The Haunting of Danny Fenton Chapter 2, Part 2
Masterpost (Thank you jaythefae for reading over this so that I could post it! This migraine has me writing a lot of swapped words.)
Okay, okay fuck. That wasn’t what Wally was going for at all!
It was a tower! Like Titan’s tower and the lightning bolt was supposed to be him. He was trying to tell them who he was, not spell doom. Who made a tower doom?
Wally put his fingers to his lips and paced. Or paced as much as he could. If he went too far from Danny (and boy had it taken a long time to even learn Danny’s name) he would… disintegrate, for lack of a better word. And wow did Wally want a better word because he did not like disintegrating. People shouldn’t disintegrate!
“Okay, okay, I can work with this! I did go through a major—” Wally leaned in to try and hear the conversation. Danny was clear enough, but anything Mina (or not Danny) said was like listening to the words through wind storm.
“…upheaval and destruction. Change, basically,” Mina said.
He wished she’d shout.
“And… change is doom?” Danny said. He sounded as dubious as Wally felt about that.
Mina shrugged. “People don’t — change. Like — so they get grum— and then— and tada! Change bad.”
“Well, I mean. Of course they went through a change, they’re dead,” Danny said.
Wally winced so hard he bumped into and through Danny’s shoulder. Danny shuddered at the touch.
“Or if not dead, trapped somewhere,” Danny added with a glance towards where Wally was standing.
It was a good sign that Danny was starting consider that Wally wasn’t a ghost. Wally really, really didn’t think that he was dead, after all. But how to get across that he was trapped in the Speed Force? He didn’t think there would be a card for that.
Wally zipped over to Mina’s side, took the cards, and shuffled through them. He really wished that he knew what these damn things meant. A small part of his brain said that messing with the cards like this was messing up the meaning, but fortune telling wasn’t real. (At least not normal human fortune telling.) Once he had finished stacking the spread set with cards he hoped would be useful, he put the cards back and returned to Danny’s side.
The world blurred and crackled around him.
This was using too much energy that he didn’t have. Something had to come from it.
Please.
This had to help.
-
“Well, that wasn’t any help.”
“Don’t say that Danny,” Mina said, but even she was frowning slightly down at her cards as if they were a puppy that had piddled on the floor.
“Do you want to go grab some food? I’m craving one of those avocado, tofu, and facon sandwiches from that place you love.”
“Oh, yes, that sounds excellent,” Mina said, perking up. She stood from the table and started back towards the kitchen. “But before you go, I want to give you some of a special tea. It will help you settle into a sort of zone so that maybe you can have a better chance of connecting with your spirit without you being hurt.”
“Mina Aleshire, are you giving me drugs?” Danny gasped dramatically as he wandered after her, Hubris held limply in his arms.
She paused in opening the cabinet, as if really having to consider the question. “Well, nothing illegal?”
“Mina!”
“It’s an herbal blend!” she argued. “Just, maybe don’t have anywhere to go or anything to do for a few hours after taking it. You know, just in case.”
Danny sighed. “The worst part is that I’m really considering taking this mystery herb blend.”
“It’s better than having seizures,” she pointed out as she handed him a little satchel.
“It’s better than having seizures,” he agreed and took it.
-
The tea smelled like rain and honeysuckle. Danny cradled the mug he was using more carefully than the thick, chipped ceramic warranted. The warmth seeped into his palms and bones. He breathed the pungent smell in and then let out the breath slowly.
He didn’t know if this would work.
It was almost certainly a bad idea, what with him being not entirely human, but it was at least an idea. Danny had never seen one of Mina’s readings go so badly. It went so badly that Danny felt certain that the ‘ghost’ had been interfering. The problem was, is that Danny didn’t know if the sabotage was on purpose or from ignorance.
He wanted to believe that it was ignorance. That the ghost had been trying to tell them something, but in doing so had messed up the reading. But Danny always wanted to believe the best in people.
It had gotten him burned too often.
It might get him burned again if the ghost was really out to hurt him. Mina couldn’t give him the clearest answer on what the tea was going to do, but Danny was pretty sure that it was going to make his spirit less attached to his body for a bit so that he could commune with the things not of this realm. A less attached spirit meant one that was easier to sever.
But he was already half dead, so what did it matter?
Or so he told himself.
Before he could run around the logic again, Danny tipped the mug back and took a long, slow sip. It was spicier than he expected, but in a good way. He drained half the cup steadily as he slowly settled into the mound of pillows that made up his bed. It really wasn’t half bad, for magical drug tea.
“I think I can smell that from here. Which, dude, is saying a lot because I’m stuck in the Speed Force.”
Danny hummed. “What’s the Speed Force?”
“What’s the—can… can you hear me? Can you actually hear me? Did the weird tea do something?!?” the words came in such a rush that they were hard to follow. It didn’t help that they sounded like they were coming from a badly tuned ham radio.
“Slower. You have to be slower. I can barely understand you. You’re static. You’re always static to me,” Danny said.
“Sorry. I’m sorry! I’m sorry I am and that I hurt you, I don’t want to hurt you. I don’t mean to. But you’re the only one that I can hear and see! I need your help!” The words sped up and up again until they were a blur—a roar—a scream—
The mug hit the mattress and bounced onto the floor with a crack as Danny clutched at his head to try to block the sound out.
The talking stopped.
His head continued to ring.
Danny curled up into the pillows with a whimper.
It was a minute or days later when Danny felt fingers running through his hair. They were wonderfully warm.
“—always hurting you. You keep trying for me though, don’t you?”
“Wanta help,” Danny mumbled.
The fingers stilled then picked back up their path. “I need the help too, which is… I’m supposed to be the hereo here, you know?”
“You’re dead,” Danny said.
“Ugh, no! Come on, you were finally moving away from that idea, Danny! I’m not dead! I’m trapped in the Speed Force.”
Danny finally found the strength to roll himself over. Bright blue eyes set among fiery hair and a beautiful scattering of freckles blinked down at him. Danny reached up an unsteady hand to brush over one of the freckled cheeks.
