At Smiles and Hearts, as a trusted paediatric dentist in Gurugram, we know that sports can pose risks to your child’s teeth. Here are three essential ways to keep their smile safe:
Use a Custom-Fitted Mouthguard 🏈 A custom-fitted mouthguard provides the best protection against dental injuries during sports. It cushions blows to the mouth and prevents damage to teeth and gums.
Ensure Proper Helmets and Gear 🎽 Make sure your child wears the appropriate sports gear and helmets designed for their specific activity. Proper equipment can significantly reduce the risk of facial injuries.
Regular Dental Check-Ups 📅 Regular visits to your paediatric dentist in Gurugram can help identify any potential dental issues early. We can also provide advice on additional protective measures based on your child’s sports activities.
Protecting your child’s teeth is as important as training for the game. Keep their smile safe and healthy with these simple steps! 😊

Dental Safety Tips for Athletes
Highlighting the Risks: Participating in sports activities often involves physical contact and potential impacts, elevating the risk of dental injuries such as chipped, fractured, or knocked-out teeth. Being aware of these potential risks is the primary action toward actively safeguarding your dental health while participating in your favorite sports.
Tips for Mouthguard Care: Mouthguards serve as indispensable protective gear, significantly reducing the likelihood of dental injuries during sports. We advise athletes to diligently clean their mouthguards after each use with mild soap and water to maintain hygiene. Ensuring proper ventilation when storing mouthguards is essential for preventing bacterial growth and maintaining their effectiveness in providing reliable protection during sports activities.
Emphasizing the Role of Mouthguards: Mouthguards serve as a vital shield, absorbing and disturbing the impact forces to minimize the risk of dental injuries. Whether opting for custom-fit or boil-and-bite mouthguards, wearing this protective gear substantially decreases the chances of sustaining damage to your teeth and mouth during sports activities.
Urging Immediate Dental Care: In the unfortunate event of a dental injury during sports, swift action is imperative. Seeking immediate dental care is crucial for preserving a knocked-out tooth and preventing further complications. Delaying treatment can exacerbate the injury and potentially lead to long-term dental issues. Remember, your dental health is our priority, and we’re here to provide prompt assistance when you need it most.
Highlighting the Importance of Quick Action: Preserving a knocked-out tooth requires prompt action. Suppose a tooth is dislodged during sports activities. In that case, athletes should gently rinse it with water (without scrubbing), attempt to reinsert it into the socket if feasible or store it in a suitable medium like milk or saliva until they can receive dental care. Time is of the essence in preserving the tooth’s viability and maximizing the chances of successful re-implantation.
Providing Educational Resources: At Sabka Dentist, we’re committed to empowering athletes with the knowledge and resources they need to protect their teeth during sports activities. Our educational materials, online articles, and insights from our experienced dental professionals offer valuable guidance on maintaining optimal oral health while engaging in sports.
Prioritize Your Dental Safety: In conclusion, sports dentistry plays a pivotal role in preserving oral health for athletes of all levels. By understanding the risks, utilizing mouthguards, promptly seeking dental care, and taking decisive action in emergencies, athletes can confidently safeguard their smiles and participate in sports activities. Remember, your dental safety is paramount, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. “My name is Nour Saqer, for the name remains when all is lost. I turned 22 years old last November. Yes. My youthful time was wasted on horrible days. Yes. Those days still continue.
My name is Nour Saqer. And I am 22 years old. I am a fifth-year dental student at Al-Azhar University of Gaza. I am an aspiring student. I am eager and passionate about my studies. Until the last minute, I was allowed to stay at my house on Oct. 7th. 2023 I was still working on a scientific research proposal that was supposed to be published by me and my teammates of young researchers late in November, that year.
This picture of me was taken late 2022 during an international dental conference held in campus.
During my college years alone. Me and my family have had to forcefully evacuate, and run out of our house four times. In 2019, 2021, 2022, and finally in 2023. Each time was in fear of the same threat; meeting our deaths under rubble. My name is Nour Saqer. And I have always been a Gazan. Each of those past times. If we were fortunate enough, we would discover that our home was in repairable damage. There would be a roof over our heads still. We were still fortunate. We still had luck.
