Owen' Recommended Watching
Part 1
[I watch all of these shows regularly. I've seen most of them over a dozen times.]
Doctor Who 1963-Present
Doctor Who depicts the adventures of an extraterrestrial being called the Doctor, part of a humanoid species called Time Lords. The Doctor travels in the universe and in time using a time travelling spaceship called the TARDIS, which externally appears as a British police box. While travelling, the Doctor works to save lives and liberate oppressed peoples by combating foes. The Doctor often travels with companions.
Star Trek The Original Series 1966-1969
The show is set in the Milky Way, circa 2266-2269. The ship and crew are led by Captain James Kirk (William Shatner), first mate and Science Officer Spock (Leonard Nimoy), and Chief Medical Officer Leonard H. "Bones" McCoy (DeForrest Kelly). In the opening credits of each episode, Shatner explains the purpose of this starship: Space: The Final Frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission is to explore strange new worlds, find new life and new civilizations, and boldly go to places that no one has gone before.
M*A*S*H* 1972-1983
The show is an ensemble piece revolving around key personnel in a United States ArmyMobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH) in the Korean War (1950–53). The "4077th MASH" was one of several surgical units in Korea.
The Golden Girls 1985 - 1992
The show, featuring an ensemble cast, revolves around four older single women (three widows and one divorcée) sharing a house in Miami. The owner of the house is a widow named Blanche Devereaux (McClanahan), who was joined by fellow widow Rose Nylund (White) and divorcée Dorothy Zbornak (Arthur) after they both responded to an ad on the bulletin board of a local grocery store a year before the start of the series. In the pilot episode, the three are joined by Dorothy's 80-year-old widowed mother, Sophia Petrillo (Getty), after the retirement home where she lived burned down.
Star Trek The Next Generation 1987 - 1994
Set in the latter third of the 24th century, when Earth is part of the United Federation of Planets, it follows the adventures of a Starfleet starship, the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D), in its exploration of the Alpha quadrant and Beta quadrant in the Milky Way galaxy.
Roseanne 1988 - 1997
The series centers on the Connor family, a working-class American family struggling to make ends meet on a limited family income. Dan, Roseanne, and their three young children, Becky, Darlene, and D.J., live at 714 Delaware Street in the monotonous fictional Mid-State suburb of Kane County, Illinois.
Family Matters 1989 - 1998
The show centers on the Winslow family, an African-American middle-class family living in Chicago, Illinois, and halfway through the first season, the Winslow family's nerdy Steve Ukkel (Jaryl White) is introduced, who originally appeared as a one-off character in the script. However, he soon became a breakthrough character in the show (and eventually the main character), joining the main cast.
Star Trek DS9 1993 - 1999
Set in the 24th century, when Earth is part of a United Federation of Planets, its narrative is centered on the eponymous space station Deep Space Nine, located adjacent to a wormhole connecting Federation territory to the Gamma Quadrant on the far side of the Milky Way galaxy.
7th Heaven 1996-2007
The series follows Reverend Eric Camden, a Protestant minister living in the fictional town of Glen Oak, California, and his wife Annie as they deal with the drama of raising 7 children (twins Sam and David come later in the series) ranging in age from babies to adults with families of their own.
George Lopez 2002 - 2007
The comedy revolves around a fictionalized portrayal of Lopez who works at the Powers Brothers aviation factory. George raises daughter Carmen and dyslexic son Max with his wife Angie, after surviving a miserable, dysfunctional childhood at the hands of his neglectful alcoholic mother Benny. The show stars the titular comedian George Lopez, who plays a fictionalized version of himself, featuring his life at work and his family life in Los Angeles, California.

Nathan McCoy Mr. Rager
Age: 28 Birthplace: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Birthday: September 16 Sign: Virgo sun, Leo moon, Taurus rising MBTI: ENTJ Gender: Male Height: 187cm/6′2 Hair/eyes: Brown, dark brown Hand: Righty Posture: Semi-acceptable slouch Fluent in: He’s barely fluent in english Lives in: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Family: His mom, Darlene (56), and dog, Fucko (4). And cousins, so many cousins. Mental Health: Mild derealization disorder Education: High school diploma, flunked college twice. Occupation: Notary clerk Starter pokemon: Squirtle Quote: “In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.” [x]
Headcanons
In West Philadelphia, born and raised. No, literally.
