After offering his remixed interpretations for the likes of The Roots and Amy winehouse, DJ Devastate drops another soulful remix. This time around, the Swedish deejay/producer transforms Anthony Hamilton's "Comin' From Where I'm From," with the assistance of Swedish keyboardist Fredrik Segerfalk (owner of Analog Sweden). Taken from Anthony Hamilton's sophomore album of the same title, the soul-storyteller shares his gripping tale about getting out of the ghetto over the mesmerizing keys, thumping drums and soothing sax of Devastate & Segerfalk's production overhaul. Last night, was an emotional one.. the reunion of London Posse at Jazz Cafe is one for the books. Tunes were remastered, some were even remade from scratch (big up the legendary @djdevastate) @rodneyp_uk was comfortable as ever onstage, because he never stopped performing. When the 1st line of Gangster Chronicle was said, that voice we all missed caused mayhem, IMMEDIATE RELOAD!!!! @20_20_bionic_archive was visibly overwhelmed by how much the crowd LONGED to hear him spit, and how much LOVE the crowd had for him. When lyrics were forgotten, the crowd were right there spitting the classics back at them. It was a family affair for real. Rodney's mum was upstairs watching her son perform for the 1st time ever!! Big up @numberman279 also, who held them down on the wheels. They're in Bristol tonight, back at @cargo_ldn on Thursday. Big up @thedoctorsordersuk for this event.