But ever since October 7th. I haven't returned home. We were among the first families to evacuate Al-Rimal neighborhood from the very first day of this genocide, we had to turn our backs to it and expect no return. Two floors of my family house, along with my father's store, and only source of income, have been severely destructed due to neighboring missiles. And my university buildings were heavily exploded. All forms of life have been reaped from my city. My hometown.
This is what's left of our campus. I was supposed to have my graduation ceremony here.
My name is Nour Saqer. And I had an enthusiastic heart. And an energetic body. I played sports and walked down every street until I couldn't. I loved my family and friends dearly. I wrote poems about them. I spent time loving them and cherishing their presence. I loved life with all its little things. With all its unattainable things. I loved the grass and the tall buildings. And I loved all people. I loved my people. All their faces. All their talents. All their hidden lives. All we shared. Until we didn't. Everything I have ever loved I lost.
This picture of me was taken during a happy moment on the roof of our house.
This is all that is left of that picture now.
I am currently sheltered in Rafah with my family of 7. Sharing a place with 30 other homeless people. By the end of Ramadan, me and my family would have to evacuate and seek shelter for yet the 8th time due to housing problems. I am so tired of not having any sense of stability. Nothing to guarantee. Nothing to call my own. Every passing minute the situation in Rafah gets worse. Every passing minute I am losing loved ones and relatives. Every passing minute costs me my sanity. Costs me health. Costs me my basic rights to simply live.
I have nothing left to lose or pay the price with except for my life.
I don’t know how to retell my life story in limited words, how to make the most ordinary moments sound precious. How do I equate my value to someone deserving a life of safety? How do I shape myself as someone worth saving?
I have been interviewing myself for days. All my stories are choking me. All my grief is piling up and muting me. I keep trying to find a way to present the best of myself. To make myself someone you'd want to look at. Listen to. And even more,
Help.
I am finally placing both hope and faith in your helpful hands. I am asking you. Please put an end to this continuing tragedy. And help me get to safety. Before it's too late.
It should be in your knowledge that:
It costs $5,000 per person to get out of Rafah through the Boarder Crossing to Egypt. The rest of the donations will be to secure my tution money for the fifth and final year of dental school.
Thank you.”
#kindly read this !!#please help nour in any way you can#if you can’t donate then at least ask your friends & family to share & donate#it will count as something#palestine#gaza#free palestine#from the river to the sea palestine will be free#🇵🇸#ethnic cleansing#genocide

If you wanna know just how full of bullshit the Trans Rights Movement is, just consider this. There have been actual genocides in history. There are actual genocides happening right now.
The one that comes to mind for me is the Uyghurs in China, a small cultural minority with their own practices, language, and religion (Muslim) in a violently secular country. The Chinese government has set up a surveillance state in the Xinjiang Uyghur Region in Northwestern China, and they monitor the Uyghurs comings and goings from their houses, novel hobbies such as weightlifting and working out, and expenses.
If they feel as though someone of the Uyghur community is not up to par, they will lock their bank account and forcibly imprison them in a reeducation center where they are beaten, shocked with cattle prods, and forced to eat pork and consume alcohol. They are not allowed to speak their native language, they are made to praise Xi Jinping, and aren't allowed to follow any of their cultural practices. Uyghur children are removed from their parents and placed with "proper families" and aren't allowed to see their family.
Uyghurs are suffering a genocide and are in danger of having their culture and language erased. There are currently innocent people imprisoned, having committed no crime except the crime of where they were raised and who by. There are people being hurt by government power to 'reeducate' them.
Let's compare all of this horror to the 'trans genocide' in America. Trans people have the right to self identification, even in situations where it disadvantages others, such as sports. Gender affirming treatment is covered by all insurances while other prescriptions like insulin, medicines for heart conditions, mobility aids, and even child birth and prenatal care aren't. Even in countries with free healthcare, gender affirming care is covered while dental, vision, and hearing isn't.
