod touch while I was backstage at a dance contest that I'd already performed my part in, in 2009, at the tender age of 11.

20.) Favorite fic you've written? Oh! Um, probably Heading Home Again. It's not an agere fic but it's T-rated and it's a fanfiction about fusion in the Marvel universe. It holds up when I reread it! My favourite agere fic I've written might be Something Wrong, to be honest.

i had the weirdest dream last night where my friend introduced me to terraria so i started playing terraria but in first person n then gradually it became real life, n then i came across this big evil castle in the ocean n in the ocean there was the titanic but instead of it being shipped from england it was being shipped from russia. n on the side it said something to do w lgbt pride which makes NO SENSE cuz russia is like anti lgbt. so i decided to jump on the ship n murder all the security (BRUTALLY) before jumping off the ship n deciding to scratch the sides w the pride stuff on it which caused the ship to not sink but it like ??? crashed ??? into nothing ??? the passengers survived n stuff n also there were protestors in the ocean complaining abt how the ship was all pro-lgbt when russia was not so it was like,,, they’re protesting abt russia lying. n then it turns out the captain of the ship was the king of russia ??? for sum reason ??? n the princess of russia wanted me to come on the ship to have a chat n i was like “fuck nah i’m not getting my ass beat” n i swam away. n then i was all over the news as this like, criminal in russia n that if spotted i was 2 be taken to the king of russia or the princess of russia immediately. i was like a vigilante to the citizens but a war criminal to the royal family lol. anyway the next day in the dream i was strolling down this like, muddy medieval looking street which was right next to the ocean n all around me ppl were talking abt “the titanic event” n whatevs n also the titanic pulled up to the shore except it was all smokey n ruined n i found it rly funny lol. n then a carriage was coming down the street n it had the princess in except she was less mean n kinda nicer n whatever n she started chasing after me but she kinda let me go becuz i was fast af booiii. but then i blinked n i ended up in a castle which was probably the russia castle n i had 2 escape becuz the princess n king were looking for me. also there were other princesses in there like ??? the disney princesses. but there was jus the one prince LMAO. anyway uhhh i had several options on tryin to escape but they were 2 many close calls so eventually i decided to take the ariel way out. as in. ariel, the little mermaid. yea she jus lived in the castle for sum reason n also she was a lesbian n had a crush on the princess of russia which kinda makes sense as 2 y the princess wasn’t so bad i think she’s like. secretly pro-lgbt. anyway so ariel helped me escape n then i went n lived in a minecraft jungle n the princess n ariel joined me n then eventually u turned up n we created a society in the minecraft jungle the end.

Holy shit i wish i had these sorta dreams... anyway the closest to this dream is prolly the one where i somehow was batman/bbatman's right hand arm man and it was a dc/marvel/Danny Phantom crossover in some villain party dungeon infiltration. Dani spoke RSL for some reason

Yeah the cw superhero lore was incredibly out of pocket! Yeah like the crossover episodes were my favorite ones but they did not fit in with the rest of the shows.

Yeah it was... definitely something. But hey, I survived, so it's all good. It isn't even the most out of pocket thing i experienced in school. My junior high and high school experience was very much like bad 13 Reasons Why fanfiction. In addition to both shootings, there was the attempted r*pe (not against me, but I got involved to help the victim), the dead guy, tutoring a gangster, the alcoholism, the attempted unaliving, the mental illness, the crazy math teacher who accused me of being posessed by a demom... i have hella stories to tell. And thank you! I'm glad I survived too. And thank you again. Mom and I are really close.

yeah they're making a disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again. Most of the original cast is coming back. But there's conflicting reports on whether or not it'll be good. Apparently foggy won't be a big part of it? Which is a shame.

If i do, which is rare, I do just default to google translate but always with a note in the chapter to let the reader know there could be discrepancies because of that, and I include the rough translation/what I meant it to say.

while Gamora should have been a guardian by default imo, isn't it weird that she isn't on merch as the female lead?

I don't know all the rules and regs but I can't think it's normal, in more recent years at least, to be so visibly cut out like this. If it was one or two instances I might find it reasonable. But she's missing from almost everything. Kraglin has more visibility and that's pretty insulting to Gamora by comparison of importance to the franchise, prominence in the Avengers crossover movies and let's be real her character is more recognizable. It's just not right

on a different note I appreciate everything you said about Gamora and Nebula being sisters and how their relationship doesn't get the recognition it deserves. Thanos tried so hard to break them both and they didn't let him. He tried to poison how they saw eachother and they overcame that. The relationship has the tension, conflict, love and healing that people in fandom usually eat up with a spoon. I'm not here for anyone ignoring that in favor of thinking one of them would try to take love from the other or ever want to. I'll never be on the side of two abuse victims being reduced to competition. They both survived a nightmare and one lost more than anyone ever should. Nothing should ever undermine that. If marvel wanted to make a movie just about them I'd be all in, only I don't want marvel to touch Gamora, or any of the guardians really, ever again. I don't know what it says when I both want to see more of characters i love but also would rather never see them again.

