Danny is Famous
Not like some celebrity type thing, not that big at least. No, he's famous like Opportunity was. He was a successful astronaut who was an absolute sweetheart and figured out how to make live videos with decent quality far into space (Tucker did but nobody needs specifics).
The footage as he went off course was all over the place for a while. He was rushing around, quickly sending things to NASA headquarters so it wouldn't be lost. Then it all disconnected after he made a heart wrenching quote.
"I guess this is why people say the sky's the limit."
Those were his last words.
Well, until now, 200 years later. Now he's in a hospital, standing on a scale as the mutant-quirk doctor took his height measurements. He was happy when the doctor said that he was 5'11".
He took after his dad in height, though still had a lanky figure. Jazz took after mom in everything, so she was shorter. It was fun teasing her, but she would forever be the boss. Short queen and whatever. Just don't give her the Fenton Anti-Creep Stick, that'll be a nightmare.
Anyway, they were taking his physical at the moment. When blood tests came up, he was... hesitant to say the least.
"It's just to see which vaccines we should give you. Some may not be necessary."
Of course they wouldn't be, he was half dead. His white blood cells were white, they were green. Why were they green? Because they were ectoplasm squashed into cells. How that worked? Well, they never questioned Frostbite and didn't have a doctor on their team to ramble about his weird physiology with.
But thinking about it... it shouldn't be too bad. There wasn't enough ectoplasm in his human body to animate the equipment. Yeah, it should be fine.
"Alright... just warning you, my white blood cells aren't white and are toxic."
"You have a quirk?" The doctor, Dr. Awase's eyes widened.
"Ah..." Well, every nurse and doctor so far had cores so far... Maybe... "What um, is a quirk? Sorry, it's just- I'm not really from here. Timewise."
"Oh! Yes, yes. sorry. A Quirk is a superpower like... like the comics. My quirk is called Moose. I have antlers like a moose and my strength is a bit higher than average. Don't be surprised if you see me holding someone down. I'm the one they call for those patients when sedation and such are needed."
The man then flinched. "N-not to say that happens often! I assure you that you're perfectly safe here!"
Danny chuckled and waved him off. "It's fine, I feel even safer with you as my doctor. Such a reputation, I'm lucky."
The doctor laughed sheepishly, the tip of his shoe rubbing into the floor. He was physically restraining himself from another action. A stomp? Or maybe little kicks?
.
.
.
And now there's a chimera sitting on his bedside, teacup in hand and another steaming on the small bed table thing.
"Hello, Dr. Fenton. I wasn't expecting to ever be able to meet you until the day I died. What a pleasant surprise this is!"
"A fan, I'm guess?" Danny smiled sheepishly.
Really, he seriously wasn't that big of a deal, right? The only astronauts praised were the ones who made it to the moon or did something that great. He could name them all. He has before, plenty of times to Jazz. But him? Sure, he made history with finding remnants of life on some far away planet and naming a special star that actually orbited that planet rather than vice versa. But c'mon.
"Yes, very much so. The discoveries you made as well as the inventions you've made for NASA were astonishing. In fact, some of those inventions are still around today and perfectly functional. Yes, many were improved for quality, but their lifespan is rumored to be infinite! Oh what I wouldn't give for you to be a teacher at my school."
Danny blinked owlishly. The chimera didn't say a word after that small tangent, now drinking his tea as it cooled down enough.
School? Teacher?
"What uh, what did you say your name was?"
"Ah, how rude of me. I'm Nezu, the principal of UA, a high school made to train students to become great heroes in whichever track they wish to go into, whether it be Limelight, Twilight, Underground, Rescue, Healer, Support, or Investigative. Though, most people recognize it more for Limelight, Rescue, and Support. The rest either don't have students qualified or are meant to be more discrete. Which is why the vague term heroics is used."
And that just brought up more questions. Heroes? He made it seem like an actual profession. Nothing self-sacrificial with absolutely no real gain. Satisfaction was it for Danny. His town was safe, that's all he wanted. But... if a school was teaching it, did they get paid for that?
Danny reached out and took the first sip of his tea. Earl Gray. Well, he could brush up on his tea knowledge now at least. Teacup would be happy to hear that (some random ghost oc). It was pretty good, though maybe a little something was left. What did Teacup usually add again?
Wait no- back on topic. Heroes. A school for them
Damn.
He wasn't sure if he should feel uncomfortable at the thought or jealous. I mean- imagine how much money he would've made! The games he could've bought.
Yeah, he wouldn't be a hero for good if that's how it started. He thought it was a game at first. That it would stop after a bit. But it didn't. It... It just got worse. It wasn't some utopian job. Not easy in the least. No really, anyway.
"I barely have an identity. Sure, it's only been the amount of time I crashed since I was last at work, but what would I teach? I don't think I'm the least bit caught up with stuff here and I'm pretty sure the Japanese dialect changed in the last 2 centuries. Many things would've."
He doesn't mention how he could easily go back. Not yet at least. He's curious. And well, he can't say that the thought of child soldiers wasn't concerning him.
"The identity part isn't difficult. With your historical reputation, it would be quite easy to get you documented. I'll, of course, help with costs. As for the position... well, we always need more hands. I'll simply interview you and have you fill out a survey. What do you think? Are you willing to take the job?"
Well. This was an interesting development.
Why the heck not?
"Sure. I'll take the job."
"Wonderful! I'll come back with a lawyer to get you officially documented. I'll see you soon!"
Nezu scrurried off before he could respond, leaving Danny with a mostly filled cup of tea and a kettle half filled with hot water.
"Yeah... Soon..."
At least he didn't have to worry about medical treatment costs?
I should learn how to credit people so I don't have to reblog when this goes for too long. But eh. There's always that caught off feature. Maybe I'll write more some other time. Should I make an actual fanfic? I'm not sure I have a motivation. I hope this was fun to read though ^v^
Astronaut Danny but in MHA??
This is a very quick idea, but one where Danny grows up to be an astronaut hiding from the government because of the anti-ecto Acts. NASA is very willing to hide his biology since he is the perfect choice for being an astronaut and there isn't a risk of him dying while on a mission.
During one of Danny's space missions, he accidentally gets knocked off course and flies through a natural portal to the realms and ends up crashing through another portal and crashed into an open area in a big city, which was very lucky.
Danny ends up passing out due to the crash and wakes up later in a hospital with an odd-looking human checking his vitals on a monitor.
This is when Danny learns that when he went through that portal, he ended up in an alternative timeline 200 years into the future where the excess ectoplasm caused humans to develop mini-cores that allowed for one power- or a "quirk" as the people of this universe called them.

DP x BNHA
Danny (born in bnha verse)+ vigilantism gone a little bit wrong
Danny doesn't think he'll ever regret anything more than he regrets getting involved in hero work today.
Or at all.
Danny was quirkless for most of his life.
He thought he would never get to be a pro-hero. Not that he hadn't tried. He signed up for UA's entrance exams just like the rest of his old classmates.
He didn't get in.
At least not in the hero course.
But then his parents finished their work on their portal, he made one fatal mistake in their lab and...
And he had quirks now. Plural. Way more than he'd ever wished for.
Just.. it just came a little late for the entrance exams. He could try transferring. And he will. He has a good shot when UA's sports festival comes around.
The only issue was practice.
The other kids he'll be competing against will have had a decade of experience with their quirk, and they have some of the best teachers and pros in the country helping them with their quirks now.
So he needs the same. Or at least he needs the closest he can get if he wants to stand a chance in the sports festival. So what better way was there to hone his quirks than by getting practical, lived experience?
He didn't see the harm in doing some minor vigilantism now and then. It wasn't like anyone ever recognized him as Phantom anyway.
His own parents didn't recognize him as Phantom.
He's been at this for months by now. He'd started just by helping the pros in subtle ways. Smaller things at first. An invisible shove to throw this villain off balance. Intangibly sliding a bag of loot out of that villain's hands. An ectoblast when he's sure no one's looking.
And sure, he's slipped up a little bit now and then. Gotten himself in and out of trouble with villains. Almost gotten himself in trouble with plenty of pros.
With Aizawa most of all.
But then, it seemed like Eraserhead's patrol route did come pretty close to the Fenton house.
Danny helped him the most at first.
But then Aizawa started to get this look in his eyes like he knew something about a villain takedown wasn't adding up right.
And then the pro saw him for the first time. Danny was counting his lucky stars he got away scott free.
Aizawa was hunting down a would-be car thief. Danny had turned a corner ahead of the crook, trying to cut him off, and ended up flat on his back after practically getting body slammed by the man. He'd lost his hold on invisibility.
But Danny had never raised the man's suspicions. At least not about vigilante work. He had plenty to say about Danny being out after curfew.
The first day back to class after that night had been nerve wracking anyway though.
But Danny was never accosted in the halls, or called to the principal's office. There were no cops showing up at his house. Nothing. He hadn't been recognized in his everyday, non-glowstick, "quirkless" form.
He'd been mostly successful at keeping quiet for the most part, at least.
And he was reasonably sure Eraserhead didn't know he existed outside of the few times he'd run into the guy in the halls of UA. The man didn't teach any of Danny's classes, personally.
He'd been briefly disappointed by that. Eraserhead was his favorite. There was just something about a quirk like Erasure that appealed to the scrawny, bullied, quirkless kid he used to be.
Mostly. He was mostly sure "Fenton" hadn't gotten the man's attention, or ire. The guy sometimes narrowed a very stern stare in his direction. It was like the man could smell trouble brewing.
Danny kind of thought he was just like that though.
So, Danny was cautious around him. But really, it's not like the guy's a mind reader.
And it's not like Phantom's efforts have made it into the news. He knows he's mentioned in a few blogs. But no one was calling for Phantom's head over illegal quirk usage. So he hadn't gotten any of the wrong kind of attention.
So he was safe.
Sure, it kind of stung his pride that no one knew about him. He did grow up feeling invisible because of his quirk status. So zero recognition didn't.. feel that great.
But it was better this way. He's in the clear this way.
Besides.
