Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor will star in a love story from Maddock Films.

It appears that both producer Dinesh Vijan and actor Siddharth Malhotra are searching for a change of pace. Vijan has made a name for himself in the comedy-horror genre with Stree 2 and Munjya, while Sidharth Malhotra has struggled with action.

Sidharth Malhotra has had enough of action for the time being. After Yodha, he left another action picture, Mitti, and signed a love story with producer Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films. Tushar Jalota, who directed Abhishek Bachchan in Dasvi, will direct the untitled project, which will also star Janhvi Kapoor. Stree 2 to Release in 2024, Know the Date, Cast, and Other Details Here

Stree 2 is going to be a reality soon as Jio Studios has already announced a sequel to Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree in a grand event held in Mumbai. The announcement followed after the actors performed hilariously a play on the stage, entertaining the audience. And then the markers said that the most-awaited Stree 2 will be released on 31 August 2024.

A video is going viral on the internet. It is from the event as the play is seen being performed by the entire cast of Stree 2 comprising Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurrana, Shraddha Kapoor, and Abhishek Banerjee. They announced the sequel to the movie after enacting some of the popular scenes of Stree. The announcement was also quite dramatic.

The event was glamorized by Aparshakti Khurrana in a dark blue suit, Rajkumar Rao in a white shirt and green suit, Pankaj Tripathi in a black shirt with a blue scarf, and Abhishek in a pastel-shade outfit. Shraddha Kapoor wore a side-slit red sequined lehenga-saree. Stree can go on floors by mid of this year, June 2023. Jio Studios said that they will release more than 100 web series and films along with sequels to Bhediya and Stree.

They will also associate with popular filmmakers such as Raj Kumar Hirani, Sooraj Barjatiya, and Ali Abbas Zafar. And also with Amar Kaushik, Dinesh Vijan, Laxman Utekar, Prakash Jha, and Aditya Dhar. Multiple genres will be looked into by the directors. The web series as well as the films will see a release in different languages such as Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, and Bhojpuri.

Some of the movies in the pipeline are Bhul Chuk Maaf starring Kartik Aaryan and Shraddha Kapoor, and Bloody Daddy starring Kirti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor. Then there is Amitabh Bachchan starrer Section 84.

On August 14, Bollywood Hungama was the first to reveal that the Akshay Kumar-starring film Sky Force would not be released in theaters on October 2 as planned. As expected, the revelation sparked speculation about the film's new release date - will it be later this year or next year?

Bollywood Hungama has discovered that the producers have set a release date for Sky Force. According to our source, "Sky Force" will be released in theaters on January 24, 2025. It will be released on Republic Day, which is an appropriate time to present it to viewers as a patriotic entertainer. "An official announcement will follow soon."

There were rumors that Sky Force's promotion will be tied to the Independence Day release, Stree 2. This is because, like Sky Force, Stree 2 is produced by Jio Studios and Maddock Films. The highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 horror-comedy hit, Stree 2, is currently filming and promises to captivate audiences once again. While the core cast of Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee are returning, they will be joined by Tamannaah Bhatia for a dance number.

A report by News18 Showsha quotes a source saying, “Tamannaah Bhatia will be featuring in a song in Stree 2. It’s an upbeat dance number that will be as catchy as 'Kamariya.' The shoot for the same has already been done.”

The source further added, “With several hit songs in her kitty, the makers of Stree 2 felt that Tamannaah was the right fit for the song. Rajkummar Rao will be a part of the song, and the duo will be seen sharing screen space for the first time.” However, neither the actress nor the makers have confirmed the news, as of now. 

Having said that, it is worth mentioning here that Tamannaah recently grabbed the attention of many with her stellar performance in Jailer’s track ‘Kaavaalaa’.
