WHAT DOES A COPYWRITER DO?
What does a copywriter actually do? Well. Even for a copywriter it is not so easy to describe 1.. 2.. 3...
And that while you get the question quite often. Family. friends. Your friend, wondering how to actually tell her family and friends what her boyfriend does for a living.
That's because exactly what a copywriter does depends a lot on where he does it. The company or organization he works for, I mean.
But maybe I'm going a bit too fast. Below I will try step by step to explain to you in detail what a copywriter does for his money.
 What does a copywriter do?
A copywriter writes copy, or text. That's (by far) the simplest definition I can give you of what a copywriter does.
A little bland perhaps, but it is what it is.
In a slightly more comprehensive definition, you could say that a copywriter specializes in creating clear, persuasive content that can achieve a certain goal.
That goal can be to sell a product or service, but also to inform or amuse an intended target group . It can be texts for a flyer, a single sentence that immediately grabs the attention in an advertisement. So what a copywriter does can be very different depending on what the employer or client needs.
Yet there are a number of skills that are useful to have, or activities that actually always come back.
That's why I'm going to try to summarize the average profile of a copywriter below.
How can you become a copywriter?
Anyone with a good sense of language and text can become a copywriter. It helps if you have completed a course in language or communication, but the most important thing is a smooth pen.
Or a smooth keyboard of course. You get the point.
In fact, anyone who is able to write entire sentences can become a copywriter. You can now literally make an appointment with the Chamber of Commerce to register and take on assignments as a freelancer.
Becoming a good copywriter is a whole different story. For that you need something from the profile sketch that I have tried to put together for you below.
The profile of a (good) copywriter in 3 characteristics and core tasks
As I wrote before, anyone who has learned to write can in principle become a copywriter. You do need a little more than that to earn a good living with it.
Whether you want to do that as a freelancer and need assignments, or as a copywriter in paid employment and therefore have to perform satisfactorily.
Below you will find a number of activities that you will have to deal with as a copywriter.
1. Writing
Well, the most important job of a copywriter is writing. That can be anything, just what your employer or client needs.
Copy, text, content: these are three terms that are often used interchangeably and essentially mean the same thing. Here and there a distinction is made between content (informs or inspires, often longer articles) and copy (incites to action, usually shorter pieces or even a few sentences), but in practice it can all end up on the copywriter's plate.
Of course, as a copywriter you (usually) have a specialization. One is good at longer blogs that answer a specific question, while the other is better at short promotional texts that encourage a target group to take action.
A selection of what you can write as a copywriter:
(SEO)     blogs
Professional     articles
Landing     pages for a website
Ebooks
Posts     for social media
Ads
Emails
Product     Descriptions
Press     releases
Etc.
In fact, as a copywriter you can contribute to every aspect of a company that involves text.
Enneh, an important part of writing is also daring to delete, so you have to be able to look critically at your own works.
 2. Determine planning and strategy
Of course you won't get there by ranting like a blind man on your keyboard. There is now so much communication and writing that there must be a thought behind it.
An important factor in whether or not content is successful is the content strategy behind it. It considers the type of content that will be created, the target audience to be reached with it, and the best ways to share and promote the content.
It is not essential to contribute to this as a copywriter. Many companies have a separate content strategist or content marketer who focuses on that strategy.
But it is certainly an added value if you as a copywriter can think along in this or be a sparring partner. This not only increases your added value, but also broadens your career options.
3. Shameless Self-Promotion
Perhaps the best thing you can do as a copywriter to make your money is promote yourself.
This applies to freelancers (who, after all, have to win assignments), but also to salaried copywriters.
Then it is important that you show your value, that you know how to sell ideas that you have to your manager and/or your team members or that you - if you apply for a new position - know how to convince that you are really in a better position. are able to form sentences than the other candidates.
The latter may sound a bit derogatory, but it is the hard truth. As a copywriter, it can be quite difficult to distinguish yourself. It helps to build a good portfolio , but being able to sell yourself is also important.
I myself have always found that to be one of the most difficult parts, but I am slowly but surely starting to shed the hesitation.
Want to learn more about copywriting. You can learn from the best digital marketing institute in Udaipur. And we assure that our course is all you need to learn everything about digital marketing.

Using Pinterest for business for your business
In this article I would like to share a number of steps that will help you to more success and results on Pinterest. Pinterest is growing and there is a good chance that your target audience is present on Pinterest. Why use Pinterest for business? Find out why that's a good idea in this article.
You probably want more visitors to your website, greater brand awareness and more sales! This is possible with Pinterest, although the approach is completely different than you are used to from the "socials".
Opportunities for your business on Pinterest
The opportunities for entrepreneurs like you are huge on Pinterest. Especially if your company is in one of the following categories. Be it with a webshop, it be with a blog and certainly when you have enough content to share!
In those cases, using Pinterest for business is a no-brainer in my opinion!
·       Food, food and recipes
·       Baby, Child and Parenthood
·       Travel
·       Marriages and weddings
·       Living and interior
·       Beauty and fashion
·       DIY, crafts and education
·       Health, sports and fitness
·       Photography
·       Growth and development
·       Almost all topics if you have a blog, because blogging and Pinterest are a perfect match!
How do you use Pinterest for business?
Start with these 2 tips for a kick-start on Pinterest. Then read the step-by-step plan.
Tip 1
Do you want to make optimal use of all Pinterest possibilities? Then you have to work with a business account . Create it or convert your private account into a business account.
Tip 2
Using Pinterest for business including a strategy for more results and success
One thing is certain, it is never a one-size-fits-all approach. Because every company has its own goals, target group and content.
On Pinterest it is important to distinguish yourself and to know what works and what doesn't. Copying a strategy from another company doesn't make much sense. You don't know the objectives, content and budget.
And just like with other marketing activities, it is a matter of trying, adjusting, viewing statistics and then moving on from there. To make it easy for you, I have included the super handy step-by-step plan for setting up a good strategy that suits your company.
