If we are talking about IPL ships. I remember back in the 2014-2015 while playing for KingsXI Punjab, Maxi/David Miller were a ship. There used to be like edits and shit of them. Plus they were also linked to Preity Zinta, Kings XI owner.

Virat/ABD is also a fairly popular ship.

I personally prefer sticking to my team, which is CSK. I don't ship them because there is a big age gap (10+ years). But I love our openers together. Ruturaj Gaikwad/ Faf Du Plessis/ Devon Conway.

Rutu/Faf were our openers till from 2021. Then we had Rutu/Conway (RutuWay if you will) for the 2022 & 2023 season.

I think it was during the opening matches of 2022 season when Rutu said something like "I think Faf will be jealous a little bit" seeing Rutu & Conway's opening partnership.

Our openers in TSK (Franchise in MLC) are Faf & Conway, so Devon Conway was like "I know Rutu is going to be a little bit jealous"

There was a picture of three of them during this IPL season and I kid you not I got a bit emotional.

They also have a special handshake between them🥺

As a result of these efforts, MLC is manage to make a major impact on cricket in the USA. The league has the potential to transform the sport in the country and make it a major force in American sports industry.

Introduction: Major League Cricket

Major League Cricket (MLC) is an American professional Twenty20 cricket league. It started play on July 13, 2023, with six teams representing significant American cities and was run by American Cricket Enterprises (ACE) under a single-entity format only.

Major League Cricket’s inaugural season was played over three weeks in July 2023, with games at Grand Prairie Stadium in Grand Prairie, Texas, and Church Street Park in Morrisville, North Carolina.

In 2018, USA Cricket sought partners to launch a domestic T20 league by 2021, with the aim of engaging existing fans, growing new ones and developing cricketing infrastructure across the country. In 2019, USA Cricket accepted a $1 billion investment from American Cricket Enterprises (ACE) to support the league and the U.S. national teams. American Cricket Enterprises (ACE), a group of investors led by Satyan Gajwani and Vineet Jain of The Times Group and Sameer Mehta and Vijay Srinivasan of Willow TV will handle commercial activities for T20I and ODI matches hosted by the United States.

In October 2020, USA Cricket announced that it would launch Major League Cricket in 2022, as part of its “foundational plan” for 2020–23. The following month, the IPL’s Kolkata Knight Riders (co-owned by Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan) announced that they would invest in American Cricket Enterprises (ACE), the company behind Major League Cricket.

Minor League Cricket Youth and Major League Cricket Youth leagues, coupled with an MLC Jr. Championship and player development program would serve as a development structure for younger players to advance toward Major League Cricket and the national squad. These leagues were announced by the MLC in February 2021. Major League Cricket’s debut was postponed to 2023 in May owing to COVID-19 and to give more time to build facilities.

It was announced in November 2022 that the inaugural MLC season will take place at Grand Prairie Stadium from July 13–30, 2023. Six franchises will play 15 league matches in a single round-robin format during the competition, followed by a four-match play-off phase.

In the reduced overs game, there was a lot of pressure on both bowlers and batters. Due to batters having only a limited number of overs to score runs, the powerplay was filled with aggressive play. Although the bowlers Mohammed Shami and Hardik Pandya were unable to create much movement, the leg-spinner Rashid Khan was unable to generate any turn in the ball. GT selected him for a base prize of ₹20 lakh prior to IPL 2022. Sudharsan showed great fluency with the bat from the moment he stepped onto the pitch in the eighth over following Shubman Gill’s dismissal. He hit two impressive sixes off Maheesh Theekshana in the 15th over, one from a full toss and the other in the direction of cow corner. The left-hander reached his half-century in the subsequent over, having taken just 33 deliveries to do so. CSK’s powerplay bowling was uninspiring until Sudharsan arrived at the crease. The bowlers had a tendency to bowl down leg or pitch it too full. A sharp catch taken by Dhoni off Ravindra Jadeja helped slow GT down, sending Shubhman Gill (39) back to the pavilion. GT had reached 86/1 mid-innings, but the pitch was too flat for CSK’s spinners to gain control in the middle overs. The spin duo, consisting of Theekshana and Jadeja, conceded 74 runs in 8 overs. Though it seems distant, Sudharsan managed to control Anrich Nortje's speed on a difficult Ferozeshah Kotla surface during the beginning of IPL 2023. In his undefeated score of 62, he executed the ramp and scoop shots against Nortje's rapid pace. However, during the previous game against Mumbai Indians, Sudharsan's pace decelerated in the final overs, resulting in a retired out for the impressive Rashid Khan. Nevertheless, he rectified this issue in the current game. In the 17th over, he opened up some space and endeavored to reverse scoop Tushar Deshpande over short fineleg. IPL 2022 - After Royal Challengers Bangalore broke their three-match losing streak by defeating Chennai Super Kings by 13 runs, RCB skipper Faf du Plessis said that they are moving in the right direction but they need to do some improvement in the batting lineup.
