ARCH ENEMY's twelfth studio album, "Blood Dynasty", will arrive on March 28, 2025 via Century Media Records.
ARCH ENEMY's 2024 European co-headline tour, "Rising From The North", with IN FLAMES, wrapped up on November 5 in Helsinki, Finland.
Michael stated about "Blood Dynasty": "This new album pushes the boundaries of what we've done before — it's everything you've come to expect from this band, and then some! We can't wait for you to hear it and feel the energy we've poured into every track. Welcome to the 'Blood Dynasty'!"
Next to the limited deluxe editions that feature two exclusive bonus tracks, fans can direct their attention to the limited liquid blood vinyl that is exclusively available in the band stores and limited to 666 copies.
Issued in July 2024, the "Dream Stealer" single marked ARCH ENEMY's first new music since the release of the "Deceivers" album, which came out in August 2022.
"Dream Stealer" was mixed by Jens Bogren and mastered by Tony Lindgren at Fascination Street Studios. The accompanying music video was directed and produced by Patric Ullaeus.
Four months ago, Amott told Pulp Magazine about "Dream Stealer" and ARCH ENEMY's plans for new music: "We've been staying busy for sure and are really focused on writing and recording new stuff in between the touring we're doing. I'm kind of always coming up with new musical and lyrical ideas though — I just keep going as it's what I enjoy doing anyway. Making music is a natural process, and it's pretty much a daily thing, so it can be hard to pinpoint exactly when everything was conceived. I do, however, actually remember that the initial seed for 'Dream Stealer' was written during a songwriting session I did with Daniel [Erlandsson, drums] in Los Angeles, California, two years ago, and then it's been rearranged and updated a lot till it reached its final state that you're now hearing."
Asked if it was a conscious decision to go back to the "classic ARCH ENEMY" direction and approach with "Dream Stealer", Amott said: "I've seen some seriously great feedback from the fans, and that's always very encouraging, of course. Personally, I don't know if I’d necessarily say 'Dream Stealer' is a throwback to the sound of the past, but I get what they mean — the song has the energy and speed that is very exciting and infectious. Maybe there is a hint of vintage ARCH ENEMY in there, and why not? I'm looking forward to playing it live on stage — I think it is going to be intense as hell."
ARCH ENEMY played its first concert with new guitarist Joey Concepcion on April 24, 2024 at Musinsa Garage in Seoul, South Korea. The show was part of ARCH ENEMY's 2024 Asian tour.
In December 2023, ARCH ENEMY announced that it had "amicably" parted ways with longtime guitarist Jeff Loomis.
Jeff, who was the main songwriter in his previous group, NEVERMORE, joined ARCH ENEMY in late 2014, but was not involved in the writing for the latter act's last two albums, 2017's "Will To Power" and the aforementioned "Deceivers".

Kylie Jenner Under Fire for Listening to Unreleased Tory Lanez Song in TikTok Video
Denver Sean
Kylie Jenner decided to play on of Tory Lanez’s unreleased songs for background music in her latest TikTok — and people aren’t happy.
via Complex:
On Friday, Jenner took to her TikTok page with a video of herself sitting in a car with a filter that altered her face to look like a cartoonish man. Over the video, the Toronto singer’s unreleased song “Hurts Me” can be heard.
Several TikTok users have used the filter and song choice as part of a “jumpscare” trend due to the jarring nature of the filter. Despite its popularity, some are criticizing the 25-year-old for taking part in the trend.
Jenner also posted a now-deleted TikTok of her vibing to the song without the filter.
The reason for the criticism stems from Jenner being tied to the shooting incident between Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion. Many feel that because the events leading up to the incident allegedly started at her place, Jenner should’ve been more mindful of her song choice.
Fans reacted to the song choice, believing it to be intentional.
Jenner had remained neutral throughout the whole saga between Megan and Tory, which had people believe she was finally choosing sides when posting the TikTok. She did appear in the video for Megan and Cardi B’s “WAP” when it was released in 2020.
The shooting incident occurred after Tory, Megan, and friends were hanging out at Jenner’s place, and attorneys during the trial suggested that Lanez was trying to make a move on Jenner that night. Megan reportedly became upset with Tory trying to flirt with Jenner, which led to her leaving the party early.
Tory allegedly stayed behind, but Meg and her former friend Kelsey Nicole came back to get him. Prosecutors argued that Tory Lanez shot Megan in her feet, which a jury found to be accurate and led to the rapper being convicted on felony gun and assault charges in December 2022.

Design Doc 3: Boulder
Chaos's obsession level: 3/3
I adore the Boulder Dome, so buckle up for a wild ride!
Bio med gel (the stuff inside these bad boys) was invented in the Boulder Dome.
