I drew some doodles in my notebook today, approximately 15 minutes each. They're a bit wonky but also recognisable, and that's more than I hoped for after a few months of hiatus

Paul Giamatti first wore this distinctive red and gold costume as King John in the 2011 film Ironclad and even appears on the film’s poster. The piece went on to be used in television – first in a 2013 episode of Da Vinci’s Demons, where Ross O’Hennessy wore it as Commander Quattrone, and later in the 2017 mini-series The White Princess, when it was worn by Nicholas Audsley as Lord Strange.

I'm watching Da Vinci's Demons s03 ep03 and thought why not live blog for a bit. Will I descend into madness in realtime? Who knows? Here we go.

Oh, the Labyrinth man, whose name I don't even know, is still alive. He was stabbed in the stomach last time and doesn't look much better now. I don't know why, but I was starting to like him a bit.

ok. so in the middle of litterally nowhere, I had an idea. And now it won't leave me alone, so I'm gonna share so it leaves my brain alone. My brains has other things to do.

Here is the idea : in a few years, Blake Ritson would make an amazing Havelock Vetinari. An today a young one in an adaptations of Night Watch. From now on, his face will show up in my brain in any scene featuring him.

This idea may have been influenced by his role in Da Vinci's demons some years ago. He had some vibes that just rang Vetinari to me?

I could say Being Human in a strange way but nope, I will say Hemlock Grove (just watch it, soft mlm subtext, also great rec for being human fans)

8. Black sails (if you watch just one thing from here. watch this. this was so amazingly written and the way the writers shat on homophobes was hilarious anyway its a treasure island adaptation with bad bad pirates going rogue. explicit mlm and wlw bfr. its not even subtext)