If he never got caught, then "no harm no foul," right?
Wrong.
And here he thought UA's resident hobo teacher would end up being his downfall.
Oh so wrong.
Danny may have gotten the timing wrong when he tried to overshadow one of the villains facing off against Kamui Woods.
One sharp crack of a branch to his (the villain's?) chest and in the few minutes it took for him to stir from where he'd been thrown, he'd been cuffed.
And now he's stuck... possessing a villain, being led to a cop car with a shiny pair of quirk cuffs slapped on his wrists.
He.. honestly isn't sure how he's going to get out of this one. For a kid who'd only ever been in trouble for tardiness, this is a pretty impressive leap.
----
Aizawa wasn't sure what it was about the Fenton kid that just spelled trouble.
The kid was young. General education. He'd made an attempt at getting into the hero course. But he hadn't been successful. But then, his quirk was new and poorly controlled in the first several weeks of the school year. Based on the odd complaint from his coworkers, Fenton had a tendency to be a little disruptive in his classes at times. Near constant accidental quirk usage that had Yamada joking about putting him in Shouta's class, hero material or not. But all that had died down decently fast.
Aizawa wasn't sure if he was a true late bloomer, or if a quirk he always had just had specific activation requirements that went undiscovered till now.
He really didn't know a whole lot about the Fenton kid. He just knew he was troublesome.
Aizawa prided himself on being able to read people well. And Fenton? He was suspicious. Maybe it was just nerves. He knew he had a way of putting the first years on edge. Fenton definitely fit the bill for that. He would get jittery and avoid eye contact like he was allergic to it anytime he ran across Shouta. And Aizawa would leave it at that if weren't for the sheer panicked guilt that worked it's way across the brat's face whenever he saw Shouta.
But at least the kid wasn't in Aizawa's class. Small mercies. Whatever trouble Fenton was getting himself into could be another teacher's problem for once.
Aizawa's problem, though, was a very different kid. Aizawa had seen him across several nights while he's on patrol. And he would have dragged the kid back to his parents, if the kid weren't so slippery. So Aizawa's taken to keeping an eye out for him.
He can't imagine there's a good reason for a teenager to sneak out so late, so often, in the rough areas of town that Aizawa patrols. He's hesitantly considering gang violence. He's worked underground long enough to be wary.
That kid, is probably in a little more trouble than the usual high school mischief he suspects Fenton for.
At the very least, Aizawa left his description with Detective Tsukauchi. Just in case.
----
Kind of following the same idea behind that invisible vigilante au I was playing around with.
Danny and Izuku definitely end up forming some kind of Late Bloomers support group, for quirkless kids who lucked into powers outside of the usual way

Teacher Danny is the real teacher of hero basic training, all might is just the teachers assistant, and he is absolutely livid when all might skipped weeks ahead of the syllabus while he was away on a mission.
Danny: im sorry, which one of us has a teaching license?... Thats what i thought.
Since All Might didn't have his teaching license yet, he was reduced to a teaching assistant. Not that it mattered to him either way, not when none of the students would know. The only ones who were aware of this was the staff-more specifically pro hero Phantom who taught foundational heroics. And since All Might had forty years of experience-at least twenty to thirty more than Phantom had-it only made sense that foundational heroics was where he was placed.
This worked out well, though. At the beginning of the school year, Danny was nowhere to be found. According to Nezu, he was caught up in a sensitive mission overseas, and wouldn't be back for another day or two. So the first lesson would be under All Might's care.
And he's really beating himself up now.
Danny had wanted to go over the syllabus before his mission, and All Might had more or less blown him off, and they didn't get the chance to reschedule before Danny left. It's fine, though. What kind of hero would he be if he couldn't improvise?
Battle trials were something they did often enough at All Might's time in UA. Surely they would be fine. And what a way to start the year, too! They could have another one in a few months to check their improvement. Yes, that would work. Perhaps he could speak to Danny about it.
-----
So, the battle trials hadn't gone quite as planned. Everybody did fine, and they were pretty tame, bar the fight between Midoriya and Bakugou. Midoriya was the only one with any serious injury, so All Might counted that as a win. He knew his successor was smart and driven, and would in no time find a way to control his newfound power. And who knows? Maybe Bakugou might mellow out a bit.
----------
"Hey, All Might," Danny greeted as he walked into the teacher's lounge. He looked tired, like he hadn't gotten enough sleep last night.
"What time did you fly in?" Aizawa asks him as he hands the tired hero a mug of coffee. It was still steaming, but Danny didn't seem to care as he downed it like a shot and had Aizawa get him a refill.
"Few hours ago. All the planes were delayed because of the attack, so I just. Flew here. I'll probably catch a nap during lunch or something."
"You flew all the way here from America by yourself?" All Might asked, impressed. Danny just shrugged.
"I was excited. I wanted to see how the kids all did yesterday. I've been waiting to gauge their martial arts abilities since the entrance exam. I have high hopes for Ojiro, though with the skill he's shown he might just put me out of a job," he chuckled as he took another cup of coffee from Aizawa. He took a gentle sip this time before turning to All Might. "How did they do?"
"Midoriya got pretty beat up," Aizawa answered for All Might, essentially throwing him under the bus. "Had to go to Recovery Girl."
"There's no reason he should have been that beat up," Danny said, frowning into his mug. "Not if they were just doing some quirkless sparring."
He looked over at All Might, who's heart was stuttering nervously. He couldn't keep a secret to save his life, bar the one about his quirk. Plus, there was video footage of all of the fights that he had wanted to go over later. There was no way he'd be able to keep it from Danny. But he was their colleague, and a pro with thrice the experience as Danny. This shouldn't be too bad, just a minor misunderstanding.
"Well," he said, hating how nervous his voice sounded. "We didn't do quirkless sparring."
Danny's brows furrowed in confusion as he stood up a bit straighter. With his tired features and the fact he's clearly at the end of his rope in terms of patience, he looked twice as scary as his usual self. It also didn't help that he was a brick shithouse in both of his forms, unlike All Might.
"What did they do yesterday?" Danny asked. He didn't sound super threatening yet. But he knew that he was going to, here in just a second when All Might gave him his answer.
"We did battle trials."
Danny closed his eyes and took in a deep breath to calm himself as his rage spiked. He heard the faint sound of ceramic being compressed, and Aizawa quickly took the mug out of his hand before he could shatter it with nothing but his grip. His hands opened and closed, and All Might watched as he bobbed his head up and down ten times, likely counting backwards, before opening his eyes again. Instead of the calming blue he had been looking at, he was met with a terrifying green that sent shivers down his spine.
"All Might," Danny said through his teeth. "Why did you not follow the syllabus?"
"Well, we never got a chance to talk about it-"
"-I emailed it to you," Danny hissed, stepping forward. "You didn't bother to look? And you-re just-you're perfectly okay with sending a bunch of untrained teenagers without proper control of their powers to beat the shit out of each other?"
Danny's voice was rising with every word, right along with his temper. All might audibly gulped, hyper aware that the remaining teachers, save for Aizawa, were quickly leaving to avoid his wrath. And he's pretty sure Aizawa was there to prevent Danny from genuinely committing homicide.
"Not only that, but if there was a student who got hurt enough to go to Recovery Girl then that means the fight should have stopped way sooner than it had. That kind of injury takes buildup. Which means you more than likely had plenty of opportunity to stop it.
"How dare you endanger the lives of these fucking kids, All Might. And for what? Because you've suddenly become illiterate? Computers are as old as you are, I thought you would know how to function with one."
"Now, listen, Danny-"
"-No, All Might, you listen," Danny was absolutely seething now. The air around them was much more cold than it had been a minute ago, and there was a subtle layer of frost starting to build up on Danny's clothes-a sure sign that he was seeing red right now. "You do not get to dictate what happens in my classes. You do not walk into that classroom unsupervised. You do not get to call the shots. I don't care how many decades you've been the number one hero. That doesn't mean anything at a school when you don't have a fucking teaching license. And if I'm gone, someone else will take over. And the syllabus. Will. Be. Followed. Do I make myself clear?"
All Might opened his mouth to say something, but at the glare Danny sent him, he quickly snapped his mouth shut, and nodded. Danny leaned back, and seemed much more calm than he had a second ago. Still very visibly pissed off, but easier to manage. He leveled All Might with another glare.
"I will be talking to Nezu about this."
Then he took his mug from Aizawa, and walked out the door. Aizawa shot a tired glare his way.
"Just so you know, if he hadn't ripped you a new one I would have. And I don't have the same restraint he does. So count your lucky stars, All Might."
And he walked away too.
Maybe...Maybe he was a bit over his head with this teaching thing after all.

The teaching Assistant Danny was from a prompt (starts with "Time Travel and Teacher for Danny in BNHA") and he ends up helping All Might (who is the only one less ready to teach than Danny)
Thank you! With this, I managed to find it.
OK! So, I now have a better answer to this question:
*slams down hand* LOOK, A DISTRACTION! Tell me more about assistant UA teacher assistant Danny! Is he at the USJ and if yes, how does it go? Does he call AFO a fruitloop at any point? Does he ever get an Oh-no-I'm-turning-into-Lancer moment?
Since he's an assistant to All Might, the major USJ change is that he and All Might, are, well, there. Danny kept All Might from throwing himself into too many fights on the way to school, because he's serious about this teaching thing, darn it.
With both All Might and Aizawa there, Danny would probably be more willing to stay back and take a defensive role protecting the kids and using duplicates to warn Nedzu and the rest of the staff.
As a member of staff, Danny'd know about All Might's wound, and I feel like All Might and Aizawa would have actually made a decent team if they'd ever fought together, so the actual fight there would be much different. All Might and the nomu would engage each other right away, and they'd try to do that portal snap trick. Probably the villains wouldn't pay as much attention to the kids...
If I ever wrote about this, I'd need to put more thought into it!
But for this Danny the first 'Lancer' moment, is the first time he scolds All Might for carelessly being late (the irony).

Is this from a fic,, or ? Just amazing thing that you had to make bc reasons?
