oh my god. okay. i never owned aquemini as a full album, just had radio and then mp3s right, and for twenty-five years i've been like, i love da art of storytellin (pt 1) but ugh slick rick's verse is such a vibe kill. i hate it. i'd just go on to the next song right in the middle of it, that's how much i didn't like his appearance on this song. it just doesn't fit with the feeling of the rest of the track for me.

but tonight in the year of our lord 2024 i just learned he's only on the single version, not the album version. YEARS of my life, wasted!!!