'Those who refuse are put in cold sleep, using technology the original Dome scientists developed to aid space travel'- I've said it before but I'll say it again: Outer Worlds much?
This might be my British ass underestimating the size of the US, but it's always seemed utterly outrageous to me that it took Agnes and co a year to travel from California (let's assume Shady Sands or the Boneyard) to Boulder.
So, allegedly the Boulder scientists picked up on broadcasts from Denver, but ignored them because they were afraid of being attacked by 'diseased people'? My siblings in VB, YOU are the diseased people here.
Wagner from Denver makes a daring cameo appearance.
'Presper was able to talk everyone into a conference via video monitor' Zoom calls canon. I don't make the rules.
What does Presper consider Goddard responsible for? My best guesses would be a) The Plaguening of the scientists (which I believe was an accident and not Presper's intent) and/or b) The deaths of some of the scientists during the journey to the Dome.
There were mini quests planned that sound a whole lot like the 76 daily quest Ecological Balance.
We have our first mention of nutrient paste.
On how designers should express the overall feel and tone of their area to the audio team: 'Emote if necessary. Do interpretative dance. I don't fucking care'. This may or may not have been present in the last two documents, but it tickled me this morning.
Presper calling the Jackals 'humanitarians' is peak comedy to me.
The nutrient paste is the only food they have?!
Interesting difference between my lore and design doc lore. Officially, the interior of the Boulder Dome is very brightly lit, but in my version, all non-essential lighting is meticulously switched off to conserve power.
And now the design doc is mildly contradicting itself re: why the scientists wear environmental suits. It's definitely intended to be because they have the New Plague first and foremost, not because of the broken air filtration.
'Check for emergencies and task list'- I swear, these scientists are just playing real-life Among Us.
Who or what is Bedhead?
The original Think Tank appears. I find it equally adorable and hilarious that they want to 'taste' things like Nuka Cola and Mentats by having them dropped into their tank.
The doc is now claiming that the Prisoner was intended to be a vault dweller? Nah, no thanks.
Goddard's little Drama section is titled 'Angry Authority' lol.
The Daughter of Hecate living with the Jackals is literally called 'Crazy Bitch'.
I absolutely love how it's made abundantly clear that Goddard is irreversibly bald, just to make sure the Prisoner doesn't get any ideas of delegating the Jackals problem to him.
Goddard's terminal login is Sisyphus jhgfdfgh.
It's now been specifically pointed out twice that characters here don't smile much. Welp, can't say I blame 'em...
Saw a throwaway mention of Isaac Gant's armor and squealed. This is what I've been reduced to. God help us all when I get to doc 7...
The Robobrains subtly attempting to self-destruct despite their programming is sad.
There's bits of the Denver design document duplicated in here. Pretty sure the quest section was copied across as a template. If I had a penny for every time I've had to read about getting the brewery units working again...
I knew I didn't invent the name 'Nutripaste'!
Podunk, Colorado is back again in another copy-pasted segment.
Ending slides time. Most of these are fucking bleak. Poor Xian...
I find it intriguing that there was an ending slide for a ghoul victory.

The cinematic dash through a packed airport is the quintessential piece of proof that you’re watching a love story. Absolutely no one runs through a terminal, the bustling version of hell on Earth, for anyone they don’t love with all their heart. So, with the final scene in GLOW season 3, the Netflix dramedy confirms its two leading ladies, best friends Debbie Eagan (Emmy-nominee Betty Gilpin) and Ruth Wilder (Alison Brie), are in their own version of a rom-com. Only in this story, its protagonists get the thriving friendship of their dreams rather than the guy.
That is why the ending of GLOW’s 2019 finale, “A Very GLOW Christmas,” is so heartbreaking. After a season of real growth, Debbie and Ruth’s friendship comes to a screeching, burning halt following that airport marathon. We’re left wondering if the wrestling series' bedrock friendship is breaking up for good. Thankfully, if you look at romantic comedy mechanics, there’s still hope for Netflix’s best pair of wrestler pals.
Debbie’s all-important airport run arrives in the last few minutes of “GLOW Christmas.” As the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling depart Las Vegas for their hometowns, Ruth’s flight is delayed. For a few seconds, Debbie believes she will have some time to talk to Ruth, her longtime friend and the most type-A person in the GLOW crew, about her big business secret: she has convinced Bash Howard (Chris Lowell) to buy a television station. It is a deal Debbie stole from her season 3 boyfriend, Tex (Toby Huss). Debbie will be the president of the network and she wants Ruth to direct the new for-TV iteration of the GLOW floorshow.
This possibility is what really makes Debbie's heart sing — sorry, Tex.
