AU where Jango time travels, saves Jaster, and accidentally becomes Dooku’s controversially young boytoy and accidentally convinces him to become Obi-Wan’s master when he meets the 10 year old in the temple while avoiding Jaster in the archives and gets attached to Smolbi-Wan. He is now a stepdad. Fuck. Jaster keeps stealing the kiddo while Jango is getting his back blown out by a sorta former Sith.

okay, so i've mentioned before how boba isn't above using wordplay/intentionally ambiguous wording/verbal loopholes to get out of rules or agreements he doesn't like while maintaining a front of ~*being true to his word*~. i believe the phrase i used was, "like some fucked up fae creature."

HOWEVER, after a review of additional expanded universe materials, i have come to the delighted realization that he has truly been doing this shit non-stop since he was a child. it's literally like,

"dad says i'm supposed to feed these feeder mice to this eel while he's gone, but TECHNICALLY, the words he used were, 'we'll be back when these are gone,' which doesn't necessarily mean dead. ALSO he's said that "patterns are traps," and killing a mouse each day would be a pattern, so if i let some of them go instead, then TECHNICALLY, i'm just following his advice :)" and "dad said i need to be in this apartment when he gets back, which TECHNICALLY means he said i could sneak out as long as i'm fast enough to get back before he does :)"

which leads to

"jabba said he wants me to destroy every last member of this smuggling ring despite the fact that the majority of them are enslaved children but i only promised to 'deal with' them, so if i kill their master and send them away, i've still technically destroyed the entire gang and 'dealt with' the members :)"

which leads to

"the hutts are only paying me to kill this dude and deliver them a grisly video of his death, but they didn't say i couldn't do a bunch of extra stuff like torch his merchandise afterwards, just that i wouldn't be paid for it :)"

which leads to

"it would technically be a breach of code for me to kill these guys unrelated to an active bounty, even though i really want to and it would be necessary to save the life of a third party, but oh would you look at that, said third party happened to find three credits in his pocket, and as long as i verbally agree to said fee, this is now an ongoing bounty, and i can kill with impunity :D"

which leads to

"based on your promise, i hereby verbally agree to backstab my entire galaxy and help deliver it to the yuuzhan vong for purging and enslavement (but since i know your promise is a lie, my promise "based on" it is also a lie and i'm actually going to secretly go behind your back and do the opposite :)"

basically, if you're gonna hire boba fett for something specific, you better have outlined at MINIMUM a 12-page document outlining exactly what he can and cannot do, or he WILL just fuck off and do whatever the hell he wants

22. “The children were eager to behold my blood”

Obi-Wan’s eyes darted about, taking in the lack of anyone in the hall.  He knew that the Force said there was no reason to be concerned, that Wad’e and Kal were distracting any of the Kaminii so the eyayade could be the children they were instead of the products the Kaminii wanted them to be.  And yet…

The lack of anyone was concerning.  Somehow he was quickly understanding why the Cretch Masters were so worried when their charges slipped away.  He owed so many apologies to Master Valesh…

Obi-Wan slowly walked down that hall towards one of the training rooms.  He could feel Jango and some of the eyayade there, with no overt negative feelings.  He still was apprehensive though.  Why was it so quiet?

He opened the door and blinked.  His mouth twitched.  He had to swallow his first words.

“Did I come at a bad time?” he finally asked, fighting to keep his voice even.

Jango blinked at him like a tooka who just slipped from a ledge and was pretending that was the plan the whole time.  He then glanced down at the chair he was in, the wire wrapped around him, and the squad surrounding him.

The CC’s shifted awkwardly, the one with auburn hair starting to open his mouth then closing it.

Alpha-17 on the side of the room raidiated smugness.  And was standing next to a box of…toy weapons?  Obi-Wan wasn’t sure where he even got them.  Ah wait, there was Boba mouth covered by his hands sitting on the floor next to Alpha-17.

“The children were eager to behold my blood,” Jango finally answered, “I, ah, thought you had a meeting with your friend Quinlan?”

