The Vermillion Stitchery: The Cat Alphabet stitched by Katherine McCain. Pattern designed by Donna Vermillion Giampa.
“Finally!! My quarantine project --stitched, washed, ironed, and off to the framer in the next couple of days. All those little teensy mice really kicked my butt, but they're really cute now that they're done (not to mention all the blended threads!!)
The designer is Donna Vermillion Giampa--title is The Cat Alphabet--and I suspect it's long out of print. I probably got mine from a reseller a few years ago. It's stitched 2 over 2 on Edinburgh linen.
And yes, there are indeed many many mice.
It's gift for the vet who has taken such great care of our cat and dealt successfully with her really serious medical issues.”

Slightly more irritating than my peacock cross stitch
Mom and I found this in the garage a bit ago. It was something she started but never finished (blue highlights are her's, yellow is mine), and now I see why. Some parts of the pattern aren't very clear, like the quarter stitches. Two colors (3046 and 3345) use the same symbol on the chart and easily get mixed up. The Adidas is hard to poke through for quarter stitches and I constantly prick myself as a result. And the color cards are absolutely annoying to the point I made a spreadsheet so I don't have to constantly flip the pattern over to look at the colors I need. Like on the card I showed, 815 is Medium Garnet and 309 is Deep Rose, you wouldn't know that unless you look up the colors separately to tell the difference since one is only slightly darker than the others. I had to look them up to know which is which. Pattern was designed by Donna Vermillion Giampa Kit was distributed by the Janlynn Corporation.

Merry Christmas everyone! Here is the other family stocking I have done. This one is mine. The designer is Donna Vermillion Giampa. Instead of the materials provided with the kit, I put a navy velvet on the back and the gold cord around the edge