Anyway a scenario painted itself in my head because of this, so like. Here ya go.
---------------------
DP doesn't really give a timeline so I'm gonna say everything happened in his first year of HS, making him just 15 when Phantom Planet would have happened.
In this AU there is no Phantom Planet (as one does) but there is ghost puberty (as many do) and Danny starts having a crisis about his appearance on top of increasing issues from the year of constant property damage to Amity (bills add up, repairs create issues, him chasing out the ghosts doesn't mean there are no problems, no consequences).
Danny tries his best but he's a high schooler - sometimes he forgets he even has certain powers.
The Realms are Infinite, connected to every living dimension there is. Clockwork can see the stress getting to him, stress steadily reaching a snapping point (not another Dan scenario, but the Crown Prince of the Realms becoming a depressed recluse and refusing his crown/violently pushing everyone he loves away is also a bad outcome - and it makes Clockwork sad, he got attached).
So Clockwork sends him to the bnha-verse.
What better way to teach him to accept himself than to send him to the world with so much aesthetic diversity. Let him meet the fanged, red-eyed, moody heroes and the bubbly golden villains, let him see all the diverse appearances and realize that it is their choices that dictate their actions, that there is no such thing as 'evil puberty.'
Being around humans with more diverse appearances and abilities will do him good.
And what better way to learn how to fight and rescue more efficiently than from the people who have perfected it to a curriculum.
"Three years," he says when Danny once more appears to him, seeking advice.
"A school that will better teach you to use your powers, to minimize property damage, to work more efficiently," he offers.
"You will be sent back to the exact same time in your own dimension, to continue on as if you never left. Your town and world will remain safe, because you will never truly be away from it," he promises.
And Danny - who is spiraling over his growing fangs, his elongating ears, his hair that seems just a touch less material with each passing day, his steadily paling [blue, blue, it's turning blue] skin - accepts with all the fervor of a dying man lunging at an oasis in the desert.
He hesitantly drops his phone and wallet, leaving him with nothing but his clothing - still slightly scuffed from the latest fight with Skulker - and steps through one of Clockwork's mirrors into an alley.
He waits, just as Clockwork asked him to.
He doesn't know what he's waiting for, but he does all the same.
A black cat curls up next to him as he sits by a dumpster until Aizawa Shouta drops from a nearby roof and ends up taking him in.
A few weeks later, Danny takes the entrance exam for UA High School and is placed in class 1-A (ghost speak is like all speak, he just had to learn the alphabet. Guess who he replaced? Yeah ur right it was Mineta)
So anyway, skipping a lot of timeline to get the scene this fic inspired:
edit: Forgot to say, this is set between hosu & final exams
another training exercise 'heroes vs villains' style.
The teams are 'villains' Danny & Yaoyorozu vs 'heroes' Deku & Iida.
(it's really just team fights in an urban setting but making it themed motivates the teams shhhhh)
The hero team has to catch both villains in 10 minutes or it's an automatic loss, but the villains have to 'kill' at least one hero and play keep away, or kill both heroes to win.
Danny already made the 'rip your lungs out' joke before, so Yaoyorozu (who can probably make very realistic looking fake organs even if she can't make actual organs) made a plan based on that...which really freaks out Deku & Iida.
***
Izuku is excited for the fight, if a little nervous.
Danny's quirk, Archetypical Ghost, is one of the most diverse he's seen - up there with Yaoyorozu's and Fukidashi-san's.
His main downfall is his own underutilization of his abilities; sometimes he just forgets what he can do. He also tends to get distracted in fights - looks away from enemies too easily, falls for fake-faints, has trouble moderating his strength and often underestimates how much it takes to take someone down.
But he's improved since the beginning of the year, and with Yaomomo's own diverse skillset and tactical mind this was bound to be a tough battle.
Worst of all was the aniticipation; Danny- Phantom's invisibility and intangibility were incredible for sneak attacks. Beyond even Hagakure's ability to sneak - unless he made noise he could go completely undetected.
He and Iida go in with both ears peeled.
They hear the scream not 30 seconds in.
It's high and blood-curdling and so clearly Yaoyorozu. She's screaming like she's dying.
They bolt towards the sound as soon as it begins, wary of a trap but too concerned for their classmate to not go anyway.
Then, as abruptly as the sound began, it cuts to silence.
It chills Izuku to the core, right alongside the increasing cold of the air as they approach where the noise came from.
It turns out Danny and Yaoyorozu were only a few streets down, and he and Iida arrive just in time to see Yaoyorozu drop to her side, making a small gurgling noise as she paws at her red-stained chest with red-stained hands.
Danny leans down, grin stretched wide as he places a small red object down right in front of her face.
It squelches with the movement, more blood oozing out.
It's blood.
Izuku's mind goes back to the lesson two weeks prior.
--------Flashback---------
Kaminari whistled as Danny came back from his match with Koda.
"You weren't kidding about animals not liking you."
"Nope, walking bear-spray commercial, that's me," Danny jokes, finger-gunning as he floats closer to chat while they wait for Koda's return to discuss the match.
"Still! I thought you meant, like, cats don't want to cuddle because your cold or something! Those birds literally fled en masse! You're like, one of the chillest guys I've met, I don't get why they'd hate you."
"They don't hate me," Danny shrugs, "They just register me as a threat and react accordingly."
"Pffft, strong I can get, but threatening?"
Then Danny stuck his hand into Kaminari's chest, grinning wide and floating up to loom, eyes brightening.
"I could literally rip out your still-beating heart whenever I feel like it."
Then his hand flopped out harmlessly.
"Anyway, that was a great match! I never expected Koda to be such a dirty fighter in close combat; He really caught me off-guard with the pocket sand thing!" Danny chattered away as if nothing had happened, steamrolling Kaminari's nervous laughter and the general unease.
After a while, the mood was back to normal (if not with a few people wondering if Mirio could rip their hearts out...)
--------End Flashback---------
Danny briefly puts his right hand out of phase, letting more red, red blood splatter onto the pavement and the object, leaving his white glove just as pristine as it had been back in the observation room.
All the while, Yaoyorozu clutches at the object - 'Her heart, that's her heart oh kami-' - and shoves it towards her chest, eyes watering and mouth moving soundlessly. More red trails out from between her lips.
Izuku is moving before he can think.
He lunges at Phantom fist-first, screaming in rage. Praying to anyone that will listen that Iida can help her, the teachers, Recovery Girl, anyone-
The fist passes right through Phantom's head, and Izuku is ectoblasted across the street, through a building, and into a second one for his trouble.
He can hear Iida requesting the teachers end the fight over comms as he gets back up.
Phantom laughs loud enough to hear through the comms and the distance, and Iida cuts off mid-explanation.
Izuku makes it out of the rubble and onto the street just in time to be tackled back through the second building by Iida.
By an Iida with green, green eyes.
"Too slow!"
He aims to stomp Izuku's head in, but he's clumsy - unused to Iida's larger frame, maybe? He'd only used this power once before, after all - and Izuku is able to roll away and kick him into the wall.
He winces at the pained blue eyes that flash briefly.
The teachers have to have seen Yaoyorozu, or heard Iida, or- or they'll be on the way anyway because the cameras went down and they know something is wrong.
He has to trust them to help Yaoyorozu, he can't fight Phantom- fight Danny and save her.
He can't even move her safely in that condition.
He has to trust the others to help her while he plays keep-away.
While he...fights Danny.
Seriously.
"What do you think you're doing!?" Izuku yells, voice thick. "WHY!?"
"Why?" he tilts Iida's head owlishly. Smiles. "To test my ability."
"To- what does that even mean!"
"Haven't you noticed how far ahead we are? In terms of strength, of skill...isn't all a little too easy? Don't you want a challenge? I do. Everyone here is so...weak," Danny spits in distaste with Iida's mouth.
"These little sanctioned spars...people fight harder when their lives are really on the line. Maybe no one else can keep up with me, but you..." Iida's eyes rake over him. "If you gave it your all, you might be more than just 'entertaining.'"
Izuku lunges on his last word - unable to listen any longer - aiming to sweep Iida's legs out from under him.
'If I can just pin him, maybe he'll leave Iida alone...I don't have enough information. Dammit! What do I do!?'
Dan-ida jumps his sweep and twists into a kick aimed for his head as he does.
Izuku drops to the ground to dodge it and manages an upper-cut kick to his chin before he rolls back and away to get on his feet once more.
"Get out of Iida!"
"If you want to force me out you'll have to put this body to sleep. Do you really have it in you? To attack your own ally? Your friend?"
"Like you did!?" Izuku yells, moving for another lunge, this time a tackle.
Danny bounces off of the wall, using Iida's quirk to mimic Izuku's own moves and dodge. They end up trading places.
"Aren't you tired of being nice?" Danny asks as he lands and turns back to lock eyes with him, holding out a hand - palm facing the ceiling; in offering instead of as a threat. "Don't you just want to go apeshit?"
Before he can even think of how to respond to that, Danny uses a reciproburst.
He barely manages to get out of the way in time.
"OOooh that was fun!" He claps Iida's hands together as he comes to a stop. "More fun than norma-GKH-"
Danny's distraction costs him, as his little run stops not far from Izuku, who manages to close the distance get in a heavy strike right to the chin while Danny is busy celebrating using his own classmate like a toy.
Iida drops to the ground like a sack of bricks.
Izuku wants to pick him up and run, hoping Danny will follow and stay far away from where Yaoyorozu is no doubt receiving treatment.
'Please, please let them get here in time. Please be okay, Yaoyorozu-san.'
But Danny practically melts out of him and lands with a foot on his back.
He grabs Izuku by the elbows before he can react - forcing his hands to aim towards Iida - pulling him in close.
"Come on then, hero," he all but purrs, eyes glowing so bright they nearly look yellow and mouth curling into an unnaturally wide grin, "Challenge Me."
Before Izuku can do anything beyond glare him down, he feels a prick in the back of his neck and his world goes dark.
---------------------
Izuku wakes up in the infirmary to the sound of Yaoyorozu...
