me: the previous sovereign of elegance, glorier, had fiery red hair and won her title while wearing a black gown. she vanished 15 years ago, her last known location in the wishing woods. the same time frame that the other missing stylists were kidnapped by the paladins and locked up underground in the wishing woods. in the diary pages of an unknown stylist, the writer refers to the wish master as nothing more than a "puppet" of the dark, and remarks that they've been cruelly experimented on, their body tortured. "even bathing in this moonlight is a rare luxury." the banshee is only ever out at night, under the moonlight, but nobody save for you has actually encountered her clearly. those who might recognize her as glorier haven't ever seen the banshee themselves. the banshee refers to those she enthralls as her puppets, and there are multiple places where her body looks cracked and damaged, more like a porcelain doll than human skin. that same diary remarks that the writer has a daughter waiting at home, and that "even in this dire situation, i will never submit. the unyielding elegance within my resolute and noble soul is my last ace." a torn note found in the room where the humans were imprisoned states that the strongest were tortured and perished or disappeared, expressing a want to go home, written in a very similar manner to the way the banshee herself speaks at the end of your duel with her. if you fail, the banshee tells you to become her puppet and suffer alongside her. an imperfect victory mentions that memories are not enough. a brilliant stylist is rumored to have opened a realm that no one else has entered before, and some say that the most exceptional stylists might even create their own personal realms. cantore's poem states that should one be a fool, their soul will fall into "that bewildering realm" to become another puppet, ensnared for all eternity. "the bitter end awaits with no return, leading you into the heart of the night's abyss, where even the stars fade away." underground, those imprisoned stylists couldn't even see the stars. the reason they were locked up was to attempt to recreate the power of the aureum vase for chigda, who had made a deal with The Dark for eternal life. from him the power of the mutated vines returned, but he was not their original source, nor did they vanish when he was defeated without need for giroda's sacred power. those mutated vines bear great resemblance to the vines, thorns, and roses surrounding the banshee within the visuals of cantore's poem. the banshee wants her puppets to suffer with her, implying that she herself is already suffering. is she, too, a puppet of the dark? back then, could creating a realm have allowed her to escape? did something go wrong? did she, like giovanni, attempt to make a deal with the paladins or chigda, only for it to backfire? did she attempt to defeat chigda herself, only to become corrupt by the vines? if she was captured and held in the wishing woods and hails from florawish, why is it that the banshee now haunts the breezy meadow and shimmer pond specifically? igrainne forbade nonoy from investigating more about her past. the banshee chants a bewildering melody, not dissimilar to that melody of the wishing one from nonoy's music box, the one left with her by her birth mother. how much does igrainne know? was she worried for nonoy solely because of the nature of glorier's disappearance, or is there more to it? could the direct power of the wishful aurosa be enough to save the banshee? how much of her past life does the banshee remember? what am i missing?

Just hit a confidence roadblock in Infinity Nikki - I was doing so well going through the Swordsmith Ruins, I met the glowing lady knight, Giroda got some magical validation, and now we have to go and fight Chigda the Wish Master who is less Weekend at Bernie'sed and more possessed (the corrupt fascist Paladin faction has been covering this up/grooming him to become their new god - these little floating smurfs are fucking deranged you know), and I look up a guide and it says he's the hardest boss in Infinity Nikki. Friends, you know me. I barely beat Bouldy. I was able to defeat the Caged Greed primarily because I am surprisingly decent at punching a giant baby bird in the brain. My skills have not significantly improved since then.

Apparently I'm going to have to dodge (suck at dodging), jump to avoid attacks coming through the floor (suck at timing and have been traumatised by this sort of thing from Arceus), and after scoring a hit that lowers his shields, quickly shrink down and ride Momo through the gap in his shield then presumably unshrink and aim and fire to hit him in the goolies before the shields come back. I constantly get confused between the shoot and jump buttons in mid-battle, so introducing a third one to deal with (and quickly) feels doomed. And I have to execute all this three times in a row without dying.

To all the people I read on the internet saying the combat in Infinity Nikki is so easy and basic it's a letdown, I would say HA and also No.

I mean, I'm going to try, I just really don't wanna. I'm afraid it will be hard and make me feel stupid and clumsy.

Is Giroda even going to help me? He just got a sword! He should at least distract Chigda or ping him sometimes like the Sages in Tears of the Kingdom!

Finally... another Avicinda/Chigda truther... Do you think with his inability to deal with the death of the Wishing One, perhaps... he feels the same way about Chigda after his defeat? Like, obviously Avicinda is now in a position where he knows what Chigda did was wrong and is now actively working in a way that speaks true of the Wishing One, but you can't tell me after all those years, likely many centuries of serving under him, being the perfect paladin, (maybe loving him), that Avicinda will just be like: 'Yeah okay Chigda's dead, I'm okay with this'. You think he returns to his home after his shift, that's filled with little trinkets Chigda gifted him for being so good and obedient? That he has to sit there and read about the crimes of Chigda whilst muttering about how they got it all wrong, but he can't say anything? The anger that the other sprites only call him Chigda now with such distain, and don't add that Lord to his name like they should? You think, sometimes, he'll find himself outside the Temple of Wishes at night, like a dog waiting on the impossible return of their dead master? I think he does.

and Avicinda having a hard time reconciling his self loathing of not seeing past Chigda's lies with that inability to accept Chigda is dead...questioning how much of it was genuine or not but also clinging onto his memories of Lord Chigda...his own feelings were, are so real how could it have been anything else?

first of all, giovannis character story is so well contrived. i mean his character was imprisoned for 15 years and the first chance he is able to be released to the world, he was supposed to something like a missionary almost, spreading wish paper and stories of the wishing one. but he betrayed the faewish paladins and when he sought after the aureum vase he became a target. all that time he spent in the dungeons of the paladins secret base, he had it out for them once he got the chance. he found the aureum vase and made a wish, i dont remember what the wish specifically was, but probably something about defeating chigda. his wish was made and the world was reset, all except one detail: nikki. giovanni said it himself that nothing seemed out of place other than the appearance of nikki. its no wonder that giovanni carried through with his missionary business, and seeking out the aureum vase, just like he had once before, because there was no guarantee that nikki was the savior he wished for. so once he got his hands on the vase, it was empty. because unlike the world, the vase did not reset. in a nutshell. i really love the storyline, i need to finish making the dress im so far behind...

Endlessly funny to me the Infinity Nikki plot is so insane Giovanni pulled out this card and we all went "okay this might as well happen"
