Breathless eyes linger upon him, especially as he calls her Angel. She is in no ways reminiscent of the ethereal creatures painted by all the famous artists of old. At least not by her estimations. Her own lips cave, giving way to a fond curvature of a SMILE.
Electric, Steve's touch has always sent sparks down Diana's spine. Her fingers instantly curl about his mightier hand with an unimpeded eagerness. Now, it is her turn to feel warmth surge in her cheeks, turning their shade more crimson than porcelain. Flattery will get him EVERYWHERE with the AMAZONIAN.
"Blush? You? Steve Trevor?" She nearly titters with a challenging, mirthful, laugh. "I didn't think that was possible." But she is so very glad to find the pilot so WONDERFULLY human.
The gap between them is closed rapidly, till Diana presses herself up against his sturdy form. Her dark eyes linger upon the graces of his lips. They're full, luxurious, in a way that makes her eager to explore the much charted territory. But she deliberately allows that intensity LINGER statically in the air between them. "It has ALWAYS been you, Steve---" Her home. It's him. Her home is found in the steady thrum of the heart that keeps him animating. "The place where I belong." He is her purpose. Her person.
"I WON'T lose you again." Diana vows possessively. Her free hand moves to stroke the chiseled corner of his jaw. She knows she might not be able to stop fate, but she would try her damndest. Maxwell Lord and his WISHES gave her glimpses of the FUTURE she desired, and just how easily it could ALL be considered forfeit. And this time, she refuses to let her grasp falter. She would rather have EVERYTHING taken from her than to lose him again.

Diana Prince and Steve Trevor
Okay, okay—yes—I am taking a lot of influence from the 2017 live action film, but I thought they did a pretty good job (minus the moustache. If you know, you know.) Anyway, I did make some changes. First off, Steve is British. There was a very distinct difference between the mindsets of the soldiers depending on which country they were from, and I’d prefer to explore WW1 through the eyes of a British soldier rather than American. I’m also still deciding whether or not to keep him a spy or to make him a pilot because, while at first glance at the movie, the idea of him being a spy sounds all cool, it really only serves one purpose and it’s at the beginning of the film and then him being a spy almost loses all meaning (except for that one scene at the party). I then thought that making him a pilot would be a better option because, hey, he crashes onto Themyscira in a plane, doesn’t he? And come on, you do need to be taught how to fly those things. Anyway, that aside, Steve’s personality: He’s a relatively stand-up bloke who just wants to go home and take care of his mum. It’s 1917, which means it’s been roughly three years since the War’s started. His dad’s already died in the service of his country. His older brother too. He can’t risk dying now, someone’s gotta come home to his mother and take care of her.
When his brother and father enlisted, they were all for serving. Everyone was. They were promised an easy war. A noble war. An opportunity to stand up to tyranny and let righteousness prevail. What they found instead was Hell. WW1 was unlike anything the world had yet seen—some of the things—the weapons—invented and used in this war are downright creative in their ruthlessness and twistedness. Steve’s done. He wants out. He’s not coming back.
Diana, on the other hand, still has not seen active combat. She’s battle ready and gung-ho to jump into the middle of this war… but Steve rebukes her. Their story is one about maturity and the nature of right and wrong. Is it right to fight? What’s the right way to fight? Is WW1 really justified when you look at how many men had to die? Just the nature of war, in general. A big topic, I know. But if you’re gonna write a WW1 story, write a WW1 story. And you know something, after reading about it all, the Wonder Woman movie seems downright PG by comparison.
Diana proves to Steve that there is still good in the world, while Steve teaches Diana to be wary of those who are not so good. Diana helps to bring a little joy back into Steve’s life after everything he’s been through, and Steve teaches Diana about some harsh realities of the 20th century. They balance each other out nicely.

