Get more sun!
The mental and physical benefits of getting sun every day include but are not limited to:
Vitamin D production: Sunlight is the primary source of vitamin D, a nutrient that is essential for healthy bones and teeth, as well as immune system function and mental health.
Improved mood: Sunlight exposure triggers the release of serotonin, a hormone that can help improve mood and reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.
Regulation of circadian rhythm: Exposure to sunlight can help regulate the body's natural sleep-wake cycle, leading to better sleep and overall health.
Reduced inflammation: Sunlight exposure has been shown to reduce inflammation in the body, which can help reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes.
Improved immune function: Vitamin D produced by the body in response to sunlight exposure plays a critical role in immune function, helping to protect against infections and disease.
Lowered blood pressure: Exposure to sunlight has been shown to lower blood pressure, which can reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke.
Improved cognitive function: Sunlight exposure has been shown to improve cognitive function, including memory, attention, and processing speed.
Better bone health: Vitamin D produced in response to sunlight exposure plays an essential role in bone health, helping to prevent conditions such as osteoporosis.
Reduced risk of certain cancers: Sunlight exposure has been linked to a reduced risk of certain types of cancer, including breast, colon, and prostate cancer.
Improved skin conditions: Sunlight exposure can improve skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, and eczema, as well as improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Enhanced physical performance: Sunlight exposure can increase endurance and physical performance, as well as improve muscle strength and flexibility.
Increased energy: Sunlight exposure can increase energy levels, helping to combat fatigue and improve overall productivity.
The amount of sun exposure needed varies depending on several factors, such as skin type, time of day, geographic location, and the season. However, in general, it's recommended to get about 10-30 minutes of sun exposure daily, ideally in the morning or late afternoon when the sun's UV rays are not as strong.

Apple cider vinegar, or ACV, has been touted for its numerous health benefits for centuries. Here are some of the most well-researched benefits:
Digestive aid: ACV contains acetic acid, which helps break down proteins and carbohydrates, reducing symptoms of indigestion and bloating. Why: Acetic acid's pH level helps to balance the body's natural digestive processes.
Weight loss: ACV contains pectin, a soluble fiber that helps reduce appetite and increase feelings of fullness. Why: Pectin slows down the absorption of glucose and insulin, leading to weight loss.
Lower blood sugar levels: ACV contains acetic acid, which has been shown to improve insulin sensitivity and reduce glucose production in the liver. Why: Acetic acid's ability to improve insulin sensitivity helps regulate blood sugar levels.
Heart health: ACV contains polyphenols, such as quercetin and epicatechin, which have antioxidant properties that help reduce inflammation and oxidative stress. Why: Polyphenols' antioxidant properties protect against cardiovascular disease by reducing inflammation and oxidative stress.
Antimicrobial properties: ACV contains acetic acid, which has antibacterial and antifungal properties that help combat infections. Why: Acetic acid's antimicrobial properties make it effective against a wide range of microorganisms.
Anti-inflammatory: ACV contains polyphenols, such as quercetin and epicatechin, which have anti-inflammatory properties that help alleviate symptoms of conditions like arthritis and gout. Why: Polyphenols' anti-inflammatory properties reduce inflammation and alleviate symptoms.
Improved dental health: ACV contains acetic acid, which helps reduce tooth decay and gum disease by killing bacteria and acid-producing microbes in the mouth. Why: Acetic acid's antibacterial properties eliminate harmful bacteria that contribute to tooth decay.
Lower cholesterol levels: ACV contains acetic acid, which has been shown to inhibit the production of cholesterol in the liver. Why: Acetic acid's ability to inhibit cholesterol production reduces LDL cholesterol levels.
Improved gut health: ACV contains prebiotic fibers like pectin, which help promote the growth of beneficial gut bacteria. Why: Prebiotic fibers feed beneficial bacteria, supporting a healthy gut microbiome.
Antioxidant-rich: ACV contains antioxidants like quercetin and epicatechin, which help protect against oxidative stress and cell damage caused by free radicals. Why: Antioxidants neutralize free radicals, reducing oxidative stress and cell damage.
be cautious about quality/quantity vinegar consumption.
Use organic, unfiltered, unprocessed apple cider vinegar, which is cloudy, meaning it contains the “mother.”
Two teaspoons to two tablespoons is the general dosage recommendation. If you want to drink it, dilute it with water or your favorite juice or tea.
Oral: For diabetes, dilute 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar in 8 ounces of water daily. For weight loss, drink diluted dose with high carbohydrate meals.

NSB (Straud Legacy) Gen 9
Today's (8/5/2024) Episode: Life Back on Track
Luigi and Noemi’s shopping trip boosted their confidence, but they still had to go out into the world and face the challenges of their new age stage.
