An American Airlines worker who died was ruled to have been killed by a horrific accident — after a corporate investigator suggested that the cause of death was suicide, according to a report.

Michal Ingraham, a 37-year-old fleet service agent, was driving an aircraft-towing vehicle known as a “tug” on April 20 on the tarmac at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas when it crashed into a jet bridge near Gate 24 at Barbara Jordan Terminal, according to the American-Statesman of Austin.

He was pronounced dead around 15 minutes after authorities arrived on the scene.

During the police probe of the incident, a corporate investigator hired by American Airlines suggested to cops that Ingraham’s death may have been suicide, the American-Statesman reported.

Lynn Fast told Austin police a day after the incident that he had “obtained information overnight indicating that the fatal incident was a suicide and not an accident,” according to a police report cited by the American-Statesman.

Fast reportedly told authorities that he spoke to Ingraham’s father.

During their conversation, the father apologized for the ordeal, which Fast said he “found strange.”

Police, however, dismissed the wild assertion by Fast.

Instead, one witness told police that the tug Ingraham was driving “accelerated faster than normal and then veered to the right” before the fatal collision.

When other ground agents yelled at Ingraham to hit the brakes, it appeared that the accelerator “got stuck” moments before the crash, witnesses told police.

The crash left Ingraham pinned between the vehicle and the underside of the jet bridge, according to the American-Statesman.

The medical examiner determined that Ingraham died as a result of blunt force injuries, according to the report.

Toxicology reports indicated that Ingraham had no drugs or alcohol in his system at the time of the crash.

Investigators also received a tip from an anonymous source who told them that the vehicle Ingraham was driving had been “marked out of service numerous times for failed brakes,” according to the newspaper.

Ingraham’s tug was reportedly beset with “several mechanical issues” in the days and weeks leading up to the accident, according to the report.

Despite the mechanical failures, the vehicle was kept in operation.

Ten days before the April 20 incident, the same vehicle was involved in a separate collision due to brake failure, a tipster is reported to have told police.

The Post has sought comment from Fast, whose LinkedIn account indicates that he worked as a peace officer for the Texas Department of Public Safety as well as the Addison Police Department in suburban Dallas.

The Post has sought comment from American Airlines.

“We are focused on ensuring that all involved have the support they need during this difficult time,” an airline spokesperson told the American-Statesman.

“American is fully cooperating in this open investigation.”

According to the American-Statesman, the company that oversees maintenance for the vehicle is Menzies Aviation, a UK-based company with an office in Grapevine, Texas.

A Menzies representative declined to comment when reached by The Post.

This is going to be a long read, but here's the blog post update on what's happened since getting stranded.

With the help of you lovely people, I was able to get it towed the rest of the way to Dallas. I then had a cousin reach out willing to help get it fixed no matter what it took, so that I could make it back home. We had to wait out the weekend, then he took it to a mechanic to get the proper diagnosis as to why it wouldn't hold temperature. We then found out that there was a crack in the radiator, and that's where the fluid leak was coming from. My cousin had to help me get a brand new radiator in the car and pay the mechanic to put it in. I was also informed that the engine desperately needs to be serviced because there's a piston not hitting right. I'm not sure when or if that will get fixed in the future. We were stuck until the following Wednesday, then we finally made it home.

I desperately need to find a better source of income, so that I can be prepared for emergencies like that, or anything really. It's exhausting working all that I can, only to keep running into the ground with my bills. It's exhausting being unable to function like a normal person--provide my own groceries, pay to wash my clothes, provide other necessities such as hygienic products, buy new clothes or shoes as needed, or even just simply put my gas in my car to make it to work every day. Not to mention getting my car fixed so I have a solid form of transportation. I strive for nothing more than to be stable, I feel like I'm really pushing it trying to scrape up pennies to get by week by week. On top of all of that, I took on my 17 yr old sister to live with me so I could help her with her first job over the summer, who I completely enjoy having around but I feel like I need to not show her how stressed I always am although hiding my feelings is something that I'm absolutely terrible at.

Anyway, this is in no way a pity post or anything of the sort. Just a simple short vent about my situation.

In the Tampa Bay region, off-and-on rain showers are forecast as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers face the Washington Commanders.

With the frontal boundary lingering across the state, precipitation chances will remain high. Forecast models predict an additional 3-7 inches of rain over the next week, with some isolated areas experiencing more.

The flood threat will be greatest in areas where rain bands persistently impact the same regions, generally south of the frontal boundary.

On Sunday, Flood Warnings are in effect for several rivers in North and Central Florida. Minor flooding is anticipated along the St. Johns River in Astor. In Southwest Florida, minor flooding is also expected for the Alafia River at Lithia in Hillsborough County, the Myakka River in Myakka River State Park in Sarasota County, and the Peace River at Arcadia in DeSoto County.

While damage from the flooding has been relatively limited so far, impacts are expected to worsen as the already saturated ground reduces water absorption.

Have you ever had one of those days when...

The tire stores felt the need for your business??

I mean construction seems to be the new norm all over and the Dallas area isn't immune from random debris from construction causing a blowouts.

I had such debris tossed into my path Friday afternoon on one of the major highways while headed East. The debris was flipped up by car in front and hit the right front tire blowing it out, yet also damaged and affected the right rear. My left front tire had enough wear, the manager recommended replacing. So, I purchased 3 tires Friday just before they closed.

On this beautiful Sunday morning as I was heading back in a westerly direction, some crazy wild ledge of a concrete joint jolted all four tires, I knew 2 tires were blown. [both on the right.. Yes, those brand new tires]