Trans people have successfully campaigned for biology to not be properly taught in schools because it's 'bigotry' and have successfully removed terms like women's healthcare, breast feeding, and maternal care from the medical sector. There is no wait and see method for trans youth, no looking into comorbid conditions like eating disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, or just confusion about their sense of self.
Lesbians and Gay men are not allowed to have their own spaces anymore, everything must be trans inclusive. Refusing sex based on genitalia is transphobia. Butch lesbians and feminine gay men who aren't considering transitioning are also transphobic. Feminists fighting for women's rights must include trans women or they can be doxxed and threatened with no consequences for their stalkers. Trans rapists and killers are housed in the prison that aligns with their gender identity regardless of the safety risks they pose to other inmates.
Comparing the two, it's obvious that there is no trans genocide. That's a lie made up to excuse the bad actions of Trans Rights Activists.
#trans women are men#trans men are women#gender critical#radfem#radfem safe#radfems please interact#radfems do touch#women = adult human female#tran genocide#there is no trans genocide#womens rights#Uyghurs#save the Uyghurs#justice for the Uyghurs

Best Mouthguards for Different Ages: Protecting Smiles from Kids to Adults
In the world of sports and physical activities, it is crucial to prioritise dental protection. Mouthguards play a vital role in safeguarding our teeth and smiles from potential injuries. Different age groups, from kids to adults, require specific mouthguards to ensure optimal protection.
Choosing the right mouthguard is essential to provide maximum comfort and safety. This blog post will explore the best mouthguards in Melbourne suitable for different ages and highlight their features and benefits.
Mouthguards for Kids
When it comes to children, mouthguards are a must during sports activities. Kids are more prone to accidents and injuries due to their developing motor skills and lack of coordination. Parents should invest in high-quality mouthguards to protect their teeth from potential trauma.
There are two types of mouthguards available for kids: custom and boil-and-bite. Dental professionals individually make custom mouthguards and offer the best fit and protection. On the other hand, boil-and-bite mouthguards can be moulded at home by boiling them in water and then biting into them to achieve a personalised fit.
When selecting a mouthguard for kids, it is important to consider key features such as comfort, durability, and ease of cleaning. Look for mouthguards in Melbourne that are BPA-free and have good shock absorption properties.
Mouthguards for Teens
As children transition into their teenage years, the need for mouthguards remains crucial. Teenagers are often involved in more intense sports activities, increasing the risk of dental injuries. Additionally, teenagers with orthodontic appliances or braces require special mouthguards to protect their teeth and appliances.
Specialised mouthguards tailored to teenage athletes' needs are available in the market. These mouthguards offer extra protection and comfort, ensuring that teenagers can focus on their performance without worrying about dental injuries. Some top mouthguard brands suitable for teens include Under Armour Armour Fit Mouthguard, Shock Doctor Braces Mouthguard, and Venum Challenger Mouthguard.
It is essential to consult an orthodontist when selecting a mouthguard for teenagers with braces. They can guide the most suitable options and ensure proper fit and protection.
Mouthguards for Adults
Even as adults, dental protection should never be overlooked during sports and recreational activities. Adults can face potential dental issues such as chips, fractures, and tooth loss. A mouthguard can cushion and minimise the risk of such injuries.
Various types of mouthguards are available for adults, depending on their specific needs. Custom-fit mouthguards, made by dental professionals, offer the highest protection and comfort. They are individually designed to fit the unique contours of an individual's mouth, offering superior fit and stability.
Night guards are another type of mouthguard suitable for adults. They are primarily used to prevent teeth grinding and clenching during sleep, which can lead to dental issues. Night guards are made from soft materials and offer comfort while protecting the teeth from grinding forces.
Some recommended adult mouthguards include Shock Doctor Pro Mouthguard, Venum Predator Mouthguard, and SISU Max 2.4 Mouthguard. These mouthguards are known for their durability, comfort, and excellent shock absorption properties.
Denture Wearers and Mouth Protection
Denture wearers face unique challenges regarding mouth protection during physical activities. Traditional mouthguards may not fit properly over top denture Melbourne, causing discomfort and potential damage to the dentures.