For Luigi that began at home with learning to manage his diabetes. First, Noemi helped him purge the fridge. Everything that didn’t fit his new dietary restrictions had to go! It hurt to throw some of his favorite treats into to the trash, but not as much as it could hurt if they tempted him to ill health.
Next, after some research online he purchased a discreet glucose monitor that delivered real time data straight to his phone. When the app alerted him that his sugar levels were too high, he had insulin on hand to help get things back on track. Both he and Noemi learned how to administer the injections but mostly Luigi preferred to do it on his own, in private.
Luigi wasn’t the only one experimenting with new ways to get his daily nourishment. Now that he could sit up, Skye seemed to like nothing better than tasting a wide variety of interesting new textures and flavors form his highchair, just as grandpa Peachy had predicted.
Luigi had been sad his father had passed on before he could show his grandbaby the world of tasty delights, but unlike Jack Peachy had no qualms about coming around for regular visitations. With a hearty laugh the ghostly specter proclaimed, “these translucent fingers can hold a spoon just as well, thank you very much!” before happily plopping his grandbaby in his new favorite spot for a little culinary bonding time.
Luigi got in a little grandfatherly bonding time of his own when Great Grandpa Don popped online to chat while they played Party Frenzy.
His ancestor could sympathize with Luigi’s health struggles, remembering how devastating it had felt when he was first diagnosed with asthma. His personal success with adjusting his lifestyle to suit the demands of his new condition gave Luigi hope he could do the same.
With his reminder to stay active Luigi and Noemi began to fulfill that promise they’d made to each other to get back into a regular fitness routine. Their island home was perfect for outdoor activity most of the time and a run on the beach was a great way to have fun and stay fit!
Luigi’s big adjustments at home made it easier to continue racking up success at work. With his diabetes under control, he was able to quickly knock off his regular daily tasks with time left over to continue his “special project” of revamping the teams website.
His long-standing appreciation of art combined with some research online about current graphic design trends helped him to modernize the site’s backgrounds and fonts. His bosses loved the fresh new look and showered him with praise for a job well done.
Luigi was excited to receive his first endorsement deal since the great video he’d made with his father. When his brother Kian called for some advice “getting out there”, he decided to stick to the winning family-oriented formula and invite his siblings to join him for the filming.
While his drone Yoshi circled the dance floor, the boys (and Kian’s friend) recorded some great dance scenes and a bunch of slice-of-life banter.
Capturing more scenes of the neighborhood before and after, Luigi had a lot of footage to edit into a compelling lifestyle piece promoting clubs like The Narwhal Arms. He worked hard late into the night to craft something with just the right vibe, smiling when Kian thanked him for the great time.
From the way the final product was coming together he was sure the sponsors would be just as happy!
Noemi didn’t find herself having nearly as much fun and success as her fiancée with the start of her own career.
When it became apparent that therapy alone wasn’t going to make her feel comfortable dealing with all the social stresses of working in an office, she scheduled a follow-up appointment with the psychiatrist and agreed to give medication a try.
She was not fond of the side effects, but she hoped the meds would make a positive difference to her work performance.
Noemi also took advantage of the natural stress relief of spending time with her favorite people, and her favorite four-legged friends.
Little Roach’s long face always brought her a smile. Some might find his wandering through the house at all hours odd, but it comforted her to have him always so nearby.
Luigi also did his part to brighten his fiancée’s day. One particularly steamy dream even inspired him to show her all the fun tricks that he learned from his crazy ex teammate so long ago. He had been hurt by Jade’s dismissal then, but he was comforted by the knowledge that it had ultimately led him to a partner who really appreciated him.
Of course, the couple also spent plenty of time with their son, even if Grandma Valentina perhaps did more than her fair share of the baby care.
Luigi never had warmed to fatherhood like his papa. He continued to find the daily tasks of caring for an infant nauseating, tedious, and often confusing – what did he WANT!? When Skye learned to babble it helped, but Luigi would never say parenting was his favorite activity.
However, when Skye learned to “dance”… that was a joyous day indeed! As the 4 sims celebrated with an impromptu dance party in the living room Luigi reflected on how glad he was that things seemed to be getting back on track. He hoped to enjoy more of the same in the days to come.

Rant about diabetes below (things that grind my gears about what people say, and just general health stuff I’ve been going through lately)
You can tell when people don’t know how diabetes works when they say stuff like a cheeseburger will give them diabetes. Fucker diabetes is a sugar and carb issue not a cholesterol issue. And you can’t GIVE yourself diabetes. Getting diabetes fully depends on your body’s genetics, like family history, or just being super unlucky when it comes to health lottery
You don’t get diabetes from being fat, it’s technically the opposite. Unexplained Weight gain and loss is a symptom.