The 7 steps to use Pinterest for business
1.      What do you want to achieve with Pinterest?
2.      Do you know your target audience? If not, determine who your specific target audience is.
3.      Know what a perfect pin for Pinterest must meet.
4.      Who will keep track of Pinterest Marketing for your business on a daily basis?
5.      Know which keywords fit your company and what you want to be found for.
6.      Do you have a budget for your Pinterest marketing?
7.      Is there anyone who understands Pinterest's statistics and can compare them to Google analytics for more insight?
Step 1
What are your goals with using Pinterest?
·       Brand awareness
·       More traffic to your website
·       Higher conversions/sales
·       Better findability in Google
·       Grow email list
·       More involvement with your company
·       Or maybe all
If you have your goals clear, you can create pins that ensure that you achieve your goals!
Step 2
Do you know your target audience?
If you have properly mapped out who your target group is, you can determine what the needs and problems of your target group are. By means of Pins on Pinterest you will help them, positively influence them and give them inspiration.
In short, be helpful and give inspiration on Pinterest. Be the solution to a problem!
Step 3
Do you know what a perfect pin must meet?
·       Attractive footage
·       Vertical Dimension
·       Text overlay to give more context
Step 4
Who will track Pinterest marketing for your business. Pinterest needs daily attention. Pinterest's algorithm is designed in such a way that active users are more visible. Fortunately, it can be done quickly and easily by using, for example, a planner. (Tailwind is a good one for this).
With my training courses I teach entrepreneurs how to work with a maximum of 2 hours a week. Plan weeks ahead and be visible on Pinterest daily.
Being consistent is key to a successful Pinterest account
Step 5
Know which keywords fit your company and what you want to be found for. This part is often skipped but is the most important thing on Pinterest.
Pinterest is a search engine, so the use of keywords is essential!
People search Pinterest and type in a combination of words they are looking for in the search bar. Exactly like with Google.
If you've typed in keywords on Pinterest, Pinterest will show you all kinds of images related to this topic. How nice is it if these are your images, your pins with a reference to your website!
Step 6:
Do you have a marketing budget? Make room for Pinterest too. Hire a Pinterest expert for a training, advice or workshop. For example, outsource the management. Let a marketing department take care of it or do it yourself!
There are several options, see what suits you and your budget. You can come a long way yourself, which can be done quickly and easily with handy tools and tips. Pinterest can be a huge boost for your business for free.
Step 7:
Does anyone understand Pinterest's stats? Who dives monthly into the statistics of both Pinterest and Google analytics and maybe even Tailwind (the Pinterest planner) to view the data.
You can get a lot of information from these statistics. Based on this, you can adjust, change and fine-tune your strategy.
Using Pinterest for business in a nutshell
Take a good look at all the steps and don't forget to download my checklist. This is the basis of a good business Pinterest account.
Set your goals and stick with a strategy for at least a few months.
Why?
Pinterest is a long-term marketing tool. Don't immediately expect mass traffic and mega high sales numbers. Pins take time and Pinterest's algorithm needs to start discovering your activity.

4 tips for a strong Instagram strategy
Do you find it difficult to provide your Instagram page with content? Is it a mess of posts and you keep getting hit with the question 'what should I post now'?
By answering the 4 questions below you will have set up an Instagram strategy in no time and it will be easier to fill it with content every week. Let's start!
Question 1: What is your goal with Instagram?
Before you start with Instagram, it is important to have your goal clear. Why do you actually want to use Instagram? What do you hope to achieve? It is a misconception that you have to be present on every social media channel. Only use Instagram if it also fits your marketing strategy. The same goes for Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and LinkedIN. Only use these channels if your target audience can be found here and these media help you achieve your goal.
Our goal with Instagram is to inspire potential customers in the field of online and offline marketing. We want to show them the possibilities of printed matter and give them tips about the use of communication tools and the marketing idea behind them.
Question 2: Who is your ideal follower?
Some marketers are allergic to unsubscribing from a benchmark, but it does help to clarify who you're writing for. Who should follow you on Instagram? Are they individuals, self-employed, small businesses or..? Provide a rough description of the target audience. Our target group consists of SMEs. They are entrepreneurs who want support with their marketing activities. They don't have the time to design and implement this themselves, so come to us for that.
Question 3: What would this target audience like to see on your page?
You don't use your instagram page to only post messages about birthdays and Friday afternoon drinks. Your target audience has a reason why they follow you. They want something from you. That is exactly the question we want to answer. What does your target audience desire most? The questions below help to map out the desire of your target group.
For which problem or problems are they looking for a solution?
What do you inspire your target audience with?
What is your ESP ( Emotional Selling Point)? An ESP distinguishes you     from your competitors. It indicates which method you use.
How do you convince your target audience?
Why do they listen to you and what makes you the expert?
What is there in your field that you disagree with? What doesn't work     and what do you believe in?
These are a lot of questions, but by answering them you immediately have your first topics.
Question 4: What is your message?
You can have different messages that you want to convey, but you have one core message. Describe these and alternate your message with inspiration and personal stories.
Inspiration can be a blog you've been working on, but it can also be a quote or a learning moment that you want to share. A personal story can be a customer review, a case you've worked on, or a milestone you've reached. Instagram is mainly about showing who you are and adding a personal touch to your posts.
Have you answered all questions? Test your content against the above questions and you will see that your Instafeed will be much more streamlined and that it will be easier to come up with new content.
So…
By answering the questions below, you lay a foundation for your Instagram strategy.
1.       What is your goal with Instagram?
2.       Who is your ideal follower?
3.       What would this target audience like to see on your page?
4.       What is your message?

Generate more visitors to your website
You've had a brand new website made and you're all set: let those customers come!
But actually not much happens. You are waiting for more and new visitors, but they don't come. What went wrong? Is the website not good? Or did you do something wrong?
Launching a website does not mean that your website will automatically attract more visitors. I speak from experience that it is a very important factor, but if your old website did not yield any visitors, a new design will not change that! You will have to help people find you. You do this by increasing the visibility of your site, which is possible with SEO, Social Media, SEA and PR. I would like to explain more about this to you:
Polls of online traffic
More visitors through SEO?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. In concrete terms, SEO means that you are going to optimize to realize more visitors from search engines to your website / webshop / app or platform. Hereby you ensure that your website (pages) provides the answers to questions that people ask in Google.
