NEW DELHI: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date to apply online for the June 2020 term-end examination up to April 30, 2020.

The university in its notice said, keeping in view the spread of Coronavirus, the epidemic and complete lockdown throughout the country, IGNOU has extended the last date of accepting the June, 2020 Term-end examination forms without any late fee up to April 30.

The university advises the jail inmates to submit exam form through the concerned regional centre only. Under no circumstances the jail inmate will be permitted to appear for exams in regular exam centres, as exam centre are activated in jail itself.

At the time of filling of the examination form if registration is not found valid, or course(s) for which you are eligible for appearing the June, 2020 TEE is not reflected in the box, you are advised to approach Registrar, SRD (registrarsrd@ignou.ac.in) or phone no. 011-29571301.

Hall Ticket will be uploaded on the University website – www.ignou.ac.in – approximately 10 days before the commencement of the Term-end Examination.

The changes in date-sheet are applicable across the nation and not only in Jharkhand.Exams whose dates were clashing with the election dates have been shifted to December end and beginning of January.All exams which were scheduled on December 7 will now be held on December 31 and exams which were scheduled on December 12, 16, and 20, will now be held on January 1, 2, and 3, 2020.Admit cards for the December Term End Exams will be released prior to the commencement of the exams. Admit cards will be released only for the students who have submitted their exam forms and have submitted assignments for their courses.The result for IGNOU December 2019 TEE will tentatively be released in February next year. The University also has the provision of early result declaration for students who submit a request for the same. In such cases, the result is declared within 30 days of the examination. The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is going to conduct the term-end examinations from 17 September. These exams will be held only for the final year candidates and the official notice states that a detailed exam schedule will be issued soon by the body on the website (http://www.ignou.ac.in/).

In the official announcement dated 31 August, it was mentioned that the Student Evaluation Division (SED) will conduct the June 2020 term-end exams (TEE) of postgraduate and undergraduate degree students, along with those studying for postgraduate certificate, postgraduate diploma, or awareness-level programmes from 17 September.

According to a report by NDTV, the varsity is likely to release the date sheet and admit cards in the first week of September. This will be only for the final year students as the first and second-year candidates will be appearing in the TEE in the month of December.

The report added that about three lakh students will be appearing for the IGNOU final year examinations. It will be conducted across 900 examination centres spread out in the country.

Careers 360 reported that students who fail to appear in the 17 September examinations can appear in the TEE to be held in the month of December. This will be held along with the exams for first and second-year students.

On the day of the exam, students would need to carry their student ID card and the hall ticket. Meanwhile, the last date to register and re-register for the July 2020 session was 31 August.

The IGNOU June TEE 2020 was earlier scheduled to be held between 1 and 27 June. The dates had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The deadline for submission of project reports and assignments were also pushed back then.

TEE tests are generally conducted twice in June and December of each year and an IGNOU hall ticket is issued at least seven days before the tests start.

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is one of the largest open universities in the world. The college offers UG, PG, Certificate and Research courses for students across the country. Do two final tests, i.e. TEE in one year. The first TEE test is held in June and the second in December 2020. The final acceptance card for the test is issued one week before the test date.

As the June 2020 session test is postponed due to prolonged closure, acceptance cards will be issued later. The dates for new exams and the dates for issuance of admission card will be reported through the online portal. Ignou hall ticket, students can study and practice for the next test, in addition, it is recommended to keep in touch with the official portal.

Details of the examination center will be mentioned on the admission card. Exam centers are assigned on a first-come-first-served basis. Centers are assigned to students based on the choices they make when completing the exam registration form. As the registration for the exam is extended until May 31, all students who have not yet registered are encouraged to fill in the examination center preferences carefully, as after submitting the form,
