The thing about Wheel of Time is everyone in it is in an epic fantasy except the Forsaken, who are all in a workplace sitcom where everyone hates each other.

Ishamael: If I let Lanfear out that might make manipulating Lews Therin easier. But she’ll probably want me to let Asmodean out so she can use him in her schemes because she can manipulate him easily. And if let Lanfear out I should probably let Moghedien out so that Lanfear doesn’t try to take complete control over Tel’aran’rhiod and it’ll keep her annoyed that she can’t always get her way. But if I let Moghedien out I’ll have to let Graendal out because she’s the only one Moghedien will talk to, and if I let Graendal out I should probably let Sammael out because he’ll distract her enough that she’ll scheme against him and not me. And I should probably let Demandred out then to keep Sammael on the edge and paranoid that Demandred is scheming against him. And maybe I should let Semirhage out just so that they all stay in line…

One of the things that delights me most about the Forsaken is that most of them so badly want to be more then human, and what drives that desire, that need to transcend mere mortality varies from Forskaken to Forsaken, from sheer pride (Lanfear), to fear of death (Asmodean), to a need to escape mortal weakness and pain (Graendal), to simple desire to be seen and to matter (Moghiden) but no matter how hard they run, no matter how much power they gather, what armies they command, what rules of reality they defy, they are still painfully inescapably human. Even cheating death dosen't change that.
They are still petty and caring and cruel by turns, Lanfear still loves Lews Therin in a way she can never deny, Moghiden still can't conquer the fear that controls her, Graendal can not bury her heartache deep enough, Asmodean can not undo the past, Demandred can never convince himself he is good enough, Semirhage can not satisfy her thirst for control, Messana can never convince herself she is brilliant enough to feel truly validated.
The Forsaken are caged by the humanity they want to reject. They imagine themselves as god kings in waiting, who will remake the world in their own image when the Dark One wins, but they are no more boiled down to the bones of who they are, then those they want to subjugate, just flawed, just as painfully, overwhelmingly human as the heroes, and the failure to realize that is what is their undoing.

taim being demandred would turn rand neglecting the black tower into a comedy instead of an infuriatingly stupid decision. demandred just repeatedly does increasingly obvious shady shit at the black tower to try and lure rand to come give him attention, and rand doesn't care at all.

It occurs to me the show may not need Demandred at all let alone Taimandred…
Just caught up with Season 2 and one key message / quote from Episode 8 is Lews’ and Ishy’s “I don’t want to do this anymore”. Ishy didn’t want to live, but Lews didn’t want to kill his friend anymore.
Isn’t the latter a parallel to Taim’s storyline at the first half of Black Tower… that he didn’t want to kill off his students like what the Dragon needed, having to have killed his first student before (as he hinted in LOTC’s beginning), but had to use poisoned wine and a cup of sleep and anything just so that the Black Tower can function safely?
In this case, the more efficient way to handle Taim’s plot is actually letting Ishy to persuade him to the dark…
“Join me, and I’d end your suffering of having to kill your loved ones - a privilege even Lews Therin (the Dragon himself) could not enjoy”

Rereading Lord of Chaos is SO funny when you read it knowing that RJ was writing Taim as Demandred at the time. Bashere thinks Taim looks wrong and he’s just like “oh I shaved.” Rand tells him “Taim at least you didn’t do anything as evil as Demandred, who murdered two whole cities.” Taim smirks the entire time he swears loyalty to Rand. The man’s vibes are rancid and I love it

Ilyena ‘Sunhair’ Therin Moerelle my beloved.
Like we know nothing about her but what’s implied makes me a little crazy.
She’s got three names which implies that she went to and graduated from Collam Daan university or maybe she even worked as a researcher there! Maybe that’s where she met Lews Therin and Demandred. Did she know Lanfear and the other future Forsaken who we know went there? Were they friends before everything went wrong? Did she know Mesaana and the fact her research grant got rejected???????
What made her choose Lews Therin over Demandred (before he turned to the Shadow) and did that affect her friendships with the others as badly as Lanfears and Lews breakup did? Also girl, if you saw the absolute bomb that would have been Lanfear and Lews breakup why would you get with Lews? How much did you love that man!
She was also probably an Aes Sedai and was probably a very powerful Aes Sedai. I don’t have any evidence of this but it feels right. Which also implies that she was a member of the Hall of Servants so what kind of conflict would have sprung up between her and Lews when that split came on how to end the war of power. We know that all the women sided against all the men (bit odd Mr Jordan but ok). So why did she choose to side against her husband? What was that thing that finally pushed her to stand against him.
Which implies that Ilyena was an active participant in the War of Power. Whether as a fighter in the field for the forces of the light or as more of a backseat general she must have been busy, probably fighting Lanfear, but the Lady must have used Bale fire at least once I feel it in my soul.
And what kind of effect would that have had her and Lews relationship? The impact on there family? And is the war what finally pushed them apart enough that they found themselves with opposing ideas of how to save the world, unable to reconcile them. Is that what pushed Lews to seal the bore anyway without the approval of the Hall, his wife and probably without telling Ilyena anything?
And most importantly how did she react to Lews madness after going through all of that together and there possibly being such a rift between them?
Idk I just think that she’s such a cool character and could have been so much and had so much more to her than just being Lews Therins wife that he cry’s over.

Just learned that some fans thought that Taim was Demandred. But wasn't Taim around before Demandred got out of prison?

Would just be hilarious if he was talking about Sammael and Demandred here and honestly thought they were Lews Therin Telamon's friends he corrupted. That's really peak Forsaken behaviour there, thinking you've corrupted someone when you've just found another petty asshole with Lews Therin Telamon shaped insecurities.
Ishamael: I have corrupted two of Lews' friends. Moghedien: You didn't corrupt shit. Ishamael: I corrupted them.

Since the rest of the Forsaken are out and about; I can begin my campaign to have Alexej Manvelov and Barry Keoghan cast as Demandred and Sammael; just so they can have another depressing lunch meeting with Fares Fares like in that Chernobyl series

Another random thought: since the Forsaken where sealed separately from The Dark One in the show and as part of a targeted strike (likely in preparation for the attack on The Bore) that means they are the Forsaken LTT thought where the most dangerous and that he needed to knock off the board before proceeding to his boss fight.
That means that any Forsaken the show cuts is one Lews Therin didn't think was worth bothering with.
