I can’t spoil this one too much, but I will say it’s a codywanweek fic for the Day 4: Soulmate AU prompt (that I am desperately trying to finish even as it gets longer and longer, oops)

He seems to find whatever it is he’s looking for, because his eyes light up with unrestrained manic glee. “It’s worse than that, isn’t it?” Cody prays for a quick death. Fox’s smile widens into something positively feral. “You want less layers between your legs and his when he pins you in a spar. Cody, you dog.” Scratch that. Cody will not beg for death. Not before he kills his ori’tat.

At long last, we have confirmation that Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes is getting a sequel! And we have a release year, 2027!

Confirmation came from The Hollywood Reporter, during an interview with Steve Asbell, a president of Fox. He was giving a very broad update on various sequels, including Alien, Predator, Avatar, and more. The mention of the Apes sequel was very brief but it’s the confirmation us fans have been eager for.

“There’ll be another Apes in ‘27” was the only information revealed. The timeline makes sense, my guess has been 3-4 years for the next film to come if it got greenlit. I’m just thrilled we finally have confirmation that there will be more Apes! Time to celebrate the good news! 🎉