"Yaoyorozu!" He bolts up right, head spinning as he whips it around to find Yaoyorozu sitting calmly between his bed and Iidas, chest and hands still slightly red but appearing unwounded.
Iida's head is cradled in his hands.
"Easy, easy," she turns to Izuku. "I'm okay, I'm not injured, I promise."
"You- you were-"
"Here," Recovery Girl interrupts, appearing at his side with a pill and a glass of water. "Take this and drink up."
What follows is a relief, but also kind of stings.
Apparently, Yaoyorozu wanted to test her aim with some new tranq darts she'd been studying to create.
And apparently they also wanted to try out some new ideas from Midnight-sensei's workshop on the benefits of acting in the field - for villain combat and civilian calming proposes.
Which had led to them faking her own murder, separating him from Iida, using Iida as a puppet - he was originally just going to be taken out but Danny thought that would alert Izuku that something was up, since the teachers would never announce him out if Yaoyorozu was actually dead or dying - and then distracting him long enough in a relatively small area for her to line up her shot.
"Aizawa sensei thought it best that I be here when you both woke up...and that Danny wait outside until I was able to explain things to the both of you."
The reason for that went without saying.
"But we're both deeply sorry," she bowed from her chair, "We took things too far, making you both believe I was truly...grievously injured. We were too caught up in trying out new techniques and we didn't think about how seriously it might affect you. We hope you can forgive us."
Danny appeared from thin air, standing and bowing next to her just in time to echo the apology.
"I cannot say that I'm happy with the situation, but I understand the desire to broaden your heroic horizons, even if I do find the methodology of it a bit distasteful," Iida chops. "U.A. is a place for learning, it is only sensible that you try such things here. I am... hurt, but I understand. I forgive you."
"Ah," Izuku says, eyes filling with tears, "I-I'm so glad you're both okay-"
His voice cracks on the last word, tears spilling over as Yaoyorozu winces and Danny looks like a deer in headlights.
***
anyway.
I don't feel like this does the picture justice, because it is b-e-a-u-tiful, but I had to get it on paper [digital] to get it out of my brain. Anyway, enjoy!
Villain Danny? Or just Danny getting too into the role in class? The world may never know because neither do I
I think Danny would be terrifying as a villain tho, he would be unstoppable and everyone should be thanking god that that he isn’t one. When I have some more spare time I’m going to need to do an actual piece of art

Just Like Me
To read at my Ao3 CLICK HERE This is the first chapter. sorry is its a little rough. :sweatdrop:
Almost forgot! Tw: i will be going heavy on quirkless discrimination and mental health issues. Theres not much in the first chapter but i do want to touch on it at some point.
School was never something he looked forward to. After all, what was there to look forward to? He was used to getting bullied, made fun of for being different, called names, shoved around. The irony wasn’t lost on him. Many years ago, maybe he would have been the normal one?
Then again, what even was normal?
It used to be normal to go to school- learn history, math, science and whatever language the school taught.
It used to be normal to not have any powers, after all - superheroes were a dream. Stories people made up to tell themselves. Heroes existed, yes, but they never had powers. Heroes were just people, average people.
Again, there's another word that's changed. Average.
Normal. Average.
Two hundred years ago, it was normal for the average person to look human.
Two hundred years ago, it was normal for the average person to have no powers.
Two hundred years ago, it was normal for superheroes to only be a thing of stories.
That was two hundred years ago. Not now.
Now it's weird to not have powers.
Now you get bullied for being regular. Quirkless.
One of 20%.
Mathematically, he thought it was stupid that so many people get treated so differently. He did remember Mr. Lancer telling him of people getting treated for less. Mr. Lancer told him two hundred years ago, 10% of the population was seen as satanic because of what hand they used to write with. A similar estimated percent was discriminated against because of who they loved, or what they identified as.
“Sadly, Mr. Fenton, the human race has a history of not tolerating those who they see as a minority.”
“I remember that from history Mr. Lancer.” Danny sighed, leaning his head on his hand. His eyes stared out the window, looking at the stormy weather. “I remember you talking about how things used to be.”
The teacher pursed his lips, staying quiet and looking at him with concern.
Lancer had asked Danny to stay after class to speak to him. He never did like how Daniel’s peers would gang up on him after school ended. The best he could usually do was this. Casper’s principal was... far too likely to be accepting of anything the more wealthy students’ parents had to say.
“Is that why you’ve been spacing out all day then, Danny?”
It was asked gently. Danny’s eyes glanced over to the balding teacher before darting back to the window. He hummed for a moment. “...Kinda. I got a lot on my mind.”
“Penny for your thoughts then?” Lancer pulled his chair next to his desk.
It was quiet for a few minutes, the sound of rain gently pattering against the classroom windows filled the room while Danny collected his thoughts. Blue eyes watched raindrops roll down the glass.
“I don’t get it, Mr. Lancer.” His voice was quiet as the floodgates opened. “Everyone in my family has quirks. Dad is strong. My mom can copy anyone’s fighting styles just by watching. Jazz can look at someone and-.... well you know.” He sank down into his chair. “Aunty A, even has a quirk. I've never seen her miss a shot. And then there's me. Daniel James Fenton. The first quirkless person in our family in a long time. Don’t get me wrong either, it doesn’t bother me too much.” Liar. “It’s just... it feels like the cherry on top of everything else.
“My parents got an invitation to teach some classes at UA in Japan. In Japan, I've never lived anywhere but here. Amity Park. It’s not like they can leave me here. PLUS, Jazz has always wanted to go there for the General studies.”
“I understand your concern, Danny. But I’ve seen your work,” There was slight amusement in Mr. Lancers voice. “Aren’t you good at building things? I know I’ve caught you tinkering with something more than once in class.”
Danny’s face flushed red. “...My parent’s usually make those. They’re old models of support gear they have made. I was seeing if I could get a glitch out.”
“And?”
“...I keep shocking myself.” He mumbled. “It hurts like hell.”
“While I can’t say I’m happy that you are getting injured. As long as you are safe, I'm glad.” Mr. Lancer offered a smile to the teen. “As for the other predicament, you are always open to contact me if you need me after you move.”
“Thank you Mr. Lancer.”
~~~~~~~
Danny was thankful that they moved over the summer and not in the middle of the year. School was already hectic enough as was. Moving in the middle of the year was not something he ever wanted to do, let alone moving across the globe in the middle of the year.
He kept to himself for the first few weeks. He liked to walk around, exploring the new area. It felt different than Amity park. More crowded. He noted early on there was definitely more hero around too. It didn’t bother him too much.
That's a lie.
More heroes means more villains.
He didn’t like villains.
He also didn’t like being a hostage.
Lucky him!
He was held hostage by a villain not even before the end of the second week. Not that this was a first time experience for him, having been a favorite target back in Amity Park. He knew all the heroes back home personally because of it. People just loved to take quirkless people hostage. One would think, with the target that seems to hang over his head, that Daniel James Fenton wouldn’t take such risks as walking around alone at night. One would think that if he did, it would be out of necessity, and he would at least have something on him to defend himself.
...yeah no that's not the case. Why in the world would that be the case?
Danny was shoved onto the ground, air leaving his lungs as he hit. He gasped for air, trying to look at who was targeting him now. He couldn’t really tell much about the person, ratty clothes and a hoodie pulled up to cover their face. Nothing could be seen under the hood, it was just shadow, pure, black shadow.
“What’s a runt like you doing out right now?” The villain crouched next to Danny. Chuckling when he tried to scoot away. They put a foot on one of Danny’s wrists, “Ah-ah. Now that’s rude. I’m talking to you punk.”
Danny didn’t respond, wincing at the pressure on his arm.
“It’s rather rude to ignore your elders.” The villain put more pressure, adjusting so they were crouched like a vulture next to prey.
“F-fuck you. I’ve seen worse.” He growled
The regret in saying that was nearly instant. In the blink of an eye, the ground next to his head - that was solid concrete what the hell- was shattered. The villain was making an inhuman noise, a low gutteral sound coming from them. “You haven’t seen my worst. I wasn’t gonna do much to ya, but I’m starting to change my mind kid.”
He knew he should do anything else - he was already on a thin line - but fuck it. He had a free hand anyways. He grabbed something from his pocket and slammed it against the villain. “As I said before. Fuck. You.” He pressed the button on the side.
The machine sparked to life. Quite literally. Danny still didn’t know what it was supposed to do, but he could make it shock things. Like a weird taser. Unlucky for Danny he was literally pinned to the ground beneath the villain getting tased. And as everyone knows. Humans are conductive. Very conductive.
Strangely the villain didn't even flinch. The growl getting louder as they grabbed the device from their shoulder and crushed it with their hand. Danny started shaking. Okay so that was a horrible idea.
The shadows of the alley gathered around the villain. Climbing up their clothing and slowly slithering along their arm. They held Danny down, forming chains around him. In the villain’s hand, a knife, absorbing all light, The villian made the move to attack, and Danny closed his eyes, waiting for the pain to come.
It never did.
It lessened.
Weight lifted from him, a weight he hadn’t realized was there besides his arm. Tentatively he opened his eyes.
The villain was on the ground a few meters away from him, knocked out and tied up to a fire exit- similar to how Batman would leave criminals for the cops. Danny blinked. He hadn’t heard anything. So what in the world happened? And how could that have happened so fast?
Standing up, he looked around for a sign of anyone being there to help him.
Oddly enough. It seemed no one had caused the villain to go down, at least not that Danny could see. Blue eyes scanned the area for a moment, looking for anything that wasn’t there before. Nothing popped out. Nothing was out of place. It looked like no one had been there.
He let out a breath he didn’t realize he had been holding. The air condensed, forming mist as it left his mouth and floated away. It was like when he first stepped outside in the winter. Which was strange- it was the middle of summer. A small frown formed on his face. The nights here weren’t that cold normally.
He brushed it off, ignoring the goosebumps running along his skin as the air chilled. Perhaps whoever knocked the villain out had a rather cold quirk, he mused to himself. Heroes normally make themselves known at this point, checking to see if he was okay.