“His last mission took an unexpected turn and has been extended,” Obi-Wan waved off, eying the box.  He didn’t want to bring up that Quinlan was in the midst of tracking the last known Sith from before they disappeared.  At least not around the children.  They may look about 10 (except for Alpha-17 who looked like a proper teenager), but they were still children.

Alpha-17 locked eyes with him and deliberately glanced down at the box.

Well.  If the surly eldest brother was inviting him, who was Obi-Wan to turn them down?

Obi-Wan stepped into the room, craning his neck to see better into the box.

Jango caught on faster than the eyayade surrounding him.

“Now cyar’ika, let’s not be hasty he-”

Obi-Wan lifted the stuffed lightsaber using the Force as sent it over to smack Jango in the face and was delighted as it lit up with a soft blue light.

The children cheered.

Au where Vader finds Luke on Tatooine somehow and brings him to the empire. Secretly. And somehow CC: 1010 gets chosen to be Luke’s guard. (Because of willingness to protect Luke from Vader)

And because of the fact that CC: 1010 would take one look at Luke and put several things together: Because clearly that is Skywalker and Amidala’s secret love child and he most definitely is (probably) force sensitive. And there are such things as baby Jedi. Order 66 says kill all Jedi. And that is a baby Jedi. CC: 1010 would immediately start blasting.

So Vader breaks the chip and Fox wakes up and is informed of his new orders.

Several things go through his mind and naturally comes to one conclusion.

Oh he is gonna raise this boy. And Vader won’t be able to shit about it. What is he gonna do? Kill him? Sure go ahead. It’s not like the child infront of the both of them that is clinging to Fox’s leg will mind.

It’s the starwars version of teaching another parent’s child to ride a bike. But worse.

Which made Kanan and Rex bicker like an old divorced couple. 😂

Thinking about if the Batch had their own biological children, they would then be not only the ‘Dad’ batch, but the ‘Uncle’ batch as well.

Uncle Tech (reluctantly) letting his baby niece play with his goggles. (He has an inability to say no to her)

Uncle Wrecker with a water gun, squirting his nephew in the face. (He feels bad about it later)

Uncle Hunter playing peek-a-boo with his baby niece. (The baby thinks it’s hilarious and Hunter can’t stop smiling)

Uncle Echo using his scomp to write in the sand with his nephew, who’s currently practicing Aurebesh. (He visits from time to time on Pabu, just so he can spend time with them)

Uncle Crosshair falling asleep on the sofa with his baby niece on his chest, snoring. (He’s sleep deprived but won’t say no to babysitting.)

Aunt Omega playing a game of tag on the beach with all of her nieces and nephews at once. (Tech ends up taking a photo of this on his datapad and hangs it on his and Phee’s fridge)

Recently became obsessed with cowboy au's again so I did what any reasonable person would do and made a silly Clone Wars au for pure self indulgence.

Please enjoy my silly little headcannons and maybe one day I'll actually write the thing (I've said this several times before...but one day!)

•Usually with modern au's I try to justify why Jango has so many damn kids but not this time. The man just does okay? Also he's not attracted to women so like..who knows! My favorite plot point is Jango just has a bunch of kids and no one knows why and they just have to accept that

•Jango/Myles supremacy. They're married, thank you. Silas is their third wheel that's just always sorta there.

•Good dad Jango! Always good dad Jango. I just love him okay? It's like a little treat for myself.

•Ages are like...semi...cannon? For the clones the alphas are all adults, as are the commanders. After that, Rex, Kix, Jesse and whoever else I deem to be in that like age range- are 18/19/20. Domino squad, are teenagers. Tup, Dogma, Wooley, Comet are like..ranging from preteen's to 8. Boba is the baby at 3 years old. Don't ask me about Omega or the bad batch please I haven't decided what I'm doing with them yet, probably gonna make them Arla's kiddos like the other modern au of mine. These are also like..just a general guidelines of ages I haven't really fleshed anything out.

•Boba LOVES animals. It's a good thing they live on a farm. He just..befriends all of the animals even the ones that he isn't supposed to (raccoons) Jango nearly had a heart attack. Boba was fine though, just a little grumpy that Jango took him away from the raccoon.