More visitors via Social Media?
We are all familiar with Social Media: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, you name it. By having a presence on Social Media and using it in the right way, you can get more visitors to your website. Each channel has its own approach, and many platforms are focused on keeping visitors on that platform! You can also choose to generate paid traffic through Social Media Advertising.
More visitors via SEA / Google Ads?
SEA stands for Search Engine Advertising. With this you ensure more visitors to your website, by paying per click to your website. This can be done via Google Ads, or to a lesser extent via BING Ads. With this you quickly and often realize the right visitor to your website. To achieve good results, it is best to work with a freelance SEA specialist.
More visitors through PR?
Finally, you can also work on your reputation, of you as a person or of your company. You ensure that people recognize your brand name and so Google you, for example, and come to your website. You can do this by, for example, writing press releases, entering into partnerships, or writing articles on well-known platforms.
So, do you want to attract more visitors to your website? Then I would be happy to help you with techniques that you can use to increase website traffic to your website:
First the basics to get a website visit
Before you can increase the visitor numbers, you will need to get a few things in order. Many people often forget this step, which results in disappointing results.
The foundation of everything you want to do is your website. This is the place where you create and manage content. And from here you will share things, so that you can increase the visitor numbers. Your website is, as it were, a digital hub of all your material.
So you will have to work on 2 very important things to be ready to attract visitors:
1.      The basis and structure of your website is of high quality to facilitate visitors. This is especially true for SEO and Social. In order to score for search engines like Google, you will need a website that is fast, with good clean code and where the right SEO techniques have already been applied. This is also known as technical SEO . In addition, the website will also have to function properly . This makes it easier for you to write, post and then share content more easily. Without these functions you make it very difficult for yourself.
2.      Your website also needs to convert . You want to achieve something with your website. Whether that is a contact request, more readers of your articles or orders via your webshop. This is especially important for SEA and PR. For SEA, you want the investment in more visitors to yield a return (ROI). Otherwise you are wasting money. For your PR you want your website to convey the right message . And that your website exudes your identity, mission and vision, so that this is consistent with the branding that you propagate elsewhere. If you want to improve this, you will have to hire a conversion specialist.
Now that you know what the basics are (and you've got them in order!) I'm happy to help you with techniques to get more visitors!
Techniques to get more visitors
Based on the 4 parts (SEO, Social Media, SEA and PR) I give you tips and techniques to get started yourself. Of course you don't have to do everything, so choose the points that suit you best. Do you want to start something, but do you lack the knowledge? Then call in a (freelance) specialist who can help you further!
More visitors to your website through SEO
1.      Do a technical check (or have this done)
2.      Check your Google Search Console for keywords
3.      Work on your SEO titles
4.      Create an FAQ
5.      Improve your old Content
6.      Blogging (with a good strategy – like hero hub hygiene)
7.      Improve your landing page experience
8.      Use link building
9.      Bonus: SEO outside your website (video and audio)
1. Do a technical check (or have this done)
Your website is an extremely important vehicle for your SEO to come into its own. Certain technical aspects ensure that your website functions properly to give SEO a chance. Think of things like an SSL connection (fairly old) and more recently speed or even better: core web vitals . Perhaps you don't quite know how to do this yourself, so do you want to do this right? Hire a specialist once or for a longer period of time! Tip: you can get pretty far with WordPress yourself. If you choose another CMS, you will need a good web builder or developer!
2. Check your Google Search Console for keywords
Do you already know Google Search Console? If not, I advise you to look quickly! Here you can view the (current) performance of your website , such as the technical work, but also which keywords you already rank for! Very handy, because often you are not aware of this at all! Here you will find the keywords, the number of clicks to your website, the average position, etc. You can also search the landing pages 1 by 1 and see for which keywords they are ranked. Finally, you can also pass certain settings to Google, such as your XML Sitemap .
Example of your performance over the past 3 months
3. Work on your SEO titles
As a follow-up to point 2, there is immediately a nice hack that you can apply to your SEO landing pages and blogs! You often see in search console that your original page scores for other keywords or keyword combinations than you actually thought of. Or you hadn't taken this into account in the past. So try to change your SEO title based on this date! Of course, don't deviate too much from the original. Has no keyword been found on your page yet? Try changing the intent of your SEO title. Example: I had a page with the keyword SEO . Of course, that's a big and generic keyword. By changing this to Freelance SEO Specialist and slightly adjusting the text, I suddenly ranked!
In addition, you can also improve the SEO title for the CTR . There are many tricks for this, but an aid tool like yoast or rank math will easily assist you with this!
4. Create an FAQ
When you get started with SEO, part of this will focus on information content . That is to say: content that answers an issue or problem of the target group. An FAQ fits in perfectly with this. Here you answer the most frequently asked questions that the target group struggles with. I'll leave it up to you how you do this exactly, there are several ways to do this. The approach depends on your website.
5. Improve your old content
People often start with a content strategy, but set it up purely from new content . Often this is not necessary at all! If you have already written good content in the past, then you (if all goes well) already have a golden source of content that you can improve. They also call this refurbished content. To do this, it is best to take a look at Google Analytics. You then go to the Behavior tab >> Site content or landing pages. Here you will find all pages that are visited. This way you can quickly find blogs that still have traffic, but may already be somewhat outdated. Determine if they need an update, such as SEO copywriting or a content upgrade. This is often much faster than starting from scratch!
6. Start blogging (+ a content strategy)
Do you have little or no content yet? Then blogging is a great start to create more content. You can do this yourself or hire a content creator . Based on your website, you make a list of topics why you want to write more. Make sure that these also fit with your target group and that the articles also match content. This way you can link or refer to each other in the blogs (good for your authority). In addition, work on a content strategy . This means that you write purposefully and set up a strong SEO strategy. For example, you will set up a clear structure and determine what type of content you want to create.