Ruth is the one who has been sending original helmer Sam Sylvia (Marc Maron) — who fled Sin City after Ruth rebuffed his romantic advances — daily director’s notes. Ruth is the one who continuously craves narrative control of GLOW and has been pitching storylines and set pieces for seasons. Sam even recognized Ruth’s tenacity for directing and named her co-director of the initial TV show at the end of season 2. Ruth is perfect for the job.
“I’m going to build us an eden,” Debbie promises. “Where we run the show. You and me. No more auditions. No more being at the mercy of these fucking idiots. We’ll call the shots.”
It’s the great romantic pledge made for the friend-com. But, Ruth says no. She is clearly hurt by the rest of Debbie’s speech, which rightly points out that if Ruth was supposed to be a famous actress by now, she would have become one. Why keep auditioning for people who don’t appreciate you when there’s a lucrative and fulfilling creative off-shoot that puts all of the power in your hands? Although Debbie is fully correct, Ruth pulls back, saying the directing power plan isn’t for her. “I don’t want what you want,” Ruth says, admitting, “I don’t want an off-ramp. I never even got on the road.” When Debbie says she doesn’t understand Ruth, we get the top rom-com line of the season.
“Yes you do — probably better than anyone,” Ruth shoots back while walking onto the plane and away from Debbie. The season closes on Debbie’s bewildered face before fading to black. As with many rom-coms, our central pair has to split up before they can come back together, stronger and smarter than ever.
GLOW suggests such a future is possible since Ruth’s departure can’t be the end for her and Debbie. Although someone getting on an airplane traditionally means a full break in pop culture, it’s not like Ruth is staying in Denver forever. As she says, she is still wants to get on the road to successful acting. That means she will be heading back to Los Angeles after the holidays if GLOW is renewed for a fourth season. That’s the same city where Debbie, Bash, and their network will be based, as well as Ruth’s estranged love interest Sam, who is now working on a movie with his daughter Justine (Britt Baron). Although Ruth may be trying to run away from Debbie’s very good plan, it’s inevitable these storylines are going to pull GLOW’s main foursome back together.
Maybe Ruth will agree to be an actress on new GLOW as long as her schedule allows her to keep auditioning for other parts. Maybe she’ll end up helping Sam produce his feature once she gets over the sting of his professional rejection in “The Libertines.” That way, she'll catch the directing bug. Maybe Ruth really will become an A-list actress and lead another program on Debbie's network. But, no matter what, Ruth is bound to get pulled back into Debbie’s GLOW orbit, just like any rom-com before this.
Only this time, something is bound to happen to make Debbie and Ruth the professional power couple we all know they can be. Those are just the rules.

With the cost of hotel stays generally trending upward — 2024 saw the highest recorded average daily rates in the U.S., for starters — the luxury hospitality world may not seem the most fertile bargain-hunting ground. But you can still find deals, and they go well beyond those you can obtain by converting your credit card and loyalty points into discounts. Here are six ways to get the best prices at some top hotels.Look for “debut” discountsWhen a hotel first opens or signs up with a new booking site, room rates are sometimes heavily discounted. A good starting point is the boutique and luxury hotel membership program Dis-loyalty, run by the Ennismore Lifestyle Collective. For a membership fee of $18 per month, you’ll get deals and perks at 10 hotel brands (Mondrian, SLS and the Hoxton, among others) that include 50 percent off any of the site’s new hotels within the first three months of opening day. One current example: At the Hoxton, Florence, in Italy, which opened in March, members can book a late May stay for a starting nightly rate of $235, compared with the standard $470. Another membership-based hotel collection, Design Hotels, offers free membership and various discounts — among them, 50 percent “debut” savings on certain properties that are new to the collection, including Xela Tulum, a 12-room hotel on Mexico’s Caribbean coast that opened in late 2023. At press time, a sample starting rate in May on the Design Hotels site was $266 per night — half the standard $532.Try front desk diplomacyRoberto Cowan, a co-founder of the Desert Vintage boutiques, which has outposts in Tucson, Ariz.; New York; and, later this year, Paris, suggests calling the hotel directly for the best rates. You never know where a politely asked “Is that the best you can do?” will lead, he says. Among his biggest successes was a New Year’s trip to Harmony Nosara, an upscale surfing and yoga retreat in Costa Rica. After the website showed there wasn’t any availability on the days he was hoping to visit, he phoned the front desk and was told that the hotel could accommodate him if he were willing to change rooms during his stay. “I was in the most beautiful place, I didn’t mind having to move [rooms], and they were willing to work with me because of the inconvenience,” he says. In the end, he saved about 40 percent on rooms that typically run about $1,000 per night at that time of year. Wendy Perrin, the founder of a travel advice website, thinks front desk diplomacy may also work to your advantage in other scenarios: say, when you’re already at a