I’ve said it once. I’ll say it again. I love how you write Logan, and I have another request for you:) I’m thinking Logan from Deadpool 3 because he’s like the most serious one out of all of them. But for this I think the reader is his complete opposite, like they love to laugh, are affectionate, likes to talk, are short, etc. but you can tell that he really loves them. I’m taking inspo from Jenna marbles (if you haven’t watched her TikTok videos, I highly recommend them, and this will make more sense) but what if reader will be sitting on the couch or their bed, and Logan will walk into the room and they will just be sitting there cry-laughing at some dumb TikTok. Like it could be 1am and he’d find them laughing uncontrollably until they’re crying. Logan just kind of rolls his eyes, or shakes his head but will go and sit with them and watch the TikTok they’re laughing at because he loves them. I don’t think he’d find it funny at all, but I think he would find it a little funny at how hard the reader is laughing

Laughter at 1 AM

Logan pushed open the bedroom door, the dim light from the hallway casting long shadows across the floor. It was late—well past 1 AM—and the Apartment was quiet, except for one unmistakable sound that made him pause in the doorway.

Laughter. Specifically, your laughter.

Logan stood there for a moment, one hand on the doorframe, watching as you sat cross-legged on the bed, phone in hand, shaking with laughter. You were a small thing, especially compared to him, and right now, you looked even smaller, curled up in an oversized sweatshirt that probably belonged to him. Your face was lit up by the glow of your phone, tears streaming down your cheeks as you tried—and failed—to stifle your giggles.

He shook his head, a low sigh escaping him. This wasn’t the first time he’d found you like this, and it probably wouldn’t be the last. You had a knack for finding humor in the most ridiculous things, a trait that was both baffling and endearing to Logan.

It was one of the many things about you that were so different from him. Where he was gruff and reserved, you were bright and affectionate, always ready with a smile or a hug. You loved to talk, filling the silence with your stories and thoughts, and you laughed often, your joy as infectious as it was sincere. And though he didn’t always show it, Logan loved that about you. Loved that you brought a lightness to his life that he hadn’t known he was missing.

He watched as you let out another snort of laughter, clutching your sides as you doubled over, your phone almost slipping from your grasp. Whatever you were watching had clearly struck a nerve, and you were lost to it, the rest of the world forgotten as you gave in to the hilarity.

With a small smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth, Logan stepped into the room, closing the door behind him. He crossed the floor with slow, deliberate steps, the bed creaking slightly under his weight as he sat down beside you. You didn’t notice him at first, too absorbed in the video playing on your screen, but when he reached out and gently plucked the phone from your hands, your laughter faded into a breathless gasp of surprise.

“Logan!” you exclaimed, trying to catch your breath as you looked up at him, eyes still sparkling with mirth. “I didn’t hear you come in.”

“Yeah, well,” he grunted, glancing at the video that was still playing on your phone, “you were kinda distracted.” He held the phone up, squinting at the screen as some ridiculous video played out—a woman sticking mirrored gems to her face from the looks of it. He didn’t get it, not really, but that wasn’t the point.

He looked down at you, your cheeks flushed and eyes watery from laughing so hard, and something warm and unguarded softened his expression. “This what you’re up to at one in the morning, huh? Laughin’ yourself to death over some damn video?”

You bit your lip, trying to suppress another giggle, but the way he was looking at you—half exasperated, half amused—only made it harder. “It’s funny, okay?” you said defensively, though there was no real heat behind your words. “You should’ve seen it! I—oh my God, I can’t even—” And with that, you were off again, collapsing into another fit of laughter, your head dropping onto his shoulder as you shook with giggles.

Logan just sat there, letting you have your moment, though he couldn’t help the faint smile that tugged at his lips. It wasn’t the video that amused him—he still didn’t see the humor in it—but seeing you like this, so full of life and laughter, that was something that never failed to make him feel… well, something warm and unfamiliar in his chest.

When your laughter finally subsided into breathless chuckles, you looked up at him, wiping the tears from your cheeks with the back of your hand. “Sorry,” you said, still smiling. “I know it’s late, but I just couldn’t help it.”

He shook his head, sliding an arm around your shoulders and pulling you closer. “You don’t gotta apologize for laughin’, darlin’,” he murmured, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. “It’s good to see you happy.”

You nestled into his side, resting your head against his chest as the last remnants of laughter bubbled out of you. “I love you, you know that?” you said softly, your voice warm with affection.

Logan’s heart did that thing it always did when you said those words—fluttering slightly in a way that was still new and strange to him. “Yeah,” he rumbled, his voice low and rough. “I know. I love you too.”

You sighed contentedly, nuzzling closer to him, and for a moment, the two of you just sat there in the quiet of the night, the only sound the steady rhythm of Logan’s breathing.

