I wonder what Dee is up to.

Right now he's trying to convince Pyrrole to go to sleep in her basket, but she's throwing one of her usual tantrums. Sometimes feels like I have a toddler and not a Toxel… and I have to compliment Dee for the patience he's showing with her.

I usually give up after a few minutes and let her keep playing for another hour or so, or I put her on my lap since she usually falls asleep when cuddling against me. But I can't always "spoil" her by letting her do what she wants and she should start to get used to sleeping alone...

Anyway, I'll go check on them in a bit just to make sure everything is alright.

Dr. Bella the Mega Audino takes the day shift mostly deals with children very sweet and kind but not a (metaphorical) doormat always whispering may or may not have a crush on a lucario named Cameron pronouns she/they

Dr. Gardenia the Leafeon  takes the night shift mostly deals with adults more deadpanned and direct but not rude or uncaring   normal volume lives with her 8 siblings pronouns she/her

Connor the Eevee (I forgot to draw him SEDFGHBNJ) works as the dispatcher deals with all ages casual but not unprofessional normal volume but occasionally loud secretly likes rap battling pronouns he/him

Kris the Waddle Dee not a doctor but takes care of people the best he can is scared of young kids shy and is most definitely a (metaphorical) doormat normal volume but often mumbles  sometimes would be reading a book for hours and not notice pronouns he/they/her

Okay so originally I had the shittiest memeiest URL for this blog under the name of snoo-pingas-usual. It was bad. Anyway my ex’s sister started stalking me and it was creepy so I put up that fake deleted code for a month or two and during that time I switched over to sporj, which was a running joke of a typo between me and my ex. And then Pocket Mortys came out and I was like ‘oh shit I might be able to snag a canon url’ so I went through the list of Mortys I encountered and found which ones weren't taken and thus I became spoonmorty.

However my favorite teammate has to be my first random shiny, my Audino. Listen I will yell about him for days and how he saved me in a Nuzlocke.

How's Dee going?

Dee is doing great! He got used quickly to the lab and adapted to the other Pokémons' routine and mine too.

He's a great help and now I feel better going to do field research because I know that the team members left at the lab are well cared for. I always felt a bit uneasy to leave them unattended (especially because Pyrrole is a little tornado sometimes), but also I didn't want to put them inside their Pokéballs every time I have to leave the lab for hours or half a day.

Dee is hardworking and kind-hearted. I think I couldn't have gotten a better Pokémon if I had applied for a PokéCenter certified Pokémon.

Right now, he's trying to get me to leave the desk and go rest since I spent the day getting the field around the lab ready for the winter. I still have something to do, but it's dark and cold so I'll have to continue tomorrow.

Dee is the man! Don't you agree?

I completely agree! Dee is the man and is the best man ever.

Even if he went through hell and back, Dee is still pretty much very positive, friendly, and strong-willed.

As soon as we got back to the lab, I took him for a quick tour to let him know where things are and to help him familiarize with the place and the surrounding area... and as soon as we were finished, he seemed already down to help with the work!

But I convinced him to take a couple of days for settling in and get to know the other Pokémons.

Which ones are you bringing?

I should be bringing with me a couple of Dr Setum's fossil mons (right now I'm at his place so they can get used to me) but for them I have all the paperwork done and ready.

Since I'm going as an associate, I was thinking to bring with me the Poison Gym's Sneasler - Nero - as its species it's considered the closest species to the Sneasel and Sneasler found centuries ago in other regions. I have the paperwork, but- well I don't know if someone might give me the side-eye because it's a rare species. We also had some poachers trying to catch and smuggle out some, the other week…

I'd like to bring with me Dee and Tabitha - Audino and Incineroar - but I can't find out if they are allowed to enter Paldea or not, the same goes for Zubat. I'd like to know if it's better to leave them in someone else's care in the meanwhile or if I can bring them with me... Depending on who will be able to enter, I'll pick who will have to remain here.

Maybe I'm just overthinking. But I'd like to avoid any source of stress for the Pokémons (and for me) and being held at customs for all the checks it's a tad bit stressful, imho.

Also, I know that often people with Poison types (and Dark types too) tend to get flagged down for inspection and interrogations because it's a type often used by evil teams. I say this as a person that got interrogated in the past because "having too many Poison types is suspicious"…

Woah. Did Dee get almost murdered?

The poor thing was used as a "training dummy", from what I was told by the employee of the Unovan shelter I got in touch with.

Thanks to the help of the couple that found him and brought him to the closest Pokémon Center, they were able to figure out what could have happened to him.

Sadly, it's widely known that many trainers tend to abuse the kindness of Audino and often purposely search them in the wild to train their team using them as a sort of dummy that will heal their Pokémon out of their good-heartedness… and many PokéCenters and sanctuaries in Unova had to deal with injured Audinos that weren't fit anymore to be released.

Dee is one of these cases. The right side of his face has been burned, luckily he didn't lose his eye even if it's now blind from it, and his right ear almost got bitten off. The poor thing has been bitten, clawed, and burned and Arceus only knows what else he went through.

Luckily, other than the permanent scars and psychological trauma (I've been reassured that he's healing well from it, and as for now he didn't seem to show any signs of discomfort while being with me) Dee is pretty much all healed.

But he is not fit to be released anymore as his current conditions would make him an easy target for this abusive method of training. So, being adopted was his best option other than going to a Pokémon Sanctuary.

I agree. It's a really cute name and the Audino is the cutest thing too, so I think the name fits him perfectly!

Despite everything he had to go through, he's still so friendly and kind. Dee will be a great help in the lab and if Star already loves him, I'm pretty sure that all the others will warm up to him!

Well, maybe Pyrrole might need more time but that's because she's not really friendly in general... but I'm sure that Dee will win her over too!

I haven't been able to leave an update yesterday because the flight from Unova that Ranger Will and the Audino took was delayed and they ended up arriving during the late evening.

Dee, the Audino, seemed a bit tired from the trip and jet lagged, but apparently, the long flight didn't stress him as we feared. Right now he's still sleeping in Will's room at the hotel we're staying at for today.

Will and I decided to let Dee rest for a bit more and then go out for lunch and let him get used to me and to the new environment.

Star already likes him and can't wait to spend more time with him.

I'm not going to put the poor thing again on a flight to go back right away, so we'll be in Galar at least until the weekend. Maybe we could accompany Ranger Will for a bit: he was planning to go check out a couple of places in the Wild Area before joining the local Rangers in the Crown Tundra.