We were going to a Christmas party but fuck if you don’t just look sinful in red, and you know what? Fuck that Christmas party. Wondertrev
I decided to finally answer this one for this year's @multifandom-christmasinjuly and I'm so happy I did. I really like how this one came out. Enjoy!
A Little Naughty - Steve sees Diana in her new dress and they decide to be a little naughty and skip the family Christmas party to spend the evening alone together.
READ @ AO3
The war had been hell, but the aftermath sweet. He thought he’d make the ultimate sacrifice, but when he got the plane high enough that it wouldn’t hurt anyone else or plummet back to Earth and injure even more people, he’d spied the parachute and decided maybe, just maybe, he could still do some good in the world. He put it on and jumped out of the plane after jamming the controls to keep the plane in the air as best he could. Parachute had gotten singed by being too close to the exploding plane, and his landing had been harder than it had needed to be, but from a distance he saw Diana kicking Ares’s ass.
He had never been more sure of a decision he'd made than he had been to live.
And now, after the war, they had settled on his family ranch. They weren’t going to stay there forever; he was going to age and tey weren’t sure what was going to happen to her when it came to growing old after leaving Themysciera, but there was a whole world to explore and they wanted to do it together. And that was just fine with him; he’d finish recuperating from the war and then watch out world, here they’d come.
It was Christmas now, Diana’s first, and the ranch was decorated inside and out. She was still learning the customs of man’s world, but she’d taken a liking to all the things she was discovering about Christmas. She did it all with a childlike glee, from cookie baking to present shopping to tree decorating. And it was now two days until Christmas and it was time for his parent’s annual Christmas party. The two of them had been hunkered down in the guest quarters so they could “have their privacy to do as they pleased,” as his mother had said. He hadn’t expected his parents to be fine with him living in sin with a woman he met abroad, but maybe they understood him well enough to know it was love, and it had been his love for her that had gotten him through the worst of it all.
Either way, there was a diamond engagement ring hidden among the packages of the tree in their room, so maybe she’d allow him to allow her to finish making an honest man out of him.
She came out of the en suite in a red dress he could have sworn was brand new. It was tapered close to her chest and waist, coming out in a full skirt and it clung to all the nice curves he’d memorized over the last few months in bed. His hands went to her waist, feeling the smooth fabric underneath his calloused hands. “You look gorgeous.”
“Your mother helped me pick it out,” she said with a smile. She smelled like some exotic fruits and foreign isles, and he leaned in to get a closer whiff. This was a new scent and he had to admit he was enraptured.
“My mother has good taste,” he murmured, pressing a kiss to the bit of bare skin at the nape of her neck.
“Steve…” she said, her voice slightly breathy.
“I think we’ve been nice all month so far. We deserve to be a little naughty,” he said, sliding his hand from her wait to her back and once he found the zipper, moving his hand to the top, slowly unzipping the dress.
“Maybe we could be a little naughty,” she said, and when she looked up she had a slightly wicked grin on her face. He pulled her close and kissed her deeply, reveling in the taste of her. Oh yes. They could definitely be a little naughty this evening...

a cat named steve
summary:  Steve Trevor is a soldier and a spy. He thinks he has seen it all. Yet, he finds himself completely unprepared when he and Diana are asked to look after a cat. A cat named Steve.
author’s note: Hello, I did a thing. It’s been forever. Hope you’ll enjoy it!
---
A shadow darted towards Steve’s legs the second he opened the front door, just as Diana’s voice rang out from the kitchen:
“Don’t let Steve escape!”
Steve leaned down instinctively, scooping up the thing before it made it into the hallway, surprised to see an orange cat sitting in his arms when he looked down.
Huh.
He looked up, confused and half-certain that he had the wrong apartment by mistake, however crazy that sounded. But no, that was their hallway and their coat rack and their umbrella holder.
And that certainly was Diana walking towards him as she dried her hands on the kitchen towel.
Steve felt his brows knit together, his confusion deepening.
The last time he checked, they didn’t have a cat.
