2am David brainrot: Rewatched the birthday episode recently and I just realized that Argos saying at the end, this is what he wanted not what Mr plant wanted, holds a lot more weight then I thought and it makes me sadd:((

when it was Argos’ birthday it was mentioned that his birthdays where always terrible and ended with him alone, which implies no one comes to his birthday parties, so when he got the chance to throw a party for Mr plant he jumped at the opportunity to finally have people show up. When he said this was what he wanted, he quite literally means he wanted this for himself, not because he wanted it for Mr plant. He finally would have people come to; maybe not his birthday; but a birthday he threw. Not to say what he did was justified but it makes more sense as to why he didn’t listen to his boyfriend. At least they got to eat their blood cake together :,D

Doris May Lessing CH OMG (née Tayler; 22 October 1919 – 17 November 2013) was a British novelist. She was born to British parents in Iran, where she lived until 1925. Her family then moved to Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), where she remained until moving in 1949 to London, England. Her novels include The Grass Is Singing (1950), the sequence of five novels collectively called Children of Violence (1952–1969), The Golden Notebook (1962), The Good Terrorist (1985), and five novels collectively known as Canopus in Argos: Archives (1979–1983).

Lessing was awarded the 2007 Nobel Prize in Literature. In awarding the prize, the Swedish Academy described her as "that epicist of the female experience, who with scepticism, fire and visionary power has subjected a divided civilisation to scrutiny". Lessing was the oldest person ever to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature, at age 87.

In 2001 Lessing was awarded the David Cohen Prize for a lifetime's achievement in British literature. In 2008 The Times ranked her fifth on a list of "The 50 greatest British writers since 1945".

Lessing's literary archive is held by the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center, at the University of Texas at Austin. The 45 archival boxes of Lessing's materials at the Ransom Center contain nearly all of her extant manuscripts and typescripts up to 1999. Original material for Lessing's early books is assumed not to exist because she kept none of her early manuscripts. The McFarlin Library at the University of Tulsa holds a smaller collection.

The University of East Anglia's British Archive for Contemporary Writing holds Doris Lessing's personal archive: a vast collection of professional and personal correspondence, including the Whitehorn letters, a collection of love letters from the 1940s, written when Lessing was still living in Zimbabwe (then Southern Rhodesia). The collection also includes forty years of personal diaries. Some of the archive remains embargoed during the writing of Lessing's official biography.

ALAN ARKIN (1934-Died June 29th 2023,at 89).

American actor, director, and screenwriter. In a career spanning eight decades, he received various accolades, including an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Tony Award. For his work on television, he received six Primetime Emmy Award nominations.

Arkin began his career on the Broadway stage, starring as David Kolowitz in the Joseph Stein play Enter Laughing in 1963, for which he won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play. He returned the following year acting in the comedic play Luv (1964). For his work directing Neil Simon's 1971 comedic play The Sunshine Boys, he was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Direction of a Play.

Arkin gained stardom with his roles in the films The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming (1966), Wait Until Dark (1967), The Heart is a Lonely Hunter (1968), Popi (1969), Catch-22 (1970), and The In-Laws (1979). － Doris Lessing (1919-2013 ) 英國女作家，代表作有《金色筆記》等，她是一位無拘無束、坦誠直言的小說家，畢生都在書寫社會與藝術傳統的破裂，並因此於2007年獲得諾貝爾文學獎。她是迄今為止獲獎時最年長的女性諾貝爾獲獎者。此外她是歷來第三十四位女性諾貝爾獎得主，在文學獎則是第十一位。

A British novelist. She was born to British parents in Iran, where she lived until 1925. Her family then moved to Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), where she remained until moving in 1949 to London, England. Her novels include The Grass Is Singing (1950), the sequence of five novels collectively called Children of Violence (1952–1969), The Golden Notebook (1962), The Good Terrorist (1985), and five novels collectively known as Canopus in Argos: Archives (1979–1983). Lessing was awarded the 2007 Nobel Prize in Literature. In awarding the prize, the Swedish Academy described her as "that epicist of the female experience, who with scepticism, fire and visionary power has subjected a divided civilisation to scrutiny". Lessing was the oldest person ever to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature, at age 87. 

In 2001 Lessing was awarded the David Cohen Prize for a lifetime's achievement in British literature. In 2008 The Times ranked her fifth on a list of "The 50 greatest British writers since 1945".
