It's Bingo Time!!

I usually do some kind of bingo for my birthday/spring and I figured it'd be fun to do one again this year. Though the timeline may be different, we'll see lol.

Prompts are all spring/summer themed or smut. Any and all of them can be made as suggestive as you’d like, you don’t need to keep the smut fics to the smut prompts!

Submissions can be anything! A mood board, headcanons, drabbles, gif sets, a one shot, a mini series/collection including all the prompts, social media au’s, whatever you want!!

A few years ago I became fixated on a doll for sale second hand. I admired her sculpt but heard things about the body I wasn't ecstatic about but her price kept lowering. Working 70+ hours a week I had no reason not to when she fell under 100 usd shipped from the seller

I kept my eye on the sales post and I saw a comment asking about her, clothes, wig and eye sizes. The profile had fashion dolls and other adjacent hobby interests. It was obviously a newbie who really latched onto the doll as well, but she wouldn't be able to afford her until her next paycheck came in.

I messaged the seller as soon as I read the comment and asked to buy the doll for the commenter, the seller agreed and kept me anonymous as I didn't want beggars or even some sort of gassing up for doing what I did.

My biggest regret is I didn't follow this newbie and the seller deleted the post along with the comment from the account, I'd love to know where the doll ended up and to have followed the newbie's journey. I check the hastags of her but there are so many of this sculpt that I'm never sure if it's the same doll.

Where ever she ended up, I hope the doll and her owner have done well through the pandemic and that life and the hobby has treated them well.

with the twitter junk I’m trying to move to tumblr 😭 but idk how tagging works and what ppl usually do and wanted to ask you bc your main site is tumblr iirc sjdjdj so like. do you have any advice 🎤

So the way tagging works is you press the hastag at the bottom of the post and just tag one by one anything you find relevant

For example i usually tag the fandom and if its art i also tag that, i tag my own posts under #lucy blabs and i tag my asks as #answered, aside from fandom tags most of these are basically whatever u want like someone might tag their asks as #ask or #thank you for the ask or anything they really want, those are kinda more to make ur blog be more searchable (as searchable as tumblr can be lmao) then to actually be found in any wider tags (tho if ur posting art of fics or edits or whatever youd tag anything relevant like #fandom #relevant character #relevant ship etc so ur works CAN be found in those tags) I hope all of that makes sense. Tags are also used to just kinda, talk in them! Like usually if i want to comment on art or make a joke or anything ill do it in tags like #Great art op! I usually think of this as unobtrusivly whispering your thoughts, fbvhb i found twitter v intimidating because if you wanted to say something u had to comment on the post and that felt like walking right up to the creator and talking in their face! Scary!

What people usually do...basically anything? Im not really sure what this is refering to chfg. Its not that different from twitter, you can post your own stuff and share other peoples stuff. The biggest difference i can think of that unlike twitter where u may see content the person u followed reblogged/liked/commented/even just is following the person whos content ur seeing, tumblr is 100% about reblogs. There is an option to leave ur likes visible on ur page, but ppl will only see those if they specifically go to your page. What your followers see of you on their dashes is 100% what u reblog. It makes it super easy to currate your dash because you get exactly what you follow, you wont be getting some random persons content on ur dash just because the person u follow is following them (unless its a blazed post ofc). Use tags, block tags u dont like and follow ppl who post what you like and you should be good! Also dont worry about the follower count or unfollowing someone if u stop liking what they post, follower count isnt publicly visible on tumblr and nobody seriously cares about it

Hello again... so, I saw your answers in a post calling Zutarians toxic and whatever, and I just thought about how crazy that was. I don't know much about tumblr because I blocked the keteeng hastag, but on instagram is incredible the amount of keteeng posts with the Zutara hastag. I blocked sooo many Atla accounts that I can't even count anymore. They posted things accusing, harassing Zutarians, or just Keteeng images that I, as a Zutara shipper, don't wanna see it! I never understood why they do this, because I follow a lot of zutara pages and nobody puts Keteeng hastag under Zutara posts (but some keteengers still go there start fights). It's soo annoying! I saw Zutara fans asking Keteengers pages to stop using Zutara hastag, but they don't care. They are incredible rudes... swear, I can't barely stand Atla anymore.