You can’t get diabetes from eating too much of certain foods. Yes including the offending ones that are bad for diabetics. It’s about insulin production and sensitivity. Some people don’t produce insulin (type one). Some people are resistant to insulin (type two and what I have). Some people will be on medical insulin their entire lives. Sometimes you can manage it with diet changes (might as well be an eating disorder in my opinion but it keeps from dying via ice cream)
Too high or low of a blood sugar can cause a diabetic coma. So if you see a diabetic eating something sweet, it could be their daily treat they allow themselves because people deserve happiness, or they could be treating a low blood sugar.
bread is mean to me, bread is delicious. Why must this be so. Some foods are just unable to be replaced. My favorite cookie recipe <\3 I miss it
Learned I almost fucking went into coma range for blood sugars a while back. I was told the numbers by a nurse at my mental health center and not yooou know….MY FUCKING DOCTOR. I knew low blood sugar could potentially cause a coma, but my doctor didn’t think it important to tell the patient with high blood sugar problems that comas were possible with highs?! I could have fucking killed myself with fucking ice cream of all fucking things.
I’m lucky I found a substitute for pasta. A reasonably priced one anyway!
Plain white sandwich bread has decent substitutes but no more fresh bread for meee :(
I never thought I would miss eating cereal. I am jealous of people’s ability to eat cereal. Even the healthy ones have to many sugars or carbs. Usually carbs. But carbs break down into sugar really quickly, which is what makes them a moderation food category.
Everything breaks down into sugar/glucose technically. It’s the body’s preference on energy. But some foods break down slower than others allowing my slow ass insulin to actually work. Alongside the help of the medical insulin I was given.
I’m on insulin now! It took them long enough. I went from between 200 and 400 to between mid 100 to low 200! It’s funny how much better it when they actually started treating it, instead of just telling me to change my diet which I had been doing for fucking months and it wasn’t working. Strictest diet of my entire life, without the insulin it still was in the 300s and 400s. Like I think my insulin resistance is bad enough I NEED the medical insulin. I won’t be surprised if I am on it for the rest of my life
Lost a lot of comfort foods. Hit my depression hard. I am learning to deal with it. Food is expensive when you have dietary restrictions. I knew that before all of this. I honestly have to thank some of the fad diets for food availability. Sugar free and low carb food is a lot easier to find these days! I still don’t like fad diets all that much. But man, they do sometimes help people who have food restrictions for medical reasons by giving those greedy CEOs dollar bill eyes when they see the marketable trend. Food is still expensive tho
If a white sugar alternative says use it like real sugar (baking or sweetness wise) they are WRONG. A white sugar substitute I have is about the same sweetness, you might notice an aftertaste if you’re sensitive to stevia sweeteners, but it is powdery. Texture is wrong. Not even like powdered sugar. Like that fake snow powder before it gets rehydrated, or really fine potato flakes. Not good for baking. Only good for coffee. Wouldn’t recommend for fruit punch or teas. No/10 wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for an actual white sugar substitute. If you need it for only coffee maybe/10 get a small amount first
Cooking has gotten more complicated lately 👍
My depression is sooooo happy about that (sarcasm)

'Petition For NYC & Others'
© Raul Cortes Junior 10 - 24 - 2024
I want to take this time to ask for the supernatural energy of compassion (aka the holy spirit), to dwell within me right now.
I am thankful for this moment & what I am allowed to do, to pray, write petition for the well being of others & myself.
I don't know what is going on with my social media sites that I created yesterday because I can't log into them at this present time, except for tumblr, I intend positive energetic alms to different groups of people in this writing/petition.
I have been given a lot of false information & had experienced a lack of trust among my surroundings, that led to a lot misunderstanding & misinformation.
I begin my prayer with the library, staff workers & security guards, as I type these words.
From all lightworkers to the creator of all in heaven,
most valuable is your name all throughout the universe,
may your kingdom manifest & your will be accomplished,
on earth as it is in heaven,
give your lightworkers on this day daily nourishment,
& forgive us our faults & mistakes, as we forgive the faults & mistakes of others,
& do not lead us to be tempted, yet deliver us from all evil schemes & plots,
For yours is the kingdom, the power & all the honor, may it be so.
Further more, I pray for all politicians, celebrities, entertainers, artists & legal teams that represent true justice, here in New York City.
According to your will, Creator of all,
Bless with good health, good fortune & overall exceptional human interaction with beings of every kind, especially those who mean well & want to make the world a better place.
May controversies, rumors & character assassinations cease, if lies are being spread. May justice prevail, if indeed, crimes were committed.
Now I must say that, in order for this petition to have any lasting impact, one must consider, that yes my prayer has power (as it has been shown on multiple occasions), however, the people with covert-oversight of my life situation should consider the intention towards my wellbeing, (with it being purely a good & actively productive intention).
