My dearest friend,
I sure am delighted to talk to you once more. Time, as I inevitably forget, is a slippery fiend. But as long as I come back to write to you, time will not be my master.
It is rather confusing to acknowledge that the new school term starts in only four days. This month of freedom from routine has proved itself to be good to unwind and to explore new stuff; however, I do feel the need to go back to classes so I can keep learning all of the amazing stuff Psychology has to offer. But I should take these last few days to enjoy as much as I can and to steer my mind off school. I will have enough of that this year (and the following 1.5 years after this one)
Something fascinating happened a few days ago. I STARTED WRITING A SHORT STORY! It had been oh so long since I found myself in front of my computer, Scrivener open, and clicking my way into a trance where words actually found their way into the physical realm. It took me two days to finish said story, but I found such delight when I typed that last sentence. It was one of the most absurd stories I have ever written, involving a working telephone protruding from the water tank of a public subway toilet and a curious man named Tucker. In the end I had a blast writing it, it reminded me of how fun it was to write back when I published my first book, what feels like an eternity ago. I do wish to keep writing, even if I have to vomit out all of the absurd ideas I can come up with so I can find something that I deem worthy of publishing. Only time and practice will tell.
In other news, this Friday I will go to the movies to watch Nosferatu. I will take time tomorrow to watch the 1922 film, just so I don't go into the movies completely lost. I recall reading somewhere that there are some slight references to Murnau's film. It will be interesting to see two renditions of the same story made 100+ years apart.
I feel rather tired tonight. Maybe my workout was a bit harder than I thought and I've depleted all of my energy an hour earlier than usual. But it bothers me not, for I consider my day was rather productive. *I've remembered that I also had an appointment with the... dentist. As much as I understand the need for proper dental care and hygiene, I find it to be the most dreaded appointment I can make. I'd rather be impaled once a week with a covid test than go to the dentist once every six months. I simply can't stand it. Oh well, that's the way it is, unfortunately.
I shan't take more of your precious time, my friend. I will do some light reading before heading to bed, for I will have to get up and work out earlier if I wish to go to Costco by the time they open and it doesn't become an absolute nightmare to be surrounded by so. many. people. I enjoy Costco and Kirkland products, don't get me wrong; but there's only one Costco in my city. To say it's overcrowded would be the understatement of the year, and I have lost any ounce of patience I could have had for that place. But that's the price to pay living in a big city. Can't wait for the day that I can move to a less populated place. Anything below the million inhabitants would be much appreciated.
Anyways, it's good to talk to you, my friend. It really is a cherished moment of my week. May the wind be at your back and good fortune touch your hand.
Your friend,
Quill.

For the Jaws au, maybe Jaws first visit to the dentist? Like I just picture Wanda and Nat talking to the dentist, explaining they just want Jaws’ teeth check cause they never had any kind of checkup. Meanwhile the dentist is staring behind them at Jaws who is grinning at them with all their sharp teeth showing.
This was a fun one to write
Now, Wanda and Nat are people with common sense, so they’re not going to a run of the mill dentist for Jaws of all people… That and they already tried one and they refused outright when they saw Jaws’ pointy grill, so they decided to go for a specialist.
“So…You just want a standard checkup, is that right?” The specialist, Dr. Kirkland hadn't taken their eyes off of Jaws since they signed into the office. She had been informed of Jaws’ mutation beforehand, but that doesn’t really prepare you to see the real thing up close.
Natasha looked up from one of the dental posters that was hanging on one of the walls. “Yes, just to be sure everything’s healthy. Make sure there’s nothing damaged. They’re a bit of an abnormality as far as patients go, for sure, but since we heard that you’re one of the best dental specialists in the area could you take a look?”
Dr. Kirkland slowly nodded. ‘I’m glad I took a minor in marine biology…’
---Bonus---
Honestly, it wasn’t all that bad. There was a fear at first that Jaws would cut her with how sharp their teeth are, but both Wanda and Natasha assured that that wouldn’t be an issue.
So there was a standard checkup, Jaws doesn’t have much crowding, no tooth decay or cavities (on account of their teeth and jaws being reinforced by adamantium and consistently drinking saltwater) Though there were bristles from their previous toothbrushes that were stuck in certain places that needed to be removed.
For Jaws, it was weird at first having a stranger poking around in their mouth, but Wanda and Nat largely kept their mind off of it.
With the general checkup done, Dr. Kirkland gave Jaws a professional tooth cleaning and gave a prescription for some specific fluoride toothpaste for them to use as well as some recommendations for toothbrushes with reinforced firm bristles.
“Should I also include a prescription for a mouthguard, or?” The specialist looked up from her papers.
Natasha and Wanda looked at each other, and then at Jaws. “I mean they haven’t split their mouth open in their sleep, so I think they should be fine,”
In the end, all parties left relieved. It was actually pretty interesting for Dr. Kirkland to get an up close look at serrated teeth and everything, so she approved of becoming Jaws’ dental doctor for the foreseeable future.
Jaws left the dental specialist with pearly whites and a lollipop that day.