“Speed Force?”
“What gives me my powers. Something went wrong and I’m trapped. You seem to be the only one that can hear or see me and it’s hurting you.”
“Yeah, seizures suck,” Danny said. The world around them was just a swirl of color. Like when a ride at a carnival was spinning so fast that nothing was real anymore. “I don’t think I’m going to be okay when I wake up.”
They laughed, but it was a bitter, choked off sound. “No, Danny, I don’t think you’re going to be okay either.”
“Oh. How can I help you?”
They shook their head, red hair flew about. “You should focus on yourself.”
“Already hurt,” Danny pointed out. “Make it worth it. How can I help you?”
Their blue eyes searched his and then closed as they gave an almost keening whine. Man, they really were worried about him, weren’t they?
“If you can remember, go to Titan’s Tower,” they said finally. “Ask for Nightwing and… and tell him that I said that he's a real dick, okay?”
Danny blinked.
The world spun and spun and spun.
“What?”
“He’ll know what I mean,” they insisted. “He’ll know it’s from me. Tell the Titans that I’m with you and I’m trapped in the Speed Force and I need them to get me out.”
There was an alarm screaming now. Was it time to get up?
“And take care of yourself a little, okay?”
People were shouting.
“Okay.”
The world went dark.

Danny is a new technician at a rebuilt star labs. He didn't want to at first because Danny thought it would cut into his undead superhero/prince duties. Eventually though Clockwork (bullied) encouraged him and as it turns out, the lab is pretty lax about sudden "trouble at home". Plus, Danny can help set things back together when one of the Flashes messes up the timeline AGAIN.
(Flashpoint is what allowed Dan to come back as quickly as he did in the first place.)
The flash family, for lack of a better description, are straining. They're all putting up painted smiles that Danny knows aren't happening with his coworkers. Danny wants to be friendly with them but they're keeping him at a constant arms length away.
Barry, wally, Bart, and the rest of the flash family are freaking OUT. Why wouldn't they, their new technician caused the apocalypse. Granted they only know this because of an old speed scout from Bart. But it didn't have the time to tell them anymore than the name and some powers of one Dan phantom before fading. The timeline line the one man disaster's from doesn't exist anymore so they can't even check what happened or why the Dan destroyed everything. They can't even get rid of him because what if that sets off the guy!

Amity is a Dimensional Dump
So! Amity Park is a hub of weirdness of all sorts, mostly undead, but there are also a bunch of Multiversal oddities connected to the small town.
There are the minor anomalies. 5th Street has a bad habit of slipping into the Backrooms, Old Lady Jenkin's House sometimes has snow in summer, and of course the Night Sky had a 20% chance of swapping views to another Galaxy. Danny likes that one a lot.
But the biggest Anomaly is how many Multiversal Travellers get lost there.
They are always finding somebody wandering the streets with no idea where they are, and have to help them find their reality of origin. Other times they decide to stay for various reasons, ranging from a bad home life to being the only survivors of a Dead Universe. Half of the population if Amity was made up of the descendants of Lost Travelers, so their DNA was really a mixed bag.
Danny was flying over town when he spotted a Blur on the ground below.
He flew down to intercept, and found a boy in red and yellow panicking over his situation.
"Hey! Can I help you?" He called out.
The boy looked up, and gasped "Are you a Hero? I need help getting back to the Justice League!"
Danny chuckled, "Which one?"
The boy looked confused, "The Adult One? I guess?"
"Not what I meant, sorry. I mean, which Dimension are you from?" He clarified.
"Dimensions? What is going on!?" He shouted.
"Okay, let's calm down and restart. My name is Danny, who are you?" He introduced himself.
The boy took a deep breath, calming himself, before saying, "Okay, my name is Kid Flash, but you can just call me Wally."

God's TV- DC x DP prompt
Accidentally summoning a god from another dimension can happen, especially when cults are involved. However, no can could predict that the not only was the god a teenage boy but also a very bored teenage boy who didn't want to leave.
So he stayed and moved into Titans tower.
Danny is helpful (when he wants to be) but rarely goes out on missions. He says they are boring and nothing is dangerous enough to exert the effort. Instead, he minds the medical bay. Having a healer more than made up for the lack of help.
It's not like anyone disliked Danny or thought he didn't do anything it was just that he was unpredictable. Danny could be nice, considerate, and even sweet if he was working in the medbay. He could also be a pain in the ass anywhere else. He loved pranks and scaring people with his powers. He was harmless though.
No one really knew what he did all day. He was usually in his room doing something they guested. Said room was an anomaly. It was larger on the inside having been made into a pocket dimension. The appearance and organization of the room changed every time you went in.
It was after one mission that the team learned what was in the room.
A rogue had used their invention to erase Superboy's memories and they didn't know what to do. They took him to Danny who was currently rearranging the medicine by color. They hoped that his powers covered mind-altering afflictions. Unfortunately, Danny couldn't wave a hand and fix this.
Instead, Danny took the group to his room. The decor was neon Tokyo meets space right now. The furniture was currently floating and almost hitting Wonder Girl in the head with an end table. Of course, there was no gravity here.
"Stay here while I grab it," Danny said flying up the vertical corridor.
While he was gone the room rearranged itself into a contemporary format. The furniture grounded itself and shifted into a normal living room.
Danny returned with a cart and a headset. He placed a card he pulled out of the cart into the headset and put it on the dazed Superboy's head.
"Wait what is that?" Tim asked.
"It's his memories. I kept a backup in case this happened." Danny shrugged.
Immediately everyone began asking what the hell does that mean and why does he have that.
"Oh please, this dimension has this happened all the time. Amnesia is so cliché and cheap. I saw a pattern and decided the easiest way to prevent you from losing the entirety of your lives was to make save states of your memories." Danny said matter of fact.
Robin pinched the bridge of his nose.
Impulse studied the rack of cases and looking for the card with his name on it.
Wondergirl sighed, she was used to this from Robin but even he wouldn't go this far.