Now, I petition, that people...
with diabetes, asthma, HIV, cancer, high blood pressure, hurt knees, back pain, migraines, surgery recoveries, toothaches, lethargy, grief stricken, curses, intrusive energies, remote device influences & other difficulties,
...be released from all of these oppressions, if it be in the will of the Creator, & that there is a guide to provide specific instructions to receive deliverances of some of these oppressions & struggles.
This petition goes out to my entire biological family, ex friends, employment associates, artists, collaborators, activists, religious members & all other persons I have ever known, nearby in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania & as far away as Canada, UK London, Florida, Virginia Beach, Puerto Rico & beyond.
I also petition & pray that, I too, receive miracles & blessings as well, (the writer of this petition). In the name of the only begotten son of the creator, Jesus Christ, the entity of salvation for all who truly believe, AMEN.

Published: Dec 16, 2023
Boys are struggling in middle school, stuck in an academic setting that they say rewards them for sitting still and taking notes—in other words, behaving more like girls.
“It’s really hard sitting still for eight hours a day,” says Tyler Brausa, now 16. When he jumped from elementary school to middle school, the lack of recess and daily gym was a jolt. Tyler often got in trouble for talking out of turn and fidgeting at his desk. After school, he and his friends escaped into videogames—a realm where they have purpose and work together toward a shared goal.
School could compete with gaming if it felt more rewarding to boys, he says.
Some of them are. A number of all-boys middle schools—public, charter and private—have begun opening in recent years to meet boys’ needs. Inside the walls of these schools, boys get lots of hands-on learning, frequent breaks and plenty of movement. Some coed schools are also addressing the problem, dividing up boys and girls for certain classes. And they’re having success.
“Instead of making guys change the way we behave,” Tyler says, “maybe schools should change the way they’re structured.”
‘Bumping into things’
At the private, boys-only Field Middle School in the San Francisco Bay Area, which opened two years ago, students start some days sitting in a circle. The school’s 46 students, in grades six through eight, talk about what they’re grateful for and acknowledge mistakes they’ve made.
On other days, they begin by reviewing assignments, cleaning out backpacks and checking they have supplies such as sharpened pencils. Organization and time management don’t come easily to all adolescent boys, as I covered last week.
“Boys tend to learn by bumping into things,” says Jason Baeten, Field’s head of school. Dance classes held in the courtyard aren’t judged for grace and form. “That’s not always a metaphor—sometimes they’re too big for their bodies.”
At Field, 80% of the teachers are male. Overall numbers of male teachers in K-12 education have been falling nationwide, according to Richard Reeves, president of the nonpartisan nonprofit American Institute for Boys and Men.
The administrators know how distracting technology can be to kids. Every morning the students turn in their phones and smartwatches to the front office for the day. They use iPads for some assignments in class but they aren’t in constant use.
Giving boys a chance to move around and work with their hands is a big focus at Field and other all-boys schools. The students get a 20-minute morning snack break, a 45-minute lunch period and PE three to five days a week. One classroom has standing desks.
The school has a class in which kids design products to solve problems or help people. One boy developed sugar-free recipes so his diabetic brother could enjoy dessert. The school also offers a build class; last year the boys built go-karts. On Mondays, the students cook lunch for each other and the staff. They regularly vacuum and sweep the classrooms.
‘Motivated by competition’
Field is too new to have high-school graduation success rates. But the Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy, a public all-boys school for grades six through 12, has proven results. The Dallas school, open since 2011, has a 91% graduation rate; the same percentage of students score proficient on reading, compared with the district average of 52%, according to U.S. News & World Report.
“The biggest reason our students do well is we have a committed staff. The brothers, as we call our students, know we care about them,” says Rashad Jackson, principal of the school, which has 541 boys. “It’s not just about A’s and B’s, we’re invested in their social-emotional well-being.”
The boys at the Obama Academy, as well as the students at Dallas’s two other public all-boys schools, have opportunities to get out their wiggles throughout the day. (The district also has three all-girls’ schools.)
At Dallas’s pre-K through-eighth-grade Solar Preparatory School for Boys, students rotate through a different learning station every 15 minutes because brain science shows boys need frequent movement, says principal Derek Thomas.
Timers buzz to indicate when students need to switch to the next task.
“When you put a timer on something, it becomes a competition, and boys are motivated by competition,” he says. “If I tell them to work on organizing their binder and I give them two minutes, they’ll do it in one minute 30 seconds.”
‘The boys have voices’
These educators say middle-school boys feel freer to make and learn from mistakes when girls aren’t around.
That’s something administrators at Treasure Valley Classical Academy, a coed charter school in Fruitland, Idaho, also noticed. When middle-school boys and girls are together in PE class, the boys try to impress the girls, and the girls don’t participate as much, says school founder Stephen Lambert
The 580-student school, which serves kindergarten through 10th grade, began separating girls and boys in some PE classes two years ago. The girls became more engaged and competitive and the boys more focused, teachers said.
