#Day 2: Baked Goods

Anyway, another TeruAka from Your Clock Is Ticking!!

This morning sucked. Woke up at 7 on less than 5 hours of sleep to bake over 50 Eccles cakes. Didn’t have like half my ingredients. Bought more only to realise I still didn’t have them all. Burnt myself on the syrupy filling. Printer died on me as I was trying to get a printing job done. Forgot to have lunch I was so excited. Locked my car key in the boot. Waited an hour in the sun in all black to make sure I didn’t get a parking ticket whilst trying to get said key out. Got stuck in traffic for half an hour only to find I’d just moved under 100 metres. Accidentally had the thermostat cranked up to 40C the whole journey. All of this, just to get to a screening.

Then when I got there….

Shrimp emotions. The atmosphere was incredible. Got there 3 hours early. Immediately bonded with people, and it just felt so warm and exciting. I passed round the Eccles cakes in its little (very large) Antichrist basket. We all counted down with the timer waiting for the episodes to start. The episodes were amazing, and I have to thank @neil-gaiman for making this season come true - it was everything I hoped for and more, and I think that’ll be the case for pretty much everyone. I wouldn’t trade this experience for the world, even if I had to live through this morning 20x over.

Trust me when I say you’re not prepared for season 2. No one is.

About Soseki, Shamspeare and Olive´s favorite food!

Soseki didn´t even realize you could HAVE a favorite food before he came to Britain because food was always more of an obligation than something to enjoy. His family didn´t have much growing up, and he actually sometimes forgets to eat when he´s deep into his studies or writing. Back in his homeland after a year of the most horrendous food he ever had, eating himself through the menus of every possible restaurant in Japan and realizing that "Everything Japanese!" is not much of an answer, he decided that the simple things are sometimes the best. In this case, that means: cat-shaped Onigiri and green tea yokan.

Shamspeare might SAY that his favorites are soup and salad, but that´s because they are the cheapest things on the menu and therefore the only dishes he could afford in case he gets caught on his way out without paying. The real answer is that he doesn´t have a specific favorite food, it´s whatever is edible. He particularly loves sweets and desserts, though, because that´s something he doesn´t get to have that often, so it feels special to eat them. He has a love-hate relationship with ice cream. It´s so cold and pretty much impossible to steal, but it´s sooo gooood!

Olive has fond memories of the bean stew she grew up with. She tried to replicate it and gave some to Duncan, but she didn´t get the taste right and was even sure that hers was terrible. He had smiled and said it was delicious. While it´s not a favorite in terms of taste, she likes ordering salads because they´re pretty and colorful, and she likes to compare how different restaurants plate them. She also likes chocolate a lot but doesn´t like to admit that in case people make fun of her again :(

Ash:

- mainly posts pictures of her shows or music themed stuff like their guitar or cassette tapes/records.

- will occasionally post bits of songs she is working on to see her fans reactions.

- she already had quite a few followers before Sing 2 due to the talent show launching their career in Calatonia but is rapidly gaining more after it comes out she is being trained by Clay Calloway.

Meena:

- posts pictures of her baking, aesthetic shots of the theatre, or cute stuffed animals.

- she will post family things occasionally or picture of her with Ash and Johnny and very rarely anything singing related.

- account is private as she is just 17, her followers are people from the theatre and her family.

Valentines was chaotic and frustrating, but I got a Clicker funko and I looked cute at occupational therapy. Plus we worked out some better methods of cooking that should cause me less pain.