"What? It's not like just anyone can find these. Only you can access your own memories anyways. I just decided to repurpose my RE:Viewer." Danny pouted.
"What is a reviewer?" Wally asked flipping through the cases. Each one had titles like moves or shows with an arrangement of stickers.
"The RE:Viewer is something I created to catalog things I've seen looking into other dimensions. I don't have an infinite memory you know. But the longer I have my title the more I'll lose touch with my mortality. These things help me stay close to people by giving me the chance to remember how it feels. I also have been using them to get the stories of others. Keeping their experiences like you'd keep a TV show or movie. So many stories could have been lost to time but now they are saved. I use them to teach myself." Danny smiled.
The concept genuinely sounded interesting. Like experiencing a movie in 4d.
It had been 3 minutes before Kon took off the headset and back to his old self.
Danny pulled the input card out and it disappeared into another realm with a flick of the wrist. Danny was completely honest that the copies were inaccessible to everyone but him.
"You feeling alright Superboy? Your memory should be backed up until a week ago." Danny said shining a light in his eye.
"I'm fine. I think. What happened?" Kon asked batting the light out of his eyes.
"Explanation later. Take a nap first. You aren't concussed at least." Danny informed.
"What are the stickers for?" Wally said pointing at the rainbow of colors the card cases had.
"Just the emotions associated with the experiences. Orange is comedy, red is action, pink is romance, and blue is tragedy." Danny listed. "That one with the pink is one of my favorites. I meddled a bit in that world. Two people who had never met fell in love at two points at different times. One of them was doomed to die but I worked my magic on a mirror that allowed them to meet once. They shared notes left in different places for the other months ahead. Makes you believe in true love. A real tear-jerker."
"What about the black stickers?" Wally asked.
"Don't touch the black ones," Danny said darkly, smacking his hand away. "You don't need to know about those. I don't like thinking about them."
"So you just take the memories of others and put them inside your machine to replay later?" Batgirl asked. "Isn't that kind of wrong?"
"No, I asked permission. I usually pull them aside at some point and ask. If it's my memories (that's the green stickers) I don't need to. The rainbow ones are simulations. Like a video games." Danny responded patting her on the back for not being to hard on him about this admittedly weird situation.
"So what's the black one with the rainbow sticker?" Wally asked picking up the case that was obviously stuffed in the back.
"STOP TOUCHING THOSE!" Danny yelled pulling him away.

Danny made an innocent comment comparing Kyle and Dick
Danny is very new in the "official" hero scene so all his comparisons are very surface level. Aka, they are both fun to be around. Easy to talk to. Have a similar build and the same hair colour.
And now Wally is going on a super speed rant about how wrong he is.
Danny, a younger brother, chronic shit starter, always down for a brawl because of his ghost side, enjoyer of having guys on top of him and general menace just let's a smirk spread over his face, chooses violence and then interrupts the speedster by saying.
"They are also both cops"
The look on wally's face is priceless, Danny thinks he'd be dead if the guy had heat vision.
"But at least Kyle is a super space cop, meanwhile-"
"That's it!"
Gar is on the floor laughing and Donna is trying really hard to figure out how she's going to break up a brawl between a guy with superspeed and a ghost she can't touch unless he let's her.

Barry Allen’s relationship to the Speedforce is very science based because of the technological 50s and focus on nuclear technology and sciences in general media.
Wally Wests relationship to the Speedforce is spiritual because new wave religious movement was big in the 90s. A primary focus of the bad guys Wally fights in his comics are cults too because of this.
With that in mind: I feel like there should be a lot more ideas where Wally West handles various ghost king summoning cults rather than the Bats. That man experiences cults every other day istg.
#seriously. every other comic mini series in Mark Waid’s comic run is a cult#and before that even MORE times Wally stumbles upon a cult. it’s bonkers#dpxdc#danny phantom#dp x dc#bones prompts

Of all the places he could have been summoned to, Danny Phantom had never considered a private school’s bathroom to be one of them.
With glowing green skin, a shock of flickering flames for hair, and a suit made out of the spaces between collapsing stars, Danny stared down at the stupefied faces of Gotham Academy’s finest students. One of them had their face in their hands, having caught sight of him and undergoing all the stages of grief in but a moment.
They sat around a circle that he was appropriately impressed with considering the limited space they had to work with. Danny could see the empty stalls, some of which were adorned with drawings and writings that were left by the, no-doubt, extremely busy caretaker.
“Seriously, a bathroom?” Danny wrinkled his nose.
“Holy shit, that actually worked?” One of the kids blurted out, then slammed their hands on top of their mouth.
“Did you expect it not to?” Danny squinted at them, frowning. It’s Friday, so it’s not like he had much to do, but Danny would prefer it if his time wasn’t wasted.
“No- no, your… uh, highness?”
“All of that schooling and you’re still uneducated,” one of the other ones hissed at the red headed kid who spoke. It’s “Your Majesty.” He’s a king, idiot!”
That was a pretty solid burn but, “It’s actually just Phantom. Did you guys want something? I’m busy.”
He’s not busy, but who cares?
“Uh…” the kids exchanged glances. The one in the back sighed and spoke up. He adjusted his glasses.
“We’re sorry for bothering you, Phantom. You wouldn’t happen to have a solution for dimensional separation, would you?”
“Huh.” Danny tilted his head, face souring. “I hate dimensional issues. They’re the worst. Who’s causing them?”
“His name’s Klarion!” The one who slapped a hand across his mouth earlier piped up.
“Oh! The lords of chaos or whatever. Yeah, I can help, for a price.”
Danny is against unpaid labor. Extremely against it, considering his side gig is being a half-dead vigilante. Then again, are you really a vigilante if you’re not half dead on a regular basis?
“What do you want?” Despite the reluctance from earlier, it’s clear the one with the glasses made the big decisions in this weird friend group.
“… A hundred dollars.”
“That’s it? No stipulations?” When Danny nodded, the kid had a calculating expression. “Deal.” The teen said immediately. He pulled out cash and wow, Danny’s definitely in a place with a different tax bracket.
He snatched it. Nasty burger money!
