we need to get the aaddtsotu film to do well commercially like i cannot stop watching the trailer and everywhere i look people who saw the film last year at TIFF are all saying it's a great movie that does justice to the book and we need to get that film to do great commercially mostly because *eye* want to watch it in theatres and they might get a worldwide theatrical release if it does well in the us so us fans PLEASE watch the aaddtsotu film come september 8 i'm BEGGING

Music blared from the old, beat up jukebox in the corner of the Devil May Cry reception area, providing an upbeat backdrop to Eve’s otherwise uneventful evening. She scowled. She hadn’t expected anything major to be done for her birthday, but leaving her to mind the store while Dante went off to do God knows what? Not exactly what she’d had in mind. [cont.]

Sitting at her desk with her feet propped up before her, Eve played with glowing, golden orb she managed to conjure in her palm, her lips turned down in a bitter frown. Did Dante really forget her birthday /again/? She knew he was busy, but… it still stung. She sighed loudly, continuing to play with the golden orb of light as she stared at the ceiling, debating on whether or not she should just go ahead and crack open a bottle of champagne for herself. It was at that moment that the double doors burst open, causing Eve to nearly fall out of her chair. “Hey, babe,” Dante called, strolling easily through the threshold with a self-assured smirk in place. “Sorry to keep you waiting. I had a few things to take care of.” Eve merely huffed, continuing to focus on the golden orb. Maybe he’d catch the hint if she ignored him. [cont.]

But the thud of something being tossed onto her desk drew her eye—the small black box wrapped with a red bow, a single red rose tied into the center of the ribbon’s knot. Eve looked up at Dante, his smirk morphing into something much softer. “Like I said, I had a few things to take care of.” He leaned forward, gently pressing his lips to her forehead. “Happy birthday, babe.”

Vergil could only stare awkwardly at Nero, unsure what to say to his estranged (if he could even say that about their relationship) son. What should he say? What could he say? Nero was standing across from him, the two standing in the hallway while Dante was happily talking it up with Kyrie about...something related to strawberries. 

“Nero...I...” Vergil began, hesitantly so. “I understand that you must despise me-”

“No. And I won’t hate you.” Nero’s words caught him off guard. “I know you think that’s what you deserve but it’s not.” 

“...why.” Vergil asked in shock. 

“I was talking with Dante while you were with Nico.” Oh yes, he was...dragged off with Nico because she was interested in the Yamato. Normally he balked at anyone looking at his weapon but, with her, he could at least tell it was from genuine curiosity instead of world dominion. “He said you didn’t know you had me.” Vergil nodded. It was true, Nero being his flesh and blood was...a shock to him. A shock he had quickly grown into after Nero handily defeated him atop the Qliphoth. “If you had known...would you...” Nero trailed off but both of them knew what he was talking about. Their gaze settled on his arm, where the Devil Bringer used to be. 

“No.” Vergil said, at long last. “I wouldn’t.” Nero seemed to relax at that, just a little. “I don’t know how I can earn forgiveness for what I did to you.” 

“Start by not running from your problems. We’re tackling them together, whatever they are.” Vergil glanced up, meeting Nero’s gaze. He was taken aback by the intensity in his blue eyes, an intensity that reminded him so strong of...

Sparda. His own father.

“...of course.” Vergil nodded. Before Nero could say anything, Kyrie’s voice called for them. Nero looked up, more relaxed now than the moment before.

“Come on. Let’s go set the table for dinner.” He said, leaving Vergil in the hallway. Vergil watched him go before following him.

Hmm I don’t think anybody really reaches Asclepius levels, but I am really holding out for Dantes/BB/MHXX this summer (unfortunately that means skipping Skadi......) and Quetz this Christmas 😔😔 I must have thrown a total of around 1000sq at Quetz throughout all her banners and she hasn’t come home,,,,,,,,, Kama is pretty high up there too I’m excited for her