this comment got me thinking and honestly like cast formality and billing aside, just looking at story only...i don't even think gamora is rly the female lead in vol 3. it's nebula.

and look, this movie honestly made me rly LOVE nebula in a way i hadn't before and i'm rly satisfied with where her character got to go. like at least in all the bullshit that happened in gamora land, nebula got to actually thrive in this franchise more than i would've expected 9 years ago. and i think that's rly cool! but it sucks that we couldn't get here while also maintaining gamora's original place in the gotg family and like her overall arc. but i think if anyone was The Female Lead in this movie, it was nebula before it was gamora.

i also haven't looked at the new merch a ton admittedly, outside of my fruitless search for a cute loungefly bag with the whole team. i DID however go to california adventure 2 months ago and downtown disney a little over a month ago when marketing on social media for vol 3 was definitely happening, and i was surprised to see that there wasn't like...more gotg stuff? i might've been too early for the like character actors to be out and about (it was just a month-ish after quantumania's release, so the ant-fam characters were still hanging out, tho i only saw scott when i went), but even merch-wise they didn't seem to have more gotg stuff than usual both times i went to the stores in march and april. (i mostly saw rocket and groot stuff. like bitch i would have bought gotg ears and they only had groot. come on) so i honestly don't even know what the full merch situation in big box stores is lol cuz it sure was abysmal at disney, the actual source 💀 does gamora even have a vol 3 funko yet?

but also on the topic of merch and scarcity...i just want to highlight the one (1) piece of official merch i own that features both natasha AND gamora...and it's LITERALLY FROM DISNEY INFINITY LIKE 😭 NOT EVEN MCU 😭😭😭

so yeah idk what the deal is with mcu merch but they are literally allergic to their original female leads but mostly gamora 🥴 at this point my only hope for merch is an adult sized gotg uniform costume i can buy during halloween season. please. 🙏🏼🕯️

and lastly to your point on gamora and nebula's relationship - i completely agree!!! and it sucks having fav characters you'd love to see again but also are dreading seeing again....at this point i am just hoping to run on what if...? s2 and vibes

1. Hold Me Through the Darkness — Loki gets sick on the Statesman and nearly dies (one of my most popular fics and I still don’t know why but I’m flattered anyway)

2. Even Now Do You Love Me? — Loki gets sick on the Statesman (again) and has to deal with his perception of his Jotunn heritage (Another one that surprised me. I guess I’m not the only fan of sickfics lol)

3. Will You Rescue Me? — ah yes my Loki gets drunk and changes the course of the multiverse by telling Thor about Thanos fic. I still have a soft spot for this one

4. Die A Hero or Live Long Enough to be Whumped (Febuwhump 2023) — a collection of whumpy LU ficlets that were great fun to write

5. You Are the Worst, Brother — Loki and Thor reunite post-Infinity War (this is one of my first fics ever posted. I’m a bit embarrassed of it 😅)

I definitely try to! But usually I end up not. Although I love comments and treasure every single one lack of time, lack of spoons, or just plain thinking I replied when I haven't yet all mean more often than not I either don't reply at all or reply embarassingly late. I want to get better at replying though!

Ooh that’s tough. I’m gonna say it’s a toss up between two mcd Time-centric fics I wrote — this one inspired by @1caru ‘s art and this one inspired by @krissis-averted ‘s art

15. What’s the wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Besides the countless wips crying out for attention from Google docs? Probably any and all longfics. I can easily lose motivation or get scared that I’m completely incapable of handling that big of a plot. So they’re always in danger of being avoided. I’m trying to get better at pushing through those fears and insecurities though

16. What are your writing strengths?

Descriptions! I LOVE describing things. Feelings, surroundings, expressions — you name it. And some lovely people have said I’m good at it which means a lot 😊

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Ugh GRAMMAR. It’s like the math of writing. No matter how many guides I look at and examples I try to emulate I still struggle with it so much. My brain just does not get it for some reason.

Also fight scenes and transitions. Those are both very difficult too

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I’ve never tried it before but I think it would be cool! I don’t have any languages I speak well though so I’d have to actually get proficient in one first 😅

19. First fandom you wrote for?

If we’re talking published fics then Marvel. If we’re talking fics I wrote on notebook paper as an eleven year old who didn’t even realize she was writing fanfic (and creating an au/multichap fix-it-fic lol)…then Disney’s Cars lol

20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?