“Deal’s a deal. Also, don’t ever summon me again, but if you do, don’t ever do it in a bathroom again. You kids are so weird.” Danny floated out of the circle, grinning sharply. He formed a small bird- he doesn’t know why, but it felt right- of ice and handed it to the kid with glasses. “There. Proof of the deal.”
With that, Danny disappeared. Private school kids were so fucking weird, but… Dash and his goons were probably worse. What’s a little ritualistic summoning in the face of teenagers?
——
“I leave you guys alone for ten minutes and you summon the king of the dead?” Robin narrowed his eyes at his teammates, traitors who had the good graces to look sheepish. “How could you?! I wanted to try, too!”
Kid Flash patted him on the shoulder, a granola bar appearing in his mouth now that the possible world ending terror disappeared. “Sorry, Rob. Maybe next time! Magic still isn’t real though.”
“I’m not doing this shit in a bathroom again,” Artemis rolled back to her feet. “He sounded like he was going to rip our bones out if we ever summoned him in a bathroom again.”
“Ugh…”

you know I am firmly on the Long Haired Danny wagon, i have my seat picked out and snacks for the ride.
Danny would have his hair up once they start cooking or using sewing machines (maybe they can make scrunchies one day and start a basket of those up for grabs, I just like Danny being the I Know A Guy for all the niche teen shit). Messy bun with one of those head wrap face mask things in galaxy prints to keep the wispy hairs out of his face. Which means poor Wally has a clear view of those pretty bright (glowy) eyes before he's meeting floor tile. Delicately pointed ears with piercings, maybe some cute little ghostie charms or gummy bears depending on the vibe of the day. Wally is finding more and more little details to notice every time they 'accidentally' run into each other. First time Danny's seen with his hair down, Flash almost lets a criminal loose because he was so distracted he let go. Poor man was not prepared for the scattered braids with cuffs and beads, more jewelry than he ever wears in school (long necklaces are a hazard after all) and pants that have to be too tight for the teachers dress code. Maybe he's got Captain Cold in hand (literally) and Leonard, who's a smart man, puts two and two together and Flash is getting a discussion on how he better not deliberately hurt his cousin. Danny can get the same talking to once the masks are off, Flash is his hero, he has to be at his best in order to make this worth while.
Okay okay I've seen a Lot of teacher Danny Aus but what if instead of chemistry or engineering...
It's Home Ec. Like this guy decided to get a degree in home economics due to literally the death trap of a house he grew up in where he ans his sister had to learn home economics things on their own so they could just survive.
But this is Danny so of course his classes are chaotic.
First day he brings out a microwave and a series of different food ingredients and shows his students just what you aren't supposed to microwave. And the first thing be shows is eggs.
By showing each different method that people have tried to cook eggs in a microwave with various levels of explosive results. Starting with a raw still shelled egg.
He did provide them noise canceling headphones and safety goggles just in case.
"Alright class, today you are going to learn what you can't cook in a microwave!"

The Haunting of Danny Fenton, p4
Masterpost late, tired, still emotional and physically fragile. please no editing <3
“ir? Sir?”
Danny mumbled something incoherent that was supposed to be a response to that, or befuddlement about being called ‘sir’, or at least something better than ‘wadamehaaftz’. The bite of a tightening blood pressure cuff around his arm helped bring him a little be back to the world. He opened his eyes right into too bright light and winced back in reaction.
“Sir? Do you need us to call an ambulance?” the panicked looking barista asked. She was crouched down next to him where he lay on the floor.
Great, now he could never come back to this coffee shop. That was a damn shame, they had really good bagels.
“No,” Danny managed to make his mouth say. “Seizure. Newish thing for me. I’m fine—will be fine. Sorry.”
“Maybe you should stay laying down for a moment longer?” The barista suggested.
Danny hummed. “Don’t want to be a bother.”
“Dude,” someone said off to Danny’s right. He didn’t think it was worth the effort to turn his head and look, “you just had a seizure. You were screaming. Like, I think we’re all okay if you lay there. We can step around you.”
There were murmurers of agreement.
“Okay, yeah, you know what, great,” Danny said and summoned the willpower to lift his hand and give there room a thumbs up. He let it drop listlessly back down onto his chest.
At least the floor was cool against his back. And he did feel a bit better not trying to get up immediately. When he finally pulled himself back up into his chair, the nice barista brought him a glass of ice water with a straw. Danny drank every drop of the first glass and a refill until the paper of the stupid straw started to turn to mush between his lips.
Knowing that he wouldn’t be up for doing much especially that day, Danny got a bagel sandwich to go, left a generous tip, and fled the cafe with his proverbial tail between his legs.
Penny was was at the apartment. She shoved a still warm load of banana bread at Danny as she bitched about her latest failed relationship. Apparently her girlfriend had been hooking up with the bouncer at their favorite bar. Not that Penny would have minded if they had talked through it before hand and Penny was allowed to join every now and again.
Which, fair, the bouncer did have amazing arms.
When Penny’s phone rang, blaring a dated pop song, Danny was able to make his escape with the added load of his two liter water bottle and bag of little oranges. Or not oranges—clementines? Tangelos? Whatever, little oranges.
He set everything down on the end of his bed before flinging himself onto it.
Another seizure. A worse one.
But a clearer vision of the ghost than he’d ever had before.
Groaning, Danny dragged himself to hang over the edge of his bed so he could pull out one of the storage cubes from under it. After a bit of shuffling, he got the one he wanted out from the back: a long ignored stack of art supplies. Danny rummaged around in it for a pencil and eraser before he pulled the sketchbook out from the bottom. He flipped past old game ides and idle doodles to find a blank page and started to work.
There was so much of the ghost that he still couldn’t define, but the more he worked at the sketch of the ghost’s face, the more he started to narrow it down.
Danny stared down at the page.
Overworked eyes stared back.
Feeling frustrated at how close it was, Danny grabbed a blue marker from the page and filled in the eyes carefully. Then, with almost irritated strokes, Danny roughly messed in the strikingly orange hair.
