Will Graham: Do you see killing him over and over? Chiyoh: No. I see you.
Will Graham: I look at my wife and I see her dead. I see Mrs. Leeds and Mrs. Jacobi lying where Molly should be. Bedelia du Maurier: Do you see yourself killing her? Will Graham: Yes. Over and over.

absorb myself in it
Summary:
“It didn’t take that long,” The room’s quiet, the buzzing life behind these walls slowing down with the soft sigh Fives lets escape when those same lips brush against the skin under his eye. “We got what we wanted.”
Fives cracks open his eyelids, heavy with leftover sleep. “And?”
Echo’s still in armour, weight supported by the hand that sinks in the mattress, right beside Fives’s shoulder, body angled away just to prevent dirtying up the sheets. “It’d be better off being used in the medbay, but it’s a start.”
the clone wars. the bad batch. echofives. contains tbb s03e05 spoilers. rated T. 1.3k+ words.
Based on 50 A Softer World Prompts
We talk in the dark as we fall asleep, and we are objects in the night sky outside of time. (it is the exact opposite of alone.)
Fives wakes to dry lips grazing against his cheek.
He hums, blindly reaches for the touch with his eyes still closed, and wraps his fingers around an arm before he gently pulls it towards him. “Back already?”
It’s the reassurance, the worry in the act of waking each other up far away from their minds when they need to know, need to feel.
They’ve died once too many times; they prefer when the slightest stir will be enough to smooth over the prickling fear that still nestles in between the synapses of their nerves.

20 questions for fic writers!
Tagged by the talented @jesuisici33 @hoodie-buck @wikiangela @spotsandsocks
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
9
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
38,361
3. What fandoms do you write for?
9-1-1/Buddie
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
I want you to be selfish with me (4.6k M)
Tapping Morse Code into your heart (2.8k E)
You bring me comfort (4.2k T)
You with the dark curls, you with the watercolour eyes (1.6k M)
I Can See You (3k T)
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Yeah, I love getting comments, it literally makes my day so I always take the time to respond. Though I sometimes struggle with what to say so I might respond slowly but that's because I overthink everything 😂
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Oh, it's either I ain't proud of all the punches that I've thrown (826 T) in which Eddie's in Jail and he almost calls Buck (Coda for episode s03e05 Rage) OR Under the Guise of Violence (3k E) Eddie can't touch Buck unless it's to hurt him, after a sparring match Buck confronts him and it leads them back to Eddie's bedroom- I had a lot of people comment about the angsty ending 😂
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I'm kinda a sucker for happy endings, this might be cheating as it's not finished yet but when it is Alright, Cowboy, Go Get 'Em (17k E) is probably going to have the happiest ending.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I've had someone comment some criticism which I didn't think much of at the time because what they pointed out was something I was unhappy with myself and it did actually help me fix it but I realise now after talking to my friend who got me in to fic writing that that wasn't cool since I hadn't actually asked for any feedback.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Oh yeah, mostly just smut with a few kinks thrown in, playing around with light sub/dom stuff. I definitely want to write some more hardcore stuff in the future.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
I haven't, I'm not opposed, since I only write Buddie atm it probably would be a Lonestar cross over, maybe Tarlos? But I have so many WIPs that it will be very far in the future.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope, that would be pretty dope!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
No, I would love to try one day.
14. What’s your all time favorite ship?
Buddie's pretty much up there, but I do love Steddie and Anidala
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
God, none of them I hope but the one that's the furthest from being done is probably either my MMA Rivals AU or Mafia Husbands AU.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Ahhhh maybe dialogue and plot.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Uh, finishing? It's probably the biggest one atm, I just keep losing the mojo and struggling to stay focused until the end.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I love to but I have to make sure I'm using it right and appropriately.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Technically Sharkboy and Lava Girl when I was 8. 1D was the first I ever posted tho.
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
Probably one I haven't finished or posted yet called You make bad days infinitely better I'm really trying to make the writing pretty, you know? And I love it and I will finish it at some point.