Specially designed denture-friendly mouthguards are available to address this issue. These mouthguards are constructed with a unique design that accommodates denture Melbourne comfortably while providing adequate protection to the natural teeth.
Denture-friendly mouthguards are made from flexible materials that adapt to the shape of dentures and natural teeth. They offer a secure fit, preventing movement or displacement during physical activities.
Conclusion
Dental protection through mouthguard usage is of utmost importance across different age groups. From kids to adults, mouthguards in Melbourne provide the necessary cushioning and shock absorption to prevent dental injuries. By choosing the right mouthguard, individuals can ensure maximum comfort and protection. Whether it's for kids, teens, adults, or denture wearers, numerous options in the market cater to specific needs and preferences. Prioritising dental protection through mouthguard usage is a simple yet effective way to safeguard our smiles and maintain oral health.

Emergency Dental Care: What To Do When You Need A Dentist Fast
Dental emergencies, while not common, can happen at any time. It is important to be prepared for anything. Common dental emergencies include: broken or cracked teeth, a broken jaw, a tooth that has been knocked out, an object caught between teeth, and a severe toothache.
Below are some tips on how to deal with urgent dental situations. We hope you find this information useful and that it will help you in the event of an emergency.
WHAT TO DO IF YOUR CHILD HAS BITTEN LIP OR TONGUE?
If your child has suffered a severe enough bite to the lip or tongue that it is causing bleeding, clean the area gently with water and apply a cold compress (a cold, wet towel or washcloth pressed firmly against the affected area) to reduce swelling or prevent it altogether.
REMOVING AN OBJECT STUCK BETWEEN TEETH
If your child has something caught between his or her teeth, use dental floss to remove it gently. Never try to remove a stuck object using a metal, plastic, or sharp tool.
BROKEN, CHIPPED, OR FRACTURED TOOTH
If your child has chipped or broken off a piece of a tooth, rinse his or her mouth with warm water, then apply a cold compress to reduce swelling. Try to locate and save the tooth fragment that broke off as the pediatric dentist may be able to bond the fragment back on the tooth.
KNOCKED-OUT TOOTH
If your child's permanent tooth has been knocked out entirely, find the tooth and rinse it with water (no soap), taking care only to touch the crown of the tooth (the part you can see when it's in place). Place the tooth in a clean container filled with milk.
LOSE TOOTH
If your child has a very loose tooth, it should be removed to avoid the risks of swallowing or inhaling it.
TOOTHACHE
If your child is experiencing a toothache, rinse their mouth with warm water and check for anything caught between their teeth. If the pain persists, use a cold compress to help. Do not apply heat or aspirin directly to the affected area, as this could damage the gums. Children's pain relievers can be taken orally.
BROKEN JAW
If you think your child might have a broken jaw, put a cold compress on the area to reduce swelling. Then, call our emergency number and/or go to the hospital right away. The cause of broken jaws can be due to blow to head in an accident or any sport related activities. Very severe head injuries can be very dangerous and even deadly.
AVOIDING INJURY
Parental guidance can avoid dental emergencies for children. common slips and falls around the home can be prevented by child-proofing your living spaces. in order to avoid toothaches, regular brushing, flossing, and dental visits are essential. furthermore, hard foods should be avoided, and car safety seats should always be utilized for young children while seatbelts should be mandatory for older children. if your child participates in contact sports, please inquire about custom-fitted mouthguards to protect their teeth.
At Giggles and Grins Pediatric Dentistry, we are here to help you with all of your dental needs, including emergency situations. If you experience a dental emergency, please call our office +1 817-488-3533 immediately.

So lately I’ve gained interest in American Hairless terriers (mostly because they don’t have the dentition problems other hairless dogs have) Could you please list a list of pros and cons, and what made you go with AHT over other hairless dog breeds? I’ve been leaning towards them because they seem to be less primitive and more trainable than the other hairless breeds while still being velcro, and have some terrier-tude but not as much as other terriers do. I also wanted to ask about his weekly grooming process and if he needs sunscreen every time he goes out, or does a shirt suffice? Can they also play safely with other dogs?(like do they have a bigger risk of injury because of their lack of hair?) thank you and I hope you and your dogs have a good day!