Now his ghost started back.
“Hello there…"

Pt 5 of the Danny is a clone/reincarnation in DC au. Tw: discussions of sa and child sa
[Part 4 here]
Danny is not sure how he got talked into this. Sure, he's been steadily getting better at "normal" interactions over the last 2 and a half years, and he's met or is family with everyone here, but it's still a lot. It's Dick, Wally, Kori, Raven, Jon, Damian, Kon, Bernard, Tim, Jason, Roy, and him all camped out in the second largest family room for a sleepover. Sort of. As overwhelmed as he feels, it's still rather fun.
They have movies playing in the background while they all play different games. At first, different groups split off to play board games or card games, but Dick decided they should play something all together. It was hard to find something that accommodated so many players, so they decided to play never have I ever.
Danny could even play honestly because everyone here knows about his "second set" of memories. So there's no questions if he puts a finger down to something he hasn't technically done from their perspective. But it does mean they hone in when he hesitates.
"Never have I ever lost my virginity." Damian said it because he knew Tim, Jason, and Dick would put their fingers down, but his eyes widen when Danny debates if he should. "Seriously?"
"I'm not sure it counts.." Danny shifts uncomfortably.
"Oh-ho! You lose it to someone Before?" Jason teases, "Who was it? A girlfriend? A boyfriend?"
"Jason.." Dick scolds while staring hard at Danny. He's clearly pieced it together. There's this look on his face that isn't sympathy, but empathy. Danny feels sick knowing his eldest brother knows exactly what he means because he's also been through something similar.
"I've actually never made it past kissing with a romantic interest." Danny can see the exact moment his very specific wording clicks. He starts trembling as a bunch of ugly emotions make themselves known.
"Shit."
"Danny-"
"I don't think it counts." Dick cuts everyone off, his sunshine smile nowhere to be seen. "No more than my assaults should be considered cheating."
The way Kori flinches leads Danny to believe that's exactly what she accused him of at some point. He knows they're exs, but didn't know the details. The guilt written all over her over this topic is reassuring, though.
"Sometimes things happen outside of our control." Dick gives a small sad smile. "Which means we can't blame ourselves. We just figure out how to live in the aftermath."
The fact Dick has been sexually assaulted seems to be news to everyone, but Wally and Kori. The anger on both of their behalves is heartwarming, but Danny just feels the need to scrub his skin raw. The images of the pedophiles pretending to be scientists flashing before his eye and their phantom touches making him feel dirty.
"I'm never going to escape what that lab did to me.."
"You already are." Kon pipes up. "Look around you, kid. Even just a year ago, you wouldn't have agreed to be part of this hangout. Sure, the scars will never go away, you'll have moments where you feel like nothing but an experiment or a tool, instead of the kind and bright person you are, but that's okay-"
"Whenever you forget. The people who care about you will just have to remind you!" Jon's bright grin has sadness mixed in it.
"Danny?" Tim shuffles closer. "Can I hug you?"
Danny doesn't verbally answer, just nods and crawls into Tim's lap. Danny curls up tightly and whispers. "I think I'm done playing for now."
"Alright.." Tim hugs him close, rubbing soothing circles on his back. A glance towards Dick reveals Wally and Kori have him sandwiched between them, giving him comfort.
"How..." Jason starts slowly, clearly still recovering from the information that his eldest and youngest brothers have both been assaulted. "How about we play Uno? We have 3 packs worth, so there should be enough."
Danny knows this won't be the last time the topic of their assaults are brought up, but it's a weird sort of painful healing to even just acknowledge it happened. It'll probably also stop them from trying to push him into relationships like they do with Damian. He can't stomach the thought of dating currently. He's happy just sticking to platonic affection for now.

Ultraluminary
DPxDC #7 DeadTired AU, also a Songfic
For a visual of what Im’a…trying to describe, here’s the link
_______________
Tim was going to explode! His favorite singer Phantom, was coming to Gotham. He even made sure he got an extra ten hours of sleep, to prepare for the concert. Con was just as excited, and both of them (along with the whole of Young Justice) had scored pit passes to see Phantom live.
They arrived at the venue two hours early, just like they’d planned. Technically, it was to get good spots at the front of the stage for all the performers… but let’s be real– Tim wanted to be as close to Phantom as physically possible.
The air buzzed with anticipation. The sky overhead was dimming toward dusk, and the venue lights flickered to life, casting golden beams across the crowd. People were jittery, loud, and booming with excitement. But Tim’s nerves felt different, he wasn’t just excited. He was wired, on edge, like something electric was coiled tight inside him.
His heartbeat had been climbing all day, not just from the adrenaline of the concert, but from the thought of seeing Phantom in person.
Hearing that voice live.
Seeing his smile.
Feeling whatever strange, magnetic pull that voice always had on him—but this time, face to face.
The first performer to hit the stage was Spectra. Her haunting voice swept over the crowd, quieting them instantly.
She opened with a slow, melancholic melody, her voice threading through the air like mist. Every note was bittersweet, aching with beauty. The kind of sound that curled around your ribs and squeezed.
Tim found himself holding his breath through parts of it, his heart beating in time with the hollow echo of her voice. He noticed Con quietly wiping at his eyes halfway through the second song, and honestly? Tim couldn’t blame him. Her music didn’t just tug at your heartstrings– it played them like a violin.
When Spectra’s set ended, the crowd clapped softly, reverently, as if afraid to break the spell she'd cast.
Tim exhaled, realizing he’d been gripping the barrier at the front without noticing. His palms were sweaty. He wasn’t even to the main event yet, and he already felt undone.
Then, all at once– Ember stormed the stage like lightning.
A thunderous chord split the air as her guitar roared to life, wild and electric. The speakers shook under the weight of her sound, each riff scorching through the air like fire made music. She didn’t just play– she owned the stage, strutting across it with the kind of effortless swagger that turned chaos into art.
The crowd exploded into motion, a tidal wave of movement crashing against the rhythm. Ember was a storm in leather and flame, her voice a howl of rebellion that wrapped around the crowd and refused to let go.