The school did the same for some music and art classes. When together, girls tend to out-sing the boys, Lambert says. “The boys’ voices are cracking and they’re embarrassed and self-conscious and they won’t sing,” he adds. “When you split them up, you realize the boys have voices and they want to make them heard.”
All students get plenty of time to move, with recess for all kids in kindergarten through eighth grade, and an extended hangout time after lunch for the high-school students.
Leonard Sax is a family doctor who has studied more than 500 schools over the past 20 years, and wrote several books on gender differences. He says that any school could replicate these approaches without being disruptive—or discriminatory.
“Schools can be friendly to boys without being unfriendly to girls,” he says.
==
Apparently, bludgeoning the maleness out of boys doesn't make them better students. Males and females are inherently different. Imagine that.
A program like this would never fly at many co-ed schools where activists masquerade as teachers. For reference, one of the Grievance Studies papers is called "The Progressive Stack: An Intersectional Feminist Approach to Pedagogy" and described thusly:
This is our most appalling paper, and it’s deeply concerning that how it is being treated at the highly respected journal Hypatia. It forwards that educators should discriminate by identity and calculate their students’ status in terms of privilege, favor the least privileged with more time, attention and positive feedback and penalize the most privileged by declining to hear their contributions, deriding their input, intentionally speaking over them, and making them sit on the floor in chains—framed as educational opportunities we termed “experiential reparations.” [..] The reviewers’ only concerns with these points so far have been that (1) we approach the topic with too much compassion for the students who are being subjected to this, and (2) we risk exploiting underprivileged students by burdening them with an expectation to teach about privilege. To correct for this, the reviewers urged us to make sure we avoid “recentering the needs of the privileged.” They asked us to incorporate Megan Boler’s approach called “pedagogy of discomfort” and Barbara Applebaum’s insistence that the privileged learn from this discomfort rather than being coddled or having their own experiences (suffering) “recentered.”
When scholarship around pedagogy - how things are taught - is organized around and motivated by cruelty, malevolence and spite, it seems unlikely that activist scolds will be in favor of sparing boys - even black boys - from an intersectional haranguing. If boys are allowed to be boys, what hateful, sexist harridan will get to shame and berate them into understanding that they'll never, ever have to experience being discriminated against based on their sex?

•{Lemon Water & Sea Salt}•
Many of us have morning routines that are wonderful health practices — a morning meditation, a few yoga poses, a brisk walk around the neighborhood, or a delicious fruit-infused smoothie. Daily routines are vital to health and happiness, and this is especially true at the start of the day.
How about a quick and simple glass of warm lemon water with Himalayan salt? This simple drink can boost your morning health and wellness regimen — and it’s so easy to make. There are a number of professional athletes and Olympians who start their morning with lemon and salt water, which may say something about its effectiveness.
A 10-ounce glass of warm #lemon water with Himalayan salt in the morning can increase your immune function, decrease uric acid to fight inflammation, improve digestion, and balance your body. These benefits can be attributed to the vitamin C content of the lemon juice as well as the essential minerals contained in #Himalayansalt. This simple morning drink promotes vitality, health, and overall wellness, and may even improve your sex drive!
•Lemons are excellent for fighting inflammation. Lemons can help dissolve the uric acid in your joints, and also have been found to help build and repair tendons, ligaments, and bone. This anti-inflammatory property may be especially beneficial for people with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, according to an American College of Physicians study on osteoarthritis, published in the Annals of Internal Medicine (2000).
•Aids in proper food and water absorption. A daily glass of lemon water with Himalayan salt may provide a better overall mineral balance, which promotes proper food and water absorption in your body, allowing essential nutrients to get where they need to be.
•Balances your body’s acidity (pH). The alkalizing effects of lemon and natural salt are highly useful for managing your body’s delicate pH balance, which is crucial for optimal functioning of the body’s systems.
•Boosts immune function. One lemon serves up 139 percent of your daily value (DV) for vitamin C. Squeezing one lemon into your morning is a natural alternative to that vitamin C supplement you may be taking.
•It’s a detox for your cells. The all-natural Himalayan salt mixed with lemon juice and water helps to pull toxins from your cells, reducing cellular toxicity. This may reduce your risk for various chronic diseases, as well as make you feel generally awesome!
•Reduces problematic cellulite. Natural salts like Himalayan salt have been used for centuries for skin care. Interestingly, most spa treatments for cellulitis contain some form of salt and/or citrus blend. A few daily gulps of lemon and salt water in the morning may firm up a few of those unsightly areas.
•Clears up skin and adds a fresh glow.Using natural salt for skin problems, such as psoriasis and eczema, dates back to ancient Roman times. Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius’ doctor, Galen from Pergamum, used sea salt for skin diseases, according to Science Tribune (1999).
