Você sente a dor em cada página em cada palavra.

Claro, ninguém sobrevive realmente sozinho, mas aprende a conviver com o mínimo. ' Longe Daqui ' vai além de falar sobre sobrevivência, fala sobre resistência, quando o preconceito é gritante você tem que lidar com os olhos, mas não só eles com as acusações e com certeza se você quer viver você resiste.

Mas também fala do amor puro e genuíno de uma criança que entende o que de verdade é amar. Mesmo com os anos e com os erros. Existe perdão e com certeza cumplicidade. 

Ah! E claro existe um mistério, um segredo e uma verdade. O quão disposto você está a ir em uma situação dessas.

So much beauty in one book. Under Delia Owens’ pen, the marsh is a living, breathing, magical being of Nature. With such gorgeous prose, a moral stance is made about nature and humanity, so strong it seems irrefutable. Achieved in an amoral portrait of characters. No good, nor bad—just are. Haven’t liked and rooted for a character so completely in a long time. Kya might be my favourite now, I must admit. Gorgeous. Perfect. This should be a textbook for every writer. Well it’s true; I learned to live without them.” 🪶✨🪶✨🪶 Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens is a book that I’ve seen everywhere for a long time, and when I saw that it was being adapted into a movie, I knew it was time to pick it up for myself, and I’m glad I did. This gorgeously written novel follows Kya, a girl who lives in the marsh after being abandoned by her family. We watch as Kya struggles and learns how to look after herself and the marsh around her. We watch as she grows, and watch what she does to survive. I enjoyed Kya as a character, but at times she felt incredibly unrealistic. I was however, a fan of the relationships that she formed with Jumpin’, Mabel and with Tate. It was also incredibly powerful watching Kya become a well known author from the samples she collected through the novel. This book discussed some heavy and slightly distressing topics but it was done in such a sensitive way. There was honestly so much to unpack while reading this novel, and I absolutely loved the layering. I also loved that Owens was clearly well educated and cared deeply about the marsh. Is there a book that you have read, that had truly stuck with you and you find yourself thinking of it often? Where the Crawdads Sing by @authordeliaowens is one of those books for me. I often think of Kya and the marsh, they are almost real in my heart ❤️ When I passed by this marsh I knew I had to bring this book with me to take a pic! While this is not a Carolina shoreline marsh, it is a beautiful New England marsh surrounded by gorgeous foliage and full of wildlife! I wish I had the time to explore this marsh as Kya did with her marsh.