It's so obnoxious because people will try and use "x zutara shipper did x thing once" as an excuse to behave horribly, and in some cases it's "I heard that zutara shippers were horrible so I feel justified in my bad behavior." The OP of the post wasn't doing that but the post still rubbed me the wrong way because the response to the question "is zutara bad? Are the shippers bad" shouldn't be, "well, some are, and taint the image of the ship" it should be "no, of course not." Some people behaving badly doesn't taint a ship's image because zutara fans do not owe it to anyone to uphold an image. That's also why I get annoyed when even zutara fans try and police other fans under the guise of "we gotta uphold the image so they won't have a reason to hate us!" It's respectability politics, which, newsflash, never stopped people who are determined to hate you from hating you and then blaming you for it. And bending to their attempts to manipulate you just gives them more fuel to abuse you with. People like that aren't worth your effort.

When I first got into the fandom I saw numerous posts about how you had to like KA over zutara because of bad behavior from zutara fans. Which makes no sense to me at all. I ship what I ship because I like it, not as a performance of virtue, and I have no respect for people who do the latter and even less for those who demand I do so.

I wanted to clear things up a little. I saw a video where the person searched up the definition of shipping under the Urban Dictionary, and this is what came up: "The act of one wanting/supporting two individuals involved in a romantic relationship." So this contradicted others saying they ship but like not in a romantic way. I know everyone would have their own variations of the definition. I understand all of this is just pure fantasy, and just an imagination that could be true.

And if you go on tik tok, under all the videos hastagged #jikook, and #taekook, there would be people telling you to stop shipping. And honestly, I'm not very thick-skinned, so this kinda got to me. But I'm trying to change. And I wanted to see how others ignored the hate. Cause I really don't want to be part of the toxic TOXIC/corrupted side of the fandom. I overwhelm myself with too much opinions sometimes, and that leads me down the wrong path, and thats exactly what happened when I saw hate for an interaction i enjoyed. I'm really sorry about that!

I'm not really as heavy shipper, more of a supporter. Jikook is the only one where I can see something blooming, but otherwise, I do see all of them as platonic soulmate till they decide to official it or just keep it a secret forever.

Oh, and jikook would be endgame for me. But if they are actually just the most fruity best friends out there, without anything between them, I'd still 100% support. It's their life and their decision, and I'm grateful to get a snippet of them. I honestly don't care too much if they're straight, gay, pan, bi, etc., cause in the end they were always themselves. Having a sexual preference doesn"t change ANYTHING. This goes for all the members. Their love life is none of my business to be frank, but I like to support their interactions and hope they'll find their soulmate. I try to know my distance as a fan, and I will continue that till the end.

Hi anon, thanks for coming back and explaining a bit more about your first ask. I think I understand a bit more now.

I think it all depends on the individual. For some people, the attacks or hateful insults are too much and they prefer to withdraw, close their accounts or just ship in private, others just don't pay attention to them sometimes is annoying but in general, they just don't pay attention to them. I definitely fall into that second group, at least for now. I hope it never changes.

I always try to ignore what others say or at least when their words are negative. I always try to have confidence in myself, in what I believe, what I see and hear (the ask I posted before this one fits well here) although it is important sometimes to consider other people's opinions and sometimes it is good to do so, I always keep in mind that we all have only opinions, subjective guesses and that no one knows the truth.

Another thing that has helped me a lot is knowing which accounts to follow here on Tumblr, Instagram and especially on Twitter. Not reading comments under certain posts, that one, in particular, helps a lot.

Honestly have confidence in yourself, in your opinion. Don't let other people's opinions outweigh yours. But that's what works for me, as I said at the beginning, it all depends on the individual.

Tumblr Tagging System: Garbage or Trash? Navigating the Dumpster Fire One Hastag at a Time.

So you'll notice there have been many people lately having trouble with their posts showing up in the tagging system. So I went on a voyage to try and figure out, "What the fuck is going on, Tumblr?"