Cassie lost it completely.
She was shrieking the lyrics like they were gospel, arms in the air, hair flying as she headbanged and danced without a shred of self-consciousness. She grabbed Wally by the shoulders, shaking him with wild enthusiasm until he finally gave in and started jumping beside her, laughing.
“You don’t get it!” she shouted over the music, practically vibrating with joy. “She’s a legend! Ember was my entire villain era– LOOK AT HER!”
Wally grinned, eyes wide as he tried to keep up with her energy. “I am looking! I think I’m witnessing a religious experience!”
Cassie didn’t hear him. She was too busy air-guitaring along, eyes shining with awe every time Ember hit another screaming note. Her voice was fire, her presence pure magnetism– fierce, beautiful, untouchable.
Tim laughed, the sound half-swallowed by the crowd, but still warm. There was a buzz under his skin now– a steady, pulsing anticipation. Ember’s energy was contagious, but the real reason his pulse wouldn’t settle was because next… was Phantom.
As Ember’s final song hit its climax, she spun her guitar around her back in one smooth, defiant motion and strutted to center stage. Sweat glistened on her skin under the stage lights, her eyes blazing with the high of performance.
She raised her arms high and shouted into the mic, voice still crackling with adrenaline. “Y’ALL KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS!”
The crowd erupted, deafening.
“GOTHAM CITY! MAKE SOME NOISE FOR THE ONE! THE ONLY! PHANTOM!”
The lights cut out in an instant. A thin curtain dropped from the ceiling, casting the stage in silhouette.
The cheering reached a fever pitch– screams, stomps, whistles, cries of “WE LOVE YOU!” echoing into the darkness. It was pure chaos, pure electricity.
And Tim… Tim’s breath caught.
In the suspended hush between the cheers and whatever came next, his heart thundered in his chest. That tiny pause felt like it stretched forever, holding him still in its grip.
Then– A breath through a microphone.
The sound alone sent a shiver down Tim’s spine, sharp and sudden, like the world itself had inhaled with him.
The crowd fell quiet.
“I'm the light, every night in your world…”
That voice.
That voice.
It hit him like gravity. Smooth and silken, wrapped in a depth of emotion that settled in his bones and pulled tight around his chest like a velvet ribbon. There was something rich and haunting in it– rising and falling like the tide, aching and beautiful in every syllable.
Tim’s heart clenched. He’d never heard anything like it.
A soft glow began to bloom on the stage, a wash of blue light illuminating a figure behind the curtain– silhouetted, ethereal.
“Are you ready to watch me be leg-en-dary?”
The figure moved, arm raised high in a bold, elegant pose– singing into what looked like a microphone.
“'Cause I'm… ultra-luminary.”
With a sweep across his body, the veils dropped– timed perfectly with the thrum of the first beat. Light cascaded like a waterfall, revealing Phantom in full.
And Tim forgot how to breathe.
Phantom smirked beneath lashes dusted in glitter that shimmered like stardust, casting celestial sparks around his vivid green eyes. His outfit shimmered in deep hues of blues, indigos, and rich violets that rippled like a galaxy draped across his skin. Every movement sent his fabric trailing behind him in waves, and the very air seemed to warp around his presence.
Tim was spellbound…completely, hopelessly frozen. So close. He was so close. If he just reached out–
A sudden push from the crowd knocked him forward, shoving him straight to the front of the T-shaped stage. The pulse of bass echoed in his ribs, but all he could see was Phantom.
Phantom tossed the fake microphone into the audience with a grin, striding confidently down the extended runway. His steps matched the beat, his hands swinging with graceful intention.
“You wish on me in my glitter light, First star you see tonight…”
He pointed toward the distant horizon, foot dragging gently along the stage with the melody’s pull, like painting light with movement.
“So wish away– wish with all your might Upon this radiant sight.”
Phantom threw his head back in a sweeping motion, then spun in a dazzling flare of color. His hands sparked with glowing light, and as he dropped smoothly to the stage floor, brilliant beams burst outward from his fingertips, piercing the blue atmosphere with radiant streaks of pink and orange.
The audience screamed in delight, but Tim could barely hear it. The world had narrowed down to this: light, sound, color… and him.
“The stars Ignite, They flame from dust Born out of gravity and force– they combust…”
The beat dropped into a low, pulsing thrum that vibrated through the floor and straight into Tim’s chest. His breath caught, his heart pounding in time with the rhythm, pupils blown wide as Phantom moved closer.
Swaying. Flowing. Every step like a ripple through liquid light.
Phantom swept down the strip with effortless grace, closing the distance, and Tim’s whole body leaned forward, drawn like a moth to flame.
He stopped right at the edge of the stage.
Right in front of him.
Tim looked up, caught in the gravitational pull of him, and the world narrowed down to Phantom’s silhouette bathed in starlight.
Backup dancers rose seamlessly from hidden platforms, flanking him with perfectly synchronized movements, their voices layering in sweet, high harmonies.
“And though they try…in ri-val-ry They’ll never shine bright as me.”
The lights suddenly went black.
Tim's breath hitched.
Phantom held the final note, arms rising in slow reverence… and then, with a single, dramatic throw downward, the stage exploded into blinding bursts of white, pink, and yellow, washing the entire stadium in light.
His outfit shimmered again, colors shifting, reflecting the explosion like a living aurora. He had become a supernova incarnate.
“I’m the light every night in your world– Eh”
Phantom pointed directly into the crowd, his body bending down low before rising back up in a fluid arc, hips rolling effortlessly as he danced across the stage’s edge. The backup dancers followed him like orbiting satellites, flawless and entranced.
And for a heartbeat, Tim could swear Phantom’s eyes locked onto his.
His breath hitched –cheeks flushing hot– and somewhere behind him, he faintly heard Conner’s laugh, low and teasing.
But he couldn’t look away.
“You revel in the glory of my beau–ty”
Phantom shimmered, dragging one hand slowly across his face, fingers trailing like liquid light. His eyes flared brighter, almost glowing. Then he raised his leg in a dramatic kick forward, stepping into a powerful pose, dragging his hand up the length of his own body.