first thoughts on Ted Lasso s03e05
(I had to watch it without captions, so I missed a lot. hoping to watch again with captions later.)
I'm pretty displeased with the Shandy storyline. I had so many fun backstories in mind for the two of them from back when they were roommates, and so many directions their current relationship could go... but that was far more boring and annoying an outcome than anything I'd considered.
Roy's description of breaking into a bedroom and beating someone seems way too premeditated for how we've ever seen Roy's anger work. (It's also very dark, but I have no problem with dark. it just doesn't seem like the right kind of dark for Roy, imo.)
bullying doesn't usually happen when one kid loses his temper at another... that's two kids getting in a fight. maybe his teachers mischaracterized the incident, but if Henry's actually bullying, it's going to take more to get past it.
kind of weird that Richmond was all wins two episodes ago thanks to Zava, then all losses this episode in spite of Zava (but with no explanation of what changed, unless I missed it)... maybe it would have made more sense from a writing perspective to have him suddenly quit at the beginning of the episode, leading to their string of losses? The quitting was also so abrupt... I hope we find out later that Rupert bribed him to quit, or something -- but since they'd been losing anyway, it's not like that seemed necessary.
It was entertaining to see the coaches begging for Trent to give advice, but I wish he'd been able to actually join in a little more then instead of just immediately getting shot down.
I didn't buy the turnaround of Jade starting to feel sympathy toward Nate. She never stopped smirking at him (and her boss offering him the best service made no difference to how she treated him), so I fully expected her to keep smirking when his date walked out on him.
I still hate the psychic storyline. I am happy for more time spent on Rebecca, but not this. (I'm also allergic to fertility storylines, but i don't object to that in the same way as the dumb psychic storyline.) Less staring at green matchbooks and running into exes just so someone can say a random line from the psychic, please... more interactions with other characters we care about!
omg Man City... I'm gonna need SO MUCH more fic about young Beard and Ted!! :D
I'm super into Keeley and Jack, and the way that they hooked up. I still am going to fantastize about Keeley getting her footballer threesomes, but now she has a girlfriend, too. XD (Can't see Jack hooking up with either Roy or Jamie, lol)
I'm going to be annoyed if we never get any further discussion of what exactly went down between Roy and Keeley when they broke up.
definitely my least favorite episode of this season, but it had a couple very bright spots.

Moral Orel #35: “Trigger” | October 24, 2008 - 12:15AM | S03E05
Trigger is a return to form, and I mean that in the most neutral way possible. I guess what I mean by that is that the formulaic episodes and the more experimental episodes of Moral Orel roughly have the same hit percentage, so really I’m just making note that “hey, this one feels like an older episode. It’s been a while!”. For starters, this one starts off with the actual regular opening sequence, and it ends with the usual “Orel making a stop-motion movie” sequence. It also is largely self-contained, with only the details of the plot having to do with the larger story of the hunting trip. This one is about Clay teaching Orel how to shoot. This could be a season one episode where they are preparing for A hunting trip rather than THE hunting trip.
Doughy, numbed by a lack of parental love (see Courtship), starts becoming a nihilistic loner type. When he shows up to Orel’s house during target shooting practice, he ends up picking up a gun and demonstrating an impressive proficiency at gun-shooting. Clay begins to give Doughy lots of attention, much to Orel’s chagrin. Orel, wracked with nerves, continues to shoot like absolute shit, constantly shooting things he’s not supposed to, many instances narrowly avoiding tragedy. This is bad, as he’s forced to bring his gun everywhere with him, even school. That last bit is maybe the episode’s edgiest joke, but I don’t think Columbine ever happened in the Moral Orel universe, which is important to keep in mind.
Doughy enjoys the attention and develops a sadistic streak when dealing with Orel. He gleefully rubs it in Orel’s face when Clay threatens to take Doughy on the hunting trip instead of Orel. Orel is eventually affected by this to the point where he too becomes nihilistic and numb, which also makes him become a good shot. Clay reneggs offering Doughy a spot on the camping trip, telling him it was just a ploy to get Orel to shoot better. “You could be Lee Harvey Oswald and I still wouldn’t bring you on that trip with me”.
Okay, so I’m pretty sure Columbine didn’t happen in this universe, but I could be wrong about that. JFK’s assassination seems to have happened, and I’d say for the most part the world of Moral Orel is frozen in time roughly around the time of that event, which is interesting to think about. I’m guessing the reference just exists for the joke; I don’t think Moral Orel considers itself a Venture Bros style show where every joke needs to be explained retroactively by lore. But the idea of an America that split off into right-wing Christian fanaticism during the mid-20th century and roughly stays that way is interesting. It also sorta matches the time period of Davey and Goliath which THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT A PARODY OF HOW DARE YOU.
This one has a lotta funny jokes. It’s conceptually dark but, but the entire series has towed this line. I just mean it handles the balancing act more like a pre-Nature season two episode. Like when Doughy feels dejected and his parents are gleefully using up the band-aids and refusing to let him have one even though he actually needs one is hilarious. “I promised my dad I’d help him hug me” is another very funny “actually a joke” line. Clay also memorably teaches Doughy how to smoke while a jealous Orel eavesdrops on them. This one feels like a very solid season two episode, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
44 NIGHTS OF OREL
Just Courtship aired between this and the last premiere. I complained about them not airing Courtship in front of Alone. How short-sighted of me.