He had an inkling it wasn’t a hero. At least not a licensed one. Not that he minded. He didn’t care who it was really. They saved his life… he was grateful for that.
Danny looked up to the clear sky, moonlight peaking over the buildings enough to illuminate the alley where the street lights glowed. He smiled up to the stars. “Thank you.” He said softly. “I wasn’t paying attention tonight.”
He left the alley, starting his way back home. He never caught sight of the figure watching him.
As I've said before, I have a lot of aus! My friend @deuynndoodles said I should make a masterlist of all of them. So I did! I was so tempted to keep writing stuff about them because I'm horrible at writing short summaries while also getting thr basis of the story across so it was a bit of a challenge cause when I start it's hard to stop me.
Anywhoooo heres a list of all my aus at the moment! There are minor ones I have and ones I've tossed out or forgotten but these are the ones I like so I hope you like them! (And if you have any questions at all please feel free to ask! I love talking about my aus!)
MY HERO ACADEMIA:
Ratiocination (Indigo Jets)- Vigilante Izuku, he has a quirk called pause that allows him to stop time but he cannot move and the longer he stays paused the more of his memories get erased. He's childhood friends with Bakugou and Shinsou who both worry when he disappears from their lives. His vigilante name is Indigo Jets.
_____
Emerald Eyes (Manx)- Short Izuku with cat eye syndrome, he has a quirk that allows him to make bubble-like force fields similar to Steven universe. He's found by the Wild Wild Pussycats and they train him and later on becomes a part of the team. His hero name is Manx.
_____
House of Glass (Rose/Grim/Grimrose)- Izuku is raised by the League of Villains and they're his big happy family. He has a quirk that allows him to erase and manipulate people's memories as well as a telekinetic quirk given to him by All For One. He's sent to UA as a spy but he ends up making friends and enjoying himself. He has the hero name Rose and the villain name Grim.
_____
My Angel (Starlight)- Izuku has a quirk that gives him the powers of an Angel. He has wings and a halo and he's also an empath with healing abilities. He also has the power to visit the dead, his mom, and it's difficult not to fall in love with him when people meet him. His hero name is Starlight.
_____
Out Of Reach (Tapeti)- Izuku Midoriya is taken by the league after making a deal with Shigaraki on the roof where All Might leaves him. They turn him halfway into a nomu, experimenting with quirkless candidates. Meanwhile, Bakugou is trying to find his friend through his years at UA, only to find out Izuku doesn't remember him, having been brainwashed and taking up the villain name Tapeti.
_____
Green Thumb Garden- Izuku was sold to villains as a child because Inko couldn't afford to take care of him. He escapes a few years later and is shrugged off by a hero. He's taken in by a family who runs a garden shop and as they get older, he begins to run it. He believes he is quirkless but later on finds out he has a quirk that allows him to speed up the growth and healing of organisms like an enhanced fertilizer would.
_____
Cerulean Flames (Deku)- Izuku gets lost in the crowd during a villain attack and can't find his mother. Instead, he finds a runaway Touya Todoroki who leads him back to safety. Izuku visits him almost every day and Dabi teaches him how to fight, play dirty and is there like an older brother for Izuku. When getting one for all, he also participates in helping Izuku train with All Might.
_____
Glass Wings (Sterling)- Izuku is taken in by the Shie Hassaikai when he runs away from home. Over the years he learns that they're not all they seem, trying to unravel it from the inside out with his sister Eri and friend Rappa. They're about to run for it during the raid but are caught by heroes. Izuku, being so close to Eri and not having any recorded crimes, is put in a villain rehabilitation program at UA. His old villain name is Sterling, turned codename.
_____
All For You (Deku)- Older Izuku, he went to school with Aizawa, Nemuri, Yamada, Oboro and Tensei, he being the closest with Tensei. In an accident with Oboro, Izuku is blinded in his right eye. Both are injured but survive. They all grow up to be heroes, Izuku also acting as an older brother figure to Bakugou. Izuku is also a teacher at UA in the heroics department, he teaches the students how to be safe and reduce damage to their surroundings and self.
_____
Ignite (Phoenix)- Vigilante Izuku, he loves to sing and perform at the hotel and karaoke bar his family owns. The hotel is open to heroes, villains, vigilantes, civilians, the poor, discriminated against and everyone in between. His father was in an accident when he was young which paralyzed him from the waist down because a hero failed to save him.
Izuku becomes a vigilante to look for people to come to the hotel. People who need the safety and those who have no place to stay. He has a quirk that allows him to manipulate fire. He doesn't need to look for people to pay because so many patrons already donate. Later on, Phoenix stops being a vigilante and becomes a full time singer. His name is Phoenix.
_____
Circus Caliber (Ringleader)- Inspired by The Greatest Showman, it takes place when quirks are only beginning to appear. People believe them to be freaks and shun them from society. Izuku is quirkless but admires quirks and looks for people to join his quirked circus (everyone in 1a and thensome). He wants to show the world that quirks aren't bad or destructive. That they can be good if given the chance.
_____
Panacea Paradox- Post quirk era, Izuku is a scientist who is fascinated with quirks. He tries to bring them back through experimentation and tests the completed formula on volunteers (1a). The experiment goes wrong, they have quirks yes, but they're all painful and grotesque. (An example would be Bakugou's explosions burn his hands horribly, mutation quirks have dead limbs, much bleeding and injuries, etc).
Izuku panics and drinks the last of the liquid, he gains a quirk that allows him to temporarily remove other's pain by inflicting it on himself. He desperately tries to find a cure but people die in the time he isn't able to. He means well but he makes many mistakes. (It's a rather dark au)
_____
Fractured But Not Yet Broken (The Free Hero:Arrow)- Izuku has an incredibly self destructive quirk, it's called Fracture. It allows him to impact incredible telekinetic force to the point of breakage but in turn harms him immensely, broken bones, internal bleeding, lots of pain. The quirk gives him a slightly higher pain tolerance as well.
Inko is immensely overprotective, sheltering him entirely from the outside world besides internet access. He goes to UA secretly while she's at work and becomes very close with his friends and the UA staff, Nezu especially. They take away inkos custody later on and he gets to live in the dorms. His hero name is Arrow.
_____
Send A Sign (Beetlejuice)- Izuku dies hundreds of years ago (he's the same age as All For One) by being struck by lightning. He wakes up in the current day with no memories of his past. He can only remember the word "Beetlejuice" as it was the musical he and his mother were going to see before he died. He wanders around and begins following a 4 year old Bakugou and it stays that way. Izuku's like his guardian.
One day Bakugou says "Beetlejuice" 3 times while listening to the song and Izuku is now visible to him (part of quirk). Izuku is his friend, teaching Bakugou lessons and acting like a big brother. Izuku goes to UA with Bakugou and after the blass says his name, they all see him and he spends time with them, trying to regain his memories and joining them through the ride of becoming heroes. (I'll explain all of his powers some other time, it's a long list)
_____
DANNY PHANTOM:
The Spectral Hero: Danny Phantom (Danny/Phantom)- Danny has a quirk that allows him to breathe and survive in space with no equipment but he doesn't know that since he's never been. The Fentons move to Japan from Amity. He's shocked by the portal and gains his normal ghostly abilities, telling people that is his quirk and not the result of a freak accident (he tells Aizawa later because he can't erase Danny's ghostliness). He has the persona of vigilante Phantom as well as Danny, the UA student. Aizawa knows it's him and they have a playful relationship, him acting as Danny's mentor. He later reveals to his class he is Phantom when moving into the dorms.
_____
Pink Slip- Danny is more affected by the portal accident, as Fenton it makes him weaker and more vulnerable but it feeds into his ghost half with more power. He misses school for a month after the accident and doctors take the ectoplasm in his blood as some disease. They give his school a pass so he can visit the nurse at any time. Since he has an excuse, he often leaves class with full permission of the teachers cause they think he's just going to the nurse's office. People don't question why he always looks tired and has bruises on his body, just thinking he's weaker due to the accident.
_____
Broken Watch- Danny is an ex a-list student who leaves when they start bullying kids. He takes a larger hit from the portal, giving him an electric core and powers that are more difficult to control but pack more of a punch. He gets taught about the ghost zone and other things by Clockwork after Dan and is given a defective pocket watch. Clockwork says by the time Danny fixes it, things should be alright. All or the numerals on it represent people in his life he must get closer to and those who will help him throughout his life to reach his full potential.
_____
GRAVITY FALLS:
In A Black And White World- Dipper has the ability to see a dimension in between his and another, it's a dimension filled with magic. He is able to manipulate it but nobody else can see. He keeps it a secret until later on. It allows him to feel, see, taste, hear and smell others emotions and intentions. Their energies and feelings. He can see creatures that travel in the dimension, including Bill who teaches him about magic. He eventually manages to develop it enough so it becomes visible after seeing Bill use it in his body after his betrayal.
_____
DUCKTALES:
Operation Oversight- On an adventure, a bracelet with an intelligent sentient robot attaches itself to Louie when he examines it and through nightmares and threats convinces Louie to pursue Louie.Inc through any means necessary. This means forgetting his loved ones to reach his goal. His family finds out months after the adventure and they manage to break Louie out of the trance enough so he can destroy the bracelet.
_____
Adroit- (similar to the concept of epithets) A small population of people in this world have superpowers and it just so happens everybody in the mcduck family gains powers. The story is basically all of them using their abilities and discovering different parts of them. (I'll get into all of their powers later on)
_____
EDDSWORLD:
Chaosworld- A scientist with a vendetta against Tom attempts to steal his monster abilities but instead manages to give harmful mutations and powers to the gang. They try to revert the mutations and find a cure before it's too late for them all.
(Also also, I'm very sorry to those who follow me solely because of Chaosworld. I probably wont be writing anything for it for a very long time if I ever do get back to it. It just dosent really inspire me anymore, I'm sorry qwq. )
I had a couple of thoughts.
First off, what if One For All didn't store spirits. What if what it actually does is provide a link to them.
