Another idea for a Dark Forest map/pmv

It follows one of the background Dark Forest characters, maybe Sparrowfeather, seeing as she's one of the girls and we need more girl villain maps that's not just about Mapleshade (though I do love her).

The story is where Sparrowfeather dies and joins the Dark Forest, but doesn't believe she belongs there. The other residences (mostly OCs because that's always fun) are like "no, we're all messed up killers, and so are you."

Maybe it follows them pointing out events in her life, like watching in a puddle the things she did (which also shows the viewer her story through that lens)

Because the chorus is "just like the rest of us," maybe the other characters somehow show their stories? Like maybe they show their crime right after showing Sparrowfeather's and they're like "see? we're both killers."

Or, if it follows my D.F Eye AU, they would show that. They would point to their eye, flashback to their murder, point to Sparrowfeather's eyes (maybe show her in a reflection) and flashback to her murder--in either case, it shows part of her story.

We could go further

The song has a theme of "you can pretend to be neat and wear a suit, but we know it's a facade" to be like "everyone always wanted to be the perfect Clanmate, but here we don't care, we're all messed up and we're all free."

Bughop, once a loyal and courageous warrior, finds herself ensnared in this nightmarish place, with no hope of escape. Plagued by memories of her past, she struggles to endure the torment.

As Bughop navigates this wretched place, she discovers that not all cats can withstand the suffering. Many cats lose their minds, transforming into savage and twisted versions of themselves—unrecognizable, dangerous, and driven by madness.

Meet Pomni Bughop!

Bughop is a cautious and jumpy cat who is trapped in the dark forest along with 5 other cats. Despite her initial skittishness, she demonstrates an innate sense of justice and often challenges the decisions of Foxteeth, the group's leader much to his annoyance.

Bughop is constantly plagued by a sense of restless anxiety. She is often found pacing back and forth, or compulsively scratching at the ground. Her behavior suggests an intense unease and a deep seated desire to escape

Meet Jax Rabbitthump!

Rabbitthump is a self-confident and unabashed cat, notorious for his cruel jokes and knack for picking on others' weaknesses, especially Tawnymouse.

No cat seems to know where he came from or what his past is, and he is quite content keeping it that way, relishing the sense of unease his mysteriousness creates among other cats.

Generally easygoing and carefree, Rabbitthump is never serious, except for those rare occasions when a critical event, like the tragic incident involving Cricketbouce, occured. Such incidents tend to make him uncharacteristically serious and even unnerved. Though, he’d never admit it.

Tawnymouse is a nervous and traumatized cat who used to be a Medicine Cat.

Due to consistent bullying from Rabbitthump, she is continuously on edge and always seeking to avoid confrontation.

Tawnymouse is naturally quiet and soft-spoken, and her behavior might be attributed to the fact she is always ready to flee at any moment.

She has heterochromia, a condition resulting from head trauma she sustained from an insedent with Rabbitthump The trauma has left her emotionally vulnerable and sensitive to any aggressive behavior.

WOOOO FINALLY STAR IS OUT Spoilers below the cut, obviously, but I think most of the spoilers are from the names...

So to start off, we have the Riverclan triplets in Graysky, Mistpool, and Frostdawn. Graysky and Mistpool are mostly the same, but there are still a few changes. Frostdawn changed completely. I came up with this new design for her ages ago, but I wanted to wait until she got her full name to post it. The waiting took FOREVER. The smaller scar on her neck is from Splashtail's first attack on her, it was initially a much larger wound, however the advanced medical care from the Twolegs made it heal better and therefore left a smaller scar. TNR ear tip, and I'd imagine the flank scar would go away after a while, but I thought I should put it anyway. After them is Whistlebreeze! A duller brown but still brown. I don't know what to call the little tufts of fur under her cheek fur, but I really like them on her <3. Then is newly crowned Icestar! You go girlie I am eagerly awaiting new PMVs and MAPs about you now that you're in the spotlight. I included below where the star would have gone on her old design, I didn't change the design because the star wouldn't fit, I changed it because she needed a new design; I wasn't satisfied with the old one anymore. After is Splashtail. Okay, look - his old design is nice to look at, but there's just too much going on. It's not cohesive, and I was having trouble remembering all the little details. So here's a new one. Gave him little fangs as a trade off for changing it so drastically again. Then is Berryheart, her design didn't really change I just wanted to fix her shapes and make the colors more contrasting. Then is Riverstar, whose design really changed. I think he looks like a blue jay now. And finally a new design for Dark Forest Curlfeather. It's the exact same base design, but now with her visceral death wounds. Oh and the curls/spirals on her body are more squarish in death, just to make them look more dense or matted.

Abbey (ScourgeFlight AU) - Scourge is killed and wakes up as Squirrelkit and is given this second chance at life

Charlie’s Inferno (Antpelt) - heavily based on All Dogs Go To Heaven and leans more on the AU-ish side with Antpelt waking up in starclan before being kicked out and sent to the dark forest

Vision One (Brambleposter) - based on a very specific level from LittleBigPlanet 2 and the Meanie infection that drives one of the characters crazy

Pocket Crocodile (Badgerfang and Flintfang) - starts off happy and cheerful with just some wholesome interactions between uncle and nephew before Badgerfang is killed in the wind clan battle (I’m probably gonna make this one a PMV)

It's not a ship I've thought about much but SpottedTiger is really compelling. I like the idea of them both initially bonding through Thistleclaw's abuse before that turns into a genuine friendship. Maybe Tigerstar's actions could even be in part motivated by a desire to reform the clans so no one else would go through what Spottedleaf did. They also contrast each other in an interesting way, since in the series itself he's the main villain + eventual dark forest leader and she's THE starclan guide. Idk it's interesting to think about.

I think SpottedTiger has to be one of my favorite pairings just because of how interesting it is- And it's definitely overall my favorite pairing for Spottedleaf. It's extremely unconventional for sure, you don't see it around much, but if you look below the surface, they have a lot more in common then people realize, and really, that just makes their differences more fascinating.

I love the idea of them bonding and growing to be genuine friends as apprentices, even if it's through an unfortunate situation, sometimes that just makes things stronger because they understand eachother's pain the best of all, I actually talked about a headcanon a while back where Tigerpaw actually got stuck in the Medicine den fairly often from overexerting himself due to Thistleclaw, and that being a bonding factor. It's why he knows baseline healing knowledge in my AU (Which I also find makes him a bit scarier as a villain, at least to me LMAO)

There's something so interesting about Spottedleaf, postergirl of Starclan who had been used as a messenger since she died, and Tigerstar, the one who Starclan wanted dead at birth, and eventually became one of the biggest dark forest cats around.

It's about the shared trauma, it's about the religious themes, and it's about them knowing eachother better than anybody else can despite those themes. Starclan wanted Spottedleaf in the stars and Tigerstar dead before he even had the chance to be something different then they predicted. And even with that, they still love eachother, and that has to count for something. They have a lot of potential. Lots of possibilities for angst, and fluff, and just (*Slaps top of ship*) this bad boy can fit so much interesting shit in it.

I'd totally try organizing a little MAP around them if I could, but I doubt anybody would be interested, so who knows, I might make a standalone PMV or something one day LMAO