hotel and trying to extend your stay, or you’re showing up last-minute, late at night, without a reservation. “The closer you get to the time when the value of the room is going to perish,” she notes, the likelier you are to get a discount.Sign up for newslettersMany hospitality brands, marketing consortiums and booking sites have newsletters you can sign up for with a complimentary membership. Though these dispatches are meant primarily as travel inspiration, they also tend to direct subscribers to a wide range of discounts. Small Luxury Hotels, for example, recently offered up to 20 percent off suites at about 168 properties, such as Torralbenc, a farm turned luxury retreat on the Spanish island of Minorca, and the Gaia Riverlodge, a cluster of thatch-roofed cabanas in Belize. And Mr. & Mrs. Smith promoted up to 35 percent off last-minute hotel stays over Easter weekend in destinations including Denver and Buenos Aires. Membership can confer other money-saving perks, too, says Perrin: upgrades, late checkouts, free meals and even the occasional free night.Call your agentTravel advisers and consultants who have longstanding relationships with hotel brands — relationships that generate a high volume of sales — can often pass along “agent-exclusive specials” to clients. Even luxury properties that don’t want to be seen as discounting publicly will sometimes give negotiated rates to preferred travel agents, notes Perrin, who recommends destination-specific travel advisers on her website.Be flexible with your datesShifting your check-in and checkout dates by even a day might yield appreciably lower room rates. “Maybe there’s a group in the hotel that’s taking 40 or 50 percent of the rooms, and the event ends on Wednesday night,” says the hospitality industry consultant Bjorn Hanson. “Everyone’s checking out Thursday morning and the hotel’s going to have really low occupancy.” The same sort of thing can happen when a block of rooms is about to come online after renovations: From one day to the next, the hotel might go from low inventory to high. Take New York’s Walker Hotel Tribeca, a ribbon and button factory converted into a boutique hotel with a rooftop bar. At press time, starting nightly rates during the week of May 12 ranged from $411 to $585. The rates for the 18th were as low as $237.Protect against price dropsThe booking site HotelSlash charges $50 annually to send subscribers properties with discounted rates at their intended destinations. A recent search for a long spring weekend in Paris turned up a fully refundable room at Les Bains Paris — the famous nightclub turned cultish hotel in the Marais — for $1,590 for three nights, while the hotel’s own site showed a total of $1,720 for the same stay. If you book, HotelSlash will watch for further price reductions so you can cancel and rebook at the same hotel, as long as you chose a refundable option. Even if you book a refundable room on a different site or through a hotel reservation line, you can forward the confirmation email to HotelSlash for rate monitoring. Magellan Luxury Hotels, another membership-based reservation service that offers competitive rates at upscale brands (including Aman and Rosewood Hotels & Resorts), has a RateCheck program that will automatically rebook you if a lower rate becomes available. And Tablet Hotels plans to introduce a similar program in May, when customers will start hearing about any price drops on bookings before cancellation penalties kick in. To be eligible, you’ll need to sign up for a $99 annual Tablet Plus membership that also gets you access to upgrades and daily breakfasts, among other extras at certain hotels. Source link

Source link

The Importance of a Reliable Water Heater: What Every Homeowner Should Know
Hot water is more than a luxury—it’s a necessity. From your morning shower to washing dishes after dinner, a dependable water heater plays a vital role in daily comfort and hygiene. At Innovative Plumbing & Heating Solutions, we understand the importance of having a water heating system that’s energy-efficient, reliable, and suited to the needs of your home.
Whether you're building a new home, upgrading an old system, or dealing with an unexpected breakdown, choosing the right water heater—and maintaining it properly—is essential.
Types of Water Heaters
There are several types of water heaters available, and each comes with its own set of advantages:
1. Storage Tank Water Heaters
The most common type, these systems store a fixed amount of hot water, ready for use. They're affordable and easy to install but may be less efficient over time.
2. Tankless (On-Demand) Water Heaters
These systems heat water as it’s needed, offering better energy efficiency and an endless hot water supply. They require a higher upfront investment but often reduce long-term energy costs.
3. Heat Pump Water Heaters
Also known as hybrid systems, these use electricity to move heat from the air or ground to heat water. They are highly efficient but may require more space.
4. Solar Water Heaters
Using energy from the sun, these systems are environmentally friendly and can significantly reduce energy bills. However, they work best with sufficient sunlight and may need a backup system.
Signs Your Water Heater May Need Servicing or Replacement
Inconsistent water temperature
Discoloured or rusty water
Strange noises coming from the tank
Leaking or pooling water near the unit
A noticeable drop in water pressure or supply
If you're experiencing any of these issues, it's worth scheduling an inspection to prevent further damage or inconvenience.