The previous users are not spending their afterlives in the quirk, they have an open Skype call with it. The previous users are actually in the ghost zone. That's how Danny ended up in the MHA world. The Shonen Protagonist Found Family line noticed a young hero fighting alone who could really use some training and support. They all simultaneously thought "we could do something about that."
Second, I had thoughts about Danny's training.
In DP we see Danny practicing his abilities. Sam and Tucker are there, presumably to offer an outside perspective and to keep track of numbers so Danny can focus on what he's doing. Sam has a notebook that she's recording his progress in, and which also contains a list of things to practice that Sam reads off to him so that he doesn't accidentally skip things.
After Danny finally manages to separate from All Might and start on his training, I can see Danny floundering a little and mentioning that it's weird practicing his full set of powers on his own.
The instructors at UA are good at teaching strategy and combat skills, but they tend to leave learning the specifics of the powerset and how to use it up to the individual. When Izuku was still breaking his bones, the best advice anyone at UA could come up with boiled down to "have you tried not sucking?"
Danny hasn't had to train his full powerset completely on his own before. Sometimes he'll work on specific individual things he's struggling with on his own, but his friends usually help him out. They provide an outside perspective and make sure he doesn't forget anything. Sam even has notebooks where she keeps track of his different abilities and what they learn about them.
Danny mentions this either to or within hearing range of Izuku, and Izuku's like "I got you, bro."
Izuku is so ready for this. He's got a fresh notebook and a brand new pack of pencils. He's been preparing for this duty his whole life. The two of them disappear into the training grounds for a weekend and come back beaming and with a stack of notebooks titled Ghost Analysis.
Most people seem to think of Izuku's analysis as a weird and slightly off-putting hobby. I like the idea of someone seeing it as a helpful and welcome way of supporting a friend.
NOT DC for once! But DP none the less!
And out here asking the Questions That Are Haunting Me (o.o ) as I sit and Ponder(TM)
Danny. Our babiest of boys. The feral Racoon of our hearts. WOULD HE? Get... stuck? If he possessed someone with one of those Haunted By The Previous Holders Protagonist McGuffins?
I am thinking specifically in this case Izuku Midoriya. Deku.
With his probably GRABBY AF Stockpiling Quirk. Which? Probably would want to get it's clingy little raccoon hands ALL over Danny's Ecto like? SIR!? Excuse me, SIR DESIST!!! *smacks with newspaper*
Not to MENTION? You go to hide, because crazy spandex weary people in armor, which... Fair. And? There are like? 8 to 9 people...already IN here? Uuuuuuuh? Hi? Well, this is awkward.
Wait, wait, WAIT! NOT THE FACE! *sounds of Shimura violence, because Nana don't play that "possessing my boy's baby boy" bullshit*
And like? Could he even LEAVE? Or would he have to literally make a Fenton Dream Catcher to split his Ecto from the person he's in? Presumably and HOPEFULLY before he, you know, POISONS THEM.
Because he accidentally picked the one dude who's body would try and ABSORB the very much NOT SAFE and very much DEADLY, highly corrosive, radioactive, substance known as Ectoplasm? Which was perfectly safe when only connect to HIM but NOT when leeching into his "host" as it were.
Oh! And people are super jumpy about him taking control of this random adolescent boy for a few hours a day to build the Catcher... for some reason. Like? Full squad of Professionals watching his every move, type jumpy. What? Is this kid the Japanese President's son or something? DOES Japan have a President? Hell if Danny knows. He's in a foreign dimension! So, maybe!
At least the kid is have the time of his young life, harra- I mean CHATTING with his... heeeead mates? Yeah, Danny has no idea what's going on there and doesn't feel like asking. This place is WEIRD.
Also! No NASA! OR space programs! So clearly, the WORST timeline/dimension! And Danny is trying not to be RUDE? But what the fuuuuuck. Unholy! Heathens, all of you. He wants his Space(~☆) back. And less..... This *offended hand motion*
Mobile-Friendly OC Masterpost
Apparently the carrd has been acting up, so here’s a post of my original characters! They can also be found here! ♥
Haru Yamada
Height: 5’8 (177 cm) Pronouns: They/Them
Appearance: Shoulder-blade length black hair that’s prone to frizz. Androgynous. Deep brown eyes. Lithe, but not very fit. Very pale. Age: 27 Birthday: December 5th – Sagittarius Sexuality: Pansexual Personality: While they appear easy-going, Haru is a very observant person and is prone to pick up details others might miss. The info they gain usually isn’t used against others… They just like to know things. A bit irritable after being forced to drop out of grad school due to finances and take over the family coffee shop, “A Coffee or Two.” Haru yearns for knowledge and feels trapped. Haru is very good at regulating their emotions and because of that, they can easily manipulate others. However, they vastly prefer the ‘kill 'em with kindness’ method. They’re very loyal to their friends but prefer to keep their 'circle’ small. A service switch - willing to do whatever it takes to please their partner, though they do get a kick out of teasing. Has a secret 'free use’ kink and wants their partners to use them whenever and however they want.
-
BNHA-Verse Extra Quirk: Rapid Heating Quirk Info: Haru has never been much of a fighter, but their quirk is perfect for the business they run. Haru can rapidly heat up their hands without fear of injury, which helps them to brew coffee and tea as well as ensure things are the perfect temperature. They can get a rough read on temperature just by touching something.
Miho Nakajima
Height: 5’9 (180 cm) Pronouns: She/Her Appearance: Long and thick ash blonde hair that’s usually tied back into a bun. Has two fluffy white ears and a fluffy tail. Sharp canines and sharp nails. Piercing red, feline-like eyes that are usually lined with dark makeup. Thick and strong with a lot of leg muscle. Like a real cat, she has a cute pooch on her stomach that acts as her ‘primordial pouch.’ Tans easily. Age: 25 Birthday: March 8th – Pisces Sexuality: Lesbian Personality: Rather optimistic, but prone to making impulse decisions born from high emotions. She wants to help everyone around her. As a child, she faced bullying for her quirk and Miho can sometimes be quick to take the defensive on comments about it, even if they are innocuous. Prone to being overprotective of those around her, but will back off if someone is uncomfortable. She had a string of relationships that ended due to circumstances out of her hands, so she’s reluctant to commit again. Switch leaning top, but is willing to bottom for people she trusts. A pillow princess at heart, but occasionally she gets pent up and will give her partner such a good time they won’t even know what happened. Rope bunny.
-
BNHA Verse Extra
Quirk: Cat Quirk Info: Much like Tsuyu’s frog quirk, Miho has all the abilities that a cat would have: fast reflexes, sharp claws, heightened sense of smell and hearing, flexibility… You name it, there’s a chance that Miho’s quirk is able to do it. Unlike cats, she does not have any whiskers. (Though she wishes she did!) She’s incredibly agile and plans to become a teacher once she’s finished with grad school. Her hope is to teach at UA.
Danny (Daniel) Glass
Height: 5’5 (165 cm) Pronouns: He/Him Appearance: Striking violet eyes that are always underlined by dark circles from lack of sleep. Black hair (naturally brown) that’s shaved into an undercut on the right side. Intricate floral tattoo on his neck. Russet skin. Short and fairly strong. Age: 30 Birthday: February 10th – Aquarius Sexuality: Bisexual Personality: Danny comes off as stoic but is a rather emotional guy when you get to know him. He cherishes close friendships and doesn’t make time for acquaintances. He can be lax with his studies, but he’s intelligent. He marches to the beat of his own drum and doesn’t really care what other people think about him, though he often still finds himself seeking approval by dressing fashionably. He’s been trying to kick smoking for a year with no success. Currently in Grad School for Architecture and Design, but is constantly questions academia despite enjoying his studies. Has never really been one for long-term relationships because he’s so unwilling to open up, but he wouldn’t reject one outright. Confident, just very quiet. Was in an open adoption as a child and is close with his parents and bio parents. He’s very proud of his heritage as a Native American, his bio parents hailing from the Kiowa tribe. A sub, almost always. He likes to be told what to do and how to do it - prefers rewards over punishments. Not interested in dominating his partners in any way. Prefers soft and romantic sex. Really into JOI, but from lovers only - the videos do nothing for him.
Alexandre Valentin
Height: 6’3” (193 cm) Pronouns: He/Him Appearance: Long and pale blonde hair, wavy. Deep blue eyes. Lanky with a lot of upper-strength and muscle. (He’s pretty twink-y, though.) Pale skin. Age: 29 Birthday: September 4th — Virgo Sexuality: Demi, Bisexual Personality: A quiet and reserved man. Alexandre prefers to spend time alone and read. He works at a library but does under the table work for extra cash when he feels like buying something nice. Alexandre is extremely morally grey, and has a lot of connections because of it. Flirty when he feels like it, but tends to keep to himself unless someone really interests him. When he does get interested, he falls fast and hard. He’s fairly low-maintenance and doesn’t do well around those who need a lot of attention. A bratty sub and a cruel dom - not picky about which role he takes, though Alexandre prefers lazy morning sex with no real 'roles’ over anything else. Consensual somnophilia kink.
-
BNHA Verse Extra Specialty: ??? (Vigilante) (Underground) Hero Name: Bataille Quirk: Blade Limbs Quirk Info: Alexandre can turn his arms into sharp blades that function just as a sword would. They’re quite heavy, so they require an immense amount of stamina to use. He doesn’t care for hero society and prefers to work in the shadows.
Sanguine
Height: 5’4 (152 cm) Appearance: Shoulder-length, curly bubblegum pink hair. Violet eyes. Fat with wide hips and a large bust. (Picrews are not an indication of her body size.) Age: 28 Pronouns: She/Her Birthday: June 6th — Gemini Sexuality: Pan Personality: She loves anything cute and tries to reflect it in her style. She’s a hopeless flirt and romantic, but will respect boundaries if told the back off. Constantly harboring new crushes. She’s almost always tired and can be seen nursing and iced coffee if she’s not napping. She works well in teams and prefers it to solo work. She really loves animals and is a vegan — won’t hesitate to kill anyone who harms an animal in front of her. Her morals are a mystery to those around her, but she knows she’s not exactly a great person when it comes to how she manipulates the people around her. She’s aggressively nosy and likes to know everything she can about her friends and lovers. She has a way of getting people to spill their hearts out to her, only to turn back and use the info on them when she needs something. Somehow, she still has a lot of friends. Very intense in relationships. A true switch. If she’s in charge, she’s a cruel mistress who likes humiliating her partners. Sanguine has no mercy for those who dare to let her dom. A power bottom, for sure. Cream pie kink.