Works with his mom [Melissa McCarthy] at a notary office. Falls asleep on the job a lot. Basically hasn’t been fired yet only because he’s the boss’s son.
His mom has a boyfriend named Carl [Danny Glover]. Nathan doesn’t like Carl because Carl is always telling him to get his shit together (nicely).
Their dog, a rescue mutt, was originally called Charlie (after Chaplin). But he did not respond to this name. Nate began calling him Fucko, and the dog seemed to like that, so it stuck.
Lives in Cobbs Creek in a house next door to his mom’s. When their elderly next door neighbor Ronnie passed away, he left the house in his will to Nathan.
It has a spare bedroom so he rents it out every couple of months to someone new.
Literally the worst landlord. Will regularly forget to collect rent, waive deposits, terrible at fixing shit — just, horrible.
Has a 5 year old, Joel, but he lives with his baby mama. He tries to see the kid as often as he can, but he’s a speed demon who wears Nate out fast and honestly, sometimes he’s happier paying the child support and calling it a day.
But also loves the freak kid. If some of his tattoos look weird or shitty, it’s because Joel drew them.

Making memories, not chaos
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/006457a8018f13a3b372051b737fa4da/tumblr_inline_plci6iYSZi1sbr7kn_540.jpg)
I remembered that not only is today Christmas, but it’s also Tuesday! So, here is today’s #transparenttuesday brought to you by some of my deep thoughts after some quality time with family.
Next year, Anthony and I will have been together for 18 years (half my life). We have been married 13 and have spent 16 Christmases together. Anthony I spent some time reflecting on the years and how things have changed. Our homes have changed, we’ve moved to another state. We added kids to our lives and our kids have grown up. The years just fly by so fast. They really do. We discussed how much our marriage has changed. The process of going from single, to married is a difficult adjustment. You go from selfish, to butting heads, to giving in, to butting heads, to realizing that you can only love the other person how you’re supposed to if you work as a team and try to love like Christ loves us. This process is so hard. We still struggle you guys. Our marriage has had some low lows, but we haven’t given up. Somehow, by the grace of God, we are still here: together. Our life is NOT perfect. We’ve made a lot of mistakes that have left some scars and made some decisions that we are still paying for, but regardless, we are doing this life together.
It was so much fun to sit down once the chaos ended and just share memories with family. I enjoyed talking with Darlene Dean McCoy about special memories she shared with her mom and stories with Floyd and Cindy McCoy Paul about their childhood. Times like this are priceless. Hunter and Brooklyn sat wild-eyed as they waited to hear what would happen next. You can’t see this stuff on TV, you can’t read about it. These are special stories that will stick with them forever.
I can’t even begin to tell you how thankful I am that I have the relationship I do with my in-laws. I feel so blessed. This family that I have married into has become my own. They love me like I’m theirs as well. I don’t take this for granted. I know how lucky I am.
Now I sit at my mom’s house for our last Christmas. I remember a year not long ago where we sat and reflected on a time when we didn’t know if we would have her the next year. The year she had breast cancer was the scariest I have ever had, but God prevailed, and she is with us: cancer free. I’m thankful that I get to spend the weekend with my sister, brother in law, nieces and nephews. I’m thankful for the laughter we will share and memories we will make. I’m thankful that my kids have this time.
I remember a time not long ago that all of these things didn’t seem like blessings to me. They seemed like a chore, but my how things have changed. The older I get, the more I realize how important these moments are; the more I cherish these moments and these people.
So as you go about your holiday weekend, and you lug around your kids and think about how much the chaos drives you nuts, remember that these years are fleeting. These people are blessings, and these memories will last a lifetime. Your kids will tell these stories to their grandkids some day. These will be the good old days.
I love you all so much. Merry Christmas.
Spending Christmas with some of my favorites

“ Jughead will be in charge of documenting the making of the musical, and his documentary will air as the episode of Riverdale called "A Night to Remember."