Tim’s gaze followed every motion, helplessly caught in the slow, sensuous gravity of it.
This… this being wasn’t just a performer.
He was a celestial event.
A deity wrapped in stardust and soundwaves. And Tim…Tim would kneel, would offer up his soul if it meant getting closer.
To feel.
To hold.
To touch.
“Ya ready to watch me be le-gen-dary?
'Cause I'm ultra-lumi-nary.”
Phantom spun around, and the screen behind him lit up, catching the motion in perfect clarity. Even with his back to the crowd –back to Tim– the camera zoomed in on his face, capturing the sly smirk and the teasing shrug he tossed at the lens.
The audience screamed.
And then…he launched.
Phantom shot upward, soaring off the stage like a burst of cosmic light. His laughter rang out above the beat, bright and joyful, as he twirled mid-air arms spread wide, trailing glittering streaks behind him.
He danced across the open sky like a star set free, and Tim… Tim was falling.
“Whoa… Wel-come to Lu-na-ria Whoa… So Spec-ta-cularia”
Many more screens lit up all around the stadium, like constellations blinking into existence. Each one shimmered with Phantom’s dazzling smile as he flew along the outer walls, trailing sparklers in his wake like a rocket launching into space.
“Whoa… Super Sin-gu-lary”
Phantom soared in a graceful arc, then descended slowly toward center stage, lowered on a hidden platform. He didn’t miss a beat– didn’t stumble, didn’t even breathe wrong. He glided, slipping effortlessly into the next movement. Arms raised in a dramatic flex toward the crowd, then swept high above his head before cascading low in a fluid ripple through his torso.
With one hand on his hip, he pointed out to the chaotic, euphoric sea of fans in every direction. Then he spun his hand in a loop, pressing it against his chest and crossing both arms into an X, winking playfully at the nearest camera.
“‘Cause I’m so Very Very
Extra-ordi-naria”
The crowd screamed, a tidal wave of sound crashing into the stage. Tim felt dizzy from the sheer intensity of it all.The lights, the music, the energy thrumming in his bones like a second heartbeat. His fingers curled against the barricade in front of him, clutching it like an anchor.
There was a brief pause in the music as a spotlight swept to the side stage.
A DJ stood behind a set of turntables, bathed in golden light. He wore a red beanie and a dark blue button-down shirt, sleeves rolled to his elbows. Short dreadlocks framed his face, warm-toned skin catching hints of the light display still strobing in blues, pinks, and yellows.
One hand pressed a headphone to his ear, the other flicking and spinning expertly across the console, each movement subtle but confident, shaping the entire pulse of the show with flicks of his wrist and taps of his fingers.
Tim barely noticed him.
But Wally? Wally definitely did.
Even now, with the DJ’s booth dimming again as the spotlight faded, Wally’s eyes lingered on that corner of the stage, a quiet grin on his lips.
Tim would’ve teased him– if he could look away from Phantom long enough to form a coherent sentence.
“The cosmic shine of my fine display
Can turn the Night to Day”
The lights slowly shifted, bleeding from galactic neons into soft gradients of peach and rose gold, mimicking the glow of a rising sun. Phantom ascended with it, higher than before, bathed in the morning light. His silhouette floated in a swirl of lavender, white, and the faintest dusting of orange; like sunrise painted into motion.
“I hear they say that the Milky Way Can't help but envy me”
He twirled in slow, lazy circles, each movement dripping with confidence, every step and flick of his fingers divine. He held his hand out in a dramatic flourish, head bobbing with a lidded gaze and a smug, dazzling grin that made Tim’s stomach twist with heat.
That grin could end empires.
And then Phantom spun –faster, brighter– arms thrown wide as he rose even higher, a glowing white light rising with him like the first star of a brand new dawn.
Tim felt breathless.
Completely and utterly wrecked.
“I am the Brigh-test Star
Superb Spec-tacular…”
Phantom tilted backward… then suddenly dropped.
It was like a wire snapped. A high note rang out –sharp, jarring– and then nothing.
The music vanished. The lights blinked out.
For a moment, the stadium was swallowed in silence.
Gasps echoed from every direction. Uneasy murmurs swept through the crowd like a rising tide.
And then, a dim green glow flickered to life on the stage.
Phantom was kneeling, bowed low, hands braced on the floor like he was in mourning or prayer. His freckles shimmered faintly in the dark, barely illuminating the sorrow carved into his face.
A low beat began to thrum again– soft, slow, like a heartbeat pulled from the wreckage of grief.
“It was a desert on the Moon... When… We... Ar-rived
Gathering all of my tears, heart-break and sighs”
Tim’s breath hitched.
His chest clenched tight as Phantom lifted his head, glowing green tears streaking down his cheeks. They slipped into his cupped palms, forming a soft, shimmering puddle –grief made visible, grief made beautiful– until the tears began to rise, floating gently into the air.
They curled upward in spirals, slow and reverent, trailing like stardust through the air.
And Phantom rose with them.
He didn’t move like a performer anymore… he moved like a spirit in mourning, following the path of his sorrow through the stars.
“Tuck made a potion Ignite and Tur-ned the Night
To a Ra-diant City of Light”
The tears –no, the galaxy– shifted into swirling hues of color: pinks, purples, blues, golds. They danced in graceful spins and turns above the audience, encircling Phantom in a spiral of light. He hung at the center of it, delicate and radiant, like the eye of a sorrow-born nebula.
Tim could hardly breathe.
Around him, he heard sniffles…quiet gasps, soft sobs, people trying to hold it in and failing. And he wasn’t any better.
His eyes stung, vision blurring through tears he hadn’t even realized were falling. His cheeks were damp, catching the colored lights and reflecting them like glass. He hiccuped –sharp, involuntary– and clenched his jaw to keep another from slipping out. His whole body trembled, shoulders shaking as he held himself together by threads.
And still, Phantom rose.
“From tears I Rise!
I Rise!”
