Derek Riggs, 'Iron Maiden - Live After Death', 1985
Live albums aren't really my thing so I rarely listened to this album. I dig the cover though. It's one of my favorite covers from Maiden.

One of the big ones today. Started by bass player, Steve Harris back in 1975, Iron Maiden should be familiar to even people who aren't metalheads. With hits such as 'Number Of The Beast', 'Powerslave' and 'Two Minutes To Midnight', the band are still going strong today.
The Derek Riggs mentioned here is the original artist who came up with the band's mascot, Eddie The Head. Seen here as part of my recreation of their second album cover, Killers. He also provided covers for their other albums, including Number Of The Beast, Somewhere In Time, and Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son.
Quite pleased with this one! Yes, it's my interpretation of something that already exists but I still like how it turned out. The pose is slightly off and some of the background isn't 1 to 1 accurate, but it's alright. Also nice to see what I can do with some dying pens...

Now playing: Iron Maiden - Somewhere In Time (1986). This album marks the first time the band used Guitar and Bass Synthesisers. Got this album today along with two other albums which are Iron Maiden’s 1983 album Piece Of Mind which is the first album to feature Nicko McBrain on drums replacing Clive Burr and Helloween’s 1985 debut album Walls Of Jericho.

Iron Maiden - Alternate Universe Single Art
Iron Maiden have a lot of awesome cover art. But what if they released different songs as singles over the past 40 years? Perhaps these nine alternate single cover art designs will answer that question. You'll have to imagine them Derek Riggs-ified though.
Phantom of the Opera
I can just imagine a hatchet-job single edit that removes the bluesy solo midsection.
Killers
Technically "Wrathchild" was already a double A-side.
Gangland
With "Invaders" firmly on the b-side.
Die With Your Boots On
Yeah it's about Nostradamus, but who doesn't want to see Western Eddie?
Powerslave
Credit to my friend Mike Lebrain for the inspiration behind this design.
Mother Russia
Awesome song, despite the outdated lyrical content.
These Colours Don't Run
I could imagine the band putting this song out as a statement.
The Talisman
A long one yes, but they put "Empire of the Clouds" out as a single too so it's fine.
Days of Future Past
Probably the most obvious pick on here.