"You might notice that Jughead (Cole Sprouse) is missing from the list, which makes sense given the fact that Sprouse has often said (including in the video above) that he will never sing. Jughead will instead be in charge of documenting the making of the musical." [x]
HIGHLIGHTS!
Excited to see some of this episode, perhaps, filmed from Jughead’s perspective.
A Jughead Jones documentary, seriously, I am getting very hyped about this.”The first show will debut on Wednesday, April 18 and will be accompanied by a behind-the-scenes documentary-style look at the production by none other than Jughead Jones.”
They aren’t making Cole sing, he stuck to his guns! The documentary is perfect, however.
“Much love to her boyfriend, Jughead Jones. #bugheadforever” - YAS, Bughead lives!
I am really understating my excitement that this verifies, without a doubt, that Bughead is alive and kicking 3 months from now. I. HAVE. NO. CHILL.
“He would like to thank his girlfriend, Veronica, for always being there.” - Varchie lives!
Choni! It’s gotta be Choni in that blacked out text!
Kangs! This looks like Kangs guys! Who else is stoaked to see assistant director Fangs working on a musical. This sounds gloriously campy.
This is the kind of camp I am OKAY with. A musical episode done in the style of a documentary by our very own Jughead Jones of a musical being done for Riverdale High? Sign me up. I wasn’t thrilled with the prospect of a musical initially, but in this format? I am down for the camp.
“ Will be filmed by student videographer and journalist Jughead Jones.” - Jug back at the Blue and Gold? I mean it had to happen, but I am here for this.
The very meta press release, done in the style of an article straight out of the Riverdale Register or Blue and Gold, for the musical is under the cut below.
RIVERDALE, NY (January 24, 2018) — The Riverdale High Drama Department (RHDD), in conjunction with the Lodge Family, is pleased to present as its Spring Production, “Carrie: The Musical,” a dark-yet-catchy cautionary tale exploring the gritty realities of small-town high school life. Future Tony Winner Kevin Keller helms as director, combining iconic elements from the novel, 1976 movie, 1988 Broadway production, 2012 Off-Broadway revival, and 2013 remake to create a retro-yet-timeless interpretation of Stephen King’s horror classic. Additionally, a behind-the-scenes documentary following the making of “Carrie: The Musical” will be filmed by student videographer and journalist Jughead Jones.
The book of “Carrie: The Musical” was written by Lawrence D. Cohen, with lyrics by Dean Pitchford, and music by Michael Gore. The show debuted on Broadway in 1988 and ran for only 16 previews and 5 performances. But “Carrie” was given award-winning new life when it was reworked and revived Off-Broadway in 2012. It includes the unforgettable songs “The World According to Chris,” “A Night We’ll Never Forget,” and “Unsuspecting Hearts.”
Riverdale High’s tragic heroine Cheryl Blossom leads the cast as Carrie White in this avant-garde production, where she is antagonized by mean-girl Chris Hargensen (recent transplant Veronica Lodge) and supported by golden-couple Sue Snell and Tommy Ross (Riverdale High’s brightest, Betty Cooper and Archie Andrews). Special appearances by budding star Josie McCoy (playing sympathetic gym teacher Miss Gardner) and Riverdale High alum Alice Cooper (as Carrie White’s mother, Margaret).
Adapted from Stephen King’s Carrie and produced by RHDD (Newsies, Kinky Boots, Little Shop of Horrors, Our Town) in association with the Lodge Family (SoDale, Pickens Day 2018), “Carrie: The Musical” tells the story of a painfully shy, outcast teenage girl with telekinetic abilities who is oppressed by her peers and religious-zealot mother—until she’s pushed to her breaking point and unleashes a terrible revenge. The production stars Cheryl Blossom, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, Archie Andrews, Reggie Mantle, Josie McCoy, Alice Cooper, Toni Topaz, Ethel Muggs, Midge Klump, and Moose Mason. Kevin Keller directs, with Assistant Director Fangs Fogarty. Special thanks to Fred Andrews of Andrews Construction for sets and lumber.
