               from   the   moment   they   left   nora,   her   eyes   had   scanned   the   crowd   of   faces   for   any   that   resembled   his   own.   even   with   their   own   performance   nearing   they   found   it   hard   to   shake   the   buzzing   delight   making   its   way   throughout   them.   luna   had   never   been   more   happy   to   be   so   wrong   about   something:   nora   wasn't   a   high   school   sweetheart   like   they'd   deluded   themselves   into   believing.   drew   was   single.   and   drew   was   here.   stepping   off   the   stage   with   this   information   in   their   back   pocket,   they   couldn't   get   out   of   her   stage   costume   and   into   their   festival   fit   quick   enough   (   making   sure   to   put   on   a   glossier   lip   gloss   and   do   a   cuter   hairstyle   than   the   bun   they   originally   planned   ).   it   took   them   a   bit   longer   to   find   him   than   expected.   they   were   two   churros   in   by   the   time   they   spotted   him.   after   a   quick   lipstick,   lipgloss   touch   up   and   hair   check   they   made   their   way   over   to   him.   ❝   since   there's   no   red   colored   cotton   candy,   does   this   mean   you   go   for   the   pink   one   ?   y'know   on   principle   alone   ?   ❞   they   teased   as   they   stood   beside   him   fighting   back   the   smile   that   wanted   to   appear.   ❝   are   you   that   adverse   to   the   blue   ?   is   that   the   reason   you   didn't   text   me   ?   gotta   be   honest,   that   stings   a   bit.   i   thought   you   would   look   past   that   and   see   the   real   me.   ❞   to   add   to   her   dramatics   her   hands   crossed   over   her   heart   as   they   pouted.