From the center of that luminous constellation, Phantom surged into motion, trailing light behind him like a comet’s tail. He streaked across the stage, over the crowd, a radiant streak of motion and color and sorrow reborn.
The crowd’s voices rose with him– soft at first, then louder, catching the echo of his words like a lifeline.
Tim looked up, eyes swollen and burning, heart wide open and cracked down the middle. Phantom was a force of nature, a miracle.
He was the ache in Tim’s chest made manifest, wrapped in starlight.
“I’m the light every night in your world– Eh
You revel in the glory of my beau–ty”
Phantom landed back on stage with effortless grace, dancers surrounding him in synchronized motion. Behind him, the jumbo screen projected every perfect step, every flick of his hands, every breathtaking close-up of his face.
Tim had been jostled back a few rows during the crowd’s earlier rush, but he barely noticed. His body moved on autopilot, weaving between people with numb determination until he found his spot again– right where he started.
Then he looked up.
And his heart stopped.
“Ya ready to watch me be le-gen-dary?
'Cause I'm ultra-lumi-nary.”
As Phantom drew out the last word, he raised his arm and pointed directly into the crowd.
Directly at Tim.
Their eyes locked, and the world around them faded.
A slow, knowing grin curved Phantom’s lips as he began descending down the stage again, hips swaying, steps fluid, rhythmic. The chorus echoed behind him, voices and lights swelling in tandem– but Phantom only had eyes for him.
“So Spec-tacularia”
The grin widened when he caught sight of Tim’s face– completely stunned, flushed, eyes wide like he’d been struck by lightning.
“Whoa… Super Singulary”
Phantom stopped at the edge of the stage, just a few feet above him.
Tim stared up, breath held tight in his lungs. His heart was a thunderclap, pounding so loud it nearly drowned the music.
And then Phantom leaned down –slow, smooth, like a secret unfurling– and reached out.
Fingertips brushed under Tim’s chin, tilting it gently upward.
The touch was featherlight, reverent, like he’d been waiting for this.
“‘Cause I’m so Very Very
Extra-ordi-naria”
The last note rang out, echoing into stillness.
But Phantom didn’t let go.
For a second, it was just them. Stage lights casting halos. Phantom’s fingers still resting beneath Tim’s chin, eyes soft and warm now– softer than they’d ever been in the performance. Almost fond.
A small, tilted smile curled on his lips. “Star-struck, baby?”
Tim choked on a breath and nodded, couldn’t even pretend to be smooth about it. He was red-faced and trembling and absolutely wrecked. He followed the movement of Phantom’s hand as he let go and stepped back, body still humming from the brief contact.
The crowd roared, but Tim barely heard it over the racing beat of his own pulse.
Phantom turned with a dazzling flourish, arms stretched wide to the audience. “Thank you for having me, Gotham City!”
The stadium erupted into thunderous applause.
“And let’s give a big thanks to my lovely openers– Spectra and Ember!”
The two women stepped forward with elegant bows, basking in the crowd’s adoration. Phantom slung an arm around them easily, still glittering in the spotlight.
Tim just stood there.
Still.
Dazed.
That touch –that smile, that look– it hadn’t been part of the show. It couldn’t have been.
He could still feel it. Right there on his chin. Like fire and electricity wrapped in a ghost’s kiss.
Phantom glanced back once more before leaving the stage– eyes finding his with precision.
Another smirk.
Brighter than starlight.
“Bye, baby~.”
And then he was gone.

There’s so many stories out there where the heroes are shocked about Danny’s shenanigans and life, let that table be turned. Danny spouts the most buckwild thing that has ever happened to him and that’s why he’s in this dimension. Wally West just goes with the flow in a “same old same old, just another Tuesday. I’ve dealt with something similar like 5 different times! Let me tell you about my experience so we can relate” way, and Danny Is frankly stunned.
#bones prompts#I’ve been reading Flash comics recently and the things Danny has gone through in the show doesn’t hold a CANDLE to the stuff Wally deals#with every other comic. the amount of time travel/dimension travel Wally stories I’ve read and ones where he knows about OUR world/breaks#the 4th wall is in the low dozens and I’ve only read like 100 Flash comics so far#dpxdc#danny phantom#dp x dc

This Song and Dance once again
Ember has returned to the alive side of the portal for another attempt at ultimate stardom, this time she’s really going to do a world tour babey!
She's learned some lessons from her last attempts. She's taking it outside of hinky dinky Amity Park and she'll start with getting some prime quality fans first, some real all stars themselves so to speak, after all, Phantom surely can’t be the only teen out there with aspirations for heroism right?
Danny realises something is very wrong when a new hit single which has Ember’s brand slapped all over it, is spreading all over the world at an alarming rate. He already had the feeling that things were (literally) being too quiet lately
He's forced to leave Amity to hunt her down and eventually finds himself in the presence of two Teen Titans, namely Robin (who figured out it was sound based mind control on time and put his protective batplugs in). And Aqua Lad, whose Atlantean biology means that his ear membranes are adapted for high pressure and that has the side effect of protecting him from the mind control.
Technically they also have Speedy with them who was tinkering with new arrow ideas when shit hit the fan and was already wearing ear protection at the time (though to be fair, he also figured it out. You can only fight count Vertigo so many times and not learn the signs of this particular brand of fuckery) but he got caught by Wonder Girl's lasso and he's now sitting tied up at the sidelines, giving commentary.
And if you were to ask Robin right now, being generally unhelpful.
It's mostly just him bickering with Dick and Garth awkwardly trying to get them to stop but he's not good at it cause usually it's Donna or Wally who break these things up and speaking off… Dealing with a mind controlled speedster and amazon combo really sucks actually.
Danny has never fought alongside other heroes before and it probably shows but besides Garth’s hydrokinesis and magic, Danny’s attacks are the most effective against Ember and neither Wally nor Donna can catch him much to Ember's frustration.
But he's very good at drawing all of her attacks to him. Which is really great cause none of the Titans have experience dealing with a realms being.
So, both sides have two titans and a ghost… At least the fight is fair?