But then, because you couldn’t help yourself, you reached for your phone again. “Okay, but seriously, you have to watch this one,” you said, your eyes lighting up with excitement as you pulled up another video.

Logan rolled his eyes, but he didn’t protest, letting you lean against him as you played the next TikTok. He didn’t get it, and he probably never would, but it didn’t matter. What mattered was the way you lit up, the way your laughter filled the room, chasing away the darkness and bringing a little bit of light into his life.

Mass had to leave the statehouse for a few days, he kissed his boyfriend, Maryland, bye, "I'll be back in a few days, okay, baby."

"Okay, see ya in the funny pages." Maryland says with a laugh.

Mass just shakes his head, "You're weird."

"I love you too, hon."

Mass smiles before leaving the house. Maryland walks down the hallway. He spots Massachusetts' room, he opens the door, the room is pitch black. Mary flips the light switch on, he's been in Mass' room a hundred times but this time was different. Massachusetts wasn't there. He breathes in the familiar scent.

Maryland rummages through Mass' stuff. Mary opens Mass' closet, he smiles then grabs Mass's sweatshirt. Maryland puts the sweatshirt on before plopping on Mass' bed. After laying there for a few minutes he gets bored, Maryland gets up and walks to his room. He grabs his laptop before going back to Mass' room. He lay back down on Mass' bed, he opens his laptop and his tab is still on Parks and Recreation.

He presses the space button and the show starts playing. The next thing he knows, he's being called to come get dinner. Maryland walks into the dinning room where everyone else is. They're having ribs that South Carolina barbequed and Idaho's mashed potatoes.

After thirty minutes of some incoherent chattering and a few fights between the northeast, everyone had finished eating. Tonight was Mary's night to do dishes, usually Mass helps him, but Mass isn't here. Maryland didn't realize how much he misses Mass until now. Louisiana walks into the kitchen, "Need help, sha?"

"If you will." Maryland responds. After they finish washing the dishes Mary turns to Louie. "Thanks for helping me."

"Sure, that's what friends are for, sha." Louie smiles, "Ya wanna watch a movie with me and Florida?"

"Sure, why not? Not like I have anything better to do." Maryland responds and walks with Louisiana down the hallway, "What are we watching?"

"Florida wants to watch Deadpool, so I guess Deadpool." Louie responds then opens Florida's door.

Florida stands up as the door opens, he just finished putting the disc in the DVD player, "Mary! You're joining!" Florida jumps onto his bed, Louie sits beside him. Maryland ends up sitting on the floor which he is totally fine with.

After the movie's over, Maryland goes back to Massachusetts' room to grab his laptop. When he walks into the room, he immediately misses Mass more. Mass' scent fills the room, it gives Mary a sense of security. He decides to just stay in Mass' room tonight. He continues watching Parks and Rec, the next thing he knows, it's already past 3am. He shuts his laptop and goes to sleep.

Maryland wakes up the next morning, well day, it's already 3pm. Maryland gets up and gets a bag of pop tarts only to bring them back to Mass' room to eat them.

Two days later Massachusetts comes back, he walks down the hallway. He sees that his door is cracked, hoping that one of the states didn't get into his room, he pushes his door open. He smiles when he sees Maryland asleep in his bed. Mass quietly pushes the door closed, he crawls into bed beside Mary. Mass wraps his arms around his boyfriend.

Maryland's eyes flutter open and he looks up at Massachusetts. "Massie, you're back!" He buries his face in Mass' chest, "I love you, Massie."

"I love you, too, Mary."

Jean-Phillipe appears as a typical male in his thirties, standing at approximately 5'9" (1.75 m) with a toned physique and light skin that tends to tan under intense sunlight. His black hair is always shaved close to his head (probably because he wears his mask 95% of the time). His eyes are blue-grey, appearing almost black from afar. On the rare occasion when he wears civilian clothing, he'll be in something very subtle, like a plain sweatshirt or top (always long sleeves) with jeans or tailored pants--in white, grey, or beige, of course (he's a sucker for his signature colors!). He wears a white tactical one-piece with a white trench coat, utility belt, boots, gloves & a face mask (which has night-vision goggles & telepathy-blocking ceramics). Sometimes the outfit is completely white, other times it has black accents.