(This took so long for me to answer, I’m so sorry! I’m a terrible procrastinator with the attention span of a cactus 🌵)
So Furby is my first AHT! I’ve only had a touch of experience with the breed before getting him because his breeder also has Black Russian Terriers and we became friends through our local kennel club training classes. I got an AHT because I’ve always loved hairless breeds and I wanted something to be able to compete with in various sports.
All that to say that I’m certainly not a breed expert yet, but here are my observations so far!
Pros
Bald. My BRT is a lot of upkeep with his hair and I love that it takes me 15 minutes to bathe, dry, file nails, and maybe put a bit of lotion on about once a week. A fun fact: AHTs do not have the same dental issues that most hairless breeds have either.
Compact. I’ve seen a wide range of sizes for AHTs but at most they’re no bigger than maybe a beagle (there’s one I show against built like a damn tank but he’s not outrageously huge)
Smart. Sometimes terrifyingly so. Furby found out how to escape expens from about 5 weeks old. His attention span isn’t always zeroed in and focused but when it is, he picks up on things very quickly.
Fashionable!! Personally, I prefer light sun clothes to sunscreen. A good pair of lightweight pajamas for coverage and a bit of sunscreen on his face, ears, and tail. Clothes are very important for bald bebes and it’s one of my favorite things to have countless outfits for the Boi.
Attitude! This honesty leans both ways but I love a spunky terrier attitude and this boy has it in spades! It also means he can be A LOT, especially around other dogs. I will admit that he didn’t get as thorough of a socialization experience as my BRT did when he was a puppy, though. Socialization is INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT with these guys! He also carries the ‘fears nothing’ traits of terriers.
He’s just so fucking funny. I can be annoyed with him about something and then he goes straight into making me laugh about it. Definitely a class clown who must have all eyes on him and nothing less.
Cons
These aren’t terrible but just things that could be aversive for some people
Energy. This is only a mild con for me just because I’m a low energy person, but I knew what I was getting into and wanted a competitive dog. He’s definitely challenged me as a dog owner/handler but in the best ways.
Destructive. This could just be a Furby thing to be fair. He can’t have beds, only blankets, because he shreds them. He also enjoys gutting plush toys. I let him work it out on cardboard boxes and paper for some controlled chaos.
As far as the safety issues, he wrestles with my BRT regularly and this is something my breeder’s dogs also do with her BRTs. He does get some scratches and scuffs sometimes but nothing major. I do put vet wrap on his ankles when we play with his flirt pole, though, because he goes absolutely nuts for it and skins up the area under his brake pads.
If you have any other questions I’m happy to provide what I can!

Plasma Therapy Market Dynamics, Driving Factors, and Applications by 2032
Plasma therapy, commonly known as Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, is an innovative medical treatment that utilizes a patient’s own blood plasma, enriched with platelets, to promote healing and tissue regeneration. The therapy has gained popularity in various medical fields, including orthopedics, dermatology, sports medicine, and cosmetic surgery. Plasma therapy involves extracting blood from the patient, concentrating the platelets, and injecting this PRP back into the injured or affected area. Known for its anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties, plasma therapy is being explored for its potential to address conditions ranging from joint injuries to hair loss and skin rejuvenation.
The Plasma Therapy Market Size was valued at USD 417.0 million in 2023 and is expected to reach USD 1087.0 million by 2032 and grow at a CAGR of 11.25% over the forecast period 2024-2032.
Future Scope
As plasma therapy continues to gain traction, future developments are likely to focus on personalized treatments and combination therapies. Advances in cellular biology and regenerative medicine could enable plasma therapy to be customized to each patient's genetic and biological makeup, enhancing efficacy. Additionally, research into combining PRP with stem cell therapies or growth factors is expected to amplify regenerative outcomes, opening new possibilities in fields like neurology and cardiology. With clinical evidence supporting its safety and effectiveness, plasma therapy is poised to become a staple in various therapeutic and cosmetic applications.