-
BNHA Verse Extra Name - ??? – Refuses to reveal her real name and goes by Sanguine, her villain name.
Specialty: Assassinations Quirk: Blood Manipulation Quirk info: Sanguine spent lots of time training her quirk to be used as a weapon. Her quirk is strongest during the full moon and is generally more effective at night. She can control the blood flow of others, essentially rendering them to puppets. During full moons, she can cut off their airway. Her quirk is best used against one person. She has anemia, though if the condition is related to her quirk is unknown. She’s best used for missions that need a quick and quiet takeout, as she gets tired easily. Because of this, she prefers to take weapons (knives, guns) with her for backup.
Ann-Marie Bell
Height: 6'1 (186 cm) Appearance: Tall with an athletic body. Rich, dark brown skin with cool undertones. Wears her hair natural - her hair texture is 4A. She has a nose piercing on the right side of her nose. Age: 155 (Appears to be in her early 30s.) Birthday: April 11th — Aries Pronouns: She/Her, They/Them Sexuality: Bisexual Personality: Very optimistic and easy-going. Despite being a Vampire that is over 100 years old, she still holds onto a zest for life. Ann-Marie is very interested in how people work and what makes people tick. She is fast to form friendships and has a knack for making people feel comfortable, even if they feel a strange aura in her presence. She has only change a few other people in her time as a Vampire - she’s never found anyone willing to stick around with her for that long. Unfortunately, she’s paranoid about her secret getting out, so anyone who knows and doesn’t plan on sticking around is taken care of. (With mercy, but still…) Despite her… interesting method of ending relationships, Ann-Marie doesn’t kill the people she feeds from. A sadistic top, through and through. Can and will use her strap to put her lovers in their place.
Elestren
Height: 5'6 (167 cm) Appearance: Average height. Fairly built and stocky. Natural blonde but dyes his hair lavender. (Very meticulous about his appearance.) No piercings or tattoos. Freckly shoulders and legs. Age: 31
Pronouns: He/Him Birthday — January 25th (Aquarius) Sexuality: Pansexual Personality: An evil pseudo-himbo, if you will. Elestren acts very air headed and kind as a front, using his good looks to make the act seem charming. Underneath the surface, Elestren is an extreme manipulator and has always used his looks to get whatever he wanted in life - he doesn’t care how his actions impact the people around him as long as his goals are achieved. Works in the business field but has no real love for it except for the money he makes. Elestren is an extrovert and cycles through groups of friends almost monthly. He doesn’t often find someone he finds worthy of his friendship, and doesn’t care enough to hold the things people tell him in confidence against them. It’s one of the few positives of him - he’ll never tell your secrets because he doesn’t find them interesting enough to talk about. Elestren is, however, a hopeless 'romantic’ when it comes to his darling. His dedication is troubling and he is likely to be manipulative, reverent, and obsessive. He doesn’t let his darlings go easily and will do anything to keep them on his side. A switch that prefers to top. Surprisingly, enjoys being on the receiving end of degradation and humiliation, but doesn’t get to experience it unless he’s with a long-term darling.
Whee Vlad’s intro episode!!!
this was way late in the episodes because kisscartoon has them all out of order so...fun times...I got a Vlad appearance before he was introduced...okay...
ANYHOW
I really like Vlad so I’m hella biased but overall this was a really solid episode for setting him up, they moved pretty fast in establishing who he is and what he wants and I think in his case it’s okay to kinda spell it out. It shows his whole “I’m very subtle and cool but not actually all that subtle unless you’re fucking dumb” thing he has going on. They got to the point whatever. Sometimes Vlad snapping at Jack would be super random and I know they were trying to make it look like everyone was reacting that way (glancing at each other like “ummm what?), but the snapping comments he made came out of thin air and were often unrelated to what anyone just said it was weird.
I actually don’t wanna talk about the episode too much it’s fine. cool, great, I wanna talk AUs because that’s the kinda person I am.
Like I know Vlad exists to be the bad guy, and Danny’s foil who’s always more powerful than him and a step ahead shut up I know alright? I get it. I still want an AU (or UA?? i’unno) where Vlad just kinda got over himself years ago and didn’t try and make Jack look like an asshole and had meant it when he offered to teach Danny and Danny accepted it and he became a weird family member, or post nasty burger explosion where Danny and Vlad kinda make their own way and it’s sad for a while and like..idk what losing parents is like...but time heals and they are a weird family now because listen, I’m all about everyone getting along and found families, that’s my fucking JAM alright?
Or if you wanna go post canon (yeah the regrettable one where pp happened but hear me out) Vlad eventually getting brought back and being like “okay yeah maybe I was a dick how do I do better?” and sort of making an effort to try and redeem himself. And you could like...tie back Ultimate Enemy which ended with Dan still in the fucking thermos which means at this moment he’s still totally going to happen so um??? And Vlad has to help Danny master his powers so he doesn’t lose control and become Dan Phantom (they fucking burn those ghost separating glove things so that’s not a thing he can use). and there’s this whole kinda more mature theme and the big bad isn’t really anyone it’s just the constant looming fear of becoming that thing Danny saw before. I like redemption arcs guys...I’m a sap but I apologize for nothing.
i need Danny (who has spontaneously appeared in the mha universe, likely through clockwork/portal nonsense) to need a place to stay and Shoto saying "yeah ok just haunt my dad"
like Shoto sees literally no issue in letting this op rando be his roommate bc Danny can go invisible/intangible and, thusly, could never be hurt by Endeavor. meaning Danny would be entirely safe to prank the ever living shit out of Endeavor while Shoto watches with utter glee and foolproof alibis. Endeavor feels ice cubes down his back, a wind blowing out his flame beard, the eerie screams of children who aren't there, and even the photo of his family flying off the wall and cracking in front of his feet. Shoto is at UA, Fuyumi is teaching her own class, and the servants only work on certain days. There is no way this is anything but a quirk but...there's no one around who has the power to do this.
At school (bc Danny is def ending up at UA, prob due to Nedzu blackmailing the govt) ppl ask where the hell Danny is from/lives and Shoto just straightfaced says "he's the ghost that haunts my house"
I just wanna see Danny bond with the class man, the chaos it would cause keeps me going
#am now considered what a Shoto x Danny ship name would be#(if I could work a Shrondïnger in there I would but inspiration isn't hitting me rn)#if we used DP naming conventions it'd be smth like 'Deathly Chill' or 'Half and Half and Half and Half'#cause Shotos quirk is half and half (hot and cold) and Danny's existence is half and half (alive and dead)#oh my god now i want to write a fox with Danny x Shoto just so I can establish the ship name as 'Half and Half and Half and Half'#Half and Half and Half and Half
Astronaut Danny but in MHA??
This is a very quick idea, but one where Danny grows up to be an astronaut hiding from the government because of the anti-ecto Acts. NASA is very willing to hide his biology since he is the perfect choice for being an astronaut and there isn't a risk of him dying while on a mission.
During one of Danny's space missions, he accidentally gets knocked off course and flies through a natural portal to the realms and ends up crashing through another portal and crashed into an open area in a big city, which was very lucky.
Danny ends up passing out due to the crash and wakes up later in a hospital with an odd-looking human checking his vitals on a monitor.
This is when Danny learns that when he went through that portal, he ended up in an alternative timeline 200 years into the future where the excess ectoplasm caused humans to develop mini-cores that allowed for one power- or a "quirk" as the people of this universe called them.
#astronaut Danny#dp x bnha#danny crashes into UA training grounds#in the mha universe he's an astronaut with a secret powerset who was MIA for 200 years#he may end up teaching at UA#depends on how funny it would be for Nezu#dp x mha#danny phantom#my hero academia#space core danny
To spice things up abit
Danny is a Shinketsu teacher/student
Bonus besties with ms.joke/
Danny had originally wanted to work at UA. It was his alma mater, and all of his closest friends worked there. But Clockwork always said that everything is as it should be, so when he walked through the gates of Shiketsu High, he figured it was meant to be.
And, years later, that's still held up pretty strongly. Granted, there were certain times when he just felt like phoning it in. It was a job, and sometimes it really did feel like one. Especially on the long days of training after long nights of patrolling or stakeouts with Eraserhead or-god forbid-the occasional Ghost Zone thing he had to deal with during a weeknight.
Still, he's glad he can confidently say he genuinely enjoys his job. He never thought he would like teaching. After all, he remembers what it was like to be a student-and a bad one at that-but he also remembers the lack of support he had from the people he needed it from the most. If just one of his teachers had reached out a helping hand, he's sure he would have excelled a lot more. And honestly, with the grades he graduated with, it's kind of a surprise he was even accepted for the teaching position to begin with.
But everything is as it should be.
He does his best to be the kind of teacher for his students that he never had. He keeps spare blankets and pillows for when they really need a nap, and extra granola bars in his desk for those who can't afford a little extra food every now and then. And though he's terrible with everything but math and science, he tries his best to help them understand the work they get from other classes.
He enjoys watching his student's eyes sparkle with recognition when they finally solve a problem, or shine with passion when they talk about something they love, or something new that happened with their quirk. And when he went on his own tangents about space or quirk theory, they all sat at the edge of their seats, hanging on every word. Danny never thought he would be a good teacher, but he's glad to see himself proven wrong every single day.
The other perk to working at a superhero school is his coworkers. They're all talented in their own rights, with skills he would never be able to dream of having. But there's one in particular he gets along with well. Like a house on fire, really. Sometimes literally depending on how out of hand their pranks go. But Ms. Joke has been a godsend throughout his teaching career, and he wouldn't trade her for the world.