7. Improve your landing page experience (with CRO, among others)
Are the visitors slowly starting to pour in? Or do you send some traffic via eg Google Ads or Social Media to your page for a traffic peak ? Then make sure your user experience of your target group is good! This measures (among other things) Google via Google Analytics, on points such as bounce rate, avg. duration on page and click through rate . It is therefore very important that in addition to answering the question, you also create engagement with your visitors.
You can do this, for example, by incorporating more interactive content into your blog. Think of videos, or calculators in your content. Or offer a suitable download such as a white paper. This is how you involve the target group and work on your own online marketing goals 😉
8. Use link building
A part of your SEO is really building more authority. You can compare this with scientific articles : the more people refer to you as a source and the more often you cite good works, the more important you are and become. Google also uses this principle to distinguish important sources from bad ones. However, the dividing line here is thin, so beware: if you only have (or buy) a lot of poor quality links to your site, then Google will not appreciate this and even penalize it. At the university you will also be regarded as a fraud if you buy this off!
9. Bonus: SEO outside your website (video and audio)
Your website is absolutely the foundation of your SEO. But not everything takes place on your website, and certainly not only in written text. Video and Audio are becoming increasingly important. Think of video SEO via YouTube, with which you provide information about your specialization on video. Or make a nice podcast (or make sure you are interviewed) and post it on channels like Spotify, stitcher or Google/Apple Podcast.

5 ways to maintain your SEO position
Generating a fixed number of visitors is the foundation for any online business. If you don't have visitors, it's impossible to convert them into prospects and potentially long-term customers. Once you've made yourself an authority in the eyes of Google and rewarded with a top position, it's important to stay up to date with the latest trends to maintain this spot. Plus, these tips will also help ensure you're compliant with potential new changes from Google.
1. Update your site
This sounds logical, but it is one of the most common mistakes in internet marketing. Google takes not only the quality of the content high, but also its 'freshness'. So make sure to update your site regularly with new content to maintain your position.
Remember that today it's not all about text. Images and videos are also content that can improve your visitors' experience and may encourage your readers to share the content more quickly.
2. Speed up your site
The loading speed of a website has been included in determining your position in Google for a long time. And yet there are still a lot of sites that don't load quickly, especially on mobile devices. Google even advises that page loading speed should ideally be less than a second. Fortunately, you don't have to be a whiz to make your site faster. Switching to a better hosting provider, compressing images using, for example, TinyPNG and using a so-called content delivery system (CDN) can take seconds off your loading time.
Try the Google PageSpeed Insights tool to see how well you currently rank and where there is still room for improvement.
3. Expand your link building
One of the most common mistakes marketers make is focusing on the quantity rather than the quality of their backlinks.
If you rank highly for a particular keyword, there is no need to create excessive backlinks to that page. Google can detect if a site is collecting links at an unreasonable pace. And too much, too soon is a red flag, which could potentially even get you banned.
Your position can also change if too many links go to a particular page. Google wants visitors to have access to more relevant and useful information than just one article.
So if you want to maintain your position, it is important that incoming links point to multiple pages on your website. By diversifying your link profile, the authority of the overall website will increase and enjoy a better position in Google.
4. Outgoing and Internal Links
It may sound counter-intuitive, but outbound and internal links are just as important for ranking as backlinks. Linking to other high-authority pages helps Google determine the relevance of your site within your niche.
Always make sure to link to external pages that provide valuable and especially relevant content for your readers.
Internal links, for example links to related articles, also help in maintaining your current position. Properly executed, these allow search engines to better understand the content and importance of each page. Moreover, these links keep your reader on your site longer.
As with outbound links, don't overdo it. Adding a plethora of links to existing articles can also backfire.
5. Do more with social media
There is some ambiguity about the value of social media in ranking high in search engine results. However, it is obvious that search engines look at which social media your brand is active on, and can be seen as an authority. Especially because websites like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn all enjoy a high position in Google.
Google will determine the relevance of your website based on links within these networks. The more people share your content, the better your visibility within these social media.
Here are a few quick tips you can use to improve your blog's visibility on social media:
·         Add social media share buttons to your blog posts
·         Use explicit calls-to-actions within your content (think of the “Tweet This” buttons on a text like “Share this article with your friends, click here!”

I don't need to explain that social media is more than just a trend. The vast majority of all companies know that social media is an important marketing tool. Yet there are still many companies that find it difficult to use it in an effective way. That is why I have listed a number of practical tips in this blog.
#1 Formulate goals
It is important to determine in advance what you want to achieve with social media. When are your efforts successful? Several goals you can achieve using social media are:
·       Generate more traffic to the website
·       Generate more leads
·       Generate more customers
Formulate these goals SMART. Make sure you include numbers and a time schedule. In this way it is easy to measure whether you have achieved the desired result.
 #2 Formulate buyer personas
Before you start posting content on social media, it is important to determine your target audience. This is best done in the form of a buyer persona. A buyer persona is a fictitious person who could be your potential customer. Describe his personal characteristics, home situation, education, working day, the problems he encounters in his work, etc. This gives you a complete picture of your potential customer and you know exactly what to post where and when to address him .
Learn more about a buyer persona in our Inbound Marketing Minute below.
#3 Add keywords and a link
If you have formulated the problems that he encounters in his work  for your buyer persona , it is important to link keywords to it. He has a problem and is looking for a solution. Which keywords does he type in? Then play on this. Help him with his solution and use the right keywords in your content. Always include these keywords in social media updates. This is good for the findability of your content.
Always make sure to include a link in your update. You can direct them to the content you want to showcase. This can be an interesting study or a nice blog, but of course also to your own website (provided it is not a disguised advertisement). A link also ensures that you can see exactly how many people have clicked on it. This way you can check which updates are and are not interesting for your followers.
#4 Post visual content
There are several reasons for posting visual content. With an image you can add a feeling or emotion to your update. People are sensitive to that and click more quickly on an update with an image that touches them than on an update with only text.
Videos always work well too. People are busy these days. Time is not always made to read texts, people scan more. A video is easy to click and watch and thus takes less effort than reading a text. In addition, an image or video quickly stands out among other updates.