Oh that’s hard. Umm I’m definitely partial to some of my whumptober and febuwhump fics. But as for my favorite I’d say Drive a Man Mad. It was my first time writing FD and I adore Time and Warriors’ relationship. Exploring both FD’s range and their brotherhood was a lot of fun and very self indulgent. I reread it a lot.

1. How many works do you have on A03?

18 as of a few days ago!

2. What's your total A03 word count?

60,763! Which is. Only a fraction of the word count in my Docs folder. Be prepared.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

I mainly write for The Legend of Zelda; specifically Linked Universe! In fact, that's all that's posted on my Ao3 currently, since my fall into that fandom began with me uploading there! Pre-Ao3 I wrote for Black Cat (Anime/Manga), Megaman NT Warrior, various Pokémon things, Assassin's Creed, Yugioh, Final Fantasy XIV and Octopath Traveler! Some of these I still write privately, but I haven't gotten around to re-posting any.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

Whistling on Deaf Ears - My longest fic on Ao3, focusing on Wild and Twilight's friendship and how good intentions can lead to disaster.

Iconoclasm - Warriors deals with the room full of portraits in Cia's palace. The Chain also deals with it, but with a bit more fire.

Deserving - Twilight finally tells Rusl that he was the wolf in the village during TP, but that also means dealing with some heavier topics. Colin half overhears them and forms his own conclusions.

Something Greater - The start of the "Hyrule can see magical auras" series! In this one we deal with Legend and his many rings.

Ocean Magic - Mermaid Legend and Zora Time have a race and then fight one of the Big Octos from WW! Fun times.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Every single one!! I love comments, they give me an excuse to ramble about my fic more!! I am always down to ramble about every single insignificant detail of any line and/or section. If you ever want more background info about one of my fics, look to the comments! So please, I adore comments, I treat them like treasures, not responding to them would be a CRIME.

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

There's no contest; Inevitable, my (so far) only MCD fic.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Hmmm, that's hard to quantify. I usually try to end fics on a hopeful note regardless. I'd say possibly either Deserving, where Twilight reconnects with his family, or Shimmering Blue, Striking White, where Time meets the Fierce Deity settled down on Satori Mountain and they both get closure.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Thankfully, no! I've been blessed with mostly amazing and patient readers, even when my upload schedule isn't the best.

9. Do you write smut?

No, not really. I've attempted it, but I'm too asexual for it lol

10. Do you write crossovers?

Very, very rarely. Mostly privately, and only very specific ones. Only a single one has had an actual plot, so far (more on that one in question 15!).

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Nope!

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Also a nope! I tend to write for smaller fandoms, where these things don't tend to happen a lot!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I have! But it's been a while. Over a decade, in fact! I tried to find the fic to link it here, but it was on the German fanfic website fanfiktion.de, and my friend who posted it back then must have deactivated her account, because it's nowhere to be seen (I still have the Word file though!). It was a Multi-Crossover that started as an RP in a forum, and we took turns turning the RP into prose one chapter each. "If a Hero Turns to Dark" was its title. We were edgy teenagers.

14. What's your all-time favourite ship?

Hissssss. Bad question. Shoo. They are all equally important!! But it's probably TenRose from Doctor Who.

15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

One of the very few crossovers I've ever worked on; a crossover fic between Assassin's Creed and Doctor Who, that I have mapped out in both chronological and timeline order, and yes, those are different. I only ever wrote about a quarter of it, since my primary audience of it disappeared when we graduated. I doubt I'll ever pick it back up properly, and if I do it'll probably go through heavy rewrites first since it's so old. Finishing it is a nice thought, but realistically, after 9 years it'll never be high priority enough for it to actually happen.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue, especially arguments, and emotional impact. I've been told I do really well making characters feel alive and believable! Also I like to believe I'm decent at setting a scene and giving it the vibe I want it to have!

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I struggle with dialogue tags when nothing much is happening besides the talking. I always feel it's too bland, and fall back on the same phrases. My scene transitions could use some work too.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I've done this with Japanese phrases, because I was a massive weeb. Usually I followed them up with their own translations, though; I'm not the biggest fan of footnote translations, unless they are properly linked to. Simple dialogue tags are my favourite way of indicating a language switch.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Black Cat the Manga/Anime! It's a series about an assassin turned bounty hunter trying to live a life separate from his murdery past, but getting dragged back into things by still wanting to avenge his best friend's death. The series has a special place in my heart and my bookshelf, it left an imprint on 13-year-old me that will never leave.

20. Favourite fic you've ever written?

Probably Jailbreak, uncharacteristically enough! It's one of the only fics I never got stuck in once. Writing it was a great feeling from start to finish. I love writing all of my fics, but that was a special few days.