Klaroline Fic: The Wolf III [05/21]
Summary: Months after their return to New Orleans, Klaus and Caroline try to settle into a semblance of normalcy, while Elijah struggles to forgive his brother's sins. But a mysterious prophecy that foretells the downfall of the Mikaelson family brings them all together in a war that will reopen ancient wounds and see each of the siblings doomed: one by friend, one by foe and one by family.
[It's The Originals Season 3, but Caroline had Klaus' baby, now she's a vampire and they are back in New Orleans after a stint in Mystic Falls. It's mostly about Klaroline, obviously.]
----- S03E05 Beautiful Mistake
"Roses are red. Lavender is blue. Come find me, before I find you," he reads, comprehension dawning in him with a cold shudder. "I suppose we should've been expecting her," he says drily. "She's never far behind wherever Tristan is."
"I remember her being a better poet," his brother grumbles with scorn.
"Well, I wouldn't say this is lacking in poetry." Neither Freya nor Caroline are home, which indicates the compound was being watched for an opportunity away from their attention, probably Elijah's as well. This was meant for Niklaus and Niklaus only. How fitting.
"She wants us to go find her. So let's," Klaus decides, dropping the letter where he found it and starting for the door.
"You're so eager, Niklaus."
He halts, turns back. "What are you implying?"
"Last time you even said her name was a thousand years ago, when you told me never to speak it again in your presence."
"So I'm to wait for her to leave more of her little calling cards all over my home?"
"I'm merely wondering... If there isn't something - someone - you should speak to first."
Klaus presses his lips to a fine line. "Leave Caroline out of this."
"She's already a part of this. This is her home," he says, motioning towards the lovely artistic composition in their courtyard. "This is a significant part of your past coming back to haunt you, much more so than Lucien, leaving dreadfully romantic calling cards all over the home you share with her. You can't keep her in the dark."
"There is no need to make fanfare out of this because Aurora will be gone from this city so fast there won't be enough time for introductions. Just as I wish Lucien and Tristan to stay away from my family, the same is true for her. I don't want any of them near Caroline, so she shall remain out of these entanglements."
Elijah sighs. "If you say so."
"Yes, I say so," he declares with finality. "But since you're so concerned, get rid of all this before she comes home, why don't you? Dreadful romanticism aside, I doubt she'll appreciate the mess. Flaunting dead bodies in front of Eve gets her in a right mood." Read the full chapter on AO3

I am so sorry for the unplanned long delay! Hope this giant-ass update (two episodes from the show combined) can make up for the long wait. ✨ As this is Aurora's long-awaited introduction to the story, I really hope you guys enjoy it. 😬 Took me forever writing and rewriting this chapter.
This writer is NERVOUS. So please, be kind! 🙏
As always, big thank you to @definedareasofuncertainty who had to put up with me freaking out about this and kindly went over both parts at the speed of light. ❤️
Your comments, reblogs, kudos and messages mean the world to me and also feed my volatile muse. ✨