•Useful for allergy season. It has been suggested that the combination of lemon and salt, specifically mixed into warm water, acts as a natural antihistamine for allergies. It may be the perfect alternative to those pink pills that leave you feeling drowsy.
•Paves the way for better sleep. The natural hormone-balancing properties of lemon and Himalayan salt can be more than useful when it comes to bedtime. Getting the proper amount of sleep is essential for physical health, mental health, productivity, and much more. This hormone-balancing beverage can make an effective nightcap.
•Helps controls blood sugar. The fiber content of lemons helps to balance blood glucose levels, which is useful for type 2 diabetes patients and prediabetics alike, according to a study published in the New England Journal of Medicine (2000).
•Lemons may help detoxify your liver.Vitamin C is essential for producing glutathione, which plays a foundational role in detoxifying the liver. It also has antiseptic properties that are useful for liver function, as well.
•Freshens breath! Lemon and Himalayan salt may not be the first things that come to mind when you think of fresh breath. However, the lemon and salt in this simple morning drink help kill the bad breath bacteria that build up while you’re sleeping.
•May help you chill out. When you get stressed out, do not be so quick to reach for those prescription pills. You may be able to chill out and return to that state of Zen by boosting your vitamin C levels first thing in the morning.
•Useful for reducing blood pressure.Lemons are not all about vitamin C and fiber. They also boast potassium, which is vital for flushing excessive sodium from the body.
•Boost your libido! The vitamin C content and hormone-balancing properties of this morning beverage can help lift your mood. This might be all it takes to boost your libido, without the need for that little blue pill.
•Gets you hydrated right out of the gate. Many people forget how important hydration is, especially after a seven or eight-hour sleep period with no water. Start your morning off right and get hydrated. The water, salt and zesty lemon will get your day off to the perfect start.
•An antioxidant powerhouse vital for, well, everything! Lemon offers up a wealth of vitamins and minerals, while Himalayan salt boosts your mineral and trace mineral levels even more. The antioxidant and detoxifying properties of lemon saltwater pack a powerful, free radical knockout punch.
•May improve your heart health.Lemons and real salt are both exceptional for increasing heart health on their own. However, when you combine the two into one vibrant morning drink, you get even more vital heart-thumping health benefits.
Natural salt supports electrochemical reactions in the body, while negative ions assist in healthy heart rhythm. Lemons are rich in vitamin C, which is, “associated with lower endothelial dysfunction in men with no history of cardiovascular disease or diabetes,” according to a study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition (2006).
•Promotes digestive health. A glass of warm lemon water with Himalayan salt before breakfast, or any meal, helps signal your liver to produce the essential bile needed to clean out harmful gut bacteria. The fiber content and natural salt will also promote digestion.
Are you ready to commit to this simple and health-promoting morning drink? I have been drinking warm lemon water with a little bit of Himalayan salt every morning for months, and I absolutely love it. My energy levels are up, and I feel as cool as a cucumber throughout the day.

Is Coffee Healthy? Discover the Science-Backed Health Benefits of Coffee:
Coffee is a beloved beverage for millions around the world, but beyond its rich flavor and energizing effects, you might wonder: Is coffee actually healthy? The answer is a resounding yes. Numerous scientific studies have revealed that coffee offers a wide range of health benefits, making it more than just a tasty morning ritual. Let’s dive into the science-backed health benefits of coffee and discover why this popular drink is good for you.
Rich Source of Antioxidants Fighting Free Radicals: Coffee is packed with antioxidants, which play a crucial role in protecting your body from oxidative stress and free radical damage. Antioxidants help neutralize harmful molecules that can contribute to chronic diseases and aging. In fact, for many people, coffee is the largest source of antioxidants in their diet, surpassing even fruits and vegetables.
Enhances Brain Function Mental Sharpness: Caffeine, the primary active ingredient in coffee, is a well-known stimulant that can improve various aspects of brain function. It works by blocking adenosine, a neurotransmitter that promotes relaxation and sleepiness. As a result, caffeine enhances cognitive functions such as memory, mood, vigilance, and reaction times, helping you stay sharp and focused.
Boosts Physical Performance Exercise Efficiency: Coffee is often consumed by athletes and fitness enthusiasts before workouts, and for good reason. Caffeine increases adrenaline levels in the bloodstream, preparing your body for physical exertion. It also mobilizes fatty acids from fat tissues, making them available for energy. This leads to improved physical performance, endurance, and strength, making coffee an effective pre-workout drink.
Supports Heart Health Cardiovascular Protection: Moderate coffee consumption has been linked to a lower risk of heart disease and stroke. The antioxidants in coffee help reduce inflammation and protect the cardiovascular system. Additionally, regular coffee drinkers have been found to have a reduced risk of heart failure and other heart-related conditions, making coffee a heart-healthy choice when consumed in moderation.