•It's a miracle Boba knows how to walk because he's just constantly being carried/demanding to be carried. If he has the option to be in someone's arms he will be. Spoiled little thing. Honestly all of the Fett kids are probably spoiled, but they like to tease Boba about it cause he's the baby.

•Real talk though, I think Boba is a little sweety. He just loves his aliit(family) so much and wants to spend all his time with them.

•Mando'a is a language because I said so. Mandalorians are still a culture. That's just my go to for all modern au's tbh.

•Jaster is the best grandpa EVER. He's the reason they're all spoiled. Auntie Zam ALSO spoils them rotten. Uncle Bossk does as well it's just a lot less. Hondo...is Hondo let's be honest here. They're spoiled sure but Jango would really like to know WHERE Hondo got everything from (he would not like the answer)

•I haven't figured out how or anything but Codywan IS happening. Same with Blyla (is that Aayla and Bly's ship name?? Gonna pretend it is-)

•In the vain of keeping ages semi cannon Fennec is 19 and a farmhand 👌. She's like..not legally adopted but she might as well be. Jango's baby girl right there. Boba follows her around like a puppy and it only annoys her a little. She's definitely the reason he knows bad words let's be honest.

•I'm leaning towards most face tattoos are just birthmarks. As far as names go those are just their names. No one ever said Jango was good at naming things. Isn't there a comic in legends where they have a pet eel and it's name is just eel?

•Everything I know about 3 year olds comes from the times I have babysat actually 3 year olds and google. So in that spirit, Boba does have a paci in the art depicted below simple because I wanted to draw a pacifier- but Jango is also trying to ween him off it so he doesn't mess up his teeth.

This au has consumed me like..ugh I'm obsessed with it. There may or may not be a pinterest board just entirely dedicated to it. You don't understand how in love with this silly little au I am-

In order: Jango and Boba, Jango braiding Fennec's hair, and Cody!

I don't know if anyone is going to see this, but I'm currently working on a Cody-Centric Fic which is probably going to be put in several parts. I have so many ideas.

If anyone is interested, it's going to be divided into three parts. One on Kamino, one on the War and one on the aftermath. It will not really be a fix-it and really clone centric.

The first part focuses on Cody's relationship with Jango, his batch mates (Fox, Wolffe, Bly, Ponds - heavy on the Fox) and later Rex. But you will notice that Cody is my favourite.

The second part includes Codywan. Sorry not sorry. It's going to be on the lighter side, with I hope lots of funny moments, but it still takes place during a war and Cody will deal with a lot of heartbreaking loss.

I'm not sure about the last part yet, but order 66 happens. It's probably going to be about imperial cody and how he learns to deal with the aftermath of what he's done and how he'll get out of the empire. I plan on including the way Darth Vader deals with clones as a sith and definietly a clone rebellion.

The point of this post is that it's still in the making process. I'm creating a time-line with events right now and have several mindmaps of relationship dynamics and how I'll portray them and just wanted to put the offer out to send me all ideas you've always wanted to see in a fanfic, but know you won't make it yourself. I'm open for shit posts and heavier ones. Your own ideas or some vague feelings. It doesn't matter.

This fic is already going to be written mainly for myself and is very self-indulgent and I thought, why not include everyone who never get's to writing their own fics.

So, yeah.

I really don't get it when authors write clones as Mandalorians who are super attached to their culture and language. I mean, yeah, I get that Jango Fett was a Mandalorian (and so many people are so ridiculously horny for Mandalore, but that's for another day) but they explicitly say - several times - that their home planet is Kamino.

Maybe their training had some Mandalore influence, but we also see that a lot of their trainers are bounty hunters from loads of places as well as having Shaak Ti supervising.

They develop their own culture and traditions - like how they decorate their armour or earn their names - which may start out from Mandalorian roots but are obviously influenced by the war, their jedi leaders, and Kamino more than anything.

I just don't get the vibe from the shows and movies that Mandalore is that important to the clones apart from in that distant way people talk about where their ancestors came from. Whenever they talk about 'home' planet, its Kamino. Jango Fett is just their sperm donor bio-dad who they ignore the existence of most of the time.
