#Digital Haunting AU

Another AU idea lol

In this AU, the world is sort of similar to that of Xros Hunters/Ghost Game, where there is a space that Digimon can occupy where they effect the real world but aren't seen clearly by people. Most appear as ghosts or some other sort of urban legend. The Vandals didn't leave for the Digital World, instead remaining in Urlvista. Some of them decide to investigate into the rumors, unaware of what knowledge they'll unlock by doing so.

Little Blurb about it:

The three of them stared down at the floor, where a badly made pentagram was spray-painted on the floor.

"Hey, E.R.?" Riot piped up.

"Yeah?"

"Wanna lay on the pentagram?"

The boy considered it for a moment, then shrugged and grinned. "Sure!"

Grayson shook his head, watching as his friend laid down on top of the pentagram. "You're out of your mind."

Riot snickered, pointing the flashlight over at a nearby light switch. "Hey, ghosts or demons! If you wanna eat E.R.'s heart, turn on that light."

"And if you wanna eat Grayson's heart, turn on the light!" E.R. added, grinning as Grayson sputtered. "S-Stop putting me in your shit!"

"Our good friend Grayson McKnight."

"Dude, I swear-"

The switch flipped, the lights flickering on. The three paused, looking at one another. E.R. sat up.

"...Light's on?"

"Monodramon!" Flamemon hissed, ducking away as the light flashed towards them. The beam wouldn't show them, but it could show their shadows. Which would not be good. "What are you doing?"

"He said turn on the lights!"

"Yeah, if we wanted to eat them," Terriermon reminded, sitting on top of Flamemon's head. "Which, we don't. Right?"

"No, we do not want to do that," the monkey-child grumbled.

"Hey, uh, ghosts? Demons? Whatever is there...?" one of the humans asked. Looked like the one with the flashlight. "If that was you, and not like a fluke or anything, uh... flip the switch again?"

"Okay, just don't touch it-"

Monodramon flipped the switch.

"MONODRAMON!"

"What, he said-!"

"What's so special about him?"

"He is the first to reach the deepest layer of the cyberspace, so called Void. Some say he spent so much time there so he no longer remembers how it's like - to be a human and exist in real world. Some say he still remains in the Void, even by this day."

"Bullshit. That's impossible."

"I kid you not. I knew a guy who claimed he'd spoken to him via derelict comms link. Bastard had enough power to override his ICE and create the entire new subsystem just for communicating."

"How do you know he's not some rogue AI? Sounds pretty much like this."

"This old friend of mine investigated this and got some intel from one of the Eyeless gang. If you take Maelstrom's zeal and multiply it, you'll get the Eyeless."

"I heard about them. Constantly chasing their proof of existence of the God-machine and so."

"They don't need proofs. They made him. And he is the Outsider."

Minecraft ARG but I make shit up in my head (I very much like CL16 Continuity and the doomed children whose purpose are to showcase the horror in said horror-comedy parody)

AKA Minecraft ARG but the dead children entities just want to play the game as well (they're ghosts in the machine now)

Perhaps they just travel to other worlds via Gridworld and mess around and look for Zander's unnamed friend and perhaps they find peace or whatever (ignore the fact that Zander's soul got devoured)