First thing I did was started out on my main blog. That didn't work because it had a fucking shadow ban on it. So I used a few different side blogs. I used a popular tag #South Park, a random ass key smash #jdbfjsksn, and then loaded on as many tags as I could. I also played with different tags.

After all this I came to the conclusion, while Tumblr definitely has a better tag searching system then other platforms, it's still fucking garbage. The actual system isn't so much the problem. It's the stoned out towels running the joint.

So here are some notes:

Don't cuss in the tags. Any curse word (fuck, shit, ass, dick, cock, pussy) will immediately hide your post. Just leave them out.

Don't tag your NSFW. Don't even tag it Not Safe For Work. Mention it in the post. Depending on what it is, put it below a cut/read more, just don't tag it. Auto blocked so fast from all tags

While I'm on it, you don't have to go k//yman in the body of your text. Your post doesn't show up in the kyman tags. I'm not telling you what to do, I'm just explaining, you don't have to anymore.

Don't use special charaters unless you're wanting to invalidate that tag. Tagging it as k//yman just makes it show up in the k tag. Just don't tag it. It's cool. You want to chat in the tags but don't want them to accidentally be searchable? Add a nice symbol at the beginning like -

Tag order doesn't matter. You'll show up regardless of the number of tags. Tag #3 shows you as well as tag #10.

Make sure you're not hiding your posts from Tumblr search. There are two options under visibility, one hides your from all search engines including Tumblr. One hides you from Google and Google. (No one uses other search engines)

Make sure Tumblr hasn't fucked you over for no reason. Toss a key smash into the tags and see if you show up. If you don't, well you know Tumblr done fucked up. Send them a message and get your account fully restored. More than likely it happened because you once reblogged raw chicken and now you're labeled NSFW.

If you're participating in a week, just @ it. They'll see your post and you won't have to wonder if tags are working okay today. Because likely, they're not.

Tagged reblogs don't show up in the tags.

This is by no means a complete guide. This is just a simple thing to help you on your mission to get all the views on your work.

Seriously though, @ the blog is your best option. And don't forget to add in tags such as ship and charaters. This will alert people who may not know the week exists. Reach out to the week if your stuff is being missed.

If you're running a week, I highly suggest you encourage people to tag you in the post on top of your preferred tags.

I don't know if you'll publish this . Maybe you'll feel it's not what your blog is for. I'd totally understand. I guess I just needed to write it down. But I've been really struggling with fandom in the last few month. And this morning, I woke up to something that just disgusted me. I'venever been ashamed of being a fan of something. I'm a granny in terms of fandoms (even if I'm only in my early 30s). Been there, done that. I've been in fun fandoms, in drama-prone ones, in peaceful ones.... (1/

But I was ashamed today to be linked to the olicity fandom. Because we used to be a good one. It changed for the worse when "winning" became more important than the show, when Trash/rpf shipping turned people into assholes because "someone" is not following the script they wrote for him/her and became haters because of that (1. that's coming from someone who was a trash shippers or at least had fun with it and 2. when you supposedly dislike someone but stalk anything he/she says or does, (2/?)

that's being a hater) Now it's the same kind of behaviours I've hated parts of the comic fandom for: wishing bad ratings, creating a messed up hastag like s5susks/arrowisover because you think some are too sensitive when disagreeing with your negativity (pots meet kettle), telling people that #ImwithArrow is "gross" and "naive" (or people who tweet that) and that we're policing their negativity when we tweet that (no...just as you wanna hate, we just want to support what we (3/?)

ike. Do I like everything this season? Nope. Same as with s1/2/3/4 (soapy moments, T dying, too much of some things, mm alive, the lie, susan...). But I have fun watching and I don't want to be made feel like an idiot for that. I don't want these shady people/it's all awfull crowd to be what represents me. And unfortunately, it's what they're doing. Because they'll keep on like that until our ship reunites (and even then) and will get down on anyone that doesn't validate their hate by (4/?)

pretending they're not "hearing our concerns". If we disagree, we'll never tell you "yes, you're right". It's your truth, not mine. I like the season and I truly believe that as a whole it'll be one very cohesive story, no matter how some twists or chapters frustrates me. I don't know what to do. And it's really tiring.