#5 Post frequent and consistent updates
It is good to determine for yourself how often and when you will post updates on social media. The number of times per week depends on your buyer persona. It is also smart to see if your buyer persona follows many other people and organizations. If that is the case, then you do not stand out too much by posting an update every day. You have to avoid being the only one who can be seen in his timeline with your daily updates.
Consistency is another important focus. This gives people a reason to come back to your blog or to keep an eye on your profile. They know that you have a new update daily or every Monday and Thursday and in the best case they will look forward to that moment.
#6 Post different types of updates
To keep your followers engaged, it's important to post different types of updates. Think of updates with a link to educational content from someone else or from yourself, an offer, a competition or an update on current news.
#7 Ask and answer questions
Social media is the tool to talk to your followers. There is therefore a chance that they will ask questions. It is very good if they seek that interaction; this creates a relationship with them. If your followers ask questions, make sure you answer them. Don't make up your mind to only send via social media. So ask questions yourself. Involve your target audience in your work and listen to their needs. Social media puts you very close to your target audience. Take advantage of this.
#8 Analyze your social media efforts
Ultimately, it is the intention that your efforts yield the desired result. Therefore, analyze whether you see the desired growth in website visitors or the desired growth in leads. By analyzing you keep yourself sharp and you continue to work goal-oriented.

6 tips for business success on Facebook
Does your company already have its own page on Facebook? You can attract many visitors with it and you are in direct contact with your target group. But how do you get the most benefit from this for your startup? You can read that in this checklist: 6 tips for business success on Facebook.
1. Log in to Facebook
Actually more of a condition than a tip. If you're not on Facebook yet, now is the time to do so.
To be able to profile your company, brand or product on this platform, you must have an active profile.
Business page on Facebook
Profiles are for users, pages for organizations, projects and other initiatives, Facebook argues.
You must first have registered personally before a business page can be created at all.
Promotion products and services
Whether you are already a Facebook fan or not: becoming active on this platform has its advantages, because you can immediately use your family, friends and business contacts from your network to promote your products and/or services.
Facebook privacy settings
If you really don't like the fact that business and private life can sometimes get mixed up, you can adjust the privacy settings of their profile as desired and tighten them up if necessary.
Facebook is quite flexible in this regard. If you do not want colleagues and/or customers to see photos of a fun outing with your family, you can easily set this up on your profile.
Update privacy
Tip:
With every update that Facebook makes, the privacy conditions can be adjusted again.
This is also relevant if you use Facebook with your smartphone or tablet. It is therefore smart to check your profile data after every update.
Do you want to keep your business and private administration in order? A business account is free for starting entrepreneurs for the first six months and you can open it in 5 minutes.
2. Create a Business Page
Once you have an active Facebook profile, you can instantly create a business page. Users or other companies and institutions can become 'fans' of this.
Create business page
Go to 'Create page' and click on the icon that applies to your situation. In most cases this will be a company or brand.
You can then further supplement your page with important information and, for example, upload the company logo as an image.
Corporate identity business page
The great thing about such a business page is that you can give this 'profile' approximately the same corporate identity as the style you use on your business website.
This can be done, for example, by adding extra informative and welcome tabs with more information about your products or events that you will be organizing in the near future.
Manage business page
You are probably the only administrator of the page at the moment, but it is of course also possible to designate multiple administrators in the future.
These participants must of course also have an active Facebook profile.
3. Be interactive
We probably don't need to explain to you that social media is not just a matter of sending information.
Social media is interactive and should always be regarded as an online form of two-way traffic; In this way, as the face of a company or brand, you will soon be actively talking to customers.
Comments on your Facebook page
This can provide the necessary positive publicity, but also be prepared for negative reactions , for example an angry message from someone who is not happy about a non-delivery.
Not responding on social media is in any case out of the question. And it is especially in these kinds of urgent cases that it is very important that you do not ignore such complaints, but that you enter into a dialogue with the customer.
React fast
Don't wait too long to reply (users nowadays more or less assume that they will get an answer within a few hours).
Post a comment apologizing for what happened and saying you're going to find out what went wrong here.
Webcare
If necessary, ask if the customer can send you his or her contact details in a private message, so that you can more easily keep in touch.
Is the problem solved? Then post a public response in which you indicate that everything has been rectified, so that other users also see that your company handles complaints adequately.
4. Make the page publicly accessible
A newly created page is automatically made public, so that it can be directly indexed by search engines.
It is also useful to know that companies with a business page on Facebook are often better valued by Google.
5. Post interesting content
Remember, people are often on Facebook for fun; by promoting new products or sales promotions alone, you will only be able to enthuse few users.
Instead, make sure to regularly post interesting content that isn't primarily aimed at selling or promoting your business.
Video on your Facebook page
Have you recently attended a fair on behalf of your company and were film recordings made there? Then post the YouTube video on your Facebook page.
Or upload photos of your presentation during a workshop or other event that appeals to your target group.
Group page on Facebook
You could also consider creating a special group page, so that you can come into contact with interesting network contacts even more intensively.
Just keep in mind that moderating this can take extra time.
Maintain your Facebook page
Tips for proper maintenance of your Facebook page:
Set aside time     regularly to maintain all your social media profiles. In addition to     Facebook, many starters are also active on Twitter , LinkedIn and - depending on the industry in     which they work - Pinterest , Instagram or Google+
Post a number of updates weekly, so that fans and other     visitors never see a 'dead' page
In addition, make it a habit to log in at fixed times     (for example, once in the morning, in the afternoon and in the     evening); this way you are always relatively in time when users ask     questions or have a complaint
6. Post an ad on Facebook
Do you want to promote a new product or spectacular discount promotion? With approximately 10.8 million users worldwide in the Netherlands, Facebook is an excellent online platform for targeted advertising.
Moreover, via Facebook this is usually not too expensive (after all, you are in control of where and how often your advertisement can be seen) and offers various options to reach your target group as well as possible.
Targeted advertising
Because if you have just started a gym in East Groningen, it is of course not of much use when users from the Amsterdam region see this advertisement on their profile.
Also financially, Facebook is quite flexible; you can even adjust this daily.
Facebook for business since 2018
In 2018, things have changed for businesses on Facebook. For example, Facebook has changed the algorithm so that posts from companies and media appear much less on users' timelines.
The idea behind this is that Facebook would rather promote social interaction than the interests of companies. They actually want you to advertise for this.
Getting Attention on Facebook
What can you do to stay in the sights of the Facebook user? A few examples:
Try to really connect with your target     audience. It no longer pays to shoot with hail, you have to address     different subgroups. You can set your post to only be visible to     people with certain demographics. For example, women between the ages     of 18 and 35.
Avoid clickbait-style posts where you ask people to     share the post, tag others, or respond with a smiley face.
Focus on comments. Try to provoke substantive     reactions from your followers by asking questions such as: "Which     product do you miss in our range?"
Use live videos. These are appreciated by Facebook     and generate more viewers. Followers even get a notification that     you're going live.

What is Brand Promotion?
Brands exist because they are continuously communicated. Brand promotion involves active and positive communication about what a brand is and the values it represents. The goal of the strategy is not only to highlight a company's unique core competencies, but it also helps to keep the company's image alive in the minds of consumers. The strategy typically underlines the business features that can stand the test of time. Promotions also need to be adapted to market conditions. It is important for you to note that positive consumer experiences strengthen a brand. For example, experiencing excellent service and fast deliveries can improve a brand's image. Conversely, having a bad experience with products can negatively impact a brand,
  Promotion Methods
·       Websites
With the rapid growth of internet usage, companies now prefer to set up websites for their promotions. Companies set up sites and enjoy low promotional costs compared to other methods, yet achieve the same goals. Websites have thus become ideal platforms to promote brands. Websites provide more space and flexibility needed for brand promotions.
  ·       Media advertising
Brand building efforts can be greatly enhanced through media advertising. Companies place ads on television or online platforms to promote their brands. However, this method can be expensive for you. Media campaigns need to be well designed to achieve their goals and avoid wasting resources.
  ·       Personal contact
Although personal contact is slowly declining, it is still an effective way for companies to promote their brands. Personal communication includes face-to-face meetings, emails, and phone calls. Sales associates have a significant impact on the way consumers experience a brand. Therefore, this method requires skilled management. Implementing tools like a CRM is an effective way to manage and measure the success of those interactions and the growth of those relationships.
  ·       Brand material
Branded materials such as business cards, letterhead, newsletters, brochures and price lists can be used to convey the leading message and tell a cohesive story the company wants to share about their brand. In the promotional material, the company can communicate all relevant details about its company with the aim of strengthening the image of the brand.
  ·       Unique promotional products
Unique promotional products can be used to help a company stay in the spotlight of its audience. Choosing the right items to promote the brand can create an authentic brand experience, add value to the customer's life, and amplify the positive value the company provides through their products or services. The best promotional merchandise is selected to resonate with the specific audience the company wants to connect with, while representing the ethos of the brand.
  Benefits
  ·       Increasing consumer awareness
Brand awareness is the measure of how much people know about a company's products, services, and principles. The basic principle behind promoting brands is that people cannot harbor an idea that they know nothing about. To create awareness, companies must repeatedly deliver targeted messages . It's a well-known fact that the average person has to see a company's message more than five times before it becomes ingrained in their mind. Applying different brand promotion methods, such as delivering creative digital advertising and gifting unique promotional products, helps to raise awareness that continues to grab audience attention.
  ·       Attract Loyal Customers
Companies promote brands with the aim of customer loyalty on to build . When companies offer unique promotional products, it improves the shopping experience for consumers. The rewarding experience for consumers makes them want to repeatedly buy goods or services from the company. At some point, such customers who develop a sense of brand loyalty will invest in the company's products, even if there are cheaper alternatives on the market.
  Challenges
  ·       Finance
Brand promotion is not a get-rich-quick strategy; it is intended to improve the brand in the long term. Therefore, spending resources does not guarantee immediate results. Managers therefore choose to compromise the campaigns in order to gain short-term benefits.
  ·       Consistency
Brands should be promoted over a longer period of time. Getting staff to commit to the strategy over time is a challenge. Driving the entire organization to embrace the long-term strategy can be challenging, resulting in unfulfilled visions.
  ·       Maintain Relevance
Brands should focus on staying relevant in the long term. Sometimes customer numbers are written off, resulting in energy loss in the brand. Companies must be highly adaptable to change.
  Final Thoughts
Effective brand promotion is necessary for a company to stand out in the competitive landscape. Partnering with a brand agency dedicated to helping you implement and manage the methods to promote your brand is an effective way to overcome said challenges and build a strong awareness among your target audience.

What are backlinks?
A backlink is a link from another website to your website. Backlinks are important for search engines such as Google to determine how popular your website or webpage is. The more backlinks, the more positive recommendations you actually have from other websites. Do you want more backlinks? Then we can help you with link building.
Why are backlinks important?
To answer the question of why backlinks are important, it is necessary to map the usefulness of backlinks. Because why do (good) backlinks have a positive effect on your positions in Google? When using link building in the right way, or actively gathering backlinks, this can increase your domain authority. The higher your domain authority, the more important you are according to Google. To increase your domain authority, you need qualitative backlinks. For this reason, backlinks are still extremely important.
Backlink quality
Every website and page has built up a certain value and can pass the value through links to other pages and websites. The link value is partly determined by the quality of the linking website. The higher the 'Pagerank' of the website, the more interesting it is to obtain a backlink from it. Your website grows due to the quality of the backlink obtained.
What is a good backlink?
What makes a backlink a good backlink? There are a few things to keep in mind when building good backlinks. For example, the backlinks must be relevant to your website. Let's say you own a construction company, then a link from someone else is more relevant than a link from a shoe store.
Another important point is that your backlinks should be gathered as naturally as possible. However, this is very difficult in reality. When we do link building, we do this in the most natural way possible.