Trends
Recent trends in plasma therapy include the increased use of automated PRP extraction systems, better platelet concentration techniques, and a growing interest in platelet-poor plasma (PPP) applications. Automated PRP systems simplify the extraction process, offering consistency and reducing contamination risks. Enhanced concentration methods ensure that the PRP contains the optimal level of growth factors for healing. Meanwhile, PPP, once considered a byproduct, is being explored for its potential in managing inflammatory conditions and even acne, expanding the scope of plasma-based treatments.
Applications
Plasma therapy is used in multiple medical and aesthetic fields. Orthopedics and sports medicine employ it for treating soft tissue injuries, osteoarthritis, and tendinitis. In dermatology and cosmetics, PRP therapy is popular for skin rejuvenation, acne scar treatment, and hair restoration. Dental surgery also uses PRP to promote faster healing in oral tissues after procedures. Furthermore, plasma therapy is being studied for chronic pain management and even certain neurodegenerative conditions, illustrating its wide-ranging potential.
Key Points
Plasma therapy utilizes a patient’s own platelets to accelerate healing and tissue repair.
Future developments include personalized PRP treatments and combination therapies.
Trends involve automated PRP extraction, improved concentration techniques, and PPP use.
Applications cover orthopedics, sports medicine, dermatology, cosmetic treatments, and pain management.
PRP therapy is widely recognized for its regenerative and anti-inflammatory benefits.
Conclusion
Plasma therapy has emerged as a promising, minimally invasive option for regenerative medicine and aesthetic treatments. Its ability to harness the body’s own healing processes has broadened its appeal across multiple medical disciplines. As research and technology continue to enhance the efficacy and range of plasma therapy applications, this treatment modality is set to play a central role in next-generation healthcare and cosmetic practices. The Importance of Using a Boxing Mouthpiece for Safe and Effective Sparring
In combat sports like boxing and MMA, safety is a priority, especially during intense sparring sessions. One of the most essential pieces of protective gear is the boxing mouthpiece. Not only does it protect your teeth, gums, and jaw, but it also ensures you can train effectively without the fear of injury. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned fighter, using a quality boxing mouthpiece or MMA mouthpiece is crucial for both safety and performance. Here's why every fighter should prioritize this gear in their training routine.
1. Protects Teeth, Gums, and Jaw
The primary function of a boxing mouthpiece is to protect your teeth, gums, and jaw from the impact of punches and strikes. During sparring, even a minor hit to the face can cause serious dental damage if you’re not wearing a mouthpiece. A properly fitted MMA mouthpiece absorbs the shock from strikes, minimizing the risk of broken teeth, gum injuries, and jaw fractures. It acts as a barrier between your teeth, preventing them from clashing together upon impact.
2. Enhances Breathing and Focus
A well-designed boxing mouthpiece should not only protect you but also allow you to breathe comfortably. Breathability is important during sparring because proper airflow helps you maintain stamina and focus. A poorly fitted mouthpiece can obstruct breathing, making it difficult to perform at your best. Look for a custom-fit or boil-and-bite MMA mouthpiece that stays securely in place while allowing you to breathe easily, ensuring your focus remains on your technique and strategy.
3. Reduces Risk of Concussions
Wearing a boxing mouthpiece helps reduce the risk of concussions. By absorbing the impact of a blow, a mouthpiece can lessen the shock that travels through your jaw to your head. This added protection is especially important in both boxing and MMA, where head strikes are frequent and powerful.
4. Durability and Long-Lasting Protection
When investing in a boxing mouthpiece or MMA mouthpiece, durability is key. YOKKAO offers a range of high-quality mouthpieces designed to withstand intense training and sparring sessions. Protecting Your Child’s Teeth: Dental Care Tips for Parents
A healthy smile is an essential part of your child’s overall well-being. Starting early with good dental habits can set the foundation for a lifetime of oral health. Here are some tips to help you protect your child’s teeth:
1. Start Early:
