Você sente a dor em cada página em cada palavra.

Claro, ninguém sobrevive realmente sozinho, mas aprende a conviver com o mínimo. ' Longe Daqui ' vai além de falar sobre sobrevivência, fala sobre resistência, quando o preconceito é gritante você tem que lidar com os olhos, mas não só eles com as acusações e com certeza se você quer viver você resiste.

Mas também fala do amor puro e genuíno de uma criança que entende o que de verdade é amar. Mesmo com os anos e com os erros. Existe perdão e com certeza cumplicidade. 

Ah! E claro existe um mistério, um segredo e uma verdade. O quão disposto você está a ir em uma situação dessas.

Is there a book that you have read, that had truly stuck with you and you find yourself thinking of it often? Where the Crawdads Sing by @authordeliaowens is one of those books for me. I often think of Kya and the marsh, they are almost real in my heart ❤️ When I passed by this marsh I knew I had to bring this book with me to take a pic! While this is not a Carolina shoreline marsh, it is a beautiful New England marsh surrounded by gorgeous foliage and full of wildlife! I wish I had the time to explore this marsh as Kya did with her marsh. ✨Fireflies In The Desert ✨

🌙There is something about the mystical, enchanted and soporific late March desert nights that embalm me in gentle and healing graces, in ways, that the shuddering morning can never hope to, perhaps it only in the cloudy, new moon horizons that the energy of the universe can wrap me in delicate joys, loosening the bewildering and suffocating grip of these uncertain weeks, deep in the midst of the pandemic. For with a new moon, there comes novel possibilities; a virus may not be able to withstand its potent alchemical iterations, for surely the moon would side with the less harmful of the two, for the benefit of the planet. While it remains to be seen, which that may be, in the darkness of these borderless hours, burning with the sun and shimmering with the stars, all of us in nature are becoming more attuned to the innocent rhythm and melodies of the whole, finding more of our barriers collapse, with the restrictions, as we all sit patiently in our homes, awaiting release.

Even in captivity, there are moments of levity that allow us to soar beyond these shelters, in which we are placed. Today, I received a gorgeous, dreamy, sequined, and crocheted barely pink chiffon dress from one of my favorite British brands, I received the package with anticipation, knowing that soon, there may be a chance, where I’ll be able to wear the dress, perhaps enjoy a glass of wine, and enjoy the blossoming fuchsia prickly pear cactus and the desert pink sand, as it saturates with the mysterious dance of the sun. Later, I also received a baywatch red hot water bottle, one that I hope to fill carefully with boiling water from a matching scarlet tea kettle, wrap in a towel and take along with a cup of strong black tea and dark chocolate to sit in the petite balcony garden and traipse carelessly trough the woven matrixes of reveries and reality. I also finished reading, “Where The Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owens, a mesmerizingly poetic, atmospheric and haunting story. I was transfixed with the descriptions of nature, of seabirds, seashells, feathers, mushrooms, salt water tides, and more, I felt the palpable energy of the coastal marshes, backdropped with the rich, multifaceted culture, history and food of the Deep South after 1945 to more recent times. The mellifluous chapters, illuminated the issues of race, prejudice, small mindedness, as well as redeeming relationships, forgiveness and hope, that may play a role in any persons life. The story lifted off, satisfyingly, with an intrepid, sensitive and charming protagonist, a gently rendered love story, a fraught and gripping murder mystery, the familiar southern legal tropes and naturalist sub plots, that fused me to the narrative. Just as a certain love may appear at the right time, one may also read the correct book at preordained hours, for while strapped by a pandemic to the walls of my home in a desert in Arizona, I was able to time travel to the misty, salty, gull, heron and fire fly anointed marshes of North Carolina, to where the crawdads sing. ⚓️

I’ve started a habit of listening to books instead of music while at work. I feel it helps my mind to stay focused instead of being lost in music, lost in thought (which isn’t such a bad thing...at times 😊). I’ve just finished this book and it is AMAZING!!!!