A point that is often forgotten with a good backlink is the anchor text. An anchor text is the piece of text or the word behind which the final link will be placed.
The ideal backlink?
The perfect backlink you can request is from your competitor. What? Indeed, if we look at how the Google algorithms are built, we can only conclude that website content plays the main role. In other words, in the ideal Google world, Pepsi Cola and Coca Cola have links to each other's websites. They are in the same industry and are both big names. If you, as a soft drink maker, receive a positive recommendation from Coca Cola, then you are proud, right?
Analyzing backlinks
Backlinks are important for the Google positions of your website. By means of tools you can analyze the backlinks and you can see the following: the number of backlinks, the value of these links and the anchor text.
How to get backlinks
There are several techniques to get good backlinks.
1.      Swap link with other webmasters
2.      Post backlinks to blogs on other websites
3.      Writing interesting content that others like to link to as a source
4.      Get backlinks through social media
5.      Buy from links
What will your backlink strategy be?
Backlinks have a lot of value, but they can also hurt you badly if you don't handle them properly. Do you want to have a backlink strategy made for your website?
Learning from the best digital marketing institute in Udaipur will help you create quality backlinks which will help your website rank higher on google.

Email Marketing: 7 Tips for Successful Campaigns!
As a digital marketer, I see that websites often do not get the most out of email marketing. Email is still one of the highest converting online marketing channels. In this blog I give you 7 tips with which you can start successful email marketing campaigns!
 Tip 1: Come up with a strategy/objectives
In my opinion, the starting point of every online marketing channel is a well-thought-out strategy with objectives. By starting to formulate clear objectives, you will notice that a strategy follows easily. Below are some sample questions that I think you should always ask yourself before you start email marketing:
·       What do I want to achieve by sending newsletters?
·       Who is my target audience?
·       Do I only email B2C or B2B or a combination?
·       Which message is relevant to my target group?
·       Do I focus the message in my newsletters on promotions, content and/or sales?
Last but not least, it is important that your newsletters comply with privacy and telecom legislation. Be clear with the buttons or text links you place at the bottom of your email. For example, choose a text link where your customer can manage his/her newsletter preferences or where he/she can unsubscribe from all mailings. Convince your customer not to unsubscribe from all newsletters, but keep him/her for targeted/relevant mailings.
Tip 2: From mass to personalized and segmented
The biggest change in email marketing in recent years has been the shift from mass mailings to (mostly automated) campaigns that are personalized and segmented. Therefore make sure you say goodbye to the following mailings:
·       Send a newsletter with offers on women's clothing to your entire database (including men…).
·       An email with curling irons to people who are bald.
·       An offer for a sports watch that your customer bought the day before at the same websites for the original price.
They are probably open doors, but the above mass mailings are still sent daily. It goes without saying that the above email marketing campaigns yield less results. In fact, it will lead to irritation with the customer and a higher number of unsubscribes.
Therefore, make sure that it is not you, but the customer who determines which content he/she receives and at what time. By using automated campaigns you ensure more relevance when sending your newsletter. A good example of an automated campaign is the birthday campaign. For example, based on the dates of birth in your system, a birthday email can be sent every day at 8 a.m. to all email addresses in your database that have a birthday on that day. The birthday email is guaranteed to be relevant and personal!
Tip 3: Check, check, double check
Nothing is more important than properly checking and testing your email marketing campaigns. By taking the following steps before an e-mail campaign is rolled out, the number of reactions/complaints can be kept to a minimum, which of course ensures more results:
1.      Create a flowchart with all the functionalities your campaign should include
2.      Test the campaign yourself by putting yourself in the visitor's shoes
3.      Send the campaign to colleagues (preferably both online marketers and non-'onliners') and ask them to critically go through the mailings
4.      Select a part of your database where you will test the campaign
5.      Are all tests positive? Then turn off your email marketing campaign under the complete database!
Run the above tests on multiple devices and mail clients & check both the newsletter and the loading pages on the different devices.
You will notice that setting up an automated campaign is a significant (time) investment. However, performing the 5 tests above provides a better result in the longer term, so that the investment pays off twice as much.
Are emails opened more often on mobile? E-village's 2016 email benchmark shows that the number of mobile vs desktop opens is approximately 50% / 50%. In 2015, 49.79% of emails sent were opened on a mobile or tablet, the remaining 50.21% were opened on a desktop. It is expected that in 2016 the number of mobile opens exceeded the number of opens on a desktop for the first time. Therefore please note that:
·       The above tests are performed not only on a desktop but also on the tablet and mobile phone
·       Your landing page also functions well on tablet and mobile
Tip 4: Automate and reduce comments/complaints
Reducing manual actions and automating processes is sometimes underestimated. Still, it's a good way to make your email marketing campaigns more successful. If you spend 30 minutes every day answering questions and making changes to your database, this will obviously be at the expense of your time to improve the result. Therefore, invest time to look for a structural solution.
Tip 5: Optimize based on KPIs
You have set objectives, mapped out a strategy and 'started' the campaign. Then it's time to take a closer look at the results. By making smart use of quantitative and qualitative input from customers, your email marketing can be lifted to a higher level. But which KPIs do you follow to determine whether your email marketing campaigns are successful? I usually start optimizing my newsletters based on the following metrics:
·       click-through rate
·       Conversion
·       forward rate
·       Delivery rate
·       Total ROI
Click-through rate After your newsletter has been opened, you can read the degree of relevance from the number of clicks to your website, among other things. Tracking clicks is a good way to determine if your newsletter is successful. If you see a drop in the click-through rate per newsletter, it is time to rethink the content of your email marketing campaigns. Provide measurable links in all buttons, text links, titles and images so that you can analyze not only the different topics but also the type: button, text link, title or image. I work with Google's UTM coding, which makes it easy to read in Google Analytics which topic resulted in what and which image resulted in click-throughs/conversions.
Conversion Of course, the number of conversions you get from a newsletter is an important KPI. However, don't focus on the number of direct conversions you get from email marketing. The moment of sending has a major influence on the number of direct conversions. What 'mood' is your customer in when he sees your newsletter?