--- BACKGROUND

He was born as 1 of 2, twin boys of a human woman carrying the mutant gene & Super-Sentinel engineering. To be brief, he was designated as Weapon XIII (13) & placed in The World, a contained environment full of deadly machines that forced him to grow up fighting. They wanted him to hunt mutants, but he said "fuck that" & found a way to break out. He met the X-Men when he helped them take down the violent Weapon XII. He'd go on to help them defeat other international threats & he personally destroyed all he could that was connected to the Weapon Plus program (an extension of the Weapon X project that sought to enhance & control Wolverine). He's had a few people get close to him...Ultimaton aka Weapon XV is his twin, who he was forced to kill, but then he remade him & let him live in The World. Similarly, he killed the child clone of Apocalypse, then later took another clone & enrolled him in the X-Men's school as "Evan Sabahnur", taking on the role of Evan's "uncle". Finally, he shared a brief romance with Betsy Braddock. Initially, they had a romantic/sexual threesome between himself, a female version of himself (long story) & Betsy, but Betsy broke things off when he insulted her love for Angel/Warren Worthington III. This mun ships the fuck out of Fantomex x Gambit, because the two had a brief partnership (yay bisexual sexy thieves!).

—- PERSONALITY

He's been through some shit. In the most simple terms, he's thematically & emotionally the lovechild of Deadpool & Gambit (I'm sure Wade would love to hear that). Once he accepts a job or plans a heist, he always follows through. He tells himself it's because he has a reputation to maintain as "Le Fantomex, the World's Greatest Thief (& occasional assassin)", but he's truly determined, dependable & prideful. He doesn't let himself get close to many more than a handful, yet he can be incredibly loyal when he's joined a team (like the X-Men). In his day-to-day talk, he has no problem bragging about his impressive abilities, or flirting with either sex (he really does like himself, though most peg him as an arrogant jerk). When it comes down to it, he's a utilitarian/greater good kind of guy. He also loves to live a hedonistic lifestyle, spending his free time stealing artwork & ordering room service at 5-star hotels.

—- ABILITIES

Powers

E.V.A: she's essentially a small aircraft with an A.I. who has a symbiotic relationship with him. He can see through her "eyes" & remotely pilot her with intense effort on his part. She can fire blasts of bioelectric energy. While connected to her, he can ignore injuries, because he won't feel the pain.

Body Supremacy: he has nanites that enhance his willpower, to the point where he will push on even if he's near death or attacked by someone attempting mind control. They sometimes even make him sociopathic on the rare occasion when he meets someone better than him. Jean can also will his body to push out shrapnel, bullets & splinters--& he can slightly speed up his healing factor (it's not much faster than that of a regular human's).

Misdirection: it's the ability to change people's perceptions & feelings from what they are, to what he wants them to be. He sometimes does this using illusions, which even skilled telepaths have trouble seeing through.

Reduced Aging: a lot of Weapon Plus/X experiments have this.

Enhanced Agility: he's always jumping across rooftops. Think of Catwoman, but...male & wearing all-white.

Enhanced Strength: this is somewhere on the level of your usual experimental super-soldier (think Bucky Barnes or Deadpool).

Enhanced Senses: others perceive this as him simply being very observant.

Inodorosity: he has no scent, which makes it difficult for people who rely on their augmented senses (like Wolverine) to track him.

Weaknesses

Some of his weaknesses are directly linked to his powers. If E.V.A. is hurt, Jean-Phillipe will feel her pain. If he unlinks himself from her, he can only see in black & white & he can no longer ignore his own pain from injuries. Because of how he was "raised", he sometimes has trouble relating to people, despite his ability to manipulate & read them. His drive can come across as cruelty.

Skills

Marksmanship: his "training" while in the World has made him a good enough shot to use handguns as his primary weapons, against Weapon Plus guards, other assassins & superhuman opponents.

Hand-to-Hand Combat: like the others in the Weapon Plus/X program, he was originally designed to hunt & kill. As such, he's an extremely formidable combatant.

Fluent in Body Language: his enhanced intelligence aids him in understanding the subtle vocal & physical cues of others, enough for him to predict movements & seemingly read people's thoughts.

Accent: some people think Jean is French. He's not. He's just weirdly obsessed with France & French things. He doesn't even SPEAK French (though he knows a few phrases). But he has noticed that people tend to become distracted by his speech when he fakes his accent...which is nice when he's trying to do something sneaky with his hands.

