Y'all this thyme smells so good. I don't ever have to buy from the store again, except for the plant I need. One lifetime purchase of $2.99! The only thing left to get is a smaller jar for the dried herbs. 😅 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #driedherbs #diyherbgarden #diyherbs #herbalism #herbdrying #herbgardening #herbs #herbjar #mygarden #masonjar #masonjarplants #masonjarplanter https://www.instagram.com/p/ByDitmHh2Rg/?igshid=pqyyvaaqidt0

Goal number one: Living a more organic lifestyle!
First off - I know these are not the best photos however I am a first time blogger and I promise that my photographs will get better with detail of each step and the final projects! I am still finding my niche, so to speak.
In an effort to live a more natural life, my partner and I have decided to start with our food! We are lucky to live in an adorable cottage in the forest away from the town where we live (45 minutes from Vancouver) and have plenty of space to plant our own food. It is also really simple to grow an indoor herb garden! You can see the photos of this easy DIY photographed above.
* Be sure to check back later as I will post our outdoor container garden. I am still working on the building for the pots!
I added my succulent window garden just because I wanted to share how cute and adorable these little guys are.
Anyways!
Above, I decided to grow some garlic and green onions as a practice test and to see where I stand with my green thumb.. so far so good. These two are really simple to grow! You don’t need seeds to start these guys, simply just cut the ends of of your store bought green onions and plant away. Then for the garlic, leave a couple cloves in your window sill and wait for the green stem to sprout. Once the green stem has sprouted plant the garlic bulb in soil.
** side note ** I bought the clear containers for $1.25 each at the Dollar Tree (cute and affordable).
I can’t wait to share these little guys progress and update you with the outdoor herb and veggie garden.