Forward ratio Many newsletters do not have the possibility to forward the mail, yet forwarding can yield a lot of results. After all, how nice is it when your newsletter is forwarded? In addition, the ability to forward the email from a newsletter subscriber to a non-newsletter subscriber is good for file growth. Your e-mail database is not only growing quantitatively but usually also increasing in quality.
Delivery ratio The delivery ratio is determined by dividing the number of emails sent minus the bounce by the total number of emails sent. With a delivery rate below 99%, I advise you to look for reasons why a large part of your database does not receive your e-mails. Possible causes are a noreply e-mail address, which I strongly advise against, a domain name from which a lot of mail is sent and/or the content of your newsletter that is assessed as 'spam'.
Total ROI Email is one of the online marketing channels that should improve your (online) results. With a well-designed Google Analytics account, you can determine whether your email marketing efforts are profitable and ensure more (online) sales. The above statistics provide insight into this result and help you to continuously improve and optimize email campaigns.
 Tip 6: File Growth
Sending emails always leads to unsubscribes. If you do not take any action to grow your database, the number of email addresses you write to will decrease. You can increase your database by:
·       Build in an option when ordering/requesting on your website (easiest method for file growth!), see the example below from Profile Car & Tire Service
·       Offer give-aways (for example: 20% discount when subscribing to the newsletter)
·       Identify the benefits and transmission frequency of your newsletter
·       Make use of your LinkedIn connections
·       Keep the registration process accessible by, for example, only asking for the e-mail addressmailadres
·       Use mind-tricks like 'don't miss our last actions'
·       Start an (offline) action where the email address must be left
·       Asking for an email address in branches, for example to send the invoice
Please note that you always collect e-mail addresses based on the opt-in principle. I myself am a big proponent of the double opt-in principle whereby the customer registers via, for example, your website and then confirms his registration by clicking a link in his/her email. You will notice that this positively influences the quality and loyalty of your mail database.
 Tip 7: Enrich data
Also clearly define what you want to know. For example, in Profile I made a distinction between 'must-haves' and 'nice-to-haves':
must have
·       Mailable email address with opt-in (of course!)
·       License Plate
·       First Name
Nice to have
·       Preferred location
·       Sex
·       Prefix and surname
·       Dates about scheduled appointments/orders
Conclusion: Draw up a clear strategy with concrete objectives and judge whether your email marketing campaigns are profitable based on the most important KPIs. Then test and optimize to make your email marketing even more successful!

6 reasons why email marketing is interesting for your company (+ useful tips)
Email Marketing: Some love it, some aren't a fan at all. The importance of this form of marketing is therefore underestimated by many companies.
But actually, the success of many companies often lies in a strong mailing list. That's why I'll tell you today why email marketing offers opportunities for your company and what you should take into account.
WHY EMAIL MARKETING IS INDISPENSABLE
Email is still one of the most used means of communication , both at work and in private and that is why this medium is really suitable for marketing purposes. Research shows that we use our mobile phone the most to     read e-mails.
This form of marketing has a relatively low cost and it also costs you little time because you can work with fixed templates. As a result, the return on investment is high.
Everything can be automated . You don't have to sit behind your laptop at exactly the same time every week. Instead, you prepare all mailings in advance and create an automation, this is a kind of chain of emails that the recipient receives when he or she subscribes to your mailings.
Email marketing is a below the line channel , unlike television and radio which are above the line channels. This means that with email marketing you do not reach the masses, but rather a niche. You can be extremely     personal and personalize all data (think of the salutation, for example). Another big advantage: in your mailing lists you can work with segments so that you can reach a specific target group. For example, you can reach a target group that lives in a certain region, customers who have bought something in the last 20 days or you can filter by demographic data such as age, gender and even interests.
It is a much slower medium than social media. Consumers are     overloaded with commercial messages and Facebook or Instagram messages quickly disappear into the masses. An email remains in the mailbox, we often open our mailbox and therefore emails are often opened several times.
With good tools you can follow the numbers . This way you can see who has clicked on certain links and whether your emails are generating sales. In addition, you can see how often someone has opened an email and who has unsubscribed.
 WATCH OUT FOR THESE THINGS
Email marketing therefore has a lot of advantages, especially the high ROI is an asset. However, there are a number of things that you should definitely take into account.
BE PERSONAL
The disadvantage of automatic e-mails? You can quickly lose your personality and customers often feel like a number. Make sure you create some personality with photos of the owners, a nice message at the end, et cetera. Not a standard message, but something that customers can identify with.
GDPR
In May 2018, the privacy protection legislation came into effect, which had a major impact on email marketing. From now on you must provide a clear opt-in where new potential customers consciously give permission to email them. In addition, you may not just send to private e-mail addresses, general company e-mail addresses are allowed (for example, info@). So definitely keep this in mind! Provide a clear opt-in on your website where visitors tick a box where they give permission to email.
SUCCESS IS IN DATA AND UPDATES
Have you left your mailing list for a few years? Then this list is probably no longer up to date. I always recommend to keep a great clean because email addresses that no longer exist or customers who are no longer interested, they are not interesting for your company. The big advantage of certain tools: they detect which email addresses are not accessible. After a number of times, these addresses will be deleted automatically.
In addition, it is best to think about exactly which data you want to collect. Are they just the first name and email address or are you also interested in their birthday or interests? The more data the better, for example you can send a nice discount on their birthday. But remember: the longer the list of data, the faster people will drop out. So look for something in the middle.
MAILCHIMP: A HANDY TOOL
I think almost everyone knows Mailchimp, it is one of the most well-known tools for email marketing. The main advantage of this tool: it is user-friendly and easy. And even for free up to a certain number of subscribers, ideal if you want to get started with email marketing as a starting entrepreneur.
EMAIL MARKETING IS PART OF A BIGGER PICTURE
Before you think you have to spend all your time on email marketing, you don't need to! It has to be part of the bigger picture. It is best to include it in your marketing calendar so that all channels are perfectly aligned.