Reduces the Risk of Type 2 Diabetes Blood Sugar Control: Type 2 diabetes is a major health concern globally, but coffee may help reduce the risk. Research indicates that coffee drinkers have a significantly lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes, thanks to the bioactive compounds in coffee that improve insulin sensitivity and glucose metabolism. This protective effect is observed with both caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee.
Protects Against Neurodegenerative Diseases Brain Health Preservation: Coffee consumption has been associated with a reduced risk of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. The caffeine and antioxidants in coffee help protect brain cells from damage and support the production of neurotransmitters like dopamine, which are crucial for maintaining brain health. Regular coffee consumption may lower the risk of developing these conditions by up to 65%.
Lowers the Risk of Certain Cancers Cancer Prevention: Coffee has been linked to a lower risk of several types of cancer, including liver and colorectal cancer. The antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties of coffee help protect cells from DNA damage, which can lead to cancer. Studies suggest that regular coffee drinkers may reduce their risk of liver cancer by up to 40% and colorectal cancer by 15%, highlighting coffee’s role in cancer prevention.
Promotes Longevity Living Longer: Given coffee’s protective effects against various chronic diseases, it’s no surprise that it’s also associated with increased longevity. Several studies have shown that coffee drinkers have a lower risk of death from all causes, particularly from heart disease, stroke, and certain cancers. By incorporating coffee into your daily routine, you may be supporting a longer, healthier life.
Improves Mental Health Mood Booster: Coffee isn’t just good for your body; it’s also beneficial for your mind. Regular coffee consumption has been linked to a lower risk of depression and may even reduce the risk of suicide. The caffeine in coffee can boost the production of mood-enhancing neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine, helping to improve your mood and overall mental well-being.
Aids in Weight Management Metabolic Boost: Coffee can help with weight management by boosting your metabolism and increasing fat burning. Caffeine stimulates thermogenesis, the process by which your body generates heat and burns calories. This effect, combined with coffee’s ability to suppress appetite, makes it a useful tool for those looking to lose weight or maintain a healthy body weight. Conclusion So, is coffee healthy? The answer, supported by a wealth of scientific research, is a definite yes. Coffee offers a wide range of health benefits, from protecting your heart and brain to boosting your physical performance and mental well-being. While it’s important to consume coffee in moderation to avoid potential side effects like jitteriness or sleep disturbances, incorporating a daily cup or two into your routine can be a simple and enjoyable way to enhance your overall health.

WHAT ARE THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF EXERCISE?
The majority of individuals are aware that regular exercise is beneficial to their health, but less is known about the specifics.
Some individuals just use exercise to improve their physical appearance, which can sap their desire and consistency. While having aesthetic objectives is OK, taking a more comprehensive approach to fitness might help you stay motivated to be active and enjoy the health benefits of regular exercise.
The NHS advises adults to be active every day and strive for at least 150 minutes of physical exercise each week through various activities to keep healthy. But any kind of exercise, even ten minutes a day, will help you feel better, so start small and increase your physical activity wherever you can.
What are the health benefits of exercise?
Here are just a few of the many incredible benefits from living an active lifestyle:
Improved heart and circulatory health:
There are several ways that regular exercise might lower your risk of heart and circulation disorders.
It accomplishes this, among other things, by enhancing the muscles' capacity to get oxygen from the blood more efficiently. This lowers blood pressure since your heart needs less effort to circulate blood around the body swiftly. Moreover, you can prevent heart attacks and conditions like high cholesterol, coronary artery disease, and heart attacks by strengthening your heart and enhancing your circulation. Improved insulin resistance from exercise can aid in the reversal of type 2 diabetes.
2. Stronger muscles, bones, and joints:
Exercise strengthens all of the tissues in your body, something you may already be aware of given that it can help you develop bigger, stronger muscles. Frequent exercise creates strong, flexible muscles, increases bone density, and improves joint function and range of motion—all of which help to prevent injury as we age.
3. Weight control:
Although BMI and weight aren't the only factors that determine health, most people are at their healthiest when they have a healthy balance of muscle and fat. Studies reveal that being underweight can result in problems like osteoporosis, infertility, malnutrition, and a weakened immune system, while obesity can raise the risk of many diseases, including heart disease and osteoarthritis, as well as other physical impairments like joint discomfort.
In addition to improving your diet, exercise can help you control your weight and achieve a more muscular or fat-free body composition.
4. Better mood and stress management:
One excellent strategy for enhancing mental health is exercise. Exercise causes the body to create endorphins, sometimes known as happy hormones, which are molecules that improve mood. Exercise also releases endorphins, which the body naturally releases in reaction to stress or pain to help reduce these symptoms and elevate mood. For this reason, exercise is an excellent coping mechanism for stress or low mood.
