Been a bunch of rallies around Australia this weekend to raise awareness about violence against women. Good to see people also speaking up about the genocide in Palestine at the same time.

Sucks that the DV sector remains underfunded and understaffed. Community legal centres have been struggling with funding, and I know specialist DV services are facing the same issues. It's also heartbreaking to see how geographically, women living in regional, rural, and remote areas are unable to access services because they're outside catchment zones. This is exacerbated for women living in those areas who have limited phone and internet access, either due to geography or abuse.

This whole AI thing and the rancid takes about art from non-creatives has me deep in thoughts about how being an artist is not just a label, or the output. It's part of my core identity; it's how I move through the world; it's everything I am??? 

The process is 99% of it. ​ Just like athletes spend their lives training more than competing or performing. It's not that difficult to understand why artists viciously scoff at the idea that art can and should be replaced with one push of a button.
