Hampir seluruh karya orisinil Diskoria, hadir di masa sulit yang kita lewati bersama, dalam kurun waktu kurang lebih dua tahun lamanya. Kini perlahan keadaan membaik, masa pandemi mulai menghilang, sebuah karya siap disajikan kembali oleh Diskoria dan Laleilmanino. Kali ini, sebuah lagu kolaborasi bersama Bunga Citra Lestari (BCL). Meramu sebuah anthem akhir pandemi dengan merespon mahakarya album terbaik sepanjang masa versi Majalah RollingStone Indonesia, Badai Pasti Berlalu, dengan judul “Badai Telah Berlalu”. Merdi dan Aat dari Diskoria, menggambarkan “Badai Telah Berlalu” sebagai persembahan sekaligus rasa syukur terhadap masa sulit yang sudah terlewati. Salah satu karya Diskoria yang bertempo medium, mengajak kita berkontemplasi dan mengingatkan diri sendiri bahwa semua akan baik-baik saja. “Badai Telah Berlalu” digarap dalam kurun waktu 6 bulan terakhir, hingga selesainya proses syuting video klip yang digarap oleh Gianni Fajri dan Bagoes Tresna Aji bersama tim Miura Films. Bukan hal baru bagi Diskoria untuk kembali mempercayakan Gian dan Bagoes dalam menggarap sisi visual dari lagu mereka, Gian dan Bagoes jugalah yang menggarap video klip hits mereka “C.H.R.I.S.Y.E”. Kali ini, mereka coba menggambarkan kehangatan keluarga yang bisa kembali berkumpul melalui pemeran-pemeran dalam video tersebut. Into the stuff that he find rather interested for— Music.

The essential of music is a huge part of my life ever since I was a little. Both parents of mine including other family-line introduced me to a lot of media consume, one thing that I recall by heart is the way they introduce music as a charmer of one’s persona. Though I do not want to specifically mention any genre(s), for I believe every music deserves to be listened and respected along the way, I find myself rather drawn into the idea of old songs. Such artists as Carpenters, The Beatles, The Lovin’ Spoonful, Queen, Bee Gees, My Chemical Romance, and George Benson captivated me in a way that I hardly able to explain, except that perhaps I am indeed an old soul, embarking the old musics before I seize or end the day.

If you’re thinking my capability of listening to music just stop in specific era only, well, you definitely think wrong. I do listens to any sort of classical music or instrumental version of any songs that I mostly stumble upon through my YouTube recommendation, however I do need to mention that recent musicians (again, no specific genre mentioned), or one that people heard these days are actually my forte too! Not semi-forte, not piano solely, but forte (do you get the reference?). I tried to update myself with new artists and new songs at the end of the day, but specifically consider artists such as Joji, Warren Hue, NIKI, Keshi, Taylor Swift, Post Malone, Maroon 5, Måneskin, Lauv, Wave to Earth, Sunset Rollercoaster, Rex Orange County, Conan Gray, and Troye Sivan as the ones that I consider as my fam, in the tree of musics, if you get what I meant.

I have to say over a decade K-POP has grown stronger than ever with me. Thus, specific groups or soloists such as BOYNEXTDOOR, SEVENTEEN, WOODZ, Red Velvet, TREASURE, RIIZE, Kiss of Life, DAY6, Jannabi, etc. are ones that I rhyme everyday for. The idea of KHH/KRNB/K-INDIE also allows me to feel the attachment, so you can find me engaging with Colde, Dean, Simon Dominic, Woojae, OOHYO, Bang Yedam, Standing Egg, etc. I am sure these listed musicians are one that close by your heart too, my friends.

I believe as much as how the influence of Western and Korean artists have shaped me into who I am today, I will never forget the root, my mother language at most. Thus, with an open heart I say from the moment I exist in this world to where I am by now, Indonesian musicians and songs has leave a big, big part in my solace of heart. Surely they bring their own beauteous and warm choice of words, embarking my day and allow me to fall in love at the first sight with their mere presence. This session took forever than I realize as I am in fact trying to dress-to-impress, or show a genuine respect that I have within the presence of music. I believe music has changed—and still, adaptively, changing my life from time to time, allowing me to enjoy every bits of it. I’m sure if there are more than 10 artists I’ve mentioned above suits your liking, we could be an acquaintance, best friend at last, or a life time partner of spotify session I daresay!

Malam tadi, aku dan teman-teman mengguncang halaman Mangkunegaran dengan lompatan kami. Musik Diskoria mengerubungi telinga kami, mencipta sorai yang tak bisa ditolak oleh mahasiswa (yang mengaku) seni dengan depresi tak berkesudahan.

Malam tadi, ada sepasang manusia di hadapanku. Yang perempuan menikmati tiap alunan musik, seolah ia menelan tiap-tiap nada balok yang melayang. Yang lelaki, sibuk merekam momen itu—sambil sesekali merekam perempuannya. Mereka tertawa, tampak amat bahagia. Mungkin itu akan menjadi salah satu mahia memoar mereka nanti.

Persis seperti apa yang pernah kita lakukan, ketika Nadin Amizah menyampaikan ramuan nyanyian kepadaku, kepada kita. Aku sibuk bernyanyi dengan lantang dengan derai air mata, sedang kamu merekam semuanya dengan kamera ponsel.