5. Increased energy:
Your energy levels can be raised by exercise in the short and long term. Energy levels can benefit immediately after exercise since exercise causes the body to release endorphins and enhances the passage of oxygen and nutrients to the muscles and brain. Over time, physical activity contributes to the production of more energy by the body and increases endurance, which reduces exhaustion from daily duties.
6. Better brain function:
Exercise has been linked to improved brain function, learning, and memory in numerous scientific research on the subject of cognition and exercise. This can happen both directly and indirectly. Directly, it can happen when the brain receives more oxygen and when a hormone called irisin is released, which affects the area of the brain that regulates learning. Anytime you find it difficult to focus or process information, a quick workout will help!
7. A better night's sleep:
Having trouble falling asleep? You can treat insomnia and increase both the quantity and quality of your sleep with exercise. Consistently receiving enough sleep has countless advantages, such as increased energy, enhanced focus, better hormone balance between appetite and fullness, decreased inflammation, and enhanced immune system performance. Improving your sleep can have a significant impact on your daily mood, even in the absence of exercise's other health advantages!
8. Staying sociable:
Yes, there are health benefits to being sociable! Research indicates that social isolation and loneliness are associated with increased risks of several mental and physical health issues, including depression, hypertension, and heart disease, especially as we age.
Maintaining your physical fitness is a great method to improve your social life in addition to your physical health. There will be a vibrant fitness community you can join, regardless of your interests in running, circuit training, hiking, cycling, or hitting your personal best on the squat rack. Joining a running club or wellness group can help people meet lifelong friends, and fitness courses are a fantastic place to start. Exercise groups can be a great way to make new friends, meet people in a new place, or just widen your current circle of acquaintances if you're feeling lonely.
These are only a handful of the many amazing health advantages of regular exercise; other advantages include a lower chance of cancer, more flexibility and mobility, better sex life, and a longer life span.

The Health Benefits of Outdoor Activities
In today's fast-paced world dominated by technology and indoor living, spending time outdoors might seem like a luxury. However, connecting with nature and engaging in outdoor activities is more than just a leisure pursuit; it's also crucial for our physical and mental well-being. From reducing stress to improving physical fitness, the benefits of outdoor activities are numerous and diverse.
1. Improved Mental Health
One of the most significant advantages of spending time outdoors is its positive impact on mental health. Studies have shown that exposure to nature can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. The sights, sounds, and smells of the outdoors can have a calming effect on the mind, promoting relaxation and improving overall mood. Activities such as hiking, gardening, or simply taking a walk in the park can help clear the mind and alleviate symptoms of stress and anxiety.
2. Increased Vitamin D Levels
Sunlight is a natural source of vitamin D, which plays a crucial role in maintaining bone health, regulating mood, and supporting the immune system. Spending time outdoors allows our bodies to absorb sunlight, leading to increased vitamin D production. Adequate levels of vitamin D are essential for overall health and can help prevent various health conditions, including osteoporosis, heart disease, and certain types of cancer.
3. Enhanced Physical Fitness
Outdoor activities offer numerous opportunities for physical exercise, contributing to improved fitness levels and overall health. Whether it's cycling, hiking, swimming, or playing sports, outdoor activities provide a fun and enjoyable way to stay active. Regular exercise helps maintain a healthy weight, strengthens muscles and bones, and reduces the risk of chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions.
4. Better Sleep Quality
Exposure to natural light during the day can help regulate the body's internal clock, leading to better sleep at night. Spending time outdoors, especially in the morning, can help synchronize your circadian rhythm, making it easier to fall asleep and stay asleep. Additionally, physical activity during the day can promote deeper and more restful sleep, further enhancing overall sleep quality.
5. Stress Reduction
Nature has a calming effect on the human mind, helping to reduce stress and promote relaxation. Activities such as hiking, gardening, or simply sitting in a park can provide a welcome escape from the pressures of daily life. Being surrounded by greenery and natural landscapes can lower cortisol levels, the hormone associated with stress, and increase feelings of well-being and tranquility.
6. Boosted Immune System
Spending time outdoors exposes us to various natural elements, which can help strengthen our immune system. Fresh air, sunlight, and exposure to different environments can stimulate the production of white blood cells and enhance immune function. Additionally, outdoor activities often involve physical exercise, which has been shown to improve immune response and reduce the risk of infections and illness.
7. Connection with Nature
In today's urbanized world, many people are disconnected from the natural world. Engaging in outdoor activities allows us to reconnect with nature, fostering a sense of appreciation and stewardship for the environment. Whether it's observing wildlife, exploring forests, or simply enjoying a picnic in the park, spending time outdoors reminds us of the beauty and importance of the natural world.
In conclusion, the benefits of outdoor activities for health are vast and multifaceted. From improving mental well-being to boosting physical fitness and immune function, spending time in nature offers a range of advantages that contribute to a healthier and happier life. So, next time you have the opportunity, step outside and enjoy all that the great outdoors has to offer.