Through his toughest, meanest days she's stood by his side. Though she never seems to have bad days herself, he makes a point of letting her know he's there for her if she needs him, just like she's there for him. But if either of them ever need a pick-me-up, all it takes is one quick text, a very secretive lunch period, and a can of whip cream.
Danny likes to think that there will be ballads about the kind of pranks they've pulled, each one more wild and crazy than the last. They've never done any genuine harm except for the occasional lost eyebrow (that was completely deserved, if you ask Danny). And they never fail to lift their spirits. Without fail, every single one has ended with them crying and laughing on the floor, unable to stand any longer from the sheer chaotic joy they've caused.
Sometimes he wonders what it would be like if he had gotten that job at U.A. instead. Would he be drinking coffee in the mornings with Aizawa in a steady silence? Would he be brushing up on his literature with Cementoss? Would he be scrutinized in every way imaginable by Nezu? Probably a yes to all of those things.
But he's also created this little pocket of peace. He finally carved out a little section of the world that was just his. It didn't belong to ghosts or anybody else. Just one, kinda tired, Daniel Fenton, teacher extraordinaire.
Plus, the jokes with his morning coffee was a plus.
Besides, everything is as it should be.
And he had no plans on changing that anytime soon.
What about Danny fresh from the accident with no handle on his power just being spat out at ua? Like I'm talking the accident happened but instead of walking back out into the lab he just is in a classroom and everyone is speaking g japanese.
mmm, good soup ---------
When Danny had finally come to, he had been expecting the cold interior of the ineffective ghost portal. Instead, he was met with indescribable pain and a homeless man leaning over him.
He inhaled sharply as he scooted as far from the man as he possible could. Who was this guy? How did he get in the basement? Where in the fuck are Sam and Tucker?
The man was speaking to him. It was a low, soft growl that Danny knew was supposed to be comforting. It wasn't English, though.
Japanese, his mind supplied. He knew enough to recognize it, but not enough to speak it. Years of endlessly watching anime was wasted, apparently.
"What the fuck is going on?" He asked. His heart, terrified as he was, was thankfully pretty calm. He had no idea how, but he wasn't about to question it.
"You speak English?" The man asked. Danny nodded, and the man continued. "I'm the pro hero Eraserhead. Are you okay?"
There was an implied are you safe? But Danny was too focused on the other words that had come out of Mr. Hobo's mouth. A pro hero? Heroes weren't a thing. They were from comic books and cartoons. They weren't supposed to be able to lean over him and ask him if he was okay.
Danny gave a shaky nod, as he looked around. He was nowhere near his house. And if Japanese was what he had been greeted with, he probably wasn't even near Amity.
When Danny looked around he was met with twenty pairs of eyes, all staring at him in disbelief. And he knew he was hallucinating. This had to be a bad dream because pink girls and eight-armed boys were a thing of fiction. At least, they were supposed to be.
There was a sturdy hand on his shoulder, and his head whipped back to-what was his name-Eraserhead? If that was his hero name he seriously felt bad for the guy. His PR was not doing him any favors.
"Can you stand?"
Danny gave him another nod before shakily getting up with the help of Mr. Hobo.
From the terrain alone, it was obvious he was in a school. Because of course he was. Even on weird days he always ended up here. There were long, confusing hallways with classrooms and the occasional Halloween-dressed faculty member passing by.
"Where are you taking me?" Danny asked.
"To Recovery Girl to make sure you're okay. What's your name, kid?"
"Uh...Danny. Where-Where are we?"
"Were at U.A," Eraserhead answered. "It's a prestigious school to train young heroes."
"Train heroes? What do you mean?"
He got an eyebrow raised at him for that. Were superpowers normal here?
"Well, the hero business is extremely competitive and selective so to combat that and to properly train them, we teach high schoolers how to hone in their quirks, as well as other basic necessities for being a hero."
"Uh...Okay. Can I ask one more question?" At Eraserhead's silence, he continued. "What's a quirk?"
Eraserhead turned fully to him now. His eyes were narrowed with suspicion. "What do you mean? you obviously have one. I mean, even if it's just the eyes, I'm pretty sure only a quirk can make them glow."
"What? My eyes aren't glowing," Danny told him. But he was quickly proven wrong.
As they made it to Recovery Girl's room, and after she had fussed over him and kissed his hand for good measure, Eraserhead pulled out a very high tech piece of technology that would have had Tucker absolutely drooling.
He stared back at himself, and didn't recognize him.
Instead of the blue eyes and dark hair he looked at every morning, he was met with white hair and toxic green eyes. He almost thought it was a joke at first, but the movements of the stranger were mirroring his perfectly.
Eraserhead seemed to know what was happening, considering he pushed Danny back onto the bed. Danny's breathing became labored and he became unfocused. What had happened? How could-
The portal.
Eraserhead had said something about him coming out of one. What had happened? The last thing he remembered was going in, and posing for a picture. And then he tripped, and then...
White hot pain.
Danny looked down at his gloved, left hand. That's where it had stemmed from. It's what hurt the worst, even after Recovery Girl's treatment. With a shaky hand he pulled the glove off, and gasped at what he saw.
Starting from his palm, electric-green was crisscrossing all over his hand and up into his sleeve. He didn't need to pull it back to know it covered his whole arm. Maybe even his whole body.
"Am I...Am I dead?" He asked. It was more to himself, as a realization. He hadn't been expecting an actual answer from Recover Girl.
The answer was no, of course. But he might as well have been. Almost no heartbeat. He was unnaturally cold, and the blood she had taken from him was green, not red, which was not correct.
"Where did you say you were from?" Eraserhead asked him. He hadn't said, but if Eraserhead was phrasing the question like that, he knew it must be pretty serious.
"I'm from Amity Park, Illinois. I was in a lab accident in my parent's basement. They're inventors, you can look it up. They're names are Jack and Maddie Fenton."
"We'll see what we can find."
-------
"That's...Impossible," Danny said, staring at his hands in disbelief.
"I'm sorry, but there is no Jack and Maddie Fenton, or an Amity Park in Illinois. Not since before the pre-quirk era, anyway."
While Eraserhead had gone to do some research and call some people, Recover Girl had patiently explained what quirks were, and how the world worked. The pre-quirk era, he knew, was before super powers.
"Nobody had superpowers. There were no superheroes, where I'm from," he had told her.
Hearing that particular news from Eraserhead, though. It was devastating. And he didn't know how to handle it.
Maybe it was the news. Maybe it was the emotionally taxing day. But Danny was exhausted, and he quite literally could not take any more of this. He just wanted to go home, with his cool mom and his loud dad and his overbearing sister. he wanted to see Sam and Tucker again. Hell, he'd even let Dash bully him if it meant he got to go back. But now that there was no Amity, and he had somehow ended up in the fucking future of all things, his options were looking very slim to none.
White rings split Danny in half. All he could do was yelp and stand up as the rings went opposite directions, encasing him in a bright light before suddenly disappearing.
He was back in his normal street clothes. He made grabby hands at Eraser, who held up his phone ("that's a cell phone?"). He was staring back at his normal self. Black hair, blue eyes.
"I should have never gone into that stupid portal," he said tiredly, sitting back on the bed. "If I can't even keep the superpowers then what's the point?"
"You mean the portal you came through?" Eraserhead asked. Danny shrugged.
He explained his parent's profession, which Eraserhead made less embarrassing than normal, and he had explained going into the portal. it wasn't supposed to turn on but-how had it? Right. His parents put the power switch on the inside. That's what his hand landed on when he had tripped and...Died.
He was dead. Half dead? Half ghost? Could he change back?
Just at the mere thought the rings came again, and gave him the weird white hair and echoing voice. Death was permanent. He knew that. So the same could be true for a half-death, right?
"Oh my god, dying gave me superpowers," he said. And all because of the portal.
The portal.
There was something he was missing, wasn't there? He had learned everything about ghosts because his parents had forced him to. The portal was supposed to go to this place they called the Ghost Zone. That's where they resided in their afterlives. What if their theories hadn't been wrong? And if that's the case, if he could manage to get back into the Ghost Zone, he could probably manage to get back home. If it took him forward in time, it only made sense to allow him to go back as well. Like Newton's law, or something. (He really needed to pay more attention in class.)
He explained all of this to Eraserhead, who had given him a shrug and a half-hearted, "It might be possible."
That was all Danny needed though. If he could somehow recreate the portal, he could make it home. He was sure of it.
After all, he had people waiting for him.
I wish for more danny ua teacher au
What does he teach? Is his lack of knowledge teaching, suspicious to the kids? If not, what does become suspicious? Who's gonna call him out first?
How do the teachers explain away danny's 'quirks' after what happens at the usj? And what happens at the summer camp? I wanna know all about the summer camp.
He's been known to UA for long enough that they don't mind him being around kids, so he has, like, basic background knowledge. His lack of history knowledge really only comes up when he's helping during Aizawa's Hero Ethics classes and he's kind of quiet during those. Usually, he's either on standby as All Might's assistant, grading papers Aizawa, Ectoplasm, or Mic don't want to do, being a combat training dummy, or being the 'example native speaker' for English class.
He's busy, in other words.
The teachers might just tell the students that they're aware of Danny's extra quirks and not to talk about it. After all, the first nomu didn't seem to get that much surprise from the students at the time. Although, that might just be because they didn't want to talk about such a traumatic event in detail.
As I've mentioned in other posts, Danny makes sure All Might gets to the USJ on time, so that fight happens very differently. All Might and the nomu get at it right away. I think the original plan for attacking during class was to make All Might split his attention between Kurogiri, the nomu, and protecting the students, but they underestimated how Plus Ultra the students could go.
With Danny, 13, and Aizawa there, though, All Might doesn't really need to split his attention all that much. The students also don't get scattered quite as much, because Danny's able to fight off Kurogiri. It also ends much earlier, because Danny can get a duplicate off to UA. He's not blocked by doors and walls, after all.
As for the training camp... I'm not sure how it'd go in this AU quite yet.