NOT.”  The family of four has been over a decade in the making. The Deadpool & Wolverine and Another Simple Favor stars linked up fifteen years ago on the set of The Green Lantern. After two years of dating, they wed in 2012, with a brood of babies following suit. And four children may not be enough for this power couple. In June of 2024, Reynolds revealed that he would welcome more additions to the family, telling E! News that he wants “As many as possible. As many little heartbeats as possible, just running around, wrecking stuff in the house. I love it. Let’s have more!”  Though they don't share too much about their young children, Lively will sometimes offer a glimpse into their family life, like a recent Instagram story about family cupcake baking. At the end of the day, motherhood is a top priority for the former Gossip Girl star: “My life has become more intimate,” Lively told Vogue in 2023. An unconventional name for a baby girl, the new parents chose it to honor Reynolds’s father. Reynolds went on to jokingly defend the name choice: "I mean, I didn't call her Summer Squash Meadow Lark, or something,” he quipped to ITV’s Good Morning Britain. But perhaps even less conventional was the way Reynolds chose to ring in his daughter’s birth. Lively opened up to Glamour about how James had entered the world set to none other than “Let’s Get It On” by Marvin Gaye, courtesy of her jokester father. The couple were ready to be parents, both having come from large families and eager for one of their own. And Reynolds positively embraced fatherhood, speaking candidly in 2016 about his keenness to get his hands dirty. "I have no problem waking up five times in the middle of the night and changing diapers,” he told GQ. Despite the plans for a normal childhood, some special perks come with having celebrity parents. James’s babbling voice will forever be heard on the intro to “Gorgeous,” a song off of family friend Taylor Swift’s album Reputation. In a viral video a fan posted to X in 2018, the A-list couple excitedly jump up and down during the Reputation Stadium Tour as their daughter’s vocals boom through the speakers at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts. Reynolds accepted his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, with Lively and their daughters by his side. Lively had spent her second pregnancy as something of an icon of maternity style, and Inez went on to become a little style icon herself. In 2021, Lively shared a video on Instagram stories in which she models an outfit picked by her daughter at 5 in the morning. “When you try to get your 4 year old dressed but they insist on dressing you instead,” the caption reads, overtop an image of Lively wearing a hot pink sweatshirt with rhinestone smiley, a mid-length white skirt embroidered with large pink flowers, and pumps. Inez initially didn’t take too kindly to seeing her father’s gruesome look while filming Deadpool 2. “My 1-year-old daughter would just sob, I mean for hours after seeing me,” Reynolds told PEOPLE, her reaction to the prosthetics needed to portray the heavily scarred Wade Wilson.  But by age 7, Inez had triumphed over her fear of Deadpool, joining her father in a small cameo appearance for 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine playing the foul-mouthed Kidpool. Less than a year after the October 4th birth of Lively and Reynolds’s third child, it was uncovered that Taylor Swift’s song, “Betty,” from her album Folklore, was titled in honor of this newest family addition, and even included little shoutouts for the elder two Reynolds kids, too. While the pair have never confirmed why they chose the name, Betty is a moniker that runs in the family. Lively’s line of non-alcoholic carbonated mixers, Betty Buzz, was named after her grandmother and aunt, while honoring her father, Ernie. In a press release, Lively explained “…when I was working hard to build this company, I wanted any success to be in a name that was meaningful to [Ernie]. Betty was his mom and his sister's name. Also, Ernie would not be the best name for a mixer." Lively’s elder daughters had an adjustment period with their new sister, although Inez was a tougher nut to crack than James. “I have two other daughters, so my oldest is very into the baby but my middle child, not so much,” Lively divulged to Jimmy Fallon, in an interview on The Tonight Show. “In the beginning, the oldest is loving on her and she’s maternal, and then our middle daughter just keeps away from her.” Eventually, Inez warmed up to her new sibling after some more prodding. Lively continued: “...I said to [Inez], ‘You know, you’re gonna get to teach her everything she knows! You get to teach her about cities and the sky and flowers and Santa Claus and Mickey Mouse, anything you want.’ And she goes [to her new sister], ‘Oh, I didn’t love you, but now I do.’” Dia Dipasupil/Getty images Olin Reynolds Nearly three years after the birth of her third child, Lively announced her fourth pregnancy on the red carpet at the 10th Annual Forbes Power Women’s Summit, wearing a sequined mini-dress that showed off her baby bump.: Her birth announcement was characteristically subtle. As Reynolds thanked the crowd at the New York premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine in July 2024, he shouted out his family and name-dropped each of his kids: James, Betty, Inez, and a new name, Olin. Later that same month, Reynolds posted a video to Instagram detailing his connection with Wrexham AEC fan John Bell who lost his son, while revealing that he had a son now, too. Lively and Reynolds both share a love of cracking jokes, which was on display in Lively’s choice of cake for her son’s first birthday. On BBC Radio 2’s Zoe Ball and Friends show, Lively explained that, "My birthday cakes always have a little bit of a sense of humor, for my baby I just did a giant set of t--ts.” As Olin has grown, he’s become a fan of the very film that brought his parents together: The Green Lantern. “It’s my son’s favorite movie,” Reynolds told the Time100 Summit in New York City. Even cuter is the fact that the film’s director, Shawn Levy, is Olin’s godfather. And Levy had a voice cameo for his godson in Deadpool & Wolverine, the director’s most recent collaboration with Reynolds. “Little by little, all of the Reynoldses started being a part of the movie, including their youngest,” Levy told Variety.  Source link
